Abstract

Maksuba Cake is a traditional culinary product from Palembang with strong potential as a culinary souvenir. However, limited digital visual promotion hinders its sales growth. This study aims to design a promotional video that highlights the cultural value and visual appeal of Maksuba Cake. The research employed the ADDIE development model: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. A 1-minute-17-second video was produced and published on Palembang Harum’s Instagram. The evaluation by business owners and media experts showed the video was informative, aesthetically appealing, and effective as a digital promotional tool. This strategy is expected to broaden market reach, strengthen product identity, and serve as a reference for promoting local culinary heritage through social media.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Kayu Agung Tax Office and aims to determine: a). An overview of employees' perceptions about cutting performance allowances; b). Description of employee performance and c). The effect of cutting performance allowances on employee performance. This research method uses a quantitative approach with the type of correlation. The variables in this study are the deduction of performance allowances as the independent variable (X) and employee performance as the dependent variable (Y). The population in this study were 82 employees with a sample of 54.9% (45 employees) who were taken using the proportional random sampling technique. The data collection technique used observation and documentation questionnaire techniques. The data obtained as a result of the questionnaire were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics which had previously been tested for analysis requirements. In this study, the results obtained: a) Employees' perceptions regarding the deduction of the performance allowance of the majority strongly agree; b) employee perceptions regarding employee performance, the majority agree; c) There is a significant positive effect between cutting performance allowances on employee performance. Therefore it is advisable to the leadership of the Kayu Agung Tax Office, presumably strive to maintain their performance and even further improve by providing training, briefing and checking work again.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to identify the effect of a tourist attractions, tourist amenities, tourist accessibilities and ancillary services partially and simultaneously towards interest to revisit in Bukit Siguntang, Palembang. This research used a quantitative descriptive approach. This research used descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis.. The sampling technique used in this research is non probability sampling with incidental sampling approach. The sample in this research were the visitors of Bukit Siguntang Palembang with 99 respondents. Based on the T test results, it has known that tourist attractions and ancillary services have positive and significant effect towards interest to revisit in Bukit Siguntang, while tourist amenities and tourist accessibilities have no significant effect on the tourists' revisiting interest. Based on the F test results, it has known that there is a simultaneously significant influence among tourist attractions, tourist amenities, tourist accessibilities and ancillary services to the tourists' revisiting interest. The better a tourist attraction have, the bigger tourists' revisiting interest will be at Bukit Siguntang Palembang.

Abstract

Brand awareness and brand image are very important in the business world, because they can invite and encourage consumers to buy and use the products or services offered by the company. This study analyzes these two factors in influencing the decision to purchase flight tickets in Palembang City. The sample in this study were 30 consumers who purchased flight tickets on Traveloka.com in Palembang during January 2020 - June 2020. The sampling technique used was non probability sampling with a purposive sampling approach. This study found that brand awareness has a significant effect on purchasing decisions, while brand image has no significant effect on purchasing decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) analyze the leadership strategies of school principals, 2) the programs designed and implemented by school principals, and 3) the aspects that support and hinder school principals' leadership in improving teacher professionalism through strengthening digital competencies at SMPN 1 and SMPN 3 Tualang. This study uses a qualitative research method. The subjects of this study were principals, teachers, and school operators at SMPN 1 and SMPN 3 Tualang. The results showed that: (1) the principal of SMPN 1 Tualang applied a supportive approach that encouraged collaboration among teachers, while the principal of SMPN 3 Tualang emphasized an administrative approach; (2) the teacher digital competency development program at SMPN 1 Tualang is implemented through training and workshops, while at SMPN 3 Tualang, despite efforts to provide technological assistance, limited facilities and a lack of ongoing technical support limit the effectiveness of technology implementation in learning; and (3) the main challenge at SMPN 1 Tualang is the digital skills gap among teachers, especially senior teachers who feel pressured to master technology, while at SMPN 3 Tualang, an additional challenge is the high administrative burden, which limits teachers' time and energy to participate in training programs.

Abstract

Palm sugar (Arenga pinnata Merr.) is a natural sweetener with the potential to be developed as an alternative to white sugar due to its distinctive sensory characteristics and its reported lower glycemic index. However, quantitative data on the glycemic index of various forms of palm sugar products remain limited. This study aims to analyze the in vitro glycemic index of various palm sugar products, namely liquid sugar, molded sugar, and granulated palm sugar, and to compare them with white sugar as a reference. Additionally, the study also evaluates the chemical characteristics (moisture content and ash content) and organoleptic properties of each product. The glycemic index determination was performed using an in vitro method based on enzymatic digestion simulation and the calculation of the area under the curve (AUC) of glucose release, with glucose serving as the reference food. The results of the study indicate that all palm sugar products have a low glycemic index, namely 39 for liquid sugar, 37 for molded sugar, and 35 for granulated palm sugar, while white sugar has a moderate glycemic index of 60. The differences in glycemic index values are related to variations in sugar composition, mineral content, and the physical characteristics of each product. Organoleptic testing showed that palm sugar, particularly granulated palm sugar, received good acceptance for its color, aroma, taste, and texture. Overall, the results of this study demonstrate that palm sugar has the potential to serve as a low-glycemic index alternative sweetener, supporting the development of downstream palm sugar products and the diversification of healthier food options.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Language is a term we know very well in our lives and has an important role in society to convey a message or meaning to audience between community members exchange opinions and interact with each other with variations of language and dialect. Language and society are two terms we can find in sociolinguistics. Sociolinguistics conclusions consist of three things, language, society and the relationship between language and society. In addition, the level of education, social status or profession is very important also to the use code. Often the language code that covers these things becomes the main cause of someone choosing the appropriate words in establishing the communication. In addition to the issues of code switching, code mixing, and bilingualism. This research used code switching as the theory from Hoffman (1991). The purpose of this study was to investigate the types and the reasons of code switching uttered in Dior and I film . The study used descriptive qualitative design. The subject used in this study was Dior and I film, the scene of Dior and I film and the object is the main character in Dior and I film of the collected data related. Based on the result of this research, it is found that there are three types of code switching in Dior and I film by Hoffman (1991), such as inter-sentential switching, intra-sentential switching and emblematic/tag switching. It was clear that inter-sentential switching was more frequently types found in Dior and I film. In addition, the researcher also finds that the reasons code switching in Dior and I film by theory Hoffman (1991) are such as talking about a particular topic, quoting somebody else, being empathic about something, interjection, repetition used for clarification, intention of clarifying the speech content for the interlocutor and expressing group identity. It was clear that talking particular a topic was more frequently reasons found in Dior and I film. Keywords: sociolinguistics, code, code switching, Dior and I film, documentary film  ABSTRAK Bahasa adalah istilah yang kita kenal sangat baik dalam kehidupan kita dan memiliki peran penting dalam masyarakat untuk menyampaikan pesan atau makna kepada audiens antara anggota komunitas bertukar pendapat dan berinteraksi satu sama lain dengan variasi bahasa dan dialek. Bahasa dan masyarakat adalah dua istilah yang dapat kita temukan dalam sosiolinguistik. Kesimpulan sosiolinguistik terdiri dari tiga hal, bahasa, masyarakat dan hubungan antara bahasa dan masyarakat. Selain itu, tingkat pendidikan, status sosial atau profesi sangat penting juga untuk menggunakan kode. Seringkali kode bahasa yang mencakup hal-hal ini menjadi penyebab utama seseorang memilih kata-kata yang tepat dalam membangun komunikasi. Selain masalah alih kode, pencampuran kode, dan bilingualisme. Penelitian ini menggunakan alih kode sebagai teori dari Hoffman (1991). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki jenis dan alasan pengalihan kode yang diucapkan dalam film Dior dan saya. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif kualitatif. Subyek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Dior and I film, ujaran pada Dior and I dan objeknya adalah karakter utama yang terkait pada Dior and I film. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, ditemukan bahwa ada tiga jenis kode switching di Dior and I difilmkan oleh Hoffman (1991), seperti inter-sentential switching, switching intra-sentential dan emblematic / tag switching. Sudah jelas bahwa peralihan antar-sentimen lebih sering ditemukan dalam film Dior and I. Selain itu, peneliti juga menemukan alasan dilakukannya pengalihan kode dalam Dior and I film menurut teori Hoffman (1991) adalah seperti berbicara tentang topik tertentu, mengutip orang lain, bersikap empatik tentang sesuatu, penolakan, pengulangan yang digunakan untuk klarifikasi, maksud mengklarifikasi konten pidato untuk teman bicara dan mengekspresikan identitas kelompok. Abstract

Kuat tekan dinding pasangan bata merupakan parameter penting dalam perencanaan struktur bangunan dan dipengaruhi oleh kuat tekan bata satuan serta interaksi antara bata dan spesi. Namun, hubungan antara kuat tekan bata satuan dan kuat tekan dinding pasangan bata masih sangat bergantung pada karakteristik material dan metode konstruksi yang digunakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan kuat tekan bata satuan dan kuat tekan dinding pasangan bata melalui studi eksperimental menggunakan material lokal. Pengujian tekan dilakukan terhadap beberapa sampel bata satuan untuk memperoleh nilai kuat tekan rata-rata, sedangkan satu spesimen dinding pasangan bata skala penuh diuji di bawah beban aksial hingga mengalami keretakan dan keruntuhan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bata satuan memiliki variasi kualitas yang cukup signifikan, dengan nilai kuat tekan rata-rata sebesar 134,70 kg/cm², yang mencerminkan ketidakseragaman kualitas bata merah lokal akibat proses produksi tradisional. Pengujian dinding pasangan bata menunjukkan bahwa retak mulai terjadi pada kuat tekan sebesar 182,78 kg/cm² dengan deformasi rata-rata dinding sebesar 1,57 cm. Pola keruntuhan didominasi oleh retak vertikal dan retak sepanjang sambungan spesi, yang mengindikasikan bahwa mekanisme keruntuhan dinding sangat dipengaruhi oleh interaksi antara bata dan spesi. Hasil penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kinerja tekan pasangan bata tidak dapat dinilai hanya berdasarkan kuat tekan bata satuan, serta memberikan pemahaman awal yang dapat digunakan sebagai referensi untuk perencanaan dan penelitian lanjutan

Abstract

This study aims to formulate an integrative decision-making model based on Islamic values to improve the quality of Islamic school governance. Through a systematic literature review of publications from 2020 to 2025, this study identifies the gap between modern managerial approaches and the integration of religious values in decision-making practices in Islamic schools. The findings show that the quality of decisions depends on the balance between technical rationality and moral orientation based on the principles of shura, amanah, 'adl, and maslahah. The resulting model includes five stages: preparation and agenda setting, data collection and analysis, deliberation and consensus, value-based implementation, and evaluation and spiritual reflection. Each stage is designed to ensure that technical and value aspects go hand in hand, resulting in inclusive, fair, and maslahah-oriented policies. The study also identified implementation challenges, including weak documentation of deliberations, low data utilization, uneven value leadership capacity, and the dominance of administrative orientation. This integrative model offers a practical framework for Islamic school leaders in formulating policies that are both managerially effective and in line with religious identity, thereby fostering an educational environment that shapes the character and achievements of students holistically
