Abstract

Betabur shirt is a traditional wedding dress used during wedding ceremony in Mukomuko Regency of Bengkulu Province. Characteristic of this traditional wedding dress on the head decoration using a headlight on the groom, singal on the bride and use the birds kilek. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data were collected using observation, interview and documentation techniques. Types of data in the form of writing and non-writing (recording) obtained through interviews, documentation and literature study. Data are reviewed and analyzed by data reduction steps, data presentation and conclusions. The validity of the data by extending the observation, increasing perseverance, triangulation, peer and auditing. The results showed that the design of traditional women's wedding dress Mukomuko consists of the clothes betabur,4songket cloth, accessories and accessories. The groom is comprised of baju betabur, pants, songket cloth, accessories and accessories. How to wear traditional women's wedding dress starting from the bun, head ornament (singal), songket cloth, shirt, pedalan, shoulder shavings, necklaces, bird kiln, earrings, bracelets and sandals. The groom begins with pants, songket cloth, baju betabur, peding, necklaces, and sandals. The traditional bridal attire of men and women has meaning, symbol or advice on the symbols used.Keywords: design (model, material, color and decoration), complementary clothing, manner of usage and meaning.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a learning media in the form of CD which can assiststudents in learning Flat Pattern Design by methods Pivot Method. This study is alsoto gain an overview of the feasibility study CD media as a learning medium FlatPattern Design. This study is a Research and Development (Research andDevelopment (R & D) is a research method used to produce a particular product andtest the effectiveness of a particular product. CD learning be tested in the Departmentof Family Welfare to students S1 dressmaking class of 2014 the number of 19 people.The steps undertaken in the development of learning CD media are: 1) pendefenisianstage. 2) design phase, 3) the development stage, at this stage of the development ofdata analysis are: 1) the validity of the data analysis, 2) practicalities of data analysis,and data analysis effectiveness. Based on the results of data analysis that is performedto test the validity of validator that expert instructional media obtained a score of 4,13considered valid and validator matter experts obtained a score of 4,4 can becategorized as very valid, the practicalities of the test carried out to a small group ofstudents obtained a score of 3,8 can be categorized as practical while testing thepracticalities large group obtained a score of 4,03 can be considered a practical andeffective data analysis of student test results before and after using instructional CDmedia increased 20,4% which can be considered effective. The media are in a verydecent criteria used as a medium of learning in terms of the validity of the dataanalysis, the practicalities and effectiveness.Kata kunci: CD pembelajaran, flat pattern design, pivot method

Abstract

The purpose of this study to describe the dark-light color (value), the flatness of the color, the intensity of the color (chroma) and describe the dark-light color (value), the flatness of color, and color intensity (chroma) to the effects of differences in long immersion. Data obtained in the form of primary data sourced from 15 panelists, then the collected data is processed and analyzed analysis of varianceone. Results dyeing time of 15 minutes to produce a color Pale Violet Red #D26990. Immersion with 30 minutes to produce a color Mulberry Violet #C55F88. Immersion with 45 minutes to produce a color Mulberry Violet #D75880. For light and dark colors (value) is Fcount ≤ Ftable = 2.344 ≤ 3.22 Then Ho is accepted, meaning that there is no significant effect due to differences in long dyeing. Flatness color is Fcount > Ftable = 12 011 > 3.22 So Ha accepted, meaning that there is significant influence due to differences in long dyeing.The intensity of the color (chroma) is Fcount ≤ Ftable = 2.662 ≤ 3.22 Then Ho is accepted, meaning that there is no significant effect due to differences in long dying.Keywords: Effect time dyeing, croton leaf extract

Abstract

Besurek Batik is a unique handicrafts Bengkulu motive distinctively Arabic calligraphy. This study to look at the shape of the motive and meaning of philosophy on motive. Method used is descriptive method qualitative . Collecting data using observation, interviews and documentation in the city of Bengkulu province of Bengkulu. Data type form of writing and non- writing (recording) the interviews, documentation and literature study. Data reviewed and analyzed by step data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. Extension of the validity of the data with observations, increase persistence and triangulation. The results showed that Batik Basurek consists of 12 motifs and ornaments sourced from naturalists shaped, other shapes and combinations. Kaligrafi motive of symbolizes religious. Burung Kuau motive symbolizes the God Is the God Esa. Motive relung paku symbolizes the wheel of human life. Motive jasmine flowers describe the symbolizes of beauty, elegance and prayer. Motive rafflesia flowers the symbolizes of gratitude. Motive kaganga is symbolizes the by writing script rejang derived from the area rejang lebong. Motive remis is shell small symbolizes of natural wealth rejang lebong. Motive durian symbolizes of patience. Floral teratai symbolizes the environment. Abstract

Riau Malay songket woven in Dumai City is a traditional cloth Melayu Riau Riau Malay cultural heritage. Current issues Malay songket weaving is not widely known outside the community of Riau, this study aimed to describe the Riau Malay songket woven In Kota Dumai which includes the type of thread, color, dye and dyeing yarnThe method used is descriptive qualitative method. Collecting data in this study is done by using observation, interviews and documentation. Source of data taken is shaped notes both written and non-written (recorded) derived from informants who were interviewed, documentation, literature study. Furthermore, the data reviewed and analyzed by the steps of data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions. Data validation was done with the extension of observation, increase persistence and triangulation.The results showed that the type of thread used to weave songket in Kota Dumai Riau Malay is cotton yarn (CSM) with an assortment of colors, embroidery thread and gold thread for motives. Riau Malay songket woven color in Dumai city which initially predominantly use original colors (red, yellow, green) has developed into unlimited colors, so that the use of color today are very diverse. Dyes used for dyeing yarn dye is artificial (synthetic). Substances in the form of powder or powder color is called dye procion. Natural dye is not used as a reason for the creation of a long natural dyes and natural dye material limitations that exist. The process of yarn dyeing yarn bleaching done in advance, after the bleached yarn dyeing yarn made into a synthetic dye..Keyword: Songket, Melayu, Dumai

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the patterns, materials, weaving techniques and types of products in woven Kubang. This research is descriptive qualitative research method .The type of data in the form of primary and secondary data.The technique of collecting data through observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques with interactive model analysis techniques relating to the subject matter that is the data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The results of the research are woven motifs Kubang there are 23 types. The motive there that comes from plants, animals and objects. Thread woven material that is lungsi, and the weft yarn making motive. Weaving technique originally prepare tools and materials. Before the weaving process begins there are some processes that need to be done are: mangumpa, menghani, mengarok, menyuri and connecting threads and menuring. After all the process completed before the weaving process begin. The products produced by the weave Kubang is baju kurung, a skirt, scarf, abaya ,koko ,dress shirt, sarong ,songket and children clothing .     Kata kunci: tenunan Kubang, kecamatan guguak

Abstract

This study aims to describe the name of the color (hue), the bright dark color (Value) and the color flatness of the silk dye results using mangosteen peel skin extract (Garcinia Mangostana l) with mordan water tapai black sticky and cassava tapai water. This type of research is an experimental research. The data used are primary data sourced from 15 panelists, then the collected data is processed and analyzed using ANOVA and Percentage. Immersion of silk material with mangosteen peel extract (Garcinia Mangostana l) without mordan produces Antique white color with bright value and flatness of flat color. Mordan Air Tapai Ketan Hitam is Pale Golden with value is quite bright and flat color of paa category is quite flat and mordan water tapai cassava is Almond off with equal value of light and flatness of color in flat category. The result of analysis of dark data of bright color (value) shows Fcount> Ftable = 3.320> 3. 22 It means there is significant influence to the dark of color (value) due to mordan influence. In the flatness of the color indicates Fcount> Ftable = 26.169> 3.885 This means that there is a significant effect on the color of the mordan effect.

Abstract

This study is a descriptive research with quantitative approach that aims to describe the perception of students S1 and D3 Fashion Design Family Welfare Department towards the implementation of Field Experience Industry (PLI) in the business/industry. The population in this study is all of the students S1 and D3 Fashion Design has implemented PLI from July to Desember 2012 and from January to June 2013 amounted to 37 people, samples were taken from all populations. Data processing is doing by determining the percentage and categorization. The result of the research showed student’s perception of S1 and D3 Fashion Design Family welfare of the PLI observation activities in the business/industry are in the unfavorable category (63,9%), in planning activities in the business/industry that are in well enough category (74,9%), the pre-production activities are in well enough category (79,9%), whereas the production activities are in the unfavorable category (64,2%), perception of students S1 and D3 Fashion Design on the implementation of PLI in the business/industry well enough (70,1%). For that the students needs to encreas the ebility and skill of student in order to engage in any activity’s PLI in the business/industry. Abstract

This research to describe study activity students of X degree of fashion to regard women fashion subject such as: visual activity, oral activity, listening activity, and metric activity. The kind of this research is quantitative descriptive. The population is all students of X degree of fashion SMK N 6 Padang which are 26 students. All population is the sample. Data analysis did by determining presentation, chategorize and respondents total achievement. The result shows that: (1) visual activity show that high category (78,6%). (2) Oral activity show that high category (77,87%). (3) Listening activity show that high category (70%). (4) Metric activity show that high category (77,69%). Abstract
