Abstract

This research aimed to assess the readiness of Indonesian pre-service science teachers by examining their perceptions of impending challenges, desired competencies, and anticipated instructional methodologies in preparing for the challenges of Society 5.0. Using a quantitative survey research methodology, 884 pre-service science teachers from 16 universities were surveyed. The research instrument's validity and reliability were assessed utilizing the Rasch model. Inferential statistics were employed to assess the readiness of pre-service science teachers for future challenges, taking into account their backgrounds. The test outcomes showed the Cronbach's Alpha coefficient reached 0.92, is deemed "excellent", affirming the instrument's high reliability. The findings of the study revealed that the majority of teachers share a consistent perception of future challenges and recognize the importance of mastering 21st-century skills, particularly critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, and collaboration. However, respondents believe that the current learning process does not adequately train these skills. They expressed a desire for an alternative learning method that can enhance their skills while accommodating their diverse backgrounds, including place of residence, economic background, and technological proficiency. Further research is needed to identify alternative teaching methods that can effectively foster these abilities in diverse backgrounds.

Abstract

The issue of psychological well-being in education has emerged as an increasingly critical topic in recent years. This is due to the significance of psychological well-being in enhancing the performance of e ducational institutions, encompassing students, teachers, and the process of formulating school policies. This study sought to discover recent research on psychological well-being from an academic perspective. A total of 27 research articles were successfully gathered and reviewed based on the established criteria. This article review was conducted utilizing two databases (SCOPUS and WoS) and the following keywords: "psychological well-being" combined with "AND" and other search terms such as "school", "teacher", and "student". This systematic review offers a synthesis of results that can serve as the initial step in developing constructs of psychological well-being in educational institutions, thus implying the importance of psychological well-being for teachers and students. The results of the analysis from this systematic literature review have been discussed and concluded in this study.

Abstract

Higher education institutions have come under fire for their perceived restrictive tactics and lack of diversity among students and faculty. This article dives into the possible synergy between anthropology and critical consciousness, drawing inspiration from Paulo Freire's seminal contributions. The major goal is to create a revolutionary transition in higher education toward a more inclusive educational paradigm. Furthermore, this study investigates the influence of political landscapes on educational curriculum, emphasizing the need for a revolutionary pedagogical framework that fosters critical consciousness in both students and instructors. The prospect of developing a more equitable and inclusive learning environment within higher education becomes reachable via the harmonic integration of different pedagogical techniques, one that is sensitive to the diverse requirements of all learners. This attempt, however, is not without difficulties, such as opposition to change and the political terrain's intricacies. Professional development opportunities and coordinated efforts between educators, administrators, and policymakers are required for successful implementation. To summarize, the priority of social responsibility in higher education is evident, and adopting transformational pedagogy is critical for tackling the multiple issues inherent in the twenty-first century.

Abstract

Penerapan 5R (Ringkas, Rapi, Resik, Rawat dan Rajin) adalah proses pembersihan semua kotoran agar dapat menggunakan benda yang diperlukan pada waktu yang diperlukan dalam jumlah yang secukupnya. Pemahaman tentang penerapan 5R yang baik pada karyawan di PT. X Batam bertujuan agar para karyawan lebih meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi dalam bekerja. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasional yang bersifat cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 30 orang karyawan bagian bengkel trailer dan workshop area PT.X Batam Tahun 2020. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah total sampling dan analisis statistic menggunakan uji chisquare. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan penerapan 5R (p-value=0,025), hubungan ketersediaan fasilitas dengan penerapan 5R (pvalue=0,024) dan hubungan pelatihan dengan penerapan 5R (p-value=0,003). Disimpulkan dari hasil penelitian bahwa ada hubungan antara pengetahuan, ketersediaan fasilitas dan pelatihan dengan penerapan 5R, sehingga disarankan untuk perusahaan agar meningkatkan penerapan program 5R dan melakukan sosialisasi pada karyawan mengenai pentingnya penerapan 5R di tempat kerja, serta mengadakan pelatihan 5R bagi karyawan.

Abstract

Sistem informasi inventaris atau pengelolaan sarana dan prasarana di lingkungan sekolah sering menghadapi berbagai kendala, khususnya dalam hal pencatatan dan pelaporan, seperti kesulitan mendata barang yang dipinjam, kondisi barang yang rusak, serta barang yang masih layak pakai. SMKN 2 Yogyakarta merupakan salah satu sekolah yang masih menggunakan sistem pencatatan manual, sehingga rawan terhadap kesalahan pencatatan, kehilangan data, dan keterlambatan pelaporan. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut, dikembangkanlah sebuah sistem informasi inventaris berbasis website yang terkomputerisasi dan terintegrasi. Sistem ini dibangun menggunakan framework CodeIgniter 4, dengan bahasa pemrograman PHP, dan memanfaatkan database untuk menyimpan data secara terstruktur dan aman. Pengembangan sistem dilakukan menggunakan metode waterfall, yang memungkinkan proses pembangunan berlangsung secara sistematis dari tahap analisis kebutuhan hingga implementasi, serta mendukung dokumentasi dan kerja tim yang terarah. Hasil dari pengembangan ini adalah sistem informasi yang mampu mencatat data inventaris secara terstruktur, termasuk proses peminjaman dan pengembalian barang. Dengan adanya sistem ini, pihak sekolah, terutama teknisi atau petugas inventaris, dapat melakukan pencatatan dan pelaporan dengan lebih efisien, cepat, dan akurat. Selain itu, sistem ini juga bertujuan untuk meminimalisir kehilangan data, meningkatkan transparansi, serta memperkuat akuntabilitas dalam pengelolaan inventaris sekolah

Abstract

Scientific literacy is one of the determining factors in preparing competent human resources in the future. This study aimed to determine students' scientific literacy skills based on the PISA framework. This research is ex post facto research, with a crosssectional survey design. The research sample was selected by purposive sampling of 224 students in class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Merbau Mataram. Quantitative data from students' scientific literacy competency scores obtained with PISA questions were then analyzed descriptively. The results of students' scientific literacy competence in this study were in the "very low" category (30.06 ± 1.8). Based on the aspect of scientific competence, identifying scientific problems (33.35 ± 2.58) has the highest score, then using scientific evidence (36.18 ± 3.21), and the lowest score is the aspect of explaining scientific phenomena (20.7 ± 1,7). Thus, the results of this study concluded that students' scientific literacy abilities at SMPN 2 Merbau Mataram were in the very low category.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of animated video media with pictures on learning interest in reading skills of elementary school students based on the results of previous research. The research method used is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Data collection through Google Scholar. Inclusion criteria include (1) vulnerable articles in 2019-2024, (2) keywords used “animated video media with pictures”, “interest in learning”. (3) full text articles, (4) in Indonesian or English. Of the 260 documents related to animated video media with pictures, and of these 172 articles were obtained specifically discussing the context of interest in learning, only 15 articles met the inclusion criteria for the analysis stage. Data analysis includes identification and selection of articles based on inclusion criteria, data extraction, selection based on relevance, and thematic analysis of research findings. The findings show that animated video media with pictures is effective in increasing interest in learning through visual and audio presentations that are able to attract attention, create a pleasant learning atmosphere, and encourage active involvement during the learning process, especially in reading skills. In addition, the use of animation has been shown to help students understand reading content more easily through multisensory stimulation that is in line with their developmental characteristics. Based on the synthesis of findings, animated video media with pictures can be recommended as an alternative innovative and relevant learning media to support increasing interest in learning reading skills in elementary school students.

Abstract

Creative thinking skills are widely discussed in science education research, yet their conceptualization, pedagogical treatment, and measurement still show methodological diversity. This study systematically synthesizes recent studies on creative thinking skills in science education, focusing on learning strategies, learning media, and assessment instruments. A systematic literature review (SLR) using the PRISMA framework was conducted on 23 Scopus-indexed publications from 2019–2022. The results indicate that most studies position creative thinking skills as a learning outcome embedded in instructional innovation rather than as an independent construct. STEM-oriented learning, technology-assisted learning, problem-based learning, and inquiry-based learning are the most frequently explored contexts. However, the literature is dominated by qualitative and descriptive research, with limited comparative or experimental evidence. Variation in definitions and measurements also persists, often overlapping with related constructs such as critical thinking. Overall, this review reveals rich pedagogical innovation but limited methodological consistency and analytical rigor. The findings highlight the need for clearer construct boundaries, more robust research designs, and better alignment between learning strategies and validated instruments. This review contributes to mapping research patterns and identifying gaps for future empirical studies in creative thinking skills in science education

Abstract

Coastal Lampung has a high level of cultural diversity, one example of which is the Bedana dance. This study aims to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of an interactive digital module integrating the local wisdom of the Coastal Lampung Bedana dance in improving students’ biological literacy. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method with Grade XI science students of a senior high school in Gedongtataan as the research subjects. The research data consisted of qualitative and quantitative data obtained through questionnaires, interviews, and tests. The validation results indicated that the interactive digital module was highly feasible for learning, with material feasibility of 93%, language 78%, media 93%, cultural aspects 89%, and practitioner assessment 100%. Limited trials obtained a positive response of 91%. The implementation test showed an N-Gain score of 0.72, categorized as high. The effectiveness test yielded a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.008, indicating a significant effect on students’ biological literacy. Modul Digital Interaktif Berbasis Kearifan Lokal Tari Bedana dalam Meningkatkan Literasi Biologi Peserta Didik ABSTRAK: Lampung Pesisir memiliki keanekaragaman budaya yang tinggi, salah satunya adalah tari Bedana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan efektifitas modul digital interaktif bermuatan kearifan lokal tari Bedana Lampung Pesisir terhadap literasi biologi peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan subjek siswa kelas XI IPA Sekolah Menengah Atas di Gedongtataan. Data penelitian berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang diperoleh melalui angket, wawancara, dan tes. Hasil validasi menunjukkan modul digital interaktif sangat layak digunakan dengan persentase kelayakan materi 93%, bahasa 78%, media 93%, budaya 89%, dan praktisi 100%. Uji coba terbatas memperoleh respons 91%. Hasil uji penggunaan menunjukkan nilai N-Gain literasi biologi sebesar 0,72 (kategori tinggi). Uji efektivitas memperoleh nilai Sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,008, yang menunjukkan pengaruh signifikan terhadap literasi biologi peserta didik.

Abstract

Proses pengesahan RUU-PKS menjadi topik pembicaraan dikalangan masyarakat khususnya sosial media, banyaknya opini yang disampaikan menyulitkan Netizen atau pengguna sosial media untuk membedakan opini negatif, positif ataupun netral. Dengan analisis sentimen opini acak tersebut dapat digabungkan dan diolah menjadi data sehingga menghasilkan sebuah informasi yang lebih jelas, pada proses sentimen analisis terdapat tahapan pre-processing. Untuk melakukan proses klasifikasi atau analisis data digunakan teknik machine learning bernama Naive Bayes sebuah metode yang dibuat untuk mengklasifikasikan data berbentuk text yang mampu dimanfaatkan dalam memprediksi suatu nilai dari sekumpulan data, namun penggunaan opini terhadap isu sebagai data penelitian menghasilkan jumlah data yang tidak seimbang atau imbalance sehingga diperlukan perhitungan akurasi dengan menggunakan metode confusion marix untuk meringkas kinerja klasifikasi yang memiliki data imbalance. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui berapa nilai f1-score dari pre-processing opini Netizen terhadap RUU-PKS dengan menggunakan algoritma Naive Bayes Classifier, Mengetahui apakah tahapan pre-processing memiliki efektivitas dalam melakukan analisis sentimen pada opini Netizen terhadap RUU-PKS, Mengetahui berapa hasil perbandingan opini Netizen terhadap RUU-PKS dengan menggunakan kumpulan data cuitan pada media sosial Twitter serta mengetahui bagaimana hasil dari keseluruhan opini Netizen terhadap RUU-PKS pada sosial media Twitter. Penelitian ini menghasilkan empat kondisi pre-processing dengan 2.021 data opini dari Twitter mendapatkan nilai f1-score tertinggi pada kondisi preprocessing C yang tidak melakukan tahapan stopword namun melakukan tahapan normalisasi sebesar 72%.
