Abstract

The objective of this study was to find out whether or not there was any significant differences of the tenth graders’ reading comprehension between the students who were taught by using paired reading method and those who are not at SMA Muhammadiyah 01 Palembang. this study's sample consisted of 71 students chosen using a purposive selection approach. they were placed into two groups: experimental and control groups. this study used a quasi-experimental design. the data collection tool was reading comprehension a using paired reading method, which was administered twice to the sample (pretest and posttest). there were 30 valid multiple-choice questions. the test resulted in a two-tailed significant difference (p=0,309) above the significance level (0.05). hence, the hypothesis was accepted, signifying a noteworthy distinction in reading comprehension between students was any significant differences of the tenth graders’ reading comprehension between the students who were taught by using paired reading method and those who are not at SMA Muhammadiyah 01 Palembang, the null hypothesis (ho) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (ha) confirmed. there was a substantial to there was any significant differences of the tenth graders’ reading comprehension between the students who were taught by using paired reading method and those who are not at SMA Muhammadiyah 01 Palembang.

Abstract

Moral education is the main foundation in Islamic teachings and the foundation of belief to be used as a basis for all attitudes and behavior given through parents. Children are a source of happiness and conditioning and the most significant trust Allah SWT gives to every parent in the world. Therefore, children are the responsibility of parents. However, including parents, humans are not immune from mistakes, mistakes, and forgetfulness. Many parents need to remember the responsibility of fulfilling their children's rights. This research is library research that uses various sources of literature as a source of research data. Primary data sources are al-Mawardi's commentary, Al-Nukat Wa Al-'Uyun's interpretation, and Mustafa al-Maraghi's interpretation of al-Maraghi. In contrast, secondary data sources in research are books, articles, magazines, newspapers, or other sources. The results of this study are Al-Maraghi and Al-Mawardi. Both of them were reluctant that a child should be taught to worship Allah alone and not associate anything with Him. Then the responsibility of parents in educating children, according to surah Luqman, is by instilling the concept of believing in Allah by not giving Him glory, believing in the Prophets and Messengers, believing in the Books, obeying Allah by praying and doing good to parents, amar ma'ruf nahi mungkar. Luqman forbade his son not to associate partners with Allah with anything because there is no greater injustice than associating partners with Allah with others. Pendidikan akhlak merupakan fondasi utama dalam ajaran Islam dan dasar-dasar pokok kepercayaan untuk dijadikan pijakan dalam segala sikap dan tingkah lakunya yang diberikan melalui orang tua.Anak sebagai sumber kebahagian dan penyejuk hati, dan amanah terbesar yang Allah swt berikan kepada setiap orang tua di dunia. Karenanya, anak adalah tanggung jawab orang tua. Namun, Manusia tidak luput akan kesalahan, kesilapan dan kelupaan termasuk orang tua. Banyaknya, orang tua yang lupa dengan tanggung jawab dalam menunaikan hak-hak anaknya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kepustakaan (Library research) yang menggunakan berbagai sumber kepustakaan sebagai sumber data penelitian. Sumber data primer adalah buku tafsir al-Mawardi yaitu tafsir Al-Nukat Wa Al-‘Uyun dan tafsir al-Maraghi karangan Mustafa al-Maraghi, Sedangkan Sumber data sekunder dalam penelitian adalah buku, artikel, majalah, surat kabar, atau sumber lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini adalahAl-Maraghi dan Al-Mawardi. Keduanya telah sepakat, bahwa hendaklah seorang anak diajarkan untuk menyembah Allah saja dan tidak menyekutukan-Nya dengan sesuatu apapun. Kemudian tanggung jawab orang tua dalam mendidik anak menurut surah Luqman yaitu dengan cara menanamkan konsep beriman kepada Allah dengan tidak menyukutakn-Nya, beriman kepada Nabi dan Rasul, beriman kepada Kitab-kitab, Ta’at kepada Allah dengan Shalat dan berbuat baik kepada orang tua, amar ma’ruf nahi mungkar, serta Luqman melarang putranya agar tidak menyekutukan Allah dengan sesuatu apapun, karena tidak ada kazhaliman yang lebih besar daripada menyekutukan Allah dengan lainnya.

Abstract

Effective student management is vital for character development in educational settings. At MTs Tahfidz Al-Izzah Mojokerto, the Tahfidz program (Memorizing the Quran) significantly shapes students' academic achievements and moral foundations. This study analyses the planning and implementation of student management through the Tahfidz program. This research examines how student management, supported by the Tahfidz program, is planned and executed at MTs Tahfidz Al-Izzah Mojokerto and impacts students' character development. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method. Research data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation from key stakeholders, including students, teachers, and administrators at the school. The study reveals that student management planning at MTs Tahfidz Al-Izzah starts with precise goal setting aligned with the school's vision and mission. The Tahfidz program is a central component structured with specific activity schedules. Implementation includes student selection via written tests and BTQ, followed by groupings for Tahfidz activities and continuous mentoring. The program effectively fosters students' academic success and strong moral character.  The research suggests that the Tahfidz program could be an effective model for student management in Islamic schools. Future research should explore the long-term impact of this program, identify factors that contribute to its success, and compare it with other character development programs to provide a broader perspective.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze how the Yasinan tradition in MIN 4 Batang Hari contributes to instilling character values in students. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data was obtained through interviews with teachers and students, direct observation, and documentation of Yasinan's activities. The results of the study show that Yasinan activities are an effective means of shaping students' character, such as discipline, order, and other Islamic values. Teachers play a role model in guiding students, but there are several obstacles, such as lack of parental attention and the influence of social media that can affect student behavior. Therefore, synergy is needed between Madrasah and parents to optimize the formation of student character through sustainable religious activities.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan wujud prinsip kerjasama bahasa slang yang digunakan remaja di angkringan kabupaten Ponorogo. Prinsip kerjasama merupakan kajian keilmuan dari pragmatik, terdapat empat jenis prinsip kerjasama menurut Grice yaitu yaitu maksim kuantitas, maksim kualitas, maksim relevansi, dan maksim cara. Bahasa slang merupakan salah satu bentuk variasi bahasa non baku yang digunakan oleh kelompok tertentu, pengguna bahasa slang ini rata-rata di usia remaja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskripsi kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik simak, bebas, libat, dan catat. Peneliti hanya berperan sebagai pengamat penggunaan bahasa oleh para informannya (responden). Sumber data penelitian adalah angkringan kota kabupaten Ponorogo. Data berupa tuturan antar penjual dan pembeli yang menggunakan bahasa slang yang mengandung prinsip kerjasama. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan adanya prinsip kerjasama antar penjual dan pembeli, meliputi Maksim kuantitas (quantity), Maksim kualitas (quality), Maksim relevansi (relation), Maksim cara (manner). Penelitian ini memiliki manfaat untuk penelitian pragmatik khususnya prinsip kerjasama bahasa slang/gaul.

Abstract

Waste is one of the most pressing environmental problems and challenges in Indonesia, especially in coastal areas. One of the areas facing this problem is Cemare Hamlet in South Lembar Village, West Lombok Regency. Waste Education can be one of the solutions in dealing with waste problems from an early age. Waste education activities carried out by Thematic KKN students aim to instill awareness about environmental cleanliness from an early age to children. The methods used in the waste management education program in Cemare Hamlet include field observations, preparation and implementation of waste education activities, management of plastic waste and clean up activities. The results of waste education activities in Cemare Coastal Literacy show a positive impact on children's understanding and concern for the environment. Waste management activities produce creative waste magazines with the theme of protecting the environment that utilize waste such as bottle caps, plastic food wrappers, used paper, and straws. Waste education activities in Cemare Hamlet succeeded in raising children's awareness about the importance of keeping the environment clean. This initiative shows that structured environmental education can have a positive impact in shaping environmental care behavior from an early age.

Abstract

Desa Persiapan Empol has natural potential in the form of mangrove ecosystems, fish ponds, and salt, which can be integrated into environmental-based learning. To optimize learning and the understanding of children about local potential while also improving their English proficiency, a contextual and interactive educational approach is needed. This program aims to improve the English competency of children aged 7-13 years and foster an environmental love through learning based on the village’s natural potential. The activities involve socialization and practical methods conducted in the Bertong, Madak, and Empol hamlets. The results of the activities show an improvement in the children's English skills, particularly in speaking and descriptive writing, as well as an increase in their awareness of the importance of environmental preservation. This program also introduces the village's natural resources as valuable assets that need to be preserved, helping children understand the ecological and economic value of local resources

Abstract

Thalassemia is a chronic hemolytic disease caused by a genetic disorder inherited in an autosomal recessive manner. Thalassemia is characterized by a decrease or reduction in the production of globin chains, causing erythrocytes to become fragile, and results in various degress. Thalassemia sufferers need regular blood transfusions throughout their lives, which results in a buildup or excess of iron, causing disruption in the function of the body’s organs, ane of which is the liver. Ferritin is needed to see excess or storage of iron in the body, while AST and ALT are needed to describe damage the liver function due to iron accumulation. This study aims to determine the correlation between ferritin levels with AST and ALT in thalassemia β major patient in RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo for the period January-March 2024. The method of research is a correlative analytical study with total MR data is 102 thalassemia β major patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria using the Spearman correlation test. The result of this research, the average ferritin level was 8080.44 μg/L, the average AST level was 49.23 U/L and the avarage ALT level was 44.05 U/L. The results of the Spearman correlation test showed a correlation between ferritin levels and AST (p=0.000) with a positive direction (r=0.414) and ferritin between ALT (p=0.000) with a positive direction (r=0.415) with significance (α= 5%) in thalassemia β major patient in RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo. From this research, it is clear that thalasemia β major patients should continue to run for reduce the level of morbidity and mortality.

Abstract

Coronary Heart Disease (CHD) is a disorder of heart function due to a lack of blood in the heart muscle due to narrowing or blockage of the coronary arteries caused by atherosclerosis. This occurs when the heart muscle's supply of oxygen-rich blood is blocked by plaque in the blood vessels leading to the heart blood or coronary arteries. Warfarin is an anticoagulant that is strongly associated with bleeding in CHD. The laboratory examination that is often used to measure prothrombin time and as anticoagulant therapy to detect bleeding disorders is INR (International Normalized Ratio). This study aims to determine the comparison of INR results before and after heparin warfarin therapy in coronary heart disease patients at Atma Jaya Hospital. The method of this research is cross sectional descriptive analysis using 39 RM data from CHD patients who have met the inclusion and exclusion criteria using the Wilcoxon test. These results showed that the average INR value before therapy was 1.849 per second, the average INR value after therapy was 1.316 per second. The Wilcoxon test results showed a difference between INR values ​​before and after therapy (p=0.000) with significance (α=<0.05) in patients on heparin warfarin therapy at Atma Jaya Hospital. From this research, it is hoped that CHD patients will continue to undergo therapy to prevent hemostasis disorders and to avoid the risk of bleeding which can cause death. Abstract

Phytochemical screening of Suji (Pleomele angustifolia) extract has been conducted. The aim of this research is to identify compounds and determine the antioxidant activity of suji  extract. The method used is laboratory experiments for phytochemical screening and antioxidant activity testing. This research consists of 2 (two) stages. The first stage aims to obtain extract of suji by using ethanol plus ethyl acetate and the second stage is carried out to test the content of secondary metabolite compounds using phytochemical tests and determine the antioxidant activity of extract of suji using the DPPH method. The extract of suji positively contains terpenoids, whereas flavonoid and  alkaloids are detetcted in a significant number. The DPPH test results obtained the equation y = 0.3492x + 12,059, indicating that the antioxidant activity of suji extract of  is classified as moderate as the IC50 value of the extract of suji is108,65 ppm
