Abstract

This community service activity was conducted in response to the low level of students' ability at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities to write research proposals in accordance with academic standards. The main problems encountered include difficulties in formulating research problems, developing a systematic research background, selecting appropriate research titles, and understanding the format and structure of research proposals. The objective of this activity was to improve students' understanding and skills in writing well-structured, logical, and academically sound research proposals. The method employed was an interactive workshop that combined theoretical explanations and hands-on practice, including training in problem formulation using the 5W+1H approach, background writing grounded in theory and data, strategies for selecting relevant research titles, and a comprehensive understanding of the research proposal structure. The results indicate a significant improvement in participants' understanding and ability to develop the main components of a research proposal, as demonstrated by the preparation of individual proposal drafts. Furthermore, the high level of participants' enthusiasm and engagement throughout the activity suggests that the training method was effective and aligned with students' needs.

Abstract

This article examines the dialectical relationship between Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning and the formation of students’ personality from the perspective of Tarbiyah Islamiyah. The scope of the study focuses on the dynamic interaction between learning objectives, pedagogical strategies, the internalization of Islamic values, and the development of students’ Islamic personality. The study aims to analyze how PAI learning functions as an interactive educational process that goes beyond the transmission of religious knowledge to shape students’ attitudes, behaviors, and character in a sustainable manner. This study employs a qualitative literature-based approach. Data analysis is conducted using thematic analysis by reviewing, categorizing, and synthesizing key findings from relevant literature to identify patterns, concepts, and perspectives related to Islamic Religious Education, students’ personality development, and Tarbiyah Islamiyah. Literature sources are selected based on several criteria, including peer-reviewed scholarly articles published within the last five years, relevance to the research focus, and a predominance of journal articles (at least 80%), including national and international journals as well as articles from the Al-Hikmah Journal of Education. The findings indicate that PAI learning within the Tarbiyah Islamiyah framework demonstrates a dialectical nature that positions students as active subjects of education through the integration of faith (iman), knowledge (ilm), and practice (amal). Learning processes grounded in role modeling, habituation, and contextualization of values play a significant role in fostering students’ moral character, responsibility, and religious awareness. This study contributes theoretically to the discourse on Islamic education by reinforcing the strategic role of PAI in developing students’ holistic personality within the Islamic educational paradigm.

Abstract

The mining industry demands mechanical performance that is reliable, fast, and complies with safety standards. In this context, technical training and work motivation are crucial factors in shaping the quality of human resources. PT Pamapersada Nusantara, through the Mechanic Competency Booster (MCB) Program, aims to accelerate the competence development of contract-based mechanics (PKWT) through hands-on practice and staged coaching. In addition, work motivation is also believed to play a vital role in encouraging enthusiasm, responsibility, and initiative among mechanics in the field. Previous studies have highlighted the role of practical training and intrinsic motivation in improving technical performance, but few have tested their simultaneous effects by considering competence as a mediating variable. Therefore, this study attempts to fill that gap by examining the relationships among the MCB program, motivation, competence, and mechanic performance in a structured and quantitative manner. The study also reinforces its statistical findings with empirical field data through observations and interviews to ensure alignment between theoretical data and operational realities in the mining work environment. This study employs a quantitative approach using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 83 contract mechanics at the ARIA District, PT Pamapersada Nusantara. The research instrument consists of four latent variables: the MCB program, motivation, competence, and performance. The results show that both the MCB program and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on competence and mechanic performance. Motivation emerges as the most dominant factor in shaping competence, while the MCB program enhances technical readiness and independent work. Competence has a direct impact on improving task achievement and technical work efficiency. Furthermore, competence is also proven to significantly mediate the relationship between both the MCB program and motivation on performance, although the strength of this indirect effect is smaller than the direct path. These findings are supported by qualitative data from group leaders and instructors, who confirmed that field performance improves when mechanics are motivated and entrusted with independent responsibilities.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the dissemination of pornographic content motivated by revenge (revenge porn) has become increasingly prevalent with the development of digital technology and social media in Indonesia. This pornography crime not only violates privacy but also constitutes a form of gender based violence that has serious impacts on the psychological, social, and economic well being of female victims. Although several regulations, such as the Electronic Information & Transactions Law (UU ITE) and the Pornography Law have been used to address this issue, the latter is not spesifically designed to regulate the dissemination of non consensual intimate content. This legal vacuum creates legal threats, difficulties in proving the truth, and a high risk of re-victimization for victims. This study analyze the handling of the crime of distributin grevenge pornography on social media and the legal protection for female victims of the distribution of revenge pornography on social media. The theories used in this study are legal protection theory and victimology theory. The method of research used is normative juridical legal research with a statutory, contextual, and case-based approach. Data were obtained through a literature review covering primary legal materials, secondary legal materials, and tertiary legal materials. Analyzed using grammatical, systematic, teleological, and official interpretation techniques. The results of this study empasizes the improtance of establishing specific regulations governing revenge porn, including the definiton of revenge porn, the element of non-consensual behavior, protection of victim identity, mechanisms for removing digital content, and the obligations of digital platforms to prevent the dissemination of content. A victim-centered approach is needed to promote comprehensive recovery and prevent discrimintion and negative stigma. Therefore, clearer, more assertive, and responsive legal reform is necessary to provide maximum protection for female victims of revenge pornography in Indonesia.

Abstract

The increasing incidence of fraud crimes employing illegal investment schemes has developed alongside changes in social, economic, and technological structures in modern society. These crimes demonstrate patterns of abuse of trust and manipulation of social relations carried out systematically and repeatedly. This research focuses on examining fraud crimes involving illegal investment schemes from a criminological perspective and on analyzing law enforcement responses to such offenses.  The analysis is conducted using criminological theories and theories of law enforcement. This research employs normative legal research aimed at obtaining relevant data related to the research problems. The data used consist of secondary data in the form of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials, supported by primary data as a complement to the secondary legal materials. Data analysis is conducted using qualitative juridical analysis.  The findings indicate that illegal investment fraud constitutes a form of modern economic crime carried out in a planned manner through the abuse of trust and manipulation of social relations. Law enforcement in this context remains predominantly legalistic and formalistic and has not fully positioned law as an instrument to serve human interests and protect victims of crime. This study suggests that law enforcement authorities should view illegal investment fraud as a systemic and organized economic crime, thereby necessitating stronger criminological analysis to dismantle criminal networks. Furthermore, law enforcement efforts should be directed not only toward the punishment of perpetrators but also toward the protection of victims and the recovery of their losses through strengthened regulation of digital investment activities and the adoption of more progressive, preventive, and adaptive approaches.

Abstract

Legal protection for trademarks in Indonesia still faces problems with trademark registration in bad faith that have substantial similarity with other parties' marks. The fundamental problem lies in the absence of clear objective parameters for determining the criteria of substantial similarity and bad faith, creating legal uncertainty in trademark cancellation efforts. This research examines two issues: first, what are the criteria for proving substantial similarity and bad faith in trademark cancellation cases; second, what is the ideal regulatory concept for proving these elements to strengthen legal certainty. The research employs theories of evidence, legal protection, and legal certainty and justice to analyze Supreme Court Decision Number 123 K/Pdt.Sus-HKI/2023 regarding the cancellation of "Cap Segi Tiga Intan + Logo" trademark. This research uses normative legal methods with statutory, conceptual, and case approaches. Secondary data consists of primary legal materials such as legislation and court decisions, secondary legal materials including books and scientific journals, and tertiary legal materials. Data collection through library research and analyzed qualitatively using systematic interpretation. The findings indicate that criteria for proving substantial similarity are conducted through three approaches: analysis of dominant elements, examination of overall mark impression, and evaluation of consumer confusion likelihood. Proving bad faith requires concrete evidence of unauthorized use of another party's product identity, chronological relationship of mark usage, and deliberate similarity. Normative gaps exist in the absence of objective parameters for examining these elements. The ideal regulatory concept includes six pillars: revision of Article 21 Elucidation of Trademark Law, issuance of Ministerial Regulation on substantive examination methods, issuance of Supreme Court Regulation on trademark dispute guidelines, enhancement of DGIP preventive function through technology and notification systems, establishment of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and harmonization with international standards. The research recommends that lawmakers revise evidentiary provisions, the Supreme Court issue examination guidelines, and DGIP improve substantive examination accuracy.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has brought significant advancements but has also increased the risk of cybercrime, one of which is phishing. Phishing is a form of cybercrime aimed at stealing personal data by deceiving victims into providing sensitive information, such as passwords, credit card numbers, or other identity data. This crime poses a serious threat to information security and individual privacy, especially in digital transactions. This study aims to analyze phishing modus operandi, evaluate legal regulations governing personal data protection, and assess the effectiveness of legal protection for phishing victims in Indonesia. The research method used is normative juridical with a statutory approach. This study finds that phishing is a serious threat to individual and organizational security in Indonesia, with modus operandi involving fake messages, impersonation of trusted institutions, and counterfeit websites to steal personal information. Cyber law regulations, including the Criminal Code (KUHP), the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE), and the Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP), have established provisions for personal data protection and sanctions for phishing perpetrators. However, implementation faces challenges. Weak law enforcement, lack of investigative expertise, low digital literacy among the public, and limited infrastructure and human resources are the main obstacles in addressing this crime. Additionally, rapid technological advancements create new security vulnerabilities that existing regulations have not fully anticipated
