Abstract

The current development of telecommunications is driven by consumer needs for more effective communication. From the middle class to the upper class, they want to have fast communication without being disturbed by the communication process. With this development, the telecommunications industry is increasingly competing to provide the best for market satisfaction, so that more and more mobile phone products are turning into smart phone products with different features and qualities. Such market competition conditions require a telecommunications company to create a more effective and efficient strategy to attract consumers. There are many considerations that consumers think about before purchasing goods/services. Some of them are considering the product to be purchased, by adjusting the desires, needs and benefits that will be obtained after purchasing the product, as well as the price that will be spent to get the product by adjusting purchasing ability. The problem in this research is whether there is an influence of brand, product quality and price variables on the decision to purchase the Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone at Tunjungan Plaza, Surabaya City? The data used in this research is primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires to Samsung customers at Tunjungan Plaza Surabaya. In partial testing, the brand image variable (X1) has a significant influence on purchasing decisions (Y) with a calculated t of 3.646 which is greater than the t table of 1.98609, with a significance level smaller than 0.05. The product quality variable (X2) has a significant influence on purchasing decisions (Y) with a calculated t of 2.829 which is greater than the t table of 1.98609, with a significance level smaller than 0.05. and the price variable (X3) has a significant influence on purchasing decisions (Y) with a calculated t of 2.239 which is greater than a t table of 9.707 which is greater than a t table of 1.98609, with a significance level smaller than 0.05.

Abstract

In financing regional development, tax is an alternative source of financing needed by the government, including land and building tax. Land and Building Tax is the only property tax in Indonesia and has increased from year to year. Apart from that, Land and Building Tax has the largest number of taxpayers compared to other taxes. Even though Land and Building Tax has a broad impact, the proceeds from Land and Building Tax are returned to the regions concerned for the implementation and improvement of development in their respective regions. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of the level of awareness of tax payments and understanding of tax regulations for individual taxpayers, both partially and simultaneously, on land and building tax revenues in the work area of ​​the Rungkut Kidul Subdistrict Office. The population is all effective taxpayers registered in the working area of ​​the Rungkut Kidul Subdistrict Office. The sample used was 95 individual taxpayers for land and building tax. The sampling technique used purposive sampling, namely random sampling of 95 respondents. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression.

Abstract

This research was motivated by a decline in performance at Nafisa Production in Surabaya. Because Human Resources are central figures in organizations and companies. In order for management activities to run well, the company must have employees who are knowledgeable and highly skilled and strive to manage the company as optimally as possible so that employee performance increases. The more employees have high performance, the company's overall productivity will increase so that the company will be able to survive in global competition. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of motivation and work environment on employee performance.Using the questionnaire method by distributing questionnaires to 35 Nafisa Production employee respondents in Surabaya. Based on data analysis and simultaneous hypothesis testing in this research, it can be seen that motivation (X1) and work environment (X2) simultaneously influence employee performance (Y), this can be proven by the calculated F value (23.380) > F table (2.034 ). Meanwhile, the R multiple value of 0.771 shows that the closeness of the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable is 77.10%. Meanwhile, the coefficient of multiple determination is 0.594, which means that all independent variables can explain employee performance (Y) by 59.40%. Partially, motivation influences the performance of Nafisa Production employees, this can be seen from the calculated t value, which is greater than motivation (X1) of 2.918 compared to the work environment variable which is only 2.918. Thus it is concluded that motivation and work environment have a significant influence on the performance of NAFISA Production Surabaya employees.

Abstract

The research carried out by this researcher was a qualitative descriptive study by obtaining data through documentation, literature study, observation and interviews. This research aims to compare whether determining the cost of production using the Activity-Based Costing method is more appropriate than using the traditional method at PT. Sakura Makmur Wijaya. Researchers took samples of products produced by the company, namely gondola shelves, bookshelves and warehouse shelves in 2016. Calculating the cost of production using traditional methods which are currently still carried out by the company, the results for gondola shelves were IDR. 10,329,489,695.58, bookshelf Rp. 3,448,701,959.66, and warehouse shelves amounting to Rp. 1,290,430,635.75. Meanwhile, using the Activity Based Costing method, the results obtained for Gondola Shelves were IDR 10,322,044,996.50, for Bookshelves IDR 3,444,432,305.13, and for Warehouse Shelves IDR. 1,302,144,989.37. The results of the research show that calculating the cost of goods manufactured using the Activity Based Costing System when compared with the traditional system calculation gives lower results for Gondola Shelf and Bookcase products, except for Warehouse Shelves. Differences occur due to overhead rates being charged for each product. In the traditional system, the costs for each product are only charged to one cost driver, namely the product units produced. Meanwhile, in the Activity-Based Costing System method, factory overhead costs for each product are charged to many cost drivers, so that the Activity Based Costing System is able to track the costs incurred by product types precisely based on the consumption of each activity required and can be used as an alternative by company in allocating its costs.

Abstract

Luwak Coffee is one of excellent coffee products. Luwak Coffee was first discovered in Indonesia. At the beginning of the discovery of civet coffee, mongoose manure (Paradoxorus hermaphroditus) was obtained from the coffee garden directly. Along with the development of the age and the increasing demand of civet coffee, civet droppings are no longer obtained from wild mongoose in the garden but derived from civet droppings that eat coffee beans in the cage that has been provided  civet coffee producers. PT Rolas Nusantara Mandiri is one of the companies that sell arabica civet coffee with the brand “ROLLAAS”. PT Rolas Nusantara Mandiri markets its products by applying 4P marketing mix. Pricing adjusted market prices and production costs, which is to build a networkof sales of mongoose coffee in the country, provide discount for promotion. The implementation of 4P so far has not fulfilled the company’s expectation that the target every month during 2016-2017 is still not reached. With that is necessary research conducted to  determine the extent to which 4P applied company can affect the sales volume and effectiveness of marketing strategies undertaken. The results of this study indicate that influential variables are variable price, and promotion. There are several determinants of the possitive effect of price on sales volume. The possitive value of the price coefficient is due to a one-time price change and has not had a major effect on sales. Coefficient possitive values can be interpreted that there needs to be additional promotional costs if the company wants to fulfill the target. The effectiveness of marketing strategy that has been applied can be seen from the value of target fulfillment percentage. The percentage of target fulfillment is obtained from the comparison of realization with the  specified target. There are still many sales targets that can not be fulfilled in 2016-2017. While the effectiveness in the mid-year months tend to have low effectiveness value. The uneveness of achievement of target every month must be solved immediately, so that the company can get income as expected or target. If the target is not met it will affect the company’s revenue

Abstract

This study is useful to determine the effect of prices and promotions given to consumer buying interest at PT. Sentosa Sakti Makmur Surabaya. The population in this study amounted to 50 respondents, while the sampling technique used the census method because the population and sample were the same, and the data collection technique used was a questionnaire, while the data analysis technique used the explanatory research method using statistical analysis with regression, correlation, and determination testing. and hypothesis testing. The results of this study that price has a significant effect on consumer buying interest, hypothesis testing is obtained t count > t table or (2.790> 2.012). Promotion has a significant effect on consumer buying interest, hypothesis testing is obtained t count > t table or (4,571>2,012). Price and promotion simultaneously have a significant effect on consumer buying interest with the regression equation Y= 0.471+0.315X1+0.430X2+0.28e, hypothesis testing is obtained F count > F table (60.301> 3.195).

Abstract

A very important role for a trading or service company is marketing. An attractive marketing strategy is to be able to maintain advantages, improve the quality of products and services as well as prices that are appropriate in the eyes of customers. In order to maintain the business cycle, service companies must pay attention to the quality of service and the atmosphere of the restaurant so that customers feel comfortable. The type of research used is descriptive research. This research was conducted on 100 respondents of Sushi Tei Ciputra World Surabaya customers. The sampling technique used in this study is the incidental technique. The data analysis techniques used are (1) validity and reliability test of the questionnaire items, (2) multiple linear regression test. Then the regression model is tested for the hypothesis that is simultaneously (F test), partially (t test) and the dominant variable. This study aims to explain the causal relationship between service quality factors, restaurant atmosphere factors and price factors on customer satisfaction through hypothesis testing. Based on hypothesis testing, it was obtained that simultaneously the service quality factor, restaurant atmosphere factor and price factor had an influence on customer satisfaction of 14.394. And when viewed from the Adjusted R Square that is equal to 28.9%, while based on the t test (partially) the component of the service quality variable that dominantly affects customer satisfaction is 0.450.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of service quality on customer satisfaction at McDonald Darmo Surabaya. This type of research is quantitative with information described in the form of numbers as a tool to obtain information regarding what is known. The population used is McDonald Darmo Surabaya consumers with a sample of 100 people determined through the use of purpsove sampling. The results obtained show that service quality significantly affects customer satisfaction at McDonald Darmo Surabaya, through the t test obtained a sig value of 0.000 (<0.05) which indicates the hypothesis for service quality at McDonald Darmo Surabaya has a significant effect on customer satisfaction at McDonald Darmo Surabaya is accepted. Then through the coefficient of determination test, a value of 0.720 or 72.0% is obtained which reflects the dimensions of service quality in influencing consumer satisfaction, namely 28%, while the rest is influenced by external variables.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the quality of service at the Faculty of Economics, University 45 Surabaya. The population used as subjects in this research was 300 students from the Faculty of Economics, University 45 Surabaya. Determining the sample in this study used probability sampling with proportional sample strata. The results of the analysis using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method show that the services that occur are not running effectively. In the results of the science map graph, there are variables that the faculty should pay special attention to, namely the physical evidence variable. This variable is considered important and is highly expected by students, but the performance shown is low. The variable whose performance must be maintained is the guarantee variable. The variables of responsiveness, reliability and empathy are variables with a low level of hope/importance but the existing performance has been running very well. The author's suggestion is that the faculty continue to maintain the performance of the assurance variable, concentrate more on improving the performance of the physical evidence variable and the responsiveness, reliability and empathy variables which are already running well.

Abstract

Competition is so tight now that companies must be able to play reliable marketing strategies and be able to attract consumer interest so they can win the market. Products that have good quality with good differentiation will be products that are most likely to have loyal consumers. By understanding how consumer behavior will contribute to companies formulating marketing strategies which will later be implemented in introducing and promoting their products to the market. This means that when a product is to be produced, it is known long beforehand what the consumer's needs and desires are. After the company has formulated a strategy that will be implemented in an effort to gain consumers' attention, building good communication with consumers is a step that must be taken by the company to consumers and must be done on an ongoing basis. With this effort, it will be known how consumers respond to the product.
