Abstract

The Indonesian employee mental health crisis issue can be mitigated through the innovation of digital counseling and the support of artificial intelligence (AI). This research adopts the approach of a systematic literature review (SLR) with the aid of the PRISMA technique covering twelve (12) articles published between 2021 and 2025 from the databases of Science Direct, PubMed, SAGE Open, and Taylor and Francis. The research aimed to determine the efficacy of digital counseling and AI on employees' psychological well-being, productivity, and retention, and to identify the facilitators and barriers to implementation. Additionally, it sought to ascertain the ethical issues arising from the recommendations of governance theories. The research showed that digital counseling can improve accessibility and reduce stigma; however, it is ineffective in addressing issues related to data privacy and unresolved emotions associated with AI. The positive impact on adoption is determined by corporate social responsibility, emotional support from leaders, and organizational supportive features. To summarize, the meaningful integration of humans and digital counseling, coupled with thorough ethical governance structures and genuine leadership, is crucial to the success of digital counseling and organizational performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership and tutor competence on learning achievement through learning motivation as a mediating variable among learners of equivalency education in Salatiga City. This research employed a quantitative approach with an associative method. The population consisted of 3,039 equivalency education learners in Salatiga City, while the sample comprised 98 respondents selected using proportional random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires, limited interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, multiple regression, and Sobel tests with the assistance of SPSS version 26. The findings reveal that leadership and tutor competence have a positive and significant effect on learning motivation. Furthermore, leadership, tutor competence, and learning motivation simultaneously exert a positive and significant influence on learning achievement. Learning motivation also significantly mediates the effect of leadership and tutor competence on learning achievement, with the highest Beta coefficient of 0.400, indicating that learning motivation is the most dominant factor in improving learning outcomes. These results highlight that enhancing the learning achievement of equivalency education learners largely depends on the tutors’ ability to foster learning motivation through effective leadership, professional competence, and contextually relevant instructional strategies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between Work-Life Balance (WLB), teacher performance, and educational quality by using teacher performance as a mediating variable that influences WLB on educational quality. This study uses a literature study method with a qualitative approach, where data is obtained from domestic and international scientific articles related to the discussed topic and then analyzed using thematic analysis techniques to find patterns and relationships between variables. The results of the analysis indicate that WLB has a positive influence on teacher performance because teachers who can maintain a balance between work and life tend to have higher motivation, focus, and creativity. Furthermore, teacher performance has been proven to play a significant role in improving educational quality because teachers with good performance can create effective and quality learning. In addition, it was found that the effect of WLB on educational quality is indirect, through improved teacher performance as a mediator. The novelty of this study lies in combining the three variables of Work-Life Balance, teacher performance, and educational quality in one conceptual analysis model that has not been widely studied before. These findings are expected to broaden understanding of the importance of teacher well-being in efforts to continuously improve educational quality.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to examine how local wisdom values are interpreted and practiced in educational supervision and their contribution to teacher competency development in schools. The study used a multi-site qualitative case study design involving 12 participants. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. Data analysis was conducted thematically to identify relational, ethical, cultural, and spiritual patterns in supervisory practices. The results show that supervision is not only understood as an administrative control mechanism but also as a dialogic process built through deliberation, cooperation, trust, respect, and communal solidarity. These values contribute to a more open, reflective, and collaborative professional relationship between teachers, principals, and supervisors. The results of this study expand the study of educational supervision by demonstrating the importance of ethical and relational dimensions based on local wisdom in the practice of supervising educational human resources. This research has implications for educational supervision policies that need to integrate local wisdom values beyond administrative aspects. In school practice, supervision is directed to be dialogic, collaborative, and trust-based. This improves teacher competency holistically by strengthening pedagogical, social, and ethical aspects, thereby creating a more humane and sustainable educational ecosystem.

Abstract

This study examines the role conflict experienced by Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in Indonesian public schools, specifically the tension between administrative duties and core teaching responsibilities. Using a qualitative case study approach, this research explores how a PAI teacher navigates competing demands from both the Ministry of Religious Affairs and local education authorities. The findings reveal three primary forms of role conflict: time conflict, attentional conflict, and value conflict. Additionally, the study identifies coping strategies developed by the teacher, including task prioritization, technology utilization, social support networks, and work-life balance maintenance. This research argues that the bureaucratization of education has led to the deprofessionalization of PAI teachers, necessitating fundamental bureaucratic reform that includes administrative simplification, provision of administrative support staff, resolution of dual authority structures, and restoration of the teacher's primary role as an educator rather than an administrator

Abstract

Digital transformation has significantly changed the educational landscape and requires teachers to possess competencies that align with technological advancements. From the perspective of educational human resource management, teacher competency development is considered a strategic effort to enhance teacher quality and improve overall educational performance. This article aims to analyze strategies for developing teacher competencies in response to digital transformation and their implications for improving the quality of educational human resources. This study employed a qualitative approach using a literature review method. The data were collected from scientific journal articles, books, international organizational reports, and educational policy documents, focusing on publications from 2023–2025. The collected data were analyzed using content analysis through the processes of identification, classification, interpretation, and synthesis of relevant research findings. The results indicate that teacher competency development should be implemented continuously through needs-based training, continuous professional development, professional learning communities, coaching, mentoring, and strong instructional leadership from school principals. However, its implementation still faces several challenges, including unequal digital infrastructure, varying levels of teachers’ digital literacy, and unequal access to professional development programs. Therefore, integrated and sustainable educational human resource management policies are essential to strengthen teacher competencies, improve the quality of educational human resources, and enhance learning quality in the era of digital transformation.
