Abstract

This research aims to see the effectiveness of implementing equality education programs at the Jakarta Class II Special Child Development Institute (LPKA) in terms of the context, input, process and product of the equality education program. This research is descriptive qualitative research using evaluation research methods with the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model in the implementation of equality education programs at LPKA Class II Jakarta. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews and documentation which was then processed using data reduction techniques, data presentation and conclusions. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the implementation of equality education at LPKA Class II Jakarta has been running well and is in accordance with the standards for implementing equality education for Package A, Package B and Package C programs, Directorate of Community Guidance and Child Eradication, Directorate General of Corrections, Ministry of Law and Human Rights, Republic of Indonesia. Indonesia.

Abstract

The need for innovation in the development of teaching materials is increasingly urgent with the advancement of information and communication technologies. In an effort to improve the quality of learning, an approach based on artificial intelligence has become a highlight in modern education. This article deals with a community service project that aims to provide support in the development of AI-based teaching materials to educators. This includes training in the use of AI, the integration of technology into the learning process, and the creation of content that matches the curriculum needs. With the help of this accompaniment, educators can harness the potential of AI to improve learning effectiveness and provide a more interesting and relevant learning experience for students. The results of this accompaniment showed that the partners were satisfied with the accompanying. It's also supported ole interaction during very conducive activities. It is expected to make a positive contribution to improving the quality of education at school and college level.

Abstract

This study investigates the language styles used in advertisements for Harper’s Bazaar magazine advertisements. The objective of the current study is to identify the stylistic features of magazine advertisements, particularly the stylistics features to provide valuable insights into how advertisers leverage linguistic and visual techniques to connect with their target audience and convey the essence of their brands. Understanding these stylistic strategies is not only valuable for advertisers and marketers but also for readers and consumers who engage with the content, making it an enriching exploration of the synergy between language, style, and fashion in the context of a prestigious British fashion magazine. The study was descriptive-qualitative and used documentation as the instrument. The data was taken from the September 2019 and April 2020 issues of "Harper's Bazaar Magazine which consisted of 28 advertisements. Content analysis was employed to analyze the language styles of advertisements. The results reveal that noun and noun phrases are the most frequently used in Harper’s Bazaar magazine. It also found  figurative language, straightforward language, and emotive terms to accomplish their goals. This study contributes to the understanding of language styles in advertising and provides insights into the role of language in promoting products and shaping consumer behavior.

Abstract

Educational autonomy is intended as the granting of several authorities in management education to the regions, without neglecting the authority of the Center and national standardization. The added value of educational autonomy can be seen from the independence of human resources in the regions in managing education, local people can feel the results of development education in the area in accordance with the needs and conditions of the region. that negative effect may be a minus value for the possible implementation of educational autonomy the occurrence of regional arrogance, which is caused by the striking differences between the various regions which exists. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of regional autonomy in terms of education. This research method was carried out through a qualitative approach using library research methods with data sources referring to literature data. The results of the study show that the local government has implemented regional autonomy in the field of education in accordance with the mandate of the law, but in the field process there are still many obstacles that need to be corrected, irregularities in its realization are things that must be considered. be watched out for, so that the realization of community participation in developing the country through educational institutions also needs to be monitored and evaluated, to look for the advantages and disadvantages. In addition, the implementation of the regional autonomy policy still requires improvement to achieve the expected aims and objectives.

Abstract

Menyebarluasnya kekerasan dan penurunan moral bangsa telah menciptakan gejala kerusuhan sebagai fenomena sosial. Fenomena sosial ini menjadi masalah umum yang memerlukan perhatian dari berbagai pihak, terutama dalam konteks relevansi pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan karakter berfokus pada pembentukan dan pengembangan moralitas. Pendidikan karakter menjadi kebutuhan mendesak yang harus diperhatikan oleh semua pihak. Penanaman pendidikan karakter pada siswa memiliki peranan yang krusial dalam dunia pendidikan. Pendidikan nilai berbasis karakter sebagai solusi untuk mengatasi defisit pendidikan yang ada saat ini. Merosotnya moralitas pemuda-pemudi Indonesia, terutama pada kalngan siswa, menjadi faktor pentingnya penyelenggaraan internalisasi nilai karakter. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi literatur. Temuan analisis menunjukkan bahwa internalisasi nilai pendidikan karakter sudah dan akan terus digaungkan oleh lembaga pendidikan, baik itu pendidikan formal maupun nonformal. Ada berbagai program internalisasi nilai pendidikan karakter yang dapat diterapkan oleh lembaga pendidikan. Karena itu, hasil penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi oleh actor pengambilan keputusan di lembaga pendidikan, pendidik, serta orang tua siswa dalam menginternalisasikan nilai-nilai tersebut di lingkungan masing-masing sebagai upaya pencegahan dan pengurangan kasus-kasus yang tidak sesuai dengan harapan

Abstract

This study aims to obtain information on the implementation of e-learning in Education Basic Courses (MKDK) at State University of Jakarta. The study was conducted at the Faculty of Education from May through November 2012. The population of the study covered lecturers and students of MKDK and the samples were selected by proportional purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using questionnaire and supported by interview guide. The results show that majority of the lecturers implement e-learning by using laptops and LCD, majority of the faculty do not use CD and OHP as teaching aids, hotspot network availability and the access very poor in almost all buildings, e-learning greatly assists students to understand the course material, almost all of the students have laptops and modems to support the lecture, most of the students use mobile phones to access the course material, and e-learning can facilitate students to access material unhindered by time and place, more efficiently, easily, quickly and effectively. The students need e-learning using blog / skype / youtube supported by professional lecturers, learning should be easily accessible and not boring.

Abstract

The quality of education, based on the results of the PISA study, shows a lag compared to other countries. Efforts to improve this quality through the National Assessment (AN) program still need to overcome various obstacles, especially in implementation and follow-up. This study aims to evaluate strategies to optimize AN implementation, identify solutions to the challenges faced, explore school programs that support students facing AN, and analyze school follow-up on AN results. This study used a qualitative approach with an evaluative descriptive design. The research subjects comprised teachers, principals, and vice principals, as well as 15 students from various levels taken as samples to represent the school population. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation using instruments like interview guidelines and observation sheets. Data analysis was conducted using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-drawing techniques, with triangulation of methods and sources as data validation. The results showed that AN optimization strategies include strategic planning, improving teacher competence, and utilizing digital technology. Solutions for implementation constraints include improving infrastructure and intensive training for teachers. School programs that support students include intensive guidance and assessment simulations. In conclusion, AN can be optimized by strengthening planning, training, and technical support. The implication of this research is the need for sustainable policies to improve the readiness of schools and teachers to face AN.

Abstract

Character education is very important to instill good character in someone. The character that is suitable for solving problems in the era of disruption 4.0 is a lead character that can be applied to students through the education level. The Leader in Me (LIM) program is one of the programs that function to shape the character of students to become leaders by instilling disciplinary values so that students can excel and compete in the 21st century with one of its programs, namely the Widely Individual Goal (WIG). The purpose of this study is to want to know in depth about the Leader in me program on the Widely Individual Goal (WIG) in shaping student leadership character. This research was conducted at SD Yasporbi I using a qualitative research approach using the case study method. The time of this research started from November 2022 to May 2023 with data collection techniques namely participatory observation, interviews, and documentation obtained from several informants, namely the principal, deputy principal, LIM president, students, teachers, and parents of students. The results of this research are in forming the character of student leadership, SD Yasporbi I through the Leader in me program. Developing several goals which are divided into three, including School WIG, Teachers, and Students. The three WIGs are integrated with each other so that they become an effective way to shape student leadership character.

Abstract

This research examines the transparency of the School Operational Assistance (BOS) Fund management at SMP Negeri 230 Jakarta, about Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. A qualitative methodology is employed to gain an in-depth understanding of the planning, implementation, and accountability processes of the BOS fund. The findings indicate that the planning and implementation stages of the BOS fund at SMP Negeri 230 Jakarta have been conducted effectively. This is evidenced by the school's readiness to manage the fund and positive evaluation results. Nevertheless, further enhancements are required in the accountability domain, particularly regarding the transparency of information regarding the allocation and utilization of the BOS fund to all relevant parties. This research offers insights into enhancing BOS fund management effectiveness in schools and other relevant stakeholders.

Abstract

Sekolah sebagai salah satu bentuk organisasi pada bidang pendidikan tidak luput dari perlunya melakukan administrasi sekolah. Dalam pelaksanaannya kegiatan administrasi sekolah khususnya pada sekolah swasta sampai saat ini masih dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah yang dibantu dengan staf adminstrasi sekolah yang ditunjuk. Padahal mereka secara resmi tidak dibekali oleh ilmu tentang administrasi sekolah atau perkantoran. Nampaknya, salah satu upaya yang diduga paling tepat adalah berfokus pada unsur para Kepala Sekolah sebagai pelaksana kegiatan administrasi sekolah yang tentunya tanpa mengabaikan unsur-unsur yang lainnya. Kemungkinan yang terjadi jika mereka tidak memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang cukup tentang kegiatan administrasi ini dan tidak adanya tenaga khusus yang menangani kegiatan sekolah seperti pegawai administrasi, maka para kepala sekolah kemungkinan besar akan mengalami banyak kesulitan dalam menangani segala bentuk admistrasi sekolah pada semua bidang seperti surat menyurat yang diperlukan dan kearsipan sekolah. Melalui upaya peningkatan kemampuan dalam melaksanakan kegiatan administrasi sekolah kepada para Kepala Sekolah dan Tenaga Administrasi Sekolah, diharapkan mereka dapat menerapkan dan memberi pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang pelaksanaan kegiatan administrasi sekolah khususnya dalam korespondensi dan kearsipan sekolah pada para Tenaga Administrasi Sekolah di sekolahnya masing-masing. Dengan dilakukannya administrasi sekolah yang baik maka diharapkan mutu sekolah akan terealisasi. Upaya peningkatan kemampuan Kepala Sekolah dan Tenaga Administrasi Sekolah dalam melaksanakan kegiatan administrasi sekolah dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai jenis upaya. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan adalah diberikan pendampingan tentang kemampuan melakukan penyelenggaraan administrasi sekolah secara sistematis, yaitu melatih keterampilan korespondensi dan kearsipan yang berisi semua data-data dari setiap komponen sekolah. Bentuk kegiatan adalah pendampingan berupa workshop yang dirancang selama dua hari.
