Abstract

In the 2013 Physics Learning Curriculum is more emphasized on the Learning Process using the Process Skills approach to enhance students' Scientific Skills. based on observations in the field, it was found that the process skills had not been maximally performed. learning resources that become the main guidelines for teachers in Implementing Learning Activities are textbooks. however, the textbooks used in high schools in West Sumatra are very diverse, and it is not yet known which books can facilitate SPK. After the Survey, 4 books were used for a higher frequency, 3 of which were recommended by the government. This study aims to find out which books can facilitate the Implementation of Science Process Skills Presentation. Data was collected using an instrument analysis sheet, containing ten indicators of Science Process Skills (SPK), with 32 indicators. The instrument was validated by three experts obtained at the first expert with a score of 0.98% categorized as very valid, the second expert with a score of 0.96% categorized as very valid, and the third expert with a score of 0.85% categorized as very valid. The instrument was analyzed on the six main subjects, namely: Direct current electricity, Static electricity, Magnetic fields, Electromagnetic induction, Alternating current circuits, and Electromagnetic waves. The data collection technique used is the study of documents. Data analysis Techniques used Study content. The research results obtained that the books are used as a reference for Physics Learning in Class XII of Semester 1 High School which has the highest proportion of SPK Indicators, namely books by Writer Ketut Kamawijaya, Wawan.P with Grafindo Publishers in 2016, while books with the lowest proportion of Indicators Namely book by Author Sunardi, Paramitha Retno.P, Andreas B. Darmawan 2016.

Abstract

Science Process Skills (KPS) are skills that facilitate learners discover facts, determine concepts and apply theories in everyday life. In fact in the KPS implementation class is still low. In addition to the low implementation of KPS, the textbooks used by high schools in West Sumatra have not yet known the value of KPS. The solution to this problem is knowing which books have high KPS that will be used in the teaching and learning process.This study aims to determine the value of KPS in Physics textbooks used by high schools in West Sumatra. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The study population is all physics textbooks for Class X Semester 2 used in West Sumatra. The research sample is the four most books used in West Sumatra High School. The research instrument used has a high validity value. This research instrument uses 10 PPP components which are broken down into 37 PPP indicators.The results obtained that the book used in the classroom as a source of learning for students has 1 sample of books whose KPS scores are in the "Good" category. The other three sample books have KPS values in the "Fair" category. Physics textbooks that have the highest KPS values to books with low KPS grades in sequence according to the book coding are BTP3, BTP4, BTP2 and BTP1 books.

Abstract

    This meta-analysis study aims to analyze the effect size of the use of the jigsaw cooperative model based on education level, material units, and aspects of learning outcomes including knowledge, attitudes, and skills.  The research method used is a meta-analysis of 25 articles that have been published in various national and international journals and proceedings. The results of this study are as follows: (1) The use of the type cooperative model jigsaw in improving learning outcomes based on education level, more have an effect on the high school level; (2) The use of the jigsaw type cooperative model in improve learning outcome based on material units, more influential on units optics and thermodynamics material for high school level and affect the unit thermodynamics and vibration & wave materials for junior high school level; (3) The use of the type cooperative model jigsaw in improving learning outcomes has an effect on aspects of attitude, knowledge, and skills.

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum requires the use of diverse learning resources and can help students learn independently. Especially for physics learning that has characteristics connecting learning material with everyday contexts or contextual nature. The fact found in the field, that the learning resources used are textbooks and do not use everyday contexts. CTL-based e-modules can represent learning resources that are suitable for learning physics and help students learn independently. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in student learning outcomes using CTL-based E-modules with physics textbooks in SMA Negeri 12 Padang. This type of research is a quasi-experimental research. Sampling using a purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study consisted of two sample classes with a total of 36 students each class. The results of the study were conducted normality test and homogeneity test, it was proven that the data of both sample classes were normally distributed and homogeneous. Two similarity tests of the average for all aspects of learning outcomes, carried out at a real level of 0.05 and degrees of freedom dk 70 for all three aspects with each ttabel is 1.9900 obtained on the knowledge aspect of thitung is 2.9977, on the attitude aspect thitung is 3.4425 and in the skill aspect thitung is 2.2901. From these results it is known that thitung> ttabel. This means that classes using CTL-based E-modules have higher learning outcomes than classes that use physics textbooks. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference in the average learning outcomes of the use of CTL-based E-modules in Class X students of SMA Negeri 12 Padang.

Abstract

This study aims to find student learning outcomes using CTL and PPT-based videos for 10th grade students at Adabiah Padang High School on Newton's law material about motion and interaction. This type of research is an experiment with a randomized control group design only. This study involved two experimental classes, the first class using CTL-based videos and the second class using PPT. This study discusses aspects of attitude, knowledge and skills. Assessment is based on the instrument. Based on the results of data analysis that can prove student learning outcomes on aspects of attitudes, knowledge and skills of CTL-based videos are higher than the PPT class, the average results of CTL-based video student grade grades are higher than the PPT class, and related to student learning outcomes with applying CTL-based videos and applying PPT to Newton's law material about motion and applying at Adabiah High School Padang with a 95% confidence level

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of KPS presentation in Physics textbooks used by high schools in West Sumatra. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach. The study population is all Physics textbooks for Class XI Semester 1 published in Indonesia and used in West Sumatra. The research sample is the four most used books in West Sumatra High School, three of which are recommended by the government. The research instrument used was very valid. Data collection technique used is the study of documents. Data analysis technique used content study. The results were obtained that the book used as a reference for learning Physics in Class XI High School Semester 1 has facilitated observational skills indicators, but has not yet facilitated the skill indicators of asking questions.

Abstract

One approach suggested by the government to be applied in the learning process is a contextual approach. The contextual approach stimulates students to organize knowledge by relating it to facts in their lives. Physics studies natural phenomena with all their regularities so that it will be suitable if collaborated with a contextual approach. Implementation of contextual approaches in learning physics is determined by the textbook used. Based on the results of a survey conducted in several schools shows that textbooks used in schools come from several different publishers. Given the number of textbooks in circulation, it is necessary to know whether textbooks have been able to facilitate the application of contextual approaches in learning. The solution to this problem is to assess the extent of the second semester XII high school physics textbooks that are widely used today to facilitate the application of contextual approaches. This study aims to determine whether the presentation of high school physics textbooks for Class XII Semester 2 which is widely used today has facilitated the application of the CTL approach in learning. This type of research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach in presenting the results of research. The population in this study are all high school physics class XII textbooks used in Indonesia and circulating in West Sumatra and 2 (two) high school physics textbooks that have been assessed and determined by the ministry of education and culture. Sampling in this study with Nonprobability Sampling technique with the type of Purposive Sampling. The research data were obtained from documentation studies, namely textbooks used in learning physics. The research instrument consisted of a physics textbook presentation sheet related to the contextual approach component. The data in this study were analyzed using simple statistics, the analysis conducted on textbooks published by Yrama Widya had a percentage of 80% with the category "in accordance", textbooks published by Erlangga had a percentage of 69% with the category "in accordance", books teaching published by Grafindo Mediapratama has a percentage of 63% with the category "in accordance" and books teaching published by Tiga Srangkai has a percentage of 55% with the category "quite in accordance". The results of the research that have been carried out state that the textbooks analyzed in general have facilitated the contextual approach component in learning.

Abstract

The many technological discoveries of the 21st century require the world of education to adapt quickly. Based on curriculum 2013’s competence standards. Then it requires reinforcement of a scientific approach to add in learning. But in the fact remains that the learning model demands the 2013 curriculum and the 21st-century technology-based learning medium is not fully finish. Researchers have attempted to study using video as a learning medium in guided inquiry learning to look at the impact on learning participants. The kind of research being done is a quasi-experiment research design with the randomized research group one design. The population in this research are all public high school seniors registered in 2020/2021. Samples from this research are XI MIPA 1 as experiment class and XI MIPA 2 as control class. The research instrument consists of posttest and performance assessment sheets. The data on this research is analyzed using a two average descriptive analysis and testing similarities ate definite point 0,05 for the competence of students made up of knowledge and skill. Studies have concluded that there is an influence that means use the video in guided inquiry learning to traveling wave and sound waves in XI SMA Negeri 7 Sijunjung. It is supported by has data analysis on each knowledge and skill competence with two averages found th> ttable. At the competence knowledge, 4,824>2,002 and at skill competence 4,098>2,002 who are in the Ho rejection area means there are differenct results for the competence of knowledge and student’ skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the presentation of CTL components contained in senior high school phy-sics class XI Semester 2 textbooks. This type of research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach. The sample used in this study was 4 textbooks which were used by several senior high schools in West Sumatra. Book MK-ER is entitled Physics for Senior High Schools Class XI 2016 written by Marthen Kanginan, the publisher of Erlangga. Book KK-GF titled Active and Creative Student's Study of Physics 2 for Senior High Schools Class XI Specialization in Mathematics and Natural Sciences 2016,written by Ketut Kamajaya, Grafindo publishers. Book MF-TS titled Student Book Study of Physics Concept 2 for Class XI Senior High School Groups Concerning Mathematics and Natural Sciences 2016 written by Muhammad Farchani Rosyid, publisher of the Tiga Serangkai. Book SN-YW titled Physics for Senior High School Class XI Mathematics and Natural Sciences Groups 2016, written by Sunardi, publisher of Yrama Widya. The research instrument used was an analysis sheet containing 7 CTL components and broken down into 39 indicator items. Each indicator is represented by one instrument. Data analysis technique is a content analysis technique by analyzing the contents of written data. The results of this study indicate that the best book in facilitating CTL is book SN-YW-TS with a percentage of fullness of the CTL indicator of 81.5% (very appropriate). The second best book is book KK-GF with a percentage of fulfillment of the CTL indicator of 79.03% (according). Then the third best book is book MF-TS with a percentage of 75.30% (according). While the lowest book in facilitating CTL is book MK-ER with a percentage of 67.83% (quite appropriate). Based on the results of the study, the most recommended book in facilitating CTL used for Senior high school physics class XI is a book written by Sunardi, in 2016, publisher of Yrama Widya.

Abstract

Science Process Skills (SPS) are skills used in scientific inquiry that can facilitate students discovering facts, concepts, and can apply theories in everyday life. One of the supporting science process skills is the textbook. Textbooks are the main source of learning in the learning process. The use of textbooks in West Sumatra varies greatly. This study aims to determine the level of SPS offers in textbooks used in secondary schools in West Sumatra. This research is a descriptive study using a qualitative approach with a population of all physics textbooks for Class XII semester 2 published in Indonesia and used in secondary schools in West Sumatra. The sample of this study were four Physics textbooks that were most widely used in secondary schools in West Sumatra and three of them were recommended by the Ministry of Education and Culture. The instrument used was validated by 3 experts. the first expert got a value of 0.98% categorized as very valid, the second expert obtained a value of 0.96 categorized very valid and the third expert got a value of 0.85 categorized as very valid. The validated instrument has 10 components and is defined on each indicator to be 37 instrument points. Data collection techniques used were interviews and documentation. The results were obtained that physics textbooks written by Muhammad Farchani Rosyid, and published by the Triumvirate in 2016, had the highest SPS bid level, whereas physics textbooks written by Marthen Kanginan and published by Erlangga in 2017 had the lowest SPS service level.
