Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries in the world with various kinds of cultural diversity and different customs. Culture and traditions are formed due to several factors, one of which is geographical factors. Along with the development of the times, culture and customs have an essential role in creating the spatial structure. The spatial frame formed in each region will vary according to the ordinary conditions of the community in carrying out life. A spatial pattern influenced by geographical factors is the Sa'o Atalaki house, located in the Wolotopo traditional village, Ende Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. This study examines the spatial pattern of the Sa'o Atalaki traditional house and its relationship to geographic spatial patterns. This research uses a descriptive analysis method with literature study and direct observation. The study results are the spatial pattern of the Sa'o Atalaki traditional house consisting of several parts that function as a burial place, a deliberation room, and a traditional offering room for ancestors. Meanwhile, spatial planning in geography is divided into no parts, namely spatial, spatial ecology, and spatial complex. The spatial arrangement of traditional houses and geography is made according to the needs of each spatial function, as well as social and environmental impacts. Keywords: Traditional House, Spatial, Sa'o Atalaki, Geographical Spatial, Ende Regency

Abstract

Environmental literacy is considered an achievement of environmental education. Preservice teachers with good environmental literacy knowledge are more likely to align their actions with their understanding. Preservice teachers have two roles: as behavioural models for their students and as members of society. This research is a descriptive study that utilizes the survey method. The subjects of this research are 50 students from the Mathematics Education, Geography Education, and Technology and Informatics Education programs at STKIP Pesisir Selatan, West Sumatera-Indonesia. The data collection instrument in this research is a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used to process knowledge data utilizes the NELA score. This research indicates that students from all three programs have moderate environmental knowledge. The environmental literacy of Geography Education students has a minor standard deviation, showing relatively low variation in the scores. On the other hand, students in the Mathematics Education and Technology and Informatics Education programs have a higher standard deviation, indicating a more significant variation in their science literacy scores. Geography Education students have higher knowledge of ecology and pollution than students from the other two programs. Meanwhile, mathematics education students have the highest scores in environmental problem-solving skills. Keywords: Analysis, Environmental Literacy, Preservice Teacher

Abstract

Ternate City is one of the areas that has a high level of disaster vulnerability in Indonesia. In addition, the level of public awareness and knowledge about disaster experiences the highest level of vulnerability to local disasters, such as landslides, earthquakes, volcanic eruptions. as for the purpose of this research is). Developing a disaster mitigation learning model based on the concept of local wisdom in disaster preparedness?. And designing disaster mitigation lessons based on the concept of local wisdom in disaster preparedness? . The 4-d model consists of four stages, namely: definition, design, development, and deployment. Researchers have developed a disaster mitigation geography learning module based on the concept of local wisdom in disaster preparedness, especially at State Senior High School 5 Ternate City. The results of the development of learning modules can be seen from the aspect of content 82.23% with proper qualifications, the aspect of the science and technology community model 85% with very decent qualifications, the aspect of format 82% with very decent qualifications, the language aspect 93% with very good qualifications. proper qualifications and presentation aspects of 80% with proper qualifications. While the average value of the validator results is 85.5%. in addition to disaster mitigation learning materials, namely, types of disaster characteristics and disaster management cycles, distribution of disaster-prone areas in Indonesia, disaster management through education, local wisdom and use of technology and the role of society in natural disaster mitigation. In addition, the subjects at State Senior High School 5 Kota Ternate showed that the assessment results of highly qualified students were 75%, and the assessment of students with very high qualifications was 8.33%, while those with high qualifications were moderate student assessment qualifications of 16%. It can be concluded that teacher learning teaches students to understand learning material well, both from learning modules and community technology science models that are applied in learningKeywords: Geography Module, Disaster Mitigation, Local wisdom, Disaster Preparedness

Abstract

Wildfires in peatland areas have disrupted not only ecological systems but also educational continuity in Indonesia, particularly for students living in high-risk zones. This study aims to measure the resilience of senior high school students in Muaro Jambi Regency and explore the role of schools in supporting disaster preparedness and psychosocial well-being. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research integrates quantitative data from 343 students across three wildfire risk zones: high, medium, and low, with qualitative insights from semi-structured interviews with principals of three public senior high schools representing each zone. Resilience was assessed using the Disaster Resilience Scale for Individuals (DRSi), covering six dimensions: knowledge and skills, adaptive capacity, psychological endurance, social connectivity, physical health, and financial capability. Descriptive analysis showed slightly higher resilience scores in high-risk zones, but ANOVA results indicated no statistically significant differences across zones. The qualitative analysis used six thematic indicators: curriculum integration, supporting facilities, teacher roles, external collaboration, social support, and post-disaster recovery. Schools in high-risk zones demonstrated more proactive strategies, including disaster-themed projects, stakeholder coordination, and flexible learning during haze events. The study contributes to the field of education by affirming the relevance of whole-school approaches in disaster risk reduction and highlighting the need for localized, inclusive, and psychosocially responsive educational practices in wildfire-prone regions.
