Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif matematis dalam pemecahan masalah materi barisan dan deret aritmatika pada siswa introvert di kelas XI SMA Xaverius 1 Kota Jambi. Masalah ini muncul karena perbedaan keterampilan berpikir dan proses berpikir siswa berdasarkan tipe kepribadian, yang awalnya ditemukan bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif matematis rendah pada siswa dengan kepribadian introvert. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan mengumpulkan data angket kepribadian, soal tes, dan wawancara. Subjek penelitian dipilih dari siswa introvert berdasarkan hasil angket kepribadian dan lembar jawaban, dengan tiga siswa yang mewakili keempat kelompok jawaban yang ada. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa introvert memiliki kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis dalam memahami masalah, merencanakan, dan melaksanakan rencana. Namun, mereka cenderung kurang memeriksa kembali solusi mereka. Kemampuan berpikir kreatif matematis pada siswa introvert terutama mencakup fluency dan flexibility dalam memahami masalah, merencanakan, dan melaksanakan rencana, tetapi kurang dalam hal originality dan elaboration dalam pemecahan masalah. This research aims to analyze critical and creative mathematical thinking skills in solving problems regarding sequences and arithmetic series in introverted students in class XI SMA Xaverius 1 Jambi City. This problem arises because of differences in students' thinking skills and thought processes based on personality type, which was initially found that critical and creative mathematical thinking abilities were low in students with introverted personalities. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach by collecting personality questionnaire data, test questions and interviews. The research subjects were selected from introverted students based on the results of a personality questionnaire and answer sheet, with three students representing the four answer groups. The research results show that introverted students have mathematical critical thinking skills in understanding problems, planning and implementing plans. However, they tend to check their solutions less. Mathematical creative thinking abilities in introverted students mainly include fluency and flexibility in understanding problems, planning and implementing plans, but lacking in terms of originality and elaboration in problem solving.

Abstract

This study explores the relationship between self-efficacy, students' interest, and physics learning outcomes for students in classes XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 2 at SMA Negeri 16 Bungo. The learning outcomes are focused on the dimensions of conceptual and factual knowledge. Data on students' self-efficacy and interest were collected through a structured scale questionnaire, while data on students' learning outcomes in conceptual and factual knowledge were obtained through test instruments. The results indicate a positive correlation between students' self-efficacy, interest in learning, and physics learning outcomes. The correlation coefficient (r value) obtained is greater than the critical r value, with significance less than 0.05. Regression analysis reveals that the calculated F value is greater than the critical F value, and the calculated t value is greater than the critical t value, both with significance less than 0.05. Regression analysis also shows that self-efficacy and students' interest in learning affect physics learning outcomes by 68%, leaving 32% influenced by other factors not investigated in this study. For teachers, this research provides practical insights into the importance of developing students' self-efficacy and interest in the context of physics learning. By considering these aspects, teachers can design more effective teaching strategies to support students' optimal development in physics learning. In the theoretical framework, these findings support the concept that internal factors such as self-efficacy and interest play a crucial role in achieving good learning outcomes.

Abstract

Soil fertility parameters, including macronutrients, micronutrients, and metal content, are very important for optimizing agricultural and plantation land management. Ultisol is a type of soil that is commonly used as a planting medium for oil palm plantations, rubber, and various types of vegetables. Continuous land use causes variations in nutrient and metal content. This change is also caused by the fertilization process and the characteristics of the plants grown in the area. In this study, an analysis of soil fertility parameters (macronutrients, micronutrients, and metal content) was analyzed using X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) on Ultisol soil taken from Muara Jambi Regency, Indonesia. This analysis was conducted across land-use areas (Palm, Rubber, Vegetables, and Forest). Subsequently, the obtained measurements were used to model correlations with soil pH values to predict soil fertility parameters. The quantitative results showed that the metal content values were reasonably consistent across all locations regarding metal types and their percentage concentrations. However, locations 1 (T1) and 2 (T2) have higher aluminum (Al) content than locations 3 and 4 and lower magnesium (Mg) content. The modeling, when correlated with pH values, indicated that metal elements correlated 0.938, macronutrients 0.934, and micronutrients 0.767. From these correlations, it can be qualitatively inferred that there is a strong relationship between pH and the presence of metal content, macronutrients, and micronutrients. In the future, this can serve as a model for estimating the presence of soil fertility parameters.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan karakter rasa ingin tahu terhadap minat belajar fisika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah mix method . Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket, wawancara dan observasi. Total keseluruhan siswa dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 60 siswa. Dimana 30 siswa berasal dari kelas X MIPA 3 dan sisanya berasal dari kelas X MIPA 4. Dari hasil analisis yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan karakter rasa ingin tahu siswa di kelas X MIPA 3 dan X MIPA 4 tergolong baik. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu, terdapat hubungan antara karakter rasa ingin tahu yang dimiliki oleh siswa dengan minat belajar fisika. Hubungan ini dapat dilihat pada uji korelasi dimana nilai pada pearson correlation adalah 0,006 < 0,05, sehingga Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak dinyatakan terdapat hubungan atau korelasi antara karakter rasa ingin tahu dengan minat belajar fisika siswa.

Abstract

Model Discovery Learning merupakan model pembelajaran yang dapat menekankan proses pembelajaran yang berpusat pada peserta didik dan pengalaman belajar secara aktif. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran discovery learning terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada mata pelajaran fisika di SMAN 10 Kota Jambi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuntittatif dengan jenis kooperatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu model pembelajaran yang baik dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains siswa dalam pembelajaran terutama pembelajaran fisika. Berdasarkan hasil uji didapatkan bahwa model pembelajaran discovery learning berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada mata pelajaran fisika di SMAN 10 Kota Jambi.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan instrument penilain untuk mengukur pemahaman peserta didik kelas XI MIPA SMA pada materi sistem pernapasan dengan menggunakan model keterpaduan tipe Nested (tersarang). Instrumen yang dibuat terdiri dari instrument yang dapat mengukur hasil belajar dengan penggunaan model keterpaduan tipe Nested yang mengukur 3 ranah pengetahuan yaitu pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap yang dilengkapi dengan rubrik penilaian. keterpaduan Model pengembangan instrumen penilaian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada metode pengembangan ADDIE dengan pendekatan menurut Branch. Metode ini dilakukan dalam 5 tahapan yaitu (1) analisys, (2) design, (3) development (4) implementation (5) evalution. Hasil validasi dan uji coba terbatas mengunakan instrument yang dikembangkan menunjukkan bahwa instrumen penilaian pada materi sistem pernapasan dengan menggunakan model keterpaduan Nested (tersarang) layak untuk digunakan. Instrumen penilaian yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan untuk menilai proses pembelajaran dan membantu guru dalam mengembangkan kompetensi pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta didik dalam melakukan pembelajaran berbasis model keterpaduan Nested (tersarang).

Abstract

Fisika merapakan salah satu mata pelajaran wajib untuk dipelajari di tingkat sekolah menengah atas khususnya pada siswa yang mengambil kelas peminatan ilmu pengetahuan alam (IPA). Namun, pelajaran fisika menduduki peringkat terendah kedua pada ujian nasional terakhir. Hal ini dapat menurunkan tingkat efiskasi diri pada siswa, sehingga mempengaruhi proses dan hasil belajar mereka. Dilihat dari hal tersebut, dibutuhkannya sebuah peningkatan dalam dukungan baik dari guru, orang tua, dan lingkungan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat efikasi diri siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah mixed method dengan menggunakan metode wawancara, observasi, dan penyebaran angket. Populasi yang digunakan adalah guru dan siswa dengan sampel sebanyak 60 siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efikasi diri peserta didik sangat dipengaruhi oleh persepsi yang mereka miliki. Maka dari itu, sangat penting bagi tenaga pendidik untuk membangun persepsi yang  dimiliki oleh peserta didik. Ada banyak cara bagi tenaga pendidik untuk membantu peserta didik meningkatkan efikasi diri yang mereka miliki, seperti pemberian motivasi, penggunaan model atau strategi belajar yang menarik, ataupun pemberian kesempatan kedua bagi peserta didik dan tidak menghakimi atas apapun jawaban yang mereka berikan. Dengan demikian peserta didik akan merasa lebih percaya diri saat mengemukakan pendapat yang berdampak kepada meningkatnya tingkat efikasi diri peserta didik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether elementary school teachers know the traditional game "Engklek" can be integrated into learning. Because, by following the 2013 curriculum implemented by the government must integrate the values that are around into learning. The research method used is a mixed method with a sequential explanatory model, in which the number of samples in this study were 34 respondents who came from elementary school teachers in Batanghari through observation sheets and interviews conducted with respondents. The results in this study the teacher has a good category of teacher knowledge of traditional games, will remain, the teachers do not know that traditional games can be integrated into learning, even though by applying them into learning in addition to educating students, it can also help preserve their culture.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine and characterize students’ use of deductive reasoning when addressing mathematical problems using linear programming that is based on the Adversity Quotient. This kind of study is qualitative and descriptive. Purposive sampling was the method of sampling employed in this study. There were three different sorts of pupils in class XI IPA I SMA Negeri 5 Batanghari: Quitter, Camper, and Climber types. There were 19 total participants in the study. Each category was represented by one subject, resulting in three students who were chosen as research subjects. Questionnaires, interviews, and tests of problem-solving were the research instruments employed in this study. The processes of (1) Reducing the data, (2) Presenting the data, and (3) Concluding were used to evaluate the collected data. The research’s findings demonstrate that Quitter-type kids are capable of performing calculations based on rules or formulas to comprehend difficulties. Still, they are unable to meet the problem-solving markers when it comes to formulating logical conclusions and gathering direct evidence. Students who are camper type can compute using rules or formulas to comprehend problems, plan, and carry out plans, but they are unable to double-check. Students cannot meet the issue-solving markers when they are gathering direct facts and generating logical conclusions. Students who are climber types can satisfy deductive reasoning requirements by comprehending problems, making plans, carrying them out, and double-checking.

Abstract

In 2020, higher education must implement online learning because of pandemic COVID 19. Learning with the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics(STEM) approach is rarely done in online learning.The first step in implementing the STEM approach on campus in online learning is to develop contextual learning media based on the STEM approach.This study analyzes students' needs for contextual learning media based on the STEM approach in Basic Physics courses in online learning. This research method is a descriptive study with research subjects are 141 second and third-year students of the Physics Education Program ofUniversitas Jambi and the State Islamic University of SulthanThahaSaefudin Jambi.The subject has completed basic physics courses. Data collection was carried out from preliminary observations and the use of a student needs analysis questionnaire.The results showed that students found it difficult to understand several topics in basic physics subjects.It is caused by a lack of instructional media, a lack of descriptions, a less detailed description of formulas, inadequate use of the STEM approach, and a lack of higher-order thinking skills for student practice.From the questionnaire results, it was also found that students needed learning media with a contextual-based STEM approach to help them understand the topics of Basic Physics courses in online learning.
