Abstract

Peternakan ayam closed house merupakan salah satu sektor yang berperan dalam memenuhi kebutuhan protein hewani. Namun, tantangan muncul dalam hal kurangnya tenaga kerja yang terampil untuk pengelolaan operasional harian seperti pengendalian dan pemantauan. Sistem otomasi berbasis PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) dan HMI (Human Machine Interface) dikembangkan sebagai solusi dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Pekerjaan berfokus pada sistem kendali otomatis suhu dan penerangan dalam kandang yang dirancang menggunakan perangkat lunak CX-Programmer dan CX-Designer. Sensor suhu digunakan untuk mendeteksi perubahan suhu yang mempengaruhi kendali PLC terhadap kerja kipas, sistem pendinginan, dan penghangatan. Sistem juga dibuat untuk kendali penerangan berdasarkan jadwal waktu. Kondisi sistem dipantau secara real-time melalui HMI. Hasil simulasi menunjukkan bahwa sistem otomasi berjalan sesuai, di mana suhu dapat diatur sesuai standar untuk ayam umur 1 sampai 14 hari yaitu 25,5°C sampai 32°C dan lampu menyala selama 12 jam. Implementasi sistem otomasi berhasil memperlihatkan kesesuaian dengan ladder diagram yang dibuat pada perangkat lunak. Kata kunci: Otomasi, Suhu, Penerangan, CX-Programmer, CX-Designer.

Abstract

This study explores the advantages of critical reading strategies in the development of undergraduate thesis proposals. Using a qualitative research approach, six undergraduate students from a university in Surabaya were interviewed to gather insights into their experiences. The findings reveal that critical reading strategies play a significant role in supporting students throughout the thesis proposal writing process. Participants reported that these strategies help them understand and evaluate articles for use as sources, sort relevant citations, formulate hypotheses, and draft well-structured proposals. Additionally, critical reading strategies assist students in avoiding plagiarism, compiling literature reviews, drafting the background of the study, and identifying research gaps and questions. Students also noted that employing these strategies enhanced the quality of their proposals, making their work more efficient and effective. These findings highlight the importance of critical reading strategies in academic writing and suggest their potential for improving students’ overall research competencies.

Abstract

The lack of disciplinary character in learners is a challenge in education today. This study describes the process of instilling the character of students through daily habituation with a behaviorist approach, identifying the disciplinary character of students formed from routine activities and identifying the supporting factors for the success of the program. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. This research shows that morning habits such as ceremonies, gymnastics, rihlah, GELIS and SABAR are effective in improving student discipline. The success of this character building is supported by a conducive environment and the role of the teacher.

Abstract

Samplingl was carriedl out usingl a clusterl random samplingl technique, andl 30 studentsl in classl IX.1 were selected asl the experimentall class andl 30 studentsl in lclass IX.2 were selected asl the controll class. Thel research designl used wasl a lpretest-posttest controll group ldesign. This researchl data isl in thel form ofl quantitative datal obtained froml tests of students' mathematical reasoningl abilities. Basedl on thel results lof research using lthe Mann-Whitneyl U ltest, it wasl found thatl the increasel in lstudents' mathematical reasoning abilitiesl in thel experimental classl was higher than thel increasel in lstudents' mathematical reasoningl abilities inl thel controll class. Basedl on this, itl can bel concluded thatl the Probleml Based Learningl model has anl effect onl improving students' mathematical reasoning abilities.

Abstract

Student-athletes have dual demand namely academics and sports achievements. Grit is able to explain student-athletes perseverance and consistency for their achievements. This study aimed to describe the level of Grit in student-athletes at SMA Negeri Olahraga Jawa Timur. This study is a descriptive quantitative research. Respondents in this study were 214 student-athletes in academic year 2020/2021 and the sample were 135 studentsathletes with the sampling technique proportionate stratified random sampling. Measuring instrument used in this study was a Grit scale consists of 12 items (α = 0,671). The results showed moderate level grit was 72,6% and high level grit was 27,4% it can be concluded that student athletes Grit level tends to be high

Abstract

Parental divorce is a traumatic event that has negative impact but can be an opportunity for positive growth. This study aims to determine description of post-traumatic growth in women after parental divorce and its factors. This study used a phenomenological qualitative method with interpretive phenomenological analysis (IPA) involving three participants who had negative impacts but then showed positive growth. The results showed that there were seven growths: development of religiosity, new possibilities, changes in priorities, appreciation of life, increased meaningful relationships, personal strength, in addition, wise mindset which is a new finding. Based on the results of data analysis shows that there are seven growth factors: social support, spirituality, optimism, age, resilience, in addition, pressure, motivation which are two new findings. The results can encouraging children to grow by accepting and taking positive things from parental divorce and reminding the importance many factors can help them to reach post-traumatic growth.

Abstract

Komunikasi interpersonal memainkan peran strategis dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kolaboratif, terbuka, dan produktif, khususnya dalam instansi pemerintahan yang dituntut mencapai visi dan misi institusional secara kolektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas permainan Silent Voice sebagai bentuk intervensi psikologis dalam meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi interpersonal pegawai UPT Penilaian Potensi dan Kompetensi BKD Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest, sebanyak 20 pegawai menjadi partisipan dalam kegiatan ini. Intervensi terdiri atas serangkaian aktivitas penulisan pengalaman emosional secara anonim, pemberian tanggapan empatik, serta diskusi reflektif yang memfasilitasi keterbukaan, empati, dan sikap positif antarpegawai. Hasil uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan peningkatan skor komunikasi interpersonal secara signifikan (p = 0,000), dari rata-rata pretest sebesar 34,70 menjadi 55,00 pada posttest. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa permainan Silent Voice efektif dalam menumbuhkan kualitas komunikasi interpersonal, memperkuat hubungan antarpegawai, serta mendukung terciptanya budaya kerja yang suportif.

Abstract

The increasing usage of artificial intelligence technology has resulted in an increasing variety of uses in the area of education, especially language learning. This research aims to investigate postgraduate students' experiences when using AI for academic purposes. The study reveals that postgraduate students use AI for academic purposes, including interpreting complex vocabulary and verifying their translations. In addition, this research showed that they have cognitive, affective, and behavioral attitudes toward AI but also express concerns about cheating, grammatical errors, and dependency. Furthermore, postgraduate students vocalized the quality of their translations to machines, stating they were similar but had grammatical errors and were relevant to the topic but sometimes not appropriate with the context.

Abstract

Homesickness refers to the longing to go home, which is one of the problems faced by students who are away from home because they are too long tied to their families and the surrounding environment, especially for those who have just adapted. This study aims to determine the effect of providing Self Compassion Training (Mirror Talk) to Reduce Homesickness in Students from Outside South Sulawesi Province. Participants in this study were 12 students from outside South Sulawesi Province who experienced high levels of homesickness. This study used a quantitative experimental form with a quasi-design without a control group using follow-up. Data collection was carried out using a homesickness scale and then conducting self-compassion training (mirror talk) by adapting the self-compassion module (mirror talk). Data analysis was carried out using a descriptive test method. Furthermore, an assumption test was carried out which included a normality test and a homogeneity test. The hypothesis was tested using a paired sample t-test and Anova. The results of the study showed that there was an effect of self-compassion mirror talk training to reduce feelings of homesickness in students from outside South Sulawesi Province. The measurement results obtained showed that there was a decrease in the level of homesickness after the provision of mirror talk training.

Abstract

PMM (Pertukaran Mahasiswa Merdeka) adalah program yang diselenggarakan oleh Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan untuk memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk belajar di berbagai perguruan tinggi di Indonesia. Universitas Al-Azhar Indonesia adalah salah satu kampus yang terlibat dalam mendukung PMM dengan visi untuk membentuk manusia unggul dengan nilai-nilai Islami. Mahasiswa PMM dapat mengalami keberagaman budaya melalui Modul Nusantara dan melakukan kontribusi sosial di Panti Asuhan sebagai bagian dari program ini. Peran panti asuhan dalam memberikan perlindungan dan perawatan bagi anak-anak terlantar sangat penting untuk kesejahteraan sosial. Kontribusi sosial di panti asuhan membantu anak-anak mengatasi tantangan dan membangun masyarakat yang inklusif. Dukungan dari berbagai pihak, termasuk mahasiswa PMM, memberikan harapan kepada anak-anak untuk menghadapi tantangan dan membangun masa depan yang lebih baik.
