Abstract

Desa Tulusbesar – Kabupaten Malang merupakan salah satu desa binaan Politeknik Negeri Malang, dimana salah satu permasalahan yang ada di desa ini adalah adanya kotoran sapi yang melimpah yang dibuang secara langsung ke lingkungan perumahan dan sungai tanpa ada penanganan dan pemanfaatan yang maksimal sehingga menyebabkan pencemaran lingkungan. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) adalah memberikan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan tentang pengolahan kotoran sapi menjadi biogas dalam skala komunal. Metode yang digunakan adalah 1). Pemberian pengetahuan dan ketrampilan pembuatan biogas dalam bentuk pelatihan dengan metode ceramah, diskusi, praktek, dan 2). Pembangunan unit biogas skala komunal, pemberian bimbingan teknis, pendampingan, dan pemberian hibah peralatan digester biogas. Hasil pelaksanaan PkM menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi, dukungan, antusias, dan keterlibatan masyarakat khususnya peserta pelatihan sangat tinggi yang dibuktikan dengan keberhasilannya dalam membangun unit produksi biogas skala komunal serta dihasilkannya biogas yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk kegiatan masak – memasak.

Abstract

Global aspirations on climate change are centered on limiting temperature increases to no more than 1.5°C through a net-zero emissions target by 2050. Achieving this requires concrete actions from governments, businesses, and the public, with an emphasis on renewable energy, climate adaptation, and evidence-based policies, driven significantly by youth advocacy. The Green ‘Aisyiyah movement represents an ijtihad (independent reasoning) grounded in Qur’anic and Hadith values that enjoin environmental stewardship. This study aims to understand how the Green ‘Aisyiyah Movement mobilizes women and the broader community to address environmental concerns and mitigate the climate crisis, positioning it as a tangible example of eco-jihad. Employing a qualitative literature review with a case study approach, the research critically analyzes and synthesizes existing academic works on Islamic environmental movements. The findings indicate that Green ‘Aisyiyah is a holistic da'wah effort that integrates spiritual, social, economic, and educational dimensions to foster sustainable behavioral change in society. The movement's prospects are promising, with significant potential for growth and impact in tackling Indonesia's climate crisis, particularly through enhanced internal and external collaboration within the Muhammadiyah network (Pentahelix).

Abstract

Teachers in kindergartens often lack knowledge on how to assess children's computational thinking abilities, as there is a lack of validated instruments to measure this ability in early childhood. This study aims to analyze children’s levels of computational thinking abilities in Kindergarten Surakarta City and identify aspects of computational thinking that are still low, to inform appropriate pedagogical interventions that provide suitable stimulation. The research method employs descriptive quantitative methods, presenting frequency distributions, means, modes, medians, minimums, maximums, ranges, and standard deviations. Data collection techniques through computational thinking tests using instruments that have been validated through expert judgment and pilot testing. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling, which involved selecting kindergartens in Surakarta City, resulting in 60 respondents aged 5-6 years. Based on the four aspects of computational thinking ability, the algorithm is the most mastered aspect (80%) because teachers often stimulate children through natural daily routines. Pattern recognition (64, 58%) is the ability to identify repetitive patterns, such as those found in color sequences or shapes. Decomposition (54,58%) is challenging because it trains children to break down large problems into smaller parts to make them easier to solve. Debugging (40,41%) is the lowest level because it involves metacognitive aspects in complex problem-solving. This research provides an overview for teachers to be able to implement innovative learning that can stimulate computational thinking. Teachers can actively integrate play-based learning that engages children and collaboration between classmates. In addition, integrating digital technology media can make the learning process more interesting. Given the small sample size in this study, future research should involve a larger group of participants to improve the generalization of results. Future research should use larger sample sizes and encourage collaboration between institutions in different regions so that it can provide further insight into effective learning strategies in stimulating children's computational thinking.

Abstract

Tempat Pembuangan Akhir (TPA) merupakan lingkungan kerja dengan risiko tinggi terhadap kecelakaan dan penyakit akibat kerja. Rendahnya kepatuhan pekerja dalam menggunakan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) menjadi salah satu faktor utama yang meningkatkan risiko kecelakaan. Pengawasan manual yang dilakukan selama ini terbukti kurang efektif karena keterbatasan tenaga pengawas dan luasnya area kerja. Pengabdian ini mengusulkan penerapan sistem APDWatch berbasis Smart Computer Vision yang mengintegrasikan model deteksi objek YOLOv8m dan model klasifikasi multi-output VGG16 untuk mendeteksi penggunaan APD secara otomatis. Sistem ini mampu memberikan notifikasi real-time kepada pengawas ketika ditemukan pelanggaran penggunaan APD. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan nilai mAP@50 sebesar 0,9514 untuk YOLOv8m dan rata-rata F1-score 0,8927 pada atribut helm, rompi, dan sepatu menggunakan VGG16. Implementasi sistem pada perangkat IoT berbasis Raspberry Pi dengan kamera menunjukkan kemampuan berjalan secara real-time dengan latensi kurang dari 2 detik. Program pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di CV Berkah Jaya Mandiri Semarang dengan luaran berupa aplikasi web monitoring, artikel ilmiah, dan HKI hak cipta aplikasi. Penerapan sistem ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran pekerja tentang pentingnya penggunaan APD serta mengurangi angka kecelakaan kerja di sektor pengelolaan sampah.

Abstract

Urgensi penelitian ini terletak pada perlunya mengeksplorasi model kepemimpinan di wilayah dengan tantangan ekstrem, di mana keterbatasan infrastruktur berupa status blank spot internet dan ketersediaan listrik tenaga surya yang hanya sebesar 500 watt menuntut resiliensi manajerial agar kualitas pembelajaran tetap terjaga. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis peran kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin pembelajaran dalam meningkatkan profesionalisme guru di SMAN Tiomneri. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi pembelajaran, dan telaah dokumen Subjek penelitian ini melibatkan delapan informan kunci yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling, terdiri dari satu orang Kepala Sekolah (KS), satu orang Wakil Kepala Sekolah (WK) bidang kurikulum, dan enam orang guru . Analisis data dilakukan dengan model interaktif (reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan), sedangkan keabsahan data diuji melalui triangulasi sumber, teknik, dan waktu, serta didukung member check dan peer debriefing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepala sekolah menjalankan kepemimpinan pembelajaran melalui lima tanggung jawab utama, yaitu: 1) mendefinisikan dan mengkomunikasikan visi misi sekolah dengan menyelaraskan arah program sekolah, penegasan target kerja, dan penguatan komitmen guru agar pembelajaran tetap berorientasi pada tujuan; 2) mengoordinasikan kurikulum melalui fasilitasi perencanaan perangkat ajar, rapat/kerja kurikulum, koordinasi lintas mata pelajaran, serta dorongan inovasi pembelajaran yang kontekstual; 3) melaksanakan supervisi pembelajaran melalui kunjungan kelas, umpan balik, pendampingan, dan tindak lanjut perbaikan perangkat serta praktik mengajar; 4) memantau kemajuan belajar peserta didik melalui evaluasi hasil belajar, pembahasan capaian, serta program remedial dan pengayaan sebagai dasar perbaikan pembelajaran; dan 5) memelihara iklim belajar positif dengan penguatan disiplin, budaya kolaborasi, komunikasi kerja, serta dukungan pembinaan yang mendorong guru terus berkembang. Faktor pendukung mencakup dukungan komite/orang tua, komitmen guru, forum MGMP sekolah, pemanfaatan potensi lokal sebagai sumber belajar, dan motivasi peserta didik. Secara ilmiah, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi empiris bagi pengembangan praktik kepemimpinan pembelajaran pada konteks SMAN Tiomneri sebagai sekolah menengah atas negeri di Kabupaten Lanny Jaya, Provinsi Papua Pegunungan.

Abstract

Kemampuan memecahkan masalah merupakan aspek penting dalam perkembangan anak usia dini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas permainan tradisional Balogo dalam meningkatkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah anak usia 5–6 tahun. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Penelitian dilakukan di TK IT Dhia El Widad dengan jumlah subjek 30  anak usia 5–6 tahun menggunakan teknik total sampling. Data diperoleh melalui observasi selama pretest, treatment, dan posttest. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar observasi dan dokumentasi yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli, dengan reliabilitas antar-pengamat di atas 75%. Analisis data meliputi analisis deskriptif, uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk, uji N-Gain, dan uji hipotesis Independent Sample T-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permainan Balogo efektif secara signifikan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan memecahkan masalah. (Sig. < 0,001). Efektivitas termasuk kategori tinggi dengan N-Gain 81,88%. Disimpulkan bahwa Balogo mampu mengoptimalkan perkembangan kognitif anak dan layak diterapkan sebagai pembelajaran berbasis kearifan local. Permainan Tradisional Balogo sebagai media bagi guru guna meningkatkan keterampilan problem solving pada anak usia dini terkhusus usia Taman Kanak Kanak.

Abstract

Companies in Indonesia experience high pressure from the government and society who at all times use strict control over organizers. The government uses control tools in the form of supervision with its regulations, while the public uses social media to monitor the behavior of company administrators, both state-owned and private-owned enterprises in Indonesia. This research focuses on the pseudo-transformational leadership style, which they (organizers) claim to be transformational, the difference in claims between the organizers and the government and society is proven by the final results received by the organizers as a result of their actions towards individuals and companies. Research approach/design and methods: An exploratory sequential method research design was used in this research. Qualitative research, data from BUMN annual reports and unstructured interviews with 6 human resource (HR) managers selected purposively. Main findings: This study reveals that the setbacks experienced by state-owned and private enterprises are caused by unethical behavior of leaders, despotic leaders, leaders who are explorative towards employees, greedy nature, acting on personal goals and high moral abandonment

Abstract

The rapid advancement of 21st-century technology necessitates that young children become not only digital consumers but also develop 5C (Creative thinking, Critical thinking, Communication, Collaboration, and Computational thinking). One innovative approach to fostering these abilities is through early exposure to programming. However, in the context of Surakarta, Indonesia, programming learning has not yet been widely or systematically implemented in kindergarten. This study aims to explore the programming practices of children aged 5–6 using ScratchJr, a visual programming application designed specifically for young learners. A qualitative case study method was employed, involving 20 children from a Kindergarten in Surakarta. Data were gathered through direct observation and documentation of children's project outcomes during individual 30-45-minute sessions. Findings revealed that the majority of children were capable of exploring ScratchJr features and constructing basic programming sequences to create animated story projects. The children exhibited high levels of engagement, curiosity, and creativity throughout the activity. Many demonstrated an understanding of debugging and symbolic thinking. Moreover, ScratchJr served as an effective medium to support artistic expression, indicating the development of creativity and cognitive growth through interactive digital experiences. In conclusion, programming activities facilitated by ScratchJr offer a developmentally appropriate and engaging approach to enhancing computational thinking and creativity. The study recommends increased investment in digital infrastructure and professional development for educators to enable the broader implementation of programming in kindergarten for preparing young learners to thrive in an increasingly digital global world.

Abstract

Background: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Common symptoms include dyspnea, chest pain, reduced thoracic expansion, and impaired pulmonary function. This study aimed to identify physiotherapy-related problems among patients with COPD at Respira Hospital Yogyakarta. Subject and Methods: This observational study was conducted from June to August 2025 at the Physiotherapy Outpatient Clinic of Respira Pulmonary Hospital, Yogyakarta. Physiotherapy-related problems were assessed using the modified Medical Research Council (mMRC) Dyspnea Scale, COPD Assessment Test (CAT), thoracic mobility measurements, Visual Analog Scale (VAS), Peak Flow Meter (PFM), and Incentive Spirometer. Results: A total of 102 patients with COPD participated in the study. Most participants were male (60.8%). Grade 2 dyspnea was reported by 50.0% of subjects, while 65.7% had moderate COPD symptoms. Impaired thoracic mobility was observed in 40.2%–47.1% of patients. Chest pain was reported by only one subject. Severe airflow obstruction was found in 60.8% of participants, with a mean peak expiratory flow of 52.08% of the predicted value. Impaired inspiratory capacity was identified in 48.0% of subjects. Conclusion: The main physiotherapy-related problems identified among patients with COPD at Respira Hospital Yogyakarta were dyspnea, COPD symptoms, impaired thoracic mobility, reduced peak expiratory flow, and decreased inspiratory capacity.
