Abstract

The role of MSMEs as a business enterprise service must certainly have a strategy to improve employee performance, one of which is appreciation for their performance and achievements in increasing revenue or profit for the organization. This research is a systematic literature study (SLR) that aims to analyze trends in scientific publications related to the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from various aspects, including the type of document, scientific field, and country of origin of the author. The analysis shows that the majority of documents are scientific articles (83.3%), with the dominant fields including Business, Management and Accounting and Social Sciences (25% each). The largest source of publications came from the United Kingdom and Malaysia. This finding shows that there is considerable scientific attention to MSME development, especially from countries with strong entrepreneurial systems. In the Indonesian context, the results of this study provide an important illustration of the need for cross-disciplinary knowledge integration and the adoption of research-based policies from other countries to strengthen the competitiveness of national MSMEs. The study also recommends increased international collaboration and research focus on aspects of digitalization, innovation and sustainability in the development of MSMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract

One of the educational games (APE) that supports learning activities to recognize the concept of numbers for early childhood is the Montessori concept game. Known as an educational game tool because this Montessori-created game is a medium that can make it easier for children to count. The results of initial observations of the lack of teacher socialization at Marie Joseph Kindergarten related to the use of Montessori math game tools. This study aims to describe the use and benefits of learning media of montessori in recognizing number symbols in children aged 4-5 years. This research method uses a qualitative approach. Analysis techniques with data reduction, data display and data verification. Based on data from observations, interviews and data triangulation, there is an increase in the ability to recognize number symbols in children aged 4-5 years, through providing actions through the Montessori method. This can be seen from the increase in each indicator, namely being able to count sequentially from numbers 1-10, recognizing number symbols 1-10, being able to write number symbols 1-10. The Montessori method can improve the ability to recognize number symbols to children in a concrete way first, then abstractly. The introduction of number symbols through the Montessori method can enhance children's cognitive development in recognizing number symbols in children aged 4-5 years. Therefore, this study concludes that the Montessori method can improve the number symbol recognition skills of children aged 4-5 years at Marie Joseph Kindergarten.

Abstract

This research discusses “A Holistic Model for Character Education in Schools.” Character education is considered an important solution to a variety of ongoing moral vulnerability phenomena. It is expected that through education the cognitive, affective, psychomotor, and spiritual aspects in learners can be harmonized. To this end, a holistic model for character education can be applied to learners. This study was carried out using a qualitative approach through library research. The data were collected by documentation technique and later analyzed by descriptive analysis. The research results indicated that character education is a process of positive values internalization in learners for them to possess good character, which comprises cognitive, feeling, and action aspects. Therefore, it is deemed necessary to introduce and internalize life values that are useful for learners to become whole human beings, that is, as individual-social, physical-spiritual, or autonomous-God’s human beings. The holistic character education model can be implemented in schools in an integrated manner across all school subjects. Otherwise put, it can be implemented through the learning process at school on a day-to-day basis.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of the critical analysis regarding some strategies that can be adopted in building character education values in Islamic education, especially in the time of distance learning. These strategies are deemed to be crucial parameters in the learning process so that the learning process will not merely on cognitive achievement. Grounded in library research, study findings promote four strategies to be employed in building character education values in Islamic education in the age of distance learning. First, teacher-parent communication was optimized via online media, e.g. social media, digital mutaba’ah books (communication book: a teacher-parent daily communication book) based on Google form applications, or offline media, e.g. printed Mutaba’ah books. Second, the character education value-based learning module was designed to highlight several materials related to character education in the form of motivational videos, inspirational stories, and so forth. Third, various innovative learning methods, including problem-solving, positive habituation, and reflection methods were undertaken to emphasize the affective and psychomotor indicators. Forth, a comprehensive learning evaluation was developed to leverage not only cognitive skills but also the affective and psychomotor domains.

Abstract

This article investigates how compensation to hospitality industries has been conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using documentary study, the writers made use of Google scholar and the Garuda portal database to collect data. Some primary keywords were employed to search relevant published articles such as compensation in a hotel during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study finds that hotel owners modified policies by giving only 50% of their salary. Meanwhile, the government covers another 50% of financial support to help the employees. Applying for compensation with support, promotion, and money will motivate employees to work. For the consumers, hotels lowered the price of the rooms. In addition, hotels also paid very careful attention to sanity issues and hotel service quality. It turns out that these adapted compensation policies have resulted in positive impacts on employees and consumers.

Abstract

Work motivation is defined as a state of individual personality that fosters a desire to carry out certain activities in order to achieve the expected goals. For this reason, this research (SLR) was conducted to analyze the findings from data in the form of scientific journals regarding work motivation. SLR in this study was carried out using the prism method with the help of bibliometric tools as an analytical tool. Data collection is done by determining the database or data source: ScienceDirect, Taylor and Francis, Elsevier, Emeral, and SAGE. As such, 45 articles were analyzed in this systematic review process. This finding shows that the co-authorship collaboration of each author has a relationship with each other in conducting research related to work motivation. Co-occurrence (network visualization) was found in the displays described in the network visualization. These results indicate that there are many variations in the relationship between work motivation and other problems that can be explored and developed further in the context of work motivation. Co-occurrence (overlay visualization) results show that the bluer the keyword cluster, the longer the research time has been carried out, while the yellower the keyword cluster, the more recent the research.
