Abstract

In the Mentawai Islands Regency, West Sumatra Province, Indonesia, during the 2019–2024 period, five road construction projects with contract values exceeding five billion rupiah (non-small qualified contractors) experienced critical delays that resulted in contract termination. The study aims to identify the factors causing delays in road construction projects that resulted in contract termination in the Mentawai Islands Regency, as well as to analyze the most influential dominant factors. The research method used a quantitative approach with a questionnaire instrument distributed to 127 respondents consisting of owners, consultants, and contractors. The sampling technique was purposive sampling, while data analysis was carried out using SPSS software with multivariate statistical methods. The results of the study indicate that there are ten main factors that influence delays in road construction projects resulting in contract termination, namely managerial factors (11.087%), labor (9.164%), equipment (8.903%), supply chain management (7.953%), financial (7.505%), design (7.370%), weather and natural disasters (6.494%), geography and environment (5.128%), procurement of materials (4.506%), and payment (4.107%). The dominant factor causing delays in road construction projects resulting in contract termination in the Mentawai Islands is managerial factors with a contribution of 11.087%.

Abstract

Ergonomics is an important aspect in creating a safe, comfortable, and productive work environment, but is often overlooked in the informal sector, such as motorcycle repair shops. BPJS Employment data shows a significant increase in work accident cases in Indonesia, reaching 370,747 cases in 2023. One of the biggest contributors is work-related muscle and skeletal disorders (Musculoskeletal Disorders/MSDs), which are often found in jobs with non-ergonomic postures. Research Objective: To identify ergonomic hazards faced by motorcycle repair shop workers in Maricaya Selatan Village. Research Method: The research method employed in this study is a descriptive quantitative approach with an observational research design to identify ergonomic hazards among motorcycle repair shop workers in Maricaya Selatan Village. Research Results: Shows that the informal sector such as motorcycle repair shops face significant ergonomic hazards, but are often not handled systematically due to limited facilities and low worker awareness of the importance of ergonomics, the results of the REBA assessment show high (48.6%) and very high (45.7%) occupational hazards, 48.6% of respondents are in the category "changes must be made immediately", and 45.7% are in the category "action must be taken immediately", based on the NBM assessment 77.1% of respondents stated that the work layout was inappropriate, and 11.4% stated that it was very inappropriate.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a local history-based worksheet product that can be used in learning the history of the national movement material and to test its feasibility. The research method used is the ADDIE Research and Development Model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The sample in this study were 27 students of grade XI of SMA Negeri 1 Kateman, Indragiri Hilir Regency. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques were carried out by processing validator and user response data using a rating scale with a scale of 4, then converted into qualitative data.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking skills of students in history learning, as evidenced by students' difficulties in analyzing events, evaluating information, and drawing logical conclusions. Based on these issues, this study aims to examine teacher activities, student activities, and the improvement of students' critical thinking skills through the implementation of a Podcast-based Project Based Learning (PjBL) model in history learning for grade X at SMAN 19 Pekanbaru. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were grade X-1 students totaling 32 people, with data collection techniques through observation and documentation. The research results show that the implementation of the podcast-based PjBL model is able to improve students' critical thinking skills. The results from cycle I obtained a percentage of 39.84% with a 'low' category and increased in cycle II, which reached a percentage of 73.83% with a 'Good' category. The results in cycle II have already reached the percentage of achievement indicators, namely ≥70%. In addition, the activities of teachers and students also showed improvement, marked by more active student involvement in discussions, planning, and podcast project presentations. Thus, the podcast-based PjBL model has been proven effective in enhancing students' critical thinking skills in history learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguraikan bentuk penyajian dikie mauluik yang berlangsung di Korong Bukit Bio-bio, Nagari Sikucua Utara, Kecamatan V Koto Kampung Dalam, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Dikie mauluik merupakan seni vokal tradisional bernuansa Islam, dilantunkan dengan irama bataranun, yang mengungkapkan rasa cinta dan pujian kepada Nabi Muhammad SAW. Tradisi ini berfungsi sebagai media spiritual serta sebagai penguat identitas kolektif masyarakat. Penyajian dikie mauluik terdiri dari 12 bagian lagu yang diambil dari kitab Syarafal Anam, dan dinyanyikan secara bergantian oleh urang siak dalam posisi duduk melingkar. Pertunjukan ini dilaksanakan di surau, baik pada malam maupun siang hari, dengan partisipasi aktif dari berbagai elemen masyarakat, mulai dari pemuda, ibu rumah tangga, hingga niniak mamak. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa tradisi ini mengandung nilai-nilai religiusitas, kebersamaan, dan menjadi media spiritual bagi masyarakat Korong Bukit Bio- bio, Nagari Sikucua Utara, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman.

Abstract

The research titled “Romantic Sadness in the Themes and Genres of Popular Minang Songs: A Producer’s Perspective” uses a semiotic analysis approach. Its aim is to uncover various symbols, metaphors, and hidden meanings that depict feelings of loss, longing, and disappointment, particularly in the context of romantic relationships. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, considered the most suitable for addressing the raised issues. The study is supported by theories focused on analyzing the production process and texts in popular Minang songs. Data is collected through literature studies on Minangkabau music, as well as direct observations from digital media where these songs were released. The results of the study show that romantic sadness, which frequently appears in popular Minang songs, has a profound impact on the social and cultural life of the community. These songs not only influence the way society perceives love, relationships, and loss, but also play an essential role in strengthening Minangkabau cultural identity and social values. Thus, this research provides new insights into how Minang songs with themes of romantic sadness reflect the beauty and complexity of emotions while preserving the Minangkabau culture.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the suboptimal cognitive learning outcomes of students in history learning. This is indicated by the low level of student participation during the learning process, such as the lack of involvement in asking questions, engaging in discussions, and expressing opinions, resulting in less optimal understanding of the material. This condition shows the need for the implementation of a learning model that can increase students’ active involvement. Therefore, this study aims to determine the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model in improving students’ history learning outcomes, to examine the effect of the NHT learning model on students’ learning outcomes, and to identify the extent of its influence in improving the learning outcomes of eleventh-grade students at MAN Insan Cendekia Siak. The research method used is a Quasi-Experimental Design with a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The subjects of this study consisted of two classes: an experimental class of 24 students taught using the NHT learning model and a control class of 25 students taught using conventional methods. Data collection techniques were conducted through learning outcome tests in the form of pretests and posttests. Data analysis included validity, reliability, normality, and homogeneity tests, hypothesis testing using the t-test, and effectiveness testing using N-Gain. The results showed an improvement in students’ cognitive learning out comes after the implementation of the NHT learning model, with an N-Gain value of 0.64, which falls into the moderate category. Thus, it can be concluded that the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model is quite effective in improving students’ history learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to develop animated learning media based on sparkol videoscribe, determine the feasibility of animated learning media based on sparkolvideoscribe, determine the increase in interest in history of class X students of SMAN 1 Tambang by using animated learning media based on sparkolvideoscribe. The method used in this study is Research and Development with the ADDIE model. The validation results by media experts obtained 93.33% with a very feasible category, material experts obtained 91% with a very feasible category. From the results of the student interest questionnaire after using animated learning media based on sparkol videoscribein small groups obtained 91.06% and large groups obtained 84.41% with a very feasible category, and a positive response to animated learning media based on sparkol videoscribe in small groups obtained 88.33% and in large groups obtained 89.55% with a very feasible category. It can be concluded that animated learning media based on sparkol videoscribecan increase interest in learning history of class X students of SMAN 1 Tambang.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship and influence of the implementation of Exambro-based summative assessment on students' learning motivation in History subjects at SMAN 1 Pekanbaru. The method used is quantitative correlational with a population of all 471 students in class XI. Samples were taken using random sampling techniques and data were collected through questionnaires. The results of the Pearson correlation test show a positive and significant relationship between the use of Exambro and student learning motivation with a correlation coefficient value of 0.558, which is included in the moderate or strong enough category. Furthermore, the results of simple linear regression analysis show that the implementation of Exambro-based summative assessment contributes an influence of 31.1% to students' learning motivation. These findings indicate that the use of digital media in evaluation not only increases exam efficiency and security, but is also able to encourage student engagement and enthusiasm for learning through assessment transparency and fast feedback. Thus, digital assessment innovation is very relevant to be implemented in the Merdeka Curriculum to support 21st-century learning.
