Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) learning model assisted by audiovisual media and to analyze the role of learning styles (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) in students’ news text speaking skills at Madrasah Aliyah. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design. The subjects of this study were 23 eleventh-grade students of class XI IPA 2 at MA NU Nurussalam Kudus. Data were collected through speaking performance tests and learning style questionnaires, which were subsequently analyzed using a paired t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The findings reveal that the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together model significantly improved students’ news text speaking skills, as indicated by an increase in the mean score from 58.04 in the pre-test to 79.69 in the post-test. The results of the paired t-test further confirm this improvement (t = −13.84, Sig. = 0.000). In addition, the ANOVA results show a significant difference in speaking achievement based on students’ learning styles (Sig. = 0.004; p < 0.05), suggesting that the effectiveness of the learning model is influenced by learners’ learning style profiles. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Numbered Heads Together model assisted by audiovisual media is effective in enhancing students’ news text speaking skills, and that speaking instruction should take learning styles into consideration.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian, yaitu mendeskripsikan pola komunikasi interpersonal antara orang tua dan anak dengan memanfaatkan buku cerita legenda Cirebon untuk mengembangkan keterampilan berbicara. Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Setu Kulon, Kecamatan Weru, Kabupaten Cirebon. Sumber data penelitian berasal dari habit forming yang dilakukan narasumber SAR (31 tahun) dan putrinya SNT (3 tahun). Data penelitian adalah penggalan tuturan narasumber dan putrinya. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara tidak terstruktur, pedoman catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi Selanjutnya, data dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan tahapan pengumpulan data lapangan dan tinjauan pustaka, verifikasi data melalui klarifikasi berdasarkan kategori tertentu, interpretasi data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan orang tua dapat menciptakan komunikasi interpersonal melalui interaksi verbal maupun nonverbal secara kontinu. Hubungan positif dapat terlihat dari peran orang tua yang berkontibusi dalam hal pengembangan keterampilan berbicara pada anak. Upayanya, yaitu memanfaatkan buku cerita anak bergambar yang relevan dengan kondisi anak sebagai sarana membangun komunikasi interpersonal. Orang tua pun memberikan arahan atau nasihat melalui tuturan-tuturan yang positif. Dengan demikian, anak merasa nyaman dan mudah mengembangkan keterampilan beribicaranya. Anak menjadi tahu nama-nama benda dan warna. Selain itu, memantik anak pula untu mengungkapkan perasaan maupun pikirannya dalam tuturan yang sederhana. Adapun praktik komunikasi interpersonal secara konsisten sebelum tidur ternyata tidak hanya membuat anak komunikatif, tapi juga menjadi antusias dan membentuk kepribadian.

Abstract

AbstractThe limited integration of local cultural values and religious moderation in elementary education has hindered the development of students’ character and their understanding of diversity. Although Indonesia possesses rich cultural heritage embedded in regional folklore, these stories are often underutilized as pedagogical resources for fostering tolerance, mutual respect, and harmonious interfaith relations. This study aims to describe the condition of cultural literacy in elementary schools, identify Cirebon folk tales that contain religious moderation values, and examine the implementation of cultural literacy strengthening. Using a qualitative descriptive design, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that cultural literacy is inconsistently introduced in schools, that Cirebon folk tales such as Azan Pitu, Klenteng Jamblang, Babad Cirebon, and Nadran contain strong moderation values, and that the strengthening of cultural literacy is implemented through the P3 framework, the School Literacy Movement, and Pancasila Student Profile activities. These results highlight the importance of utilizing local folklore as a culturally grounded medium for cultivating national commitment, tolerance, non-violence, and cultural accommodation among young learners.Keywords: folklore, cultural literacy, religious moderation. AbstrakIntegrasi nilai-nilai budaya lokal dan moderasi agama yang terbatas dalam pendidikan dasar telah menghambat perkembangan karakter siswa dan pemahaman mereka terhadap keragaman. Meskipun Indonesia memiliki warisan budaya yang kaya yang tertanam dalam folklore regional, cerita-cerita ini seringkali kurang dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber daya pedagogis untuk menumbuhkan toleransi, saling menghormati, dan hubungan antaragama yang harmonis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kondisi literasi budaya di sekolah dasar, mengidentifikasi dongeng-dongeng Cirebon yang mengandung nilai-nilai moderasi agama, dan mengkaji implementasi penguatan literasi budaya. Dengan desain deskriptif kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi data, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi budaya diperkenalkan secara tidak konsisten di sekolah, bahwa dongeng-dongeng Cirebon seperti Azan Pitu, Klenteng Jamblang, Babad Cirebon, dan Nadran mengandung nilai-nilai moderasi yang kuat, serta bahwa penguatan literasi budaya dilaksanakan melalui kerangka kerja P3, Gerakan Literasi Sekolah, dan kegiatan Profil Siswa Pancasila. Hasil ini menyoroti pentingnya memanfaatkan folklore lokal sebagai media yang berakar pada budaya untuk menumbuhkan komitmen nasional, toleransi, non-kekerasan, dan akomodasi budaya di kalangan pelajar muda.Kata kunci: cerita rakyat, literasi budaya, moderasi agama.

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum requires elementary school teachers to apply differentiated instruction in order to accommodate students’ diverse learning needs and characteristics. However, in practice, teachers continue to encounter various challenges in integrating this approach. This study aims to describe the challenges faced by elementary school teachers in implementing differentiated learning within the Merdeka Curriculum. A qualitative case study method was employed, with third-grade teachers at SD Negeri 02 Pedes, Bantul, Yogyakarta, serving as the research subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that teachers have made efforts to implement differentiated learning through content, process, and product differentiation based on diagnostic assessments. Nevertheless, teachers still experience difficulties, including limited understanding of the concept of differentiated learning, diversity in students’ abilities and characteristics, insufficient training and institutional support, limited use of technology, as well as time constraints and administrative workload. These findings suggest that the successful implementation of differentiated learning requires sustained support in the form of enhanced teacher competence, targeted professional development, and the provision of adequate facilities and infrastructure to ensure the optimal and inclusive achievement of the Merdeka Curriculum objectives.

Abstract

Political discourse in Indonesia is currently expanding from the formal sphere to the popular stage through stand-up comedy . This study aims to dissect the mechanism of political reality decomposition through Arthur Asa Berger's humor strategy to reveal political criticism communicated pragmatically. Using a qualitative descriptive design, this study analyzed primary data sources in the form of speeches by stand-up comedians Ridwan Remin, Pandji Pragiwaksono, and Akbar obtained purposively from YouTube channels. Data analysis was conducted using a pragmatic decomposition technique that refers to Berger's four categories of humor techniques: language, logic, identity, and action. The results show that humor strategies operate as instruments of power desacralization. In terms of identity, ideal attributes of leaders are decomposed into trivial labels (caricatures); in terms of language, puns are used to satirize collective corruption; in terms of logic, analogies are used to simplify systemic failures; and in terms of action, visual parodies reduce political rhetoric to ridiculous movements. The conclusion of this study confirms that pragmatic decomposition in stand-up comedy functions as a tool of social control that reduces the complexity of power into a satirical, educational, and critical narrative for society.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mendeskripsikan peran platform Penjaring dalam upaya peningkatan literasi membaca siswa Indonesi pada era society 5.0. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif berupa studi pustaka. Dalam hal ini, peneliti berperan utama sebagai instrumen penelitian. data yang diperoleh, kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan tahapan pengumpulan data lapangan dan tinjauan pustaka, verifikasi data melalui klarifikasi berdasarkan kategori tertentu, interpretasi data, dan penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemerintah Indonesia telah berupaya menyediakan bahan ajar berkualitas dan bervariasi dalam bentuk platform Penjaring yang jumlah buku digitalnya mencapai 1.718. Hadirnya platform ini memiliki konsep bahan bacaan berjenjang sesuai umur pembaca. Terobosan pengadaan platform berbasis AI ini juga memberikan pemerataan distribusi buku yang dibutuhkan anak di seluruh Indonesia. Tantangannya, yaitu pemerintah perlu mensosialisasikan kehadiran Penjaring dan memotivasi siswa maupun orang-orang di sekelilingnya untuk memanfaatkan platform tersebut secara maksimal untuk menunjang kegiatan literasi membaca. Terdapat temuan bahwa jumlah produksi buku digital yang banyak berbanding terbalik dengan jumlah pembaca yang faktanya buku di Penjaring ada yang memiliki jumlah pembaca di bawah 100. Hal ini tentu tugas yang harus dicarikan solusinya. Oleh karena itu, peran segi tiga emas pendidikan sangat dibutuhkan untuk mempromosikan siswa membaca buku digital yang dapat diakses di Penjaring.

Abstract

The phenomenon of stand-up comedy relies heavily on linguistic manipulation to generate laughter. While ambiguity has been studied in various humor contexts, no research has specifically examined how Indonesian stand-up comedians exploit ambiguity within the rule of three structure to trigger disambiguation and create humorous effects. This study aims to analyze the types of ambiguity (lexical, structural, and situational) used in the rule of three pattern, describe the linguistic strategies employed to build and resolve ambiguity, and examine how disambiguation contributes to humor. Using a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach, data were collected from stand-up comedy performances on YouTube, transcribed, and analyzed using relevance theory. The findings reveal that comedians deliberately construct initial expectations in the first two sequences before introducing ambiguity in the third sequence (punchline). This ambiguity forces audiences to disambiguate sociocultural concepts such as educational quality, social piety, and economic status, with successful disambiguation producing laughter. The study concludes that ambiguity in stand-up comedy functions as a precise stylistic instrument for deconstructing conventional logic and social norms. Future research should explore sociolinguistic dimensions affecting disambiguation speed across different audience backgrounds.
