Abstract

The number of People Living With HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) is steadily increasing. HIV/AIDS is caused by a virus that infects the body and weakens the immune system, making it difficult to fight germs, viruses, fungi, and other pathogens. HIV and AIDS are still considered taboo diseases that should not be openly discussed. People living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) are discouraged from seeking treatment due to stigma and discrimination. Eliminating stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS will improve the process of preventing and overcoming HIV/AIDS cases. In addition, therapeutic communication also affects interpersonal relationships. This research aims to figure out how the therapeutic communication efforts of People living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) become survivors. The method used in this research is phenomenology, where the informants in this study are people with HIV/AIDS who live in Surabaya. This study concludes that therapeutic communication efforts to People living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) are by presenting volunteers who help people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) based on the same fate as People living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). The presence of volunteers (PLWHA) assists and bridges the gap between patients and therapy, fostering a sense of comfort for PLWHA. They also make other patients feel more at ease while they are receiving treatment in the hospital.

Abstract

Cancer disease is a devastating disease that could change someone’s life and relationship drastically. Cancer have been seen as a disease that revolves around strong donation interest. By donating to certain organization or community, the cancer patient could get a help from them. Using social media is their strong method to communicate their purpose and agenda to reach the donation candidate or those who can help and expand the attention of cancer disease. In Indonesia, disease is strongly influenced by religious and mystical figure and myths, thus, their method still crossing each other with actual medical workers, it is why Kanker_Fighter account still also has some PR blunder in their Instagram account. These phenomenon serves as Therapeutic Communication interference for actual medical worker in the field. With the strong donation biased method, lack of research, and Therapeutic Communication interference, it could stagnate the cure for cancer patients.

Abstract

This PKM activity aims to develop the skills of Vocational High School (SMK) students in making digital pin presses through special training. Technology and mechanical skills are becoming increasingly important in today's digital era, and vocational schools have a key role in preparing students for the ever-changing world of work. The training was carried out at the Anak Bangsa Private Vocational School located in Simalungun Regency. In this activity, we designed and implemented intensive training for vocational school students on making digital pin presses. This training includes a basic understanding of digital technology, use of relevant hardware and software, as well as technical skills required in the manufacturing process. Apart from that, the team leader also provided material about the entrepreneurial spirit which was carried out using the Zoom application. The training method involves practical teaching and guidance from experienced instructors. The results of the activity show that this training was successful in improving students' skills in making digital pin presses. In addition, students also demonstrated improvements in their understanding of digital technology and its potential use in the world of work. It is hoped that this activity can make a positive contribution to developing the skills of vocational school students and help them prepare to enter an increasingly competitive job market. The results of this training can be used as a basis for developing similar training in other vocational schools and can be a reference for educational institutions and the government in efforts to improve the quality of vocational education in Indonesia.

Abstract

Vegetables are very important as a source of nutrition for society and provide various vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants needed to maintain human health. This research aims to predict imported production of vegetable crops by main country of origin in 2024 using the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm. This algorithm was chosen because of its ability to integrate historical data and current information, as well as considering risk factors that impact vegetable import production. Historical data regarding imported production of vegetable crops from the main countries of origin used covers the period 2014 to 2022. The data is processed from customs documents of the Directorate General of Customs and Excise (PEB and PIB) and quoted from the Indonesian Statistics Publication. The vegetable import production prediction model was evaluated using accuracy level metrics. The research results are expected to provide reliable and accurate predictions for vegetable import production based on the main country of origin in 2024. The accuracy resulting from this research is 91% and the MSE level is 0.10042088158. Vegetable import production according to the main country of origin based on predicted results is expected to decline when compared with the previous year (2014-2022). These predictions provide a more detailed understanding to stakeholders such as farmers, producers, government and industry players in planning production, managing resources, allocating budgets and making effective decisions. This research also has the potential to contribute to the development of knowledge, especially in the development of more advanced and efficient prediction methods. This applies both to imported vegetable production and to other agricultural sectors, by utilizing the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm.

Abstract

HighlightThe sex ratio of giant prawns in the waters of fe- male groceries is 3 times higher than that of males. The growth characteristic of male and female   giant   prawns   is   negative   allometry, but the male and female body shapes are fat.Total   mortality, capture mortality, catch rate, male prawns are higher than females. The male infinitive growth is longer than the female, but the female's growth rate is faster than male.AbstractGiant prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) is a crustacean class that has the larg- est size and its habitat in Sembakung waters included brackish water (estuarine) with a salinity variable of 6.5+0.5 ppt and a temperature variable of 28.5+0.5OC and a variable pH of 6 (acidic). The objective of this research was to analyze the growth and mortality model of giant prawns (M. rosenbergii) that was taken from the catch of fisherman in the estuary, Sembakung sub-district, Nunukan Regency, Indonesia. The study was conducted for 3 months from November 2019 to Janu- ary 2020. The sampling was by using a survey method with purposive judgment sampling based on a catch of 14 fishermen who used the bottom fish pot from Sembakung waters, Nunukan Regency (Indonesia). The data collection included data of sex, total length, and the total weight of giant prawns. While analysis was employed for growth pattern, condition index, Von Bertalanffy growth, and mor- tality. The results obtain the sex ratio of male and female giant prawns 1:3.67. The growth pattern of male and female giant prawns were allometric negative. The growth of the von Bertalanffy model for infinitive growth of male giant prawns were 21.219 cm and female were 18.42 cm, respectively the mortality from giant prawns obtain total male mortality is 2,257, catch mortality is 1.92 and natural mortality is 33.75% with an exploitation rate of 0.85 (85%). The total female mor- tality is 1.528, catch mortality is 120.1% and natural mortality is 32.69% with an exploitation rate of 0.786 (78.6%).
