Abstract

Low scientific literacy occurs in students at SDN Mojoroto 1. The cause is also the same as the general problems that occur in Indonesia. Based on this, a learning approach is needed that can improve students' abilities optimally, both in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. One approach that is considered effective in improving student learning outcomes is Problem-Based Learning (PBL). This study uses PTK (Classroom Action Research). The application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model to fourth grade students of SDN Mojoroto 1 significantly improves learning outcomes. This is indicated by an increase in the average student score from cycle I of 28.3 to 53.1 in cycle II, and finally reaching 84.8 in cycle III, with a percentage increase in learning outcomes between cycles of 24.8% and 31.7%. The N-gain test which obtained a percentage of 78.2% showed that the PBL model was in the effective category. This success was strengthened through reflection and improvement from the previous cycle, which made the implementation of PBL in cycle II more optimal with a success rate of 100%. The PBL model has been proven to improve student understanding, activeness in learning, and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Junior high school students in Indonesia consistently face systemic challenges in their mathematical reasoning skills, leading to consistently poor performance on international tests like PISA. This enduring educational disparity underscores an immediate need for pedagogical reforms that transcend rote memorization and promote approaches that foster cognitive adaptability. Our study was driven by the need to evaluate and compare the efficacy of three prominent student-centered frameworks: Problem-Based Learning (PBL), Creative Problem Solving (CPS), and Problem Posing, in enhancing students' reasoning outcomes. Our study utilized a quasi-experimental design featuring a post-test-only control group. The sample consisted of 93 seventh-grade students from Bandar Lampung. The data underwent statistical testing because the CPS group exhibited a non-normal distribution, as determined by preliminary normality testing (Sig. = 0.000). Therefore, the non-parametric Kruskal-Wallis Test was employed to ensure analytical integrity. The findings revealed a statistically significant disparity in reasoning achievement across the three experimental groups (Asymp.Sig. = 0.006). Detailed pairwise comparisons using the Bonferroni correction demonstrated that while PBL and CPS yielded comparable results (Adj.Sig. = 1.000), likely due to their shared reliance on structured problem-solving foundations, the Problem Posing model emerged as the most potent intervention. It significantly outperformed both PBL (Adj. Sig. = 0.007) and CPS (Adj. Sig. = 0.035). This superiority stems from the unique cognitive demands of problem-solving, which necessitate that students engage in thorough, divergent thinking and careful structural analysis of mathematical concepts. This model enhances metacognitive skills essential for advanced reasoning by transforming students' roles from problem solvers to creators. This study recommends problem posing as a core approach for educators aiming to improve students' mathematical reasoning. Keywords: mathematical reasoning, problem posing, problem-based learning, creative problem solving.

Abstract

Muhammadiyah education management integrates progressive Islamic values and modern management principles in managing educational institutions from elementary to tertiary level. Muhammadiyah is oriented not only toward academic achievement, but also toward the development of student’s character and faith. This study employs a literature review method by analyzing books, official documents, and journal articles relevant to Muhammadiyah education management. The review discusses philosophical foundations, organizational structure, management implementation, as well as challenges and innovations, including adaptation to technological developments and global dynamics. The findings indicate that Muhammadiyah education management is able to integrate Islamic values with professionalism, however, it still faces challenges related to the quality of human resources, quality standards, and the utilization of information technology. Therefore, strengthening management training and educational digitalization is recommended to ensure that Muhammadiyah educational institutions remain relevant and competitive in the future.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of phrase analysis in syntactic studies for understanding the structure and relationships among components within Indonesian sentences. As grammatical units, phrases play a strategic role in shaping meaning, so they should be examined in terms of their constituent elements and their functions in the text. This study aims to analyze the use of adjectival phrases and prepositional phrases found in news texts. The method used is a qualitative descriptive method with observing and note-taking techniques, supported by a syntactic theoretical approach. The findings show that there are twenty-five adjectival phrases and sixty-eight prepositional phrases identified in five news texts published on Tempo.com in August 2025. “lebih cepat” is one example of an adjectival phrase found in the texts, while “ke arah pendemo” is an example of a prepositional phrase. These findings indicate that Indonesian phrases have systematic formation patterns and complementary syntactic functions. This research serves as a useful reference for the development of syntactic studies, linguistic learning, and the analysis of phrase usage in various language contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of TikTok app usage on the politeness of upper-grade elementary school students. The study employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory design using an ex post facto method. The study population was all 66 fourth and fifth-grade students at Cipelang Gede Elementary School. The sampling technique used total sampling, ensuring that the entire population served as respondents. Data collection was conducted using a Likert-scale questionnaire measuring two main variables: TikTok usage and politeness. Data analysis was conducted through descriptive statistics, prerequisite analysis tests, including normality and linearity tests, and hypothesis testing using Pearson correlation and simple linear regression using SPSS version 16 software. The results showed that students' levels of TikTok usage and politeness were moderate. However, the regression test showed that TikTok use had no significant effect on students' politeness (R = 0.113; R² = 0.013; p = 0.367). These findings suggest that social media exposure does not directly determine students' communication behavior. Other factors such as character education, school culture, and parental supervision likely play a more dominant role in shaping students' politeness.

Abstract

The implementation of integrated digital tax administration systems is a key strategy for improving public service quality and tax compliance in Indonesia. As part of this reform, the electronic tax deduction receipt (e-Bupot) 21/26 has been integrated into the Coretax platform and is mandatory for taxpayers. Despite its strategic role, the early implementation of this system has revealed several challenges related to system performance, information reliability, and the availability of user support services, raising concerns about its actual success from the user’s perspective. This study evaluates the success of the e-Bupot 21/26 by applying the DeLone and McLean Information System Success Model in a mandatory use context. The analysis focuses on system quality, information quality, service quality, user satisfaction, and perceived net benefits. Using a quantitative survey, primary data were collected from users who actively use the system for tax withholding and reporting. The findings indicate that system success in a mandatory environment is not determined solely by technical performance but is strongly influenced by reliable information and responsive service support, which enhance user satisfaction and perceived benefits.

Abstract

At Muhammadiyah Bima University, Arabic language learning faces various challenges, ranging from students' diverse levels of understanding, the availability of learning resources, to the teaching methods applied by lecturers. In this context, the diversity of students' level of understanding can be caused by differences in educational background before entering college, previous experience in learning Arabic, and how often they are exposed to Arabic-speaking environments. So this research aims to find out the perceptions of students majoring in Arabic Language Education towards the challenges in understanding Arabic language learning at Muhammadiyah Bima University. This research will be conducted at the University of Muhammadiyah Bima which is located on Jln. Anggrek No. 16 Nae Village, West Rasanae Sub-District, Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara. This research uses Qualitative Research with a Case Study Approach. Data collection techniques are observation, interview and documentation. Data Analysis Techniques are Data Reduction, Data Presentation and Conclusion Drawing. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that students of the Arabic Language Education Department at Muhammadiyah Bima University have various perceptions of the challenges they face in understanding Arabic language learning. Most students realize that learning Arabic has its own level of difficulty, especially in grammatical aspects (qawaid), vocabulary mastery (mufradat), and listening and speaking skills (istima' and kalam). This perception shapes students' attitudes in responding to the learning process, both in terms of learning motivation and the strategies used.
