Abstract

This paper discusses the Representation of the Minangkabau Women's Activity " Manumbuak Padi" in Evelyna Dianita's painting. Evelyna is a female painter who presents the themes of activities and roles of Minangkabau women such as women's daily activities, women in rituals, women in markets, women in the rural realm and women in kaba / stories. This became the identity of his work as a female painter who was born and grew up in Minangkabau. This article aims to discuss Evelyna's work entitled manumbuak padi from a semiotic perspective. Manumbuak Padi is a form of collaborative activities carried out by Minangakabau women in the gadang home yard, this traditional activity for the Minangkabau community aims to separate rice from its skin. This study uses a qualitative method that passes observations, interviews, documentation and data analysis. Based on the results of the analysis that Evelyna's anxiety about the habit of pounding rice in the traditional way in the Minangkabau community had begun to fade, which was replaced by advanced technology such as helers. This feeling can be seen in the meaning of the sky color symbol that is presented by Evelyna in her work. The writing about Evelyna Dianita's paintings is expected to be a reference, so that there are opportunities for other researchers to examine from different perspectives and sciences.

Abstract

Fraction concepts represent fundamental yet challenging mathematical domains in elementary education, with difficulties particularly pronounced among slow learners who constitute one-fifth of typical classrooms. Traditional pedagogical approaches emphasizing rote memorization have consistently demonstrated limitations in fostering deep conceptual understanding for students with IQ ranges of 70-89. This study investigates the effectiveness of contextual-based concrete media in enhancing fraction recognition abilities among fifth-grade slow learners through differentiated instructional approaches. Classroom Action Research employing Stringer's Look-Think-Act model was conducted across two cycles with 15 fifth-grade slow learners at State Elementary School 005 Sangkulirang, East Kutai Regency. Mixed methods combined qualitative observations of learning processes with quantitative analysis of formative test results. Data collection utilized observation sheets, pre-post achievement tests covering fraction recognition (½, ¼, ¾), and documentation. Success criteria required 75% of students achieving scores ≥70 (minimum mastery criteria). Progressive improvements occurred across intervention phases, with student mastery rates advancing from 20% baseline to 53.3% (Cycle I) to 100% (Cycle II). Class mean scores increased systematically from 51.3 to 69.3 to 77.3 respectively. Qualitative observations revealed transformation from passive confusion to active mathematical discourse, with enhanced student engagement and confidence in fraction-related tasks. Contextual-based concrete media significantly enhances fraction recognition among slow learners, achieving complete mastery through systematic integration of manipulative materials with authentic problem-solving contexts. The findings provide evidence-based pedagogical strategies for inclusive mathematics instruction that accommodates diverse cognitive profiles while maintaining academic rigor.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effect of citronella ark blocks on the fat, lactose, and protein content of Etawah crossbreed goat milk. The study used five female Etawah crossbreed goats, each in their first and fifth lactation periods. A Latin Square Design (LSD) was employed, with five treatments and five replications, as follows: P0: 0% citronella block, P1: 2% of total ration, P2: 4% of total ration, P3: 6% of total ration, and P4: 8% of total ration. The parameters measured included milk fat, lactose, and protein content. The results indicated that the administration of citronella ark blocks had no significant effect (P0.05) on the milk quality of Etawah crossbreed goats. Before treatment, the milk had an average fat content of 4.16%, lactose content of 3.91%, and protein content of 4.11%. After treatment, the milk quality improved, with fat content reaching 4.9%, lactose content 4%, and protein content 4.16%. Therefore, the use of citronella ark blocks may enhance milk quality, offering significant benefits for the dairy goat farming industry.

Abstract

Pertanian padi di Kelurahan Mampun menghadapi tantangan serius akibat serangan hama yang beragam, seperti keong mas, hama pelipat daun, tikus, dan burung. Kurangnya waktu dan akses terhadap penyuluh pertanian menyebabkan keterlambatan dalam penanganan hama secara tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sebuah sistem pakar berbasis web yang mampu mendiagnosis jenis hama pada tanaman padi menggunakan metode Forward Chaining. Metode ini bekerja dengan menelusuri fakta atau gejala yang dimasukkan oleh pengguna untuk menarik kesimpulan secara runut maju. Sistem dikembangkan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan database MySQL. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dengan penyuluh pertanian, dan studi pustaka. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem dapat mendiagnosis jenis hama dengan baik berdasarkan gejala yang dipilih oleh pengguna dan memberikan solusi yang sesuai. Sistem ini dapat mendiagnosis hama padi tanpa harus menunggu kehadiran penyuluh pertanian. Sistem ini diharapkan dapat menjadi alat bantu bagi petani dalam mengidentifikasi dan mengatasi serangan hama secara tepat.

Abstract

Kemajuan teknologi informasi telah mengubah praktik bisnis, termasuk di sektor perdagangan hasil pertanian. Toko Timpeh Tani di Kecamatan Kamang Baru, Kabupaten Sijunjung masih mencatat transaksi secara manual, sehingga menimbulkan keterlambatan, kesalahan data, dan terbatasnya jangkauan layanan. Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem informasi penjualan berbasis web untuk meningkatkan akurasi data dan memperluas akses pelanggan. Sistem ini menyediakan fitur manajemen produk, transaksi penjualan, data pelanggan, laporan, dan autentikasi pengguna. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan seluruh fungsi berjalan dengan baik. Sistem ini diharapkan mampu meningkatkan efisiensi operasional serta menjadi solusi digital bagi pengembangan UMKM sektor pertanian, khususnya di wilayah pedesaan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa e-book infografis pada materi “Perlawanan Rakyat Indonesia Melawan Kolonialisme dan Imperialisme” untuk siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 3 Pekanbaru. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya minat belajar sejarah akibat media pembelajaran yang kurang menarik. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (RD) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Media dikembangkan menggunakan Adobe Photoshop dan disajikan melalui platform Heyzine. Validasi oleh ahli media dan materi menunjukkan bahwa media sangat layak digunakan. Uji coba pada siswa juga menunjukkan respon positif dengan skor 87% pada uji coba kecil dan 82,86% pada uji coba besar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-book infografis ini efektif dan menarik sebagai media pembelajaran sejarah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran sejarah kelas XI 1 di SMA Negeri 12 Pekanbaru melalui penerapan model pembelajaran picture and picture. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dan instrumen yang digunakan yaitu modul ajar sebagai perangkat pembelajaran dan lembar observasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I sebanyak 26 siswa (60,46%) mencapai ketuntasan, sedangkan 17 siswa belum tuntas sehingga belum memenuhi target. Pada siklus II, jumlah siswa yang tuntas meningkat menjadi 36 siswa (83,72%) mencapai ketuntasan, sedangkan 7 siswa belum tuntas. Pencapaian ini telah melampaui target ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 80%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa model picture and picture efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran sejarah.

Abstract

Sepak rago tinggi, sebuah permainan tradisional khas Indonesia, khususnya masyarakat Kenegerian Kopah, Kuansing, memiliki akar sejarah yang panjang dan menarik. Permainan ini diperkirakan telah ada sejak abad ke-15 dan memiliki berbagai versi cerita asal-usul. Ada yang menghubungkannya dengan permainan di kalangan keluarga kerajaan, sementara yang lain melihatnya sebagai simbol perlawanan terhadap kejahatan. Seiring berjalannya waktu, rago tinggi tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai hiburan, tetapi juga menjadi media untuk mempererat tali silaturahmi dan melestarikan nilai-nilai budaya leluhur.

Abstract

This study discusses the development of animation-based learning videos on the material of the proclamation of independence events to increase students' interest in learning history in class XI IPS at As-Shofa Islamic High School. This study aims to determine how the process of developing animation-based learning videos on the material of the proclamation of independence events for class XI IPS at As-Shofa Islamic High School, then to determine the feasibility of using animation-based learning videos on the material of the proclamation of independence events for class XI IPS at As-Shofa Islamic High School and to determine the increase in students' interest in learning the material of the proclamation of independence events in history learning for class XI IPS at As-Shofa Islamic High School by using animation-based learning videos. This study uses a research and development method or Research and Development (RD) with data collection techniques in the form of observation, documentation, tests, questionnaires. The subjects in this study were 32 students of class XI IPS 1 and 6 students of class XI IPS 2. Based on the results of the assessment carried out by material experts, the overall percentage obtained was 94.5% with the category "Very Eligible", the assessment carried out by media experts obtained a percentage of 94.5% with the category "Very Eligible". Based on the results of the assessment, it can be concluded that the development of animation-based learning videos is "Very Eligible" to be used as a media for learning history, especially for class XI IPS at SMA Islam As-Shofa. As for knowing the increase in students' interest in learning using animation-based learning videos, what can be done is that students are given the opportunity to make decisions, change the learning atmosphere, create a fun class, use interesting learning media.

Abstract

The research titled “Romantic Sadness in the Themes and Genres of Popular Minang Songs: A Producer’s Perspective” uses a semiotic analysis approach. Its aim is to uncover various symbols, metaphors, and hidden meanings that depict feelings of loss, longing, and disappointment, particularly in the context of romantic relationships. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach, considered the most suitable for addressing the raised issues. The study is supported by theories focused on analyzing the production process and texts in popular Minang songs. Data is collected through literature studies on Minangkabau music, as well as direct observations from digital media where these songs were released. The results of the study show that romantic sadness, which frequently appears in popular Minang songs, has a profound impact on the social and cultural life of the community. These songs not only influence the way society perceives love, relationships, and loss, but also play an essential role in strengthening Minangkabau cultural identity and social values. Thus, this research provides new insights into how Minang songs with themes of romantic sadness reflect the beauty and complexity of emotions while preserving the Minangkabau culture.
