Abstract

Training for adults requires different ways and techniques in the application of special techniques that involve learning facilitators. An effective facilitator must have knowledge and competence about the content they teach, as well as skills to control the group. This leads to the need that the facilitator needs personal qualities that not only reflect the professionalism and character of the facilitator but also be able to overcome problems that occur in adult learning. This also happened at the Balai Besar Pemerintahan Desa Kementerian Dalam Negeri (BBPD) in Indonesia, which has the task and responsibility of conducting learning and training for village officials throughout Indonesia. Officials who are generally adult learners and have busy schedules need a reliable facilitator in the learning process. One of the things is to apply heutagogy as an alternative solution to maintain the facilitator's ability in adult learning. The application of heutagogy is expected to make the learning process lead to a sustainable system because they can return to their hometown with the expected application of knowledge. Based on the results of the preliminary analysis from the initial survey include the need for correct self-efficacy and the existence of a well-considered working environment also self-actualization in order to work more optimally in the learning process of adult learning using heutagogy. However, this needs to be proven empirically by quantitative research in more depth in the scope of BBPD so that the research result can state the validity of these three variable factors to the adult learning process carried out by BBPD. This research is explanatory research, which is research that seeks to explain the causal relationship that occurs between research variables and test hypotheses that have been formulated with quantitative research methods. The result shows that self-efficacy has the most significant factor among other aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of school culture in improving teacher performance through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach to twenty relevant scientific articles from the past ten years. The results of the analysis indicate that a positive school culture, characterized by the values of religiosity, integrity, mutual cooperation, and strong transformational leadership, can create a conducive work environment and increase teacher motivation, commitment, and professionalism. Other factors such as effective communication and professional development through regular training have also been shown to contribute to improved teacher performance. However, the results also reveal a significant gap, namely the lack of comprehensive integration between school culture and institutional policies systematically to support sustainable teacher performance improvement. Furthermore, there is little research exploring the challenges of implementing school culture in the context of inclusive schools or areas with limited resources. Therefore, further empirical and contextual studies are needed to formulate operational strategies to strengthen school culture oriented towards improving teacher performance and the overall quality of education.

Abstract

Pemenuhan gizi anak usia dini merupakan fondasi penting bagi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan secara menyeluruh, tetapi hingga kini masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan kompleks di lapangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengelolaan program pemberian makanan bergizi di TK Islam Plus Qurrota A’yun 1 Malang dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi kasus tunggal. Fokus kajian diarahkan pada lima aspek, yaitu perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, pengawasan, dan dampak program, yang dianalisis berdasarkan teori manajemen POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, dan Controlling) serta sistem penyelenggaraan makanan institusional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program dirancang melalui perencanaan strategis yang kolaboratif, pengorganisasian peran yang adaptif, pelaksanaan yang terintegrasi dengan pendidikan karakter Islami, serta pengawasan reflektif berbasis observasi dan evaluasi partisipatif. Program ini berdampak positif terhadap kesehatan fisik, perkembangan kognitif, serta aspek sosial-emosional anak, sekaligus membentuk kebiasaan makan sehat yang terbawa hingga ke lingkungan keluarga. Anak-anak menunjukkan peningkatan kemandirian, sikap positif saat makan, dan antusiasme terhadap menu bergizi. Temuan ini memperkuat relevansi pendekatan manajerial dan sistem layanan gizi berbasis komunitas, serta memodifikasi teori penyelenggaraan makanan institusi menjadi model holistik-integratif yang aplikatif bagi satuan PAUD.

Abstract

Empathy is an important asset in building conducive social relationships and forming a caring and responsible personality in the future. The formation of empathy can be influenced by internal and external factors. This study aims to examine the influence of school climate, self-concept and socio-emotional competence on the formation of empathy in adolescents. The research design used a quantitative approach with participants of adolescent high school students (n = 377) selected by cluster random sampling. Empathy was measured using the Interpersonal Reactivity Indeks-IRI  Scale(α=0,978), school climate was measured with The School Climate Measure Scale-SCM (α=0,936), self-concept was measured with the Personal Self Concept PSC Scale-PSC (α=0,798), and socio-emotional competence was measured using The Delaware Social-Emotional Competence Scale DSEC (α=0,880). The analysis technique used is the Structural Equation Model (SEM) which is processed using AMOS software. The results showed that the proposed research model can be supported by empirical data. This means that a positive school climate and a healthy self-concept together create an environment that supports the development of empathy in adolescents.

Abstract

This study investigates the strategies employed by the principal of Islamic Elementary School Anak Saleh Malang, to improve teacher competence and their subsequent impact on educational outcomes. A case study design and a descriptive qualitative methodology were used, and semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and non-participant observations were used to gather data. The findings indicate that the principal employs a humanistic and familial leadership model, emphasizes individual motivation, mandates regular professional development, conducts systematic performance reviews, and encourages deliberate teaching strategies. These strategies have had a direct influence on improved student achievement as well as greater teacher professionalism. The study emphasizes how crucial leadership techniques based on organized development, motivation, and a reflective culture are to improving academic achievement. It suggests that to achieve long-term educational achievement, principals must foster professional development through efforts in strategic, consistent, and compassionate leadership.

Abstract

The digitalization era brings significant changes in various aspects of life, including the world of pesantren (Islamic boarding schools). Millennial Kiai (Islamic leaders) play a crucial role in guiding pesantren into the digital era. This article aims to discuss digital leadership among millennial Kiai in addressing the challenges of digitalization. The research adopts a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review using the PRISMA method. The literature review process took place from February 2024 to March 2024, utilizing Google Scholar as the primary database. The research findings indicate that digital leadership among millennial Kiai entails possessing long-term vision, creativity, and the ability to lead change and confront the challenges of the digital era, along with strategies and challenges in facing them. The article concludes that digital leadership among millennial Kiai represents an integration of traditional values with digital technology in efforts to realize transformation and progress within religious institutions or communities.

Abstract

Fenomena anak putus sekolah di Kabupaten Merauke merupakan persoalan mendesak yang dipengaruhi oleh faktor geografis, sosial-ekonomi, dan keterbatasan akses transportasi. Banyak siswa tinggal jauh dari pusat kota, harus menempuh perjalanan panjang dan mahal, sehingga meningkatkan risiko berhenti sekolah. Salah satu pendekatan yang dikembangkan pemerintah daerah adalah model sekolah berpola asrama gratis (boarding school) yang menyediakan layanan pendidikan sekaligus tempat tinggal, bimbingan karakter, dan pengasuhan dalam lingkungan terpadu. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran sekolah berpola asrama gratis dalam menekan angka putus sekolah, mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung serta penghambat implementasinya, dan menggali implikasi manajerial bagi kebijakan pendidikan di Merauke. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dihimpun pada empat sekolah berpola asrama SMA Negeri Plus Satap 1 Merauke, SMA Negeri Plus Satap 4 Senayu, SMP Negeri Satap Wasur, dan SMP Negeri Satap 2 Merauke, melalui wawancara mendalam dengan kepala sekolah, pengelola asrama, guru, siswa, dan orang tua; observasi kegiatan belajar serta kehidupan sehari-hari siswa di asrama; dan telaah dokumen berupa data kehadiran, laporan BOS asrama, serta kebijakan Dinas Pendidikan. Analisis data dilakukan secara sistematis menggunakan NVivo 15 untuk memudahkan proses pengkodean, kategorisasi tema, dan visualisasi pola hubungan antar data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sekolah berpola asrama mampu meningkatkan kehadiran siswa, mengurangi hambatan jarak dan biaya transportasi, serta memperkuat motivasi belajar melalui rutinitas terstruktur dan dukungan teman sebaya. Pola asrama gratis juga efektif sebagai wahana pendidikan karakter yang menumbuhkan disiplin, kemandirian, tanggung jawab, dan dukungan psikososial melalui peran guru dan pengelola. Temuan penelitian memperlihatkan tren menurunnya angka putus sekolah di lokasi studi, sehingga pola asrama relevan sebagai strategi intervensi di daerah terbatas akses. Namun demikian, keterbatasan fasilitas, ketidakstabilan pendanaan, dan tantangan adaptasi siswa masih menjadi kendala utama. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa sekolah berpola asrama berpotensi menjadi strategi efektif di wilayah 3T apabila didukung manajemen profesional, kebijakan pemerintah yang konsisten, dan keterlibatan masyarakat berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence of school leadership style and organizational culture on the performance of Generation Z teachers at SD Kalam Kudus Indonesia, utilizing organizational commitment as an intervening variable. In the rapidly changing educational landscape, understanding the specific factors that motivate Generation Z teachers is critical, given their distinct characteristics in learning and workplace interaction. The research employed a quantitative methodology using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS) analyzed via SmartPLS software. Data were gathered through Likert-scale questionnaires distributed to Generation Z teachers using purposive sampling techniques. The findings reveal that organizational culture exerts a highly significant and positive direct influence on teacher performance (p-value 0.000; path coefficient 0.931). Interestingly, the leadership style of the school principal was found to have no statistically significant direct impact on teacher performance (p-value 0.419). Instead, leadership style possesses a notable indirect effect through the mediation of organizational commitment. Additionally, organizational culture significantly enhances teachers' commitment to the school. These results highlight that organizational commitment functions as a vital intervening variable that bridges the gap between the organizational environment and individual performance. The study concludes that to optimize the performance of Generation Z teachers, school leaders must prioritize cultivating a supportive culture that values collaboration, transparency, and innovation. Strategic recommendations include increasing teacher involvement in decision-making and providing robust professional development support to strengthen emotional bonds and professional engagement. This research provides valuable insights for educational administration, particularly in managing the unique dynamics of younger teacher cohorts within primary education in Indonesia. Abstrak: Di tengah dinamika dunia pendidikan yang terus berkembang, kinerja guru menjadi faktor penentu utama dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan budaya organisasi terhadap kinerja guru Generasi Z di SD Kalam Kudus Indonesia, dengan menempatkan komitmen organisasi sebagai variabel intervening. Fenomena ini menjadi sangat krusial untuk diteliti karena karakteristik unik guru Generasi Z dalam berinteraksi dan bekerja menuntut penyesuaian gaya kepemimpinan serta budaya kerja yang lebih adaptif dan inovatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuantitatif melalui Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) berbasis Partial Least Squares (PLS) dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SmartPLS 4. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner skala Likert yang disebarkan kepada guru Generasi Z menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang mencakup wilayah kota metropolitan, kota menengah, hingga kota kecil. Instrumen penelitian dirancang untuk mengukur lima variabel utama, termasuk gaya kepemimpinan, budaya organisasi, dan komitmen organisasi. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa budaya organisasi memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan yang sangat kuat terhadap kinerja guru (path coefficient 0,931; p-value 0,000). Sebaliknya, gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah ditemukan tidak memiliki pengaruh langsung yang signifikan terhadap kinerja guru (p-value 0,419), namun memiliki pengaruh yang kuat dalam membangun komitmen organisasi guru (path coefficient 0,593). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa komitmen organisasi berperan sebagai mediator penting yang memperkuat hubungan antara faktor organisasi dengan efektivitas kerja individu. Simpulan penelitian menekankan bahwa untuk mengoptimalkan kinerja guru Generasi Z, kepala sekolah harus memprioritaskan pengembangan budaya sekolah yang inklusif, kolaboratif, dan transparan. Saran strategis mencakup peningkatan keterlibatan guru dalam pengambilan keputusan serta pemberian dukungan bagi pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan guna memperkuat ikatan emosional guru dengan sekolah. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi ilmiah bagi manajemen pendidikan dalam menghadapi tantangan pengelolaan sumber daya manusia lintas generasi di Indonesia. Abstract

Abstract: The digital transformation has brought fundamental changes to the education system, including Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) as traditional Islamic educational institutions. This study aims to describe the digital leadership skills of millennial kiai in fostering digital literacy within Islamic boarding schools. Using a qualitative approach with a multi-site design, the research was conducted at Mambaul Hikam II Islamic Boarding School in Blitar and Bayt Al-Hikmah Islamic Boarding School in Pasuruan, East Java. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles, Huberman, and Saldana’s interactive model with the aid of NVivo 15 software. The findings reveal that millennial kiai demonstrate digital leadership skills encompassing three main aspects: technical, human relation, and conceptual skills. They successfully integrate traditional religious values with digital innovation through participatory, visionary, adaptive, religious, and transformational leadership styles. Digital literacy development in pesantren emphasizes not only technical competence but also ethics, spirituality, and character formation in digital engagement. These findings indicate that value-based digital leadership preserves the balance between pesantren tradition and technological progress in responding to the challenges of the digital era. Keywords: digital leadership, millennial kiai, digital literacy Abstrak: Transformasi digital telah membawa perubahan mendasar dalam sistem pendidikan, termasuk di pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam tradisional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan kepemimpinan digital kiai milenial dalam pembinaan literasi digital di pondok pesantren. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi multi-situs yang dilakukan di Pondok Pesantren Mambaul Hikam II Blitar dan Pondok Pesantren Bayt Al-Hikmah Pasuruan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana dengan bantuan perangkat lunak NVivo 15. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kiai milenial memiliki keterampilan kepemimpinan digital yang mencakup tiga aspek utama: keterampilan teknis (technical skill), keterampilan hubungan manusia (human relation skill), dan keterampilan konseptual (conceptual skill). Kiai milenial mampu mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai religius pesantren dengan inovasi digital melalui kepemimpinan partisipatif, visioner, adaptif, religius, dan transformasional. Pembinaan literasi digital di pesantren tidak hanya berorientasi pada penguasaan teknologi, tetapi juga pada pembentukan etika, nilai spiritual, dan karakter santri dalam bermedia. Temuan ini memperkuat bahwa kepemimpinan digital berbasis nilai mampu menjaga keseimbangan antara tradisi pesantren dan kemajuan teknologi dalam menghadapi tantangan era digital.
