Abstract

This study aims to detail the implementation of active learning-based digital marketing training to enhance the marketing capabilities of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs). This research employs a qualitative, descriptive methodology. The gathering of data commenced with interviews and observations of 12 informants, including 10 MSME owners, 1 trainer, and a training organizer. Utilizing semi-structured interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies, information was gathered. Triangulation was then applied to the data for analysis. This study reveals that 1) planning includes determining training learning needs, preparing schedules, determining trainers, determining the location and time of training, determining participant recruitment requirements, determining the form and materials of training materials, and digital marketing. Initial activities include pre-testing and orientation of digital marketing training based on active learning. Core activities include explanations of digital marketing materials for MSMEs and practices for developing MSMEs' digital marketing strategies. Final activities include evaluating the success of the implementation. 3) The results of the training include a significant increase in marketing knowledge and abilities, as seen in the post-test score. This study indicates that micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) should receive active learning-based digital marketing training on a regular basis in order to increase their competitiveness and economic influence.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of entrepreneurship education within Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) on rural community empowerment in Indonesia, focusing on a sheep farming initiative at Pesantren Persis 16 Cipada in West Java. Traditionally serving as centers for Islamic learning and moral development, pesantren have evolved to address the socioeconomic needs of their communities by integrating vocational training and entrepreneurship into their curricula. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected over three months through semi-structured interviews with program participants—including the program manager, a tutor, and five local residents—participant observation, and document analysis. Findings are categorized into three main themes: (1) Entrepreneurship Education and Economic Empowerment—the program provided participants with practical skills in sheep farming and business management, leading to increased economic independence and a reported 30% rise in household income for some participants; (2) Community Collaboration and Engagement—the initiative fostered unity and collective responsibility, enhancing social cohesion through shared decision-making and mutual support; and (3) Challenges in Sustaining the Initiative—issues such as limited funding, environmental factors affecting livestock health, and restricted market access posed threats to the program's sustainability. The study concludes that entrepreneurship education within pesantren can significantly contribute to rural economic empowerment and community development. By combining practical skills training with religious education, institutions like Pesantren Persis 16 Cipada effectively address both spiritual and economic needs, promoting resilience and sustainable development. However, to maximize their impact, these initiatives require additional support to overcome challenges related to financial resources, environmental adaptation, and market expansion. The findings highlight the potential of faith-based educational institutions to act as agents of social and economic change in rural settings.

Abstract

This study explores the integration and sustainability of local values in character education within the context of Community Learning Centers (CLCs) in Indonesia, focusing on PKBM Melati Batujajar. Employing a case study approach within a qualitative research framework, data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal the critical role of local values such as "gotong royong" (mutual cooperation), "musyawarah" (deliberation), "kepedulian" (care for others), and "tanggung jawab" (responsibility) in fostering empathy, collaboration, and accountability among learners. These values are integrated into CLC curricula through storytelling, role-playing, collaborative projects, and experiential learning, effectively contextualizing education within the learners' cultural environment. However, challenges such as the lack of standardized curricula, resource constraints, and the influence of globalization pose barriers to sustainability. To address these, the study recommends localized curricula, targeted facilitator training, and community-driven initiatives augmented by digital tools to harmonize tradition with modernity. By bridging the gap between local cultural heritage and contemporary pedagogical practices, this research contributes to the broader discourse on culturally responsive education and provides actionable strategies for preserving local values in non-formal education settings.

Abstract

The study explores the integration of storytelling using Educational Pictured Game Board as an innovative pedagogical approach to preserve the Sundanese language and cultural identity among early childhood learners at PAUD Sahabat Syurga. This method employed a qualitative design with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, focusing on children aged 5-6 years. The use of culturally resonant stories, traditional songs, and interactive educational tools made from recycled materials created an engaging and immersive learning experience. The results indicate significant improvements in children’s Sundanese vocabulary acquisition, narrative skills, and cultural awareness. Parental involvement played a crucial role in reinforcing language use at home, while teachers’ creativity and adaptability were key to delivering effective lessons. Challenges included limited parental fluency, resource constraints, and the dominance of Indonesian as the primary language in families. The study highlights the scalability of this approach to other regional languages and its potential to contribute to cultural preservation efforts. By demonstrating the effectiveness of culturally integrated storytelling, this research underscores the importance of early interventions in sustaining linguistic and cultural diversity. Future research should explore the longitudinal impacts of such initiatives and investigate the use of digital tools to modernize regional language education.

Abstract

Microteaching practices and educational field experiences have long been part of the professional training of teachers. Both are requirements that must be taken by prospective teachers to become skilled and professional teachers. This study aims to describe the effect of microteaching practices and educational field experiences on the professionalism of prospective teachers. A quantitative approach with the correlational method was used to analyze the data obtained from 178 teacher candidates who took part in the practice of microteaching and carried out 6 months of educational field experience. The instrument used to collect data is a questionnaire. The results of the data analysis show that the microteaching practice and educational field experiences affect the professionalism of prospective teachers. However, educational field experiences have a more dominant influence than the practice of microteaching. Educational field experience directly shapes the character of prospective teachers to become professional educators because they are faced with real experience in the field. Meanwhile, the practice of microteaching occurs in a limited space so the teaching experience gained by prospective teachers is also limited. More effective management of microteaching practices needs to be a concern because through microteaching prospective teachers theoretically and practically gain knowledge about basic teaching skills and skills in compiling learning tools. The knowledge gained during the practice of microteaching is used by prospective teachers while carrying out educational field experiences.

Abstract

Ethical leadership remains a critical concern in Indonesia’s public sector, where bureaucratic integrity is often undermined by systemic challenges. This study aims to examine the implementation and outcomes of character development training in fostering ethical behavior among public officials. The research was conducted at BP3KSDMT, a specialized training institution under the Ministry of Transportation, using a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected from 10 respondents—including facilitators, administrators, and training participants—through semi-structured interviews, participant observations, and document analysis. Triangulation and member-checking were employed to ensure data validity and reliability. Thematic analysis was conducted manually to identify key themes and recurring patterns related to training implementation and results. The findings reveal that experiential learning methods—such as role-playing, team-building exercises, and scenario-based simulations—positively influenced training outcomes, particularly in ethical decision-making, personal accountability, and teamwork. Post-training evaluations reported a 25% increase in ethical decision-making proficiency, a 34% improvement in awareness of bureaucratic ethics, and a 29% enhancement in collaborative problem-solving skills. These outcomes underscore the program’s effectiveness in achieving meaningful training results within the Indonesian civil service. This study contributes empirical evidence to the limited body of research on ethics training in Southeast Asian bureaucracies. In contrast to prior studies centered on Western models or conceptual frameworks, it offers context-specific insights into the practical value of character development. The findings highlight the importance of sustained investment in training implementation and call for further research on the long-term impact of such initiatives on institutional culture and accountability.
