Abstract

This study aims to implementation jarimatika method to promote students’ mathematics learning outcome for elementary school. This study was conducted in class third elementary schools. Design of this research was classroom action research. Based on the results of mathematics learning students obtained data on the initial score taken from the scores of the first semester Mathematics exam students before the application of the Jarimatikaini method was 59.62 then the cycle I daily test increased by 13.63 to 73.42 with an increase percentage of 22.80%. It can be concluded that the application of the Jarimatika method can improve the results of third grade elementary school mathematics learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find the correlation between reward and student’s learning motivation. This research is quantitative research. The population in this study is fifth grade students in the seventh cluster of Taman District of Pekanbaru. The sampling technique used by the researchers is the simple random sampling. Researchers took a precision of 10% and the sample used was 115 students. Techniques of collecting data are in the form of questionnaires. Data were analysed using the product moment correlationtechnique. These results indicate that there is a positive and significant correlation between reward and students learning motivation. The significance value is 0,001 < 0,05. The correlation between reward and students’ motivation is at the low level. The large donations or contributions between reward and student learning motivation is 10,2% from coefficient of determination.

Abstract

This study attempts to investigate the positive and the negative impact of negative reinforcement on fifth-grade students’ science learning process. This study was carried out in elementary school 177 Pekanbaru. The kind of research is a qualitative study, and data were collected using video recording, observation, the questionnaire, and interview. Ten learning and teaching activities were conducted in two classrooms, 5 times in VA and 5 times in VB. The results show that the positive impact of negative reinforcement is toincreased students’ motivation to study science. While the negative impact of negative reinforcement is, to have students’ ton fear or vexation dislike to their teacher. The students feel discomfort because the teacher often punished students whenever they made mistakes.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the perceptions of the student teachers of the Elementary School Teacher Study Program (PGSD) as a provision to the teaching profession. This research is a quantitative descriptive. The population of this study were all student teachers from batch 2015 and 2016 who had participated in the introduction to the school field (PLP) program. Sampling in this study was taken using accidental techniques, seen from the number of research samples of 50 student teachers of batch 2015 and 47 student teachers of batch 2016. The data collection method used was a questionnaire. Data analysis techniques were done using quantitative data analysis of percentage formulas. Student perceptions can be seen from each indicator as follows: (1) Indicator of absorption of stimuli or objects from outside individuals from the perception of batch 2015 student teachers acquired an average percentage of 75.28% with the category of "good" and from the perception of batch 2016 student teachers acquired the average percentage of 75.82% with the category "good". (2) Indicators of understanding from the perception of batch 2015 student teachers acquired an average percentage of 78.18% with the category "good" and from the perception of batch 2016 student teachers acquired an average percentage of 69.98% with the category of "good". (3) Indicators of assessment or evaluation from the perception of batch 2015 student teachers acquired an average percentage of 76.76% with the category of "good" and from the perception of batch 2016 student teachers acquired an average percentage of 78.73% with the category of good. Student teachers' perception of the implementation of introduction to the school field (PLP) as a provision to the teaching profession is categorized as "good".

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan menulis paragraf Deskripsi siswa kelas III SD Muhammadiyah 6 Pekanbaru, dari 22 orang siswa, hanya 8 orang siswa (40%) yang terampil dan sisanya 12 orang siswa (60%) kurang terampil. Penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam 2 siklus setiap siklus terdiri dari 2 kali pertemuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis paragraf deskripsi dengan penggunaan media gambar. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas III SD Muhammadiyah 6 Pekanbaru. Data diperoleh melalui observasi dan tes. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase skor aktivitas guru pada siklus I sebesar 66,66%, sedangkan pada siklus II persentase skor sebesar 91,66%. Aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran juga mengalami peningkatan, aktivitas siswa pada siklus I persentase skor sebesar 66,66% sedangkan pada siklus II persentase skor sebesar 91,66%. Hasil keterampilan menulis paragraf deskkripsi pada skor dasar rata-rata sebesar 65,3. Sementara itu, nilai keterampilan menulis paragraf deskripsi pada siklus I skor nilai rata-rata sebesar 87,2, kemudian siklus II meningkat dengan rata-rata sebesar 89. Dari hasil penelitian ini maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media gambar dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis paragraf deskripsi siswa kelas III SD Muhammadiyah 6 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the lack of student activity because of the lack of conformity to the learning model with the science learning process, causing a lack of student activity in science learning. This research is to increase the activity of class IIIB students in Pekanbaru. Elementary School in science learning by applying the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model. This study uses classroom action research. The data in this study are quantitative data. This can be seen from the percentage of student activity in the initial visual observations on student activities paying attention to the teacher with a 42.8% increase. In the activity of observing the experiment with an increase of 86.1%. In oral activities on the activity of issuing opinions with a 66.6% increase. In student activities ask with an increase of 19.4%. On listening activities, when listening to teachers with an increase of 42.88%. On the activity of hearing the results of group discussions with an increase of 80.5%. In writing activities, the activity of writing experimental results with an increase of 50%. In the activity of doing evaluation with an increase of 49.91%. Drawing activity with 41.6% increase. In the metric activity, the activity of choosing tools and materials with a 75% increase. The activity carried out experiments with an increase of 72.2%. From the explanation above that by applying the Contextual Teaching and learning model can increase the activity of students in science learning students of class IIIB SD Negeri 191 Pekanbaru

Abstract

Tradisi Lampu Colok dilaksanakan dibulan Ramadhan, dan tradisi ini menjadi media untuk syiar Islam yang memiliki banyak nilai-nilai karakter. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis nilai-nilai karakter yang terkandung dalam tradisi Lampu Colok di Kabupaten Bengkalis Provinsi Riau. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam tradisi Lampu Colok terdapat nilai-nilai karakter seperti gotong royong, religiusitas, kejujuran, toleransi, disiplin, kreativitas, cinta tanah air, kepedulian sosial, dan kepedulian terhadap lingkungan. Nilai-nilai ini perlu diajarkan kepada setiap generasi masyarakat Indonesia, khususnya di Kabupaten Bengkalis. Oleh karena itu, tradisi ini harus dilestarikan dan diperkenalkan kepada seluruh lapisan masyarakat, terutama di Kabupaten Bengkalis. Tradisi Lampu Colok bermula dari penggunaan lampu minyak sebagai pengganti penerangan listrik di masa lalu. Warga yang pergi ke masjid dan surau membawa lampu minyak untuk menerangi perjalanan mereka dan saat ini, masyarakat menjadi lebih kreatif dengan memasang lampu colok sepanjang jalan

Abstract

Pembelajaran sains merupakan mata pelajaran yang mempelajari berbagai fenomena alam dan sosial dengan menggunakan metode ilmiah. Sains juga dikenal sebagai Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA), yang dimana pembelajaran sains ini guna melatih kemampuan anak untuk mengenal berbagai gejala benda dan gejala peristiwa yang ada dikehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan dalam penguatan konsep ekosistem sains siswa dalam pengembangkan kotak pintar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode dan pengembangan dengan metode 4-D, yang dimana proses pengembangan terdiri dari Tahap pendefinisian (define), Tahap perancangan (desaign), Tahap pengembangan (development), dan Terakhir tahap penyebaran (dissemination). Berdasarkan hasil uji coba media kotak pintar yang diperoleh dari hasil Validasi Ahli Media yaitu memperoleh 87,49%, dan Validasi Ahli Materi dan Bahasa memperoleh 90,62% yang menyatakan bahwa media kotak pintar valid di uji coba pada siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Serta hasil uji coba media kotak pintar pada Respon Guru yang mendapatkan perolehan 92,83%, juga uji coba terhadap siswa dengan menggunakan uji coba satu satu memperoleh 90,1% dan uji coba terbatas memperoleh 89,83%. Sehingga mendapatkan hasil bahwa pengembangan media kotak pintar mendapatkan hasil yaitu Layak digunakan pada materi ekosistem “hubungan antarmakhluk hidup dalam ekosistem”, hal ini dibuktikan oleh Ahli media, Ahli materi dan bahasa, serta hasil uji coba disekolah. Science learning is a subject that explores various natural and social phenomena using the scientific method. Science is also known as Natural Sciences (IPA), and this learning aims to train children's abilities to recognize various object-related and event-related phenomena encountered in daily life. This research aims to strengthen students' understanding of ecosystem concepts in science through the development of a smart box. The research employs the 4-D development model, which includes four stages: the Define stage, the Design stage, the Development stage, and finally, the Dissemination stage. Based on the smart box media trial results, the Media Expert Validation yielded a score of 87.49%, while the Material and Language Expert Validation obtained 90.62%, indicating that the smart box media is valid for testing with fifth-grade elementary school students. Furthermore, teacher responses to the smart box media showed a score of 92.83%, while one-on-one student trials resulted in 90.1%, and limited trials scored 89.83%. As a result, it can be concluded that the development of the smart box media is suitable for use in teaching the ecosystem topic: "interrelationships between living organisms in an ecosystem." This conclusion is supported by validations from media experts, material and language experts, and the results of school-based trials.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the application of didactic situation theory in improving the mathematical problem-solving ability of fifth grade elementary school students on the subject of comparing distance, time and speed. This study uses a quasi-experimental method with pretest and posttest which are forms of formative evaluation used to determine the progress or development of student learning. The study was conducted at SDN 136 Pekanbaru in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 school year. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant effect on students' mathematical problem-solving ability with the application of didactic situation theory in fifth grade elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the difficulties experienced by elementary school teacher education students in completing their final assignments during the covid-19 pandemic. This research uses descriptive quantitative method. The data collection technique used in this study used a questionnaire or questionnaire distributed to 78 respondents. The data analysis technique used was descriptive statistical data analysis techniques. Sources of data in this study are primary and secondary data. The results of this study are that elementary school teacher education students have high enough motivation because they do not want to be a student any longer, students have difficulty in pouring research results into scientific work, students have difficulty identifying educational problems during the covid-19 pandemic. Due to the limited scope, students have difficulty finding references or literature due to the closure of the library so that students use online references which are sometimes difficult to access due to frequent link errors and limited internet quota, and students have difficulty collecting data in the field due to the Physical Distancing policy.
