Abstract

Black cumin (Nigella sativa) is a herbal plant that has been cultivated locally in Indonesia and is traditionally used for various diseases. Thymoquinone, one of the main components, is rich in biological activity. In several countries, topical application of its oil on human skin with vitiligo can stimulate skin repigmentation with minimal side effects. This study aims to determine the viability of B16F10 melanoma mouse cells against ethanol and n-hexane extracts of black cumin seeds through the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. The ethanol extract (EE) yield was 14.306%, and the n-hexane extract (NHE) was 7.442%. Phytochemical screening of EE detected flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, and steroids, and High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) detected 0.040% thymoquinone. The MTT test showed cell viability was >100% from EE at all treatment concentrations, namely 0.75-100 ppm and only 0.75-6.25 ppm for NHE. In conclusion, this study indicates that 96% EE of Nigella sativa is less toxic than NHE on B16F10 mouse melanoma cells and has potential as an alternative treatment for vitiligo, which needs to be proven in further research.

Abstract

In today's digital era, the use of technology in education is increasingly important to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the learning process. AI-based Puzzle Maker is expected to be an innovative tool to overcome challenges in English language learning, especially in improving students' vocabulary and comprehension skills. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in learning English through Puzzle Maker media at SD Muhammadiyah Ambarawa. The method of data collection was through learning outcome tests (pre-test and post-test), classroom observation, and interviews with teachers and students. The results showed a significant increase in the students' average score from 60 in the pre-test to 85 in the post-test. The percentage of students who reached the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) also increased from 50% to 90%. In addition, classroom observations and interviews revealed that students' engagement and motivation in learning increased significantly.Teachers find it easy to deliver material and get automatic feedback through AI-based Puzzle Maker media. In conclusion, the application of AI technology in Puzzle Maker media is effective in improving students' learning outcomes, engagement and motivation, and simplifying the teaching process for teachers.

Abstract

This article aims to find out about Islamic Arbitration in order to hand over the resolution of their disputes to a neutral and trusted third party, called an arbitrator or hakam. The arbitrator will then decide the case based on Islamic law (shariah) and justice. The method used in this research uses literature and library analysis. The research results show that Islamic Arbitration is an alternative dispute resolution that is in accordance with Islamic law. Islamic arbitration can be the right choice to resolve various types of disputes, including commercial disputes, family disputes, and inheritance disputes. However, it is important to note that Islamic arbitration is only binding on parties who have agreed to use it.

Abstract

This study examines public sentiment on social media platform X regarding Indonesia's Ministry of Health during the COVID-19 pandemic, using Naïve Bayes and Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithms. Posts mentioning the Ministry’s official account (@KemenkesRI) were preprocessed and labeled using the VADER tool. Sentiment classification was performed with TF-IDF word weighting, and both algorithms were evaluated. Results show SVM achieved slightly higher accuracy (79%) than Naïve Bayes (77%), indicating its effectiveness in handling complex language structures, though it requires more computational resources. This research underscores the utility of SVM for analyzing public sentiment on health policies..

Abstract

In the medical world, there are five types of Hepatitis, namely Hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E. However, the five types of hepatitis have similar symptoms, including yellowing of the skin color, yellowing of the eyeball, loss of appetite, etc. Thus, many of the Medical Personnel often misdiagnose the patient for the type of hepatitis or not suffer from hepatitis. Therefore, previous diagnostic data ware collected from Medical Specialists which will be processed and developed into the Java-based Decision Support System Application with Expert System method with the percentage output of the likelihood of patients from each type of hepatitis along with the possibility of patients not suffering from hepatitis. With the output of this application, the percentage of the possibility of each type of hepatitis or the possibility of not suffering from hepatitis can help Medical Personnel to make diagnostic decisions based on alternatives provided by the application.

Abstract

COVID-19 is one of the topics that is being discussed intensively. The virus which was declared a global pandemic on March 11 by WHO caused around 2.09 million Indonesians to be infected with the COVID-19 virus. To overcome this, the government carried out a vaccination program. The data taken for this study is public opinion about the COVID-19 vaccine written on Twitter. The number of opinions written on Twitter requires classification according to the sentiments they have, whether they tend to be negative opinions or positive opinions using lexicon-based The idea of this research is to classify the covid vaccination dataset using the naive Bayes classifier method and visualization using word cloud. Crawling to obtain the dataset from Twitter, text pre-processing and labelling to determine the positive and negative classes, TFIDF feature extraction, data splitting with a percentage of 80% for train data and 20% for data testing, and finally classification using nave Bayes are the stages in this research The system's sentiment analysis research yielded significant results, the accuracy value is 73.1%, the precision value is 73% and the recall value is 83%.

Abstract

Acute coronary syndrome is a disease process with a collection of symptoms caused by acute myocardial ischemia due to the presence of atherosclerotic plaques. It has become a health problem with the highest mortality rate in the world and high blood glucose levels are associated with poor clinical outcomes and increased risk of death in hospitalised patients. To determine the relationship between blood sugar levels and mortality in patients with acute coronary syndrome in RSUD Dr. H. Chasan Boesoirie in 2018-2023. This type of research is quantitative cross sectional analytical observational with a retrospective approach and using Spearman’s rho test. The sample totalled to 131 samples taken using medical record data with simple random sampling technique. Based on bivariate analysis, p-value = 0.003 (p0.05) with a correlation coefficient of 0.261 which means there is a relationship between increased blood sugar levels with mortality with a weak positive correlation. There is a relationship between blood sugar levels and mortality, namely the higher the blood sugar level, the higher the mortality
