Abstract

This research was motivated by the low level of motivation of students to learn. Based on the results of observations, there are eight students with low learning motivation criteria and ten students with moderate learning motivation level criteria. Based on this, the research aims to increase the learning motivation of fourth-grade students in Natural and Social Sciences subjects. The Kemmis & Taggart spiral model includes this research in classroom action research. The data collection techniques in this study include observation and FGD (Focus Group Discussion). The research was conducted collaboratively with field supervisors and class teachers. Based on the results of the FGD, an agreement was obtained to use paper mode quizizz media to solve the problem of increasing students' low learning motivation. The research was carried out through pre-cycle, cycle 1, and cycle 2. One cycle includes planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were fourth-grade students of SDN 1 Manislor, totaling 17 people. In pre-cycle research, the percentage obtained was 50% and increased by 84% in cycle 2. Based on these percentage results, the use of paper-based quizizz media can increase the learning motivation of fourth-grade students of SDN 1 Manislor

Abstract

In addition to maximizing profits, companies also try to maintain business continuity by protecting the environment from damage due to operational activities. The activities of energy sector companies are directly related to natural resources so that they have high sensitivity to the environment. This study aims to examine the effect of eco-efficiency and environmental disclosure on the financial performance of energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2019-2022 period. This research is a quantitative descriptive study using secondary data in the form of annual reports and corporate sustainability reports obtained from the official websites of the observed companies and the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample in this study was selected based on the purposive sampling method which resulted in 16 observed companies with a total of 64 observation data. This study used stakeholder theory and legitimacy theory. Based on the research results, it was found that eco-efficiency, environmental disclosure, and firm size control variables simultaneously affect the company's financial performance proxied by return on assets (ROA). Furthermore, eco-efficiency negatively affects the company's financial performance and environmental disclosure positively affects the company's financial performance.

Abstract

The phenomenon of environmental damage has now become a common problem. Most of the environmental damage that occurs is caused by industrial production activities. Greenpeace Indonesia revealed that the results of investigations related to coal mining activities in East Kalimantan Province have damaged the natural landscape and disrupted water and soil quality. Based on data released by the Mining Advocacy Network or JATAM, as much as 44% of the land in Indonesia has been granted for around 8,588 mining business permits. The concept of a sustainability report is currently one of the concepts that has emerged to help companies convey the responsibilities they have undertaken to commit to sustainable economic development. Apart from that, it is important for companies to implement good corporate governance because it can encourage the creation of markets that are efficient, transparent and consistent with statutory regulations. By disclosing sustainability reports and implementing good corporate governance as a form of company responsibility towards stakeholders and the environment, it is hoped that this will have a good impact on the company because it can increase stakeholder trust and will influence the company's stock return level. The sample selection in this study used a purposive sampling method. Sustainability reports are measured by analyzing the GRI G4 Guidelines report with 91 items. Good corporate governance in this research is proxied by independent commissioners, audit committees and foreign ownership. The results of this research show that economic aspects, social aspects, environmental aspects, independent commissioners, audit committees and foreign ownership have no effect on stock returns.

Abstract

In conducting their business activities, companies should not only focus on generating profits but also consider the environmental impact caused by their business processes. This is particularly important for companies in the energy sector, which are considered to have a high risk of environmental damage. This study aims to examine the effect of environmental cost and environmental disclosure on competitive advantage. The data used in this study are energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2018-2022. Through the purposive sampling method, 37 companies were obtained with a total of 185 observation samples. Based on the result, it was found that environmental cost and environmental disclosure simultaneously affects the competitive advantage proxied by return on invested capital (ROIC). Furthermore, environmental cost negatively affects on competitive advantage and environmental disclosure positively affects on competitive advantage.

Abstract

Sustainability and innovation are investment activities as part of a business strategy that needs to be implemented to strengthen the company's position and maximize company performance. The manufacturing sector is a vital sector for the country, but in its operations, much attention is still needed to its impact on the environment and society. This study aims to examine the influence of ESG disclosure and R&D intensity on the financial performance of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the period 2020-2023. This research is a quantitative descriptive study using secondary data in the form of annual reports and sustainability reports obtained from the official websites of the sample companies and the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample in this study was selected using purposive sampling, resulting in 14 sample companies with a total of 42 observations. This study uses stakeholder theory, legitimacy theory, and signaling theory. Based on the research results, it was found that ESG disclosure and R&D intensity simultaneously affect the company's financial performance, proxied by the return on assets (ROA) ratio. Furthermore, environmental disclosure, social disclosure, and governance disclosure do not affect the company's financial performance, and R&D intensity has a positive effect on the company's financial performance.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of institutional ownership, managerial ownership, independent board of commissioners, audit committee, and bondholders-shareholders conflict on property and real estate companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018-2022. This research is a type of quantitative research using secondary data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange and the official website of each company. The sample determination method used purposive sampling and obtained a sample of 23 companies with an observation period of 5 years so that the total research sample was 111 data. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression using SPSS 27 software. Based on the research results, it was found that institutional ownership, managerial ownership, independent board of commissioners, audit committee and bondholders-shareholders conflict simultaneously affect accounting conservatism. Partially, the independent board of commissioners has a positive effect on accounting conservatism and the audit committee has a negative effect on accounting conservatism. However, this study did not find any influence between the variables of institutional ownership, managerial ownership, and bondholders-shareholders conflict on accounting conservatism.

Abstract

This research aims to empirically prove the influence of human resource competence and the use of information technology on the quality of financial reports. The population in this study were all BUMDes supervisors in Lampung province totaling 212 BUMDes units. The sample for this research was 138 people who supervise BUMDes. This research method uses quantitative methods. The data analysis technique for this research uses multiple linear regression analysis and analysis tools using SPSS 25. The results of human resource competency and the use of information technology partially influence the quality of BUMDes finansial.

Abstract

Agriculture is the main livelihood of residents in Sempu Village, Ngancar District, Kediri Regency. Agriculture in this region has a high level of disaster risk because it is located in the disaster-prone area of Mount Kelud. The potential for damage to agricultural land due to the Kelud volcanic eruption will increase the vulnerability of farmers. Vulnerability assessment is important because one of the efforts to reduce disaster risk is to reduce vulnerability. Vulnerability assessments are often carried out on heterogeneous societal subjects and not based on specific subjects or professions. In fact, farmers are a profession that is more vulnerable than other professions and have various characteristics that can influence vulnerability. Therefore, this research aims to examine socio-economic vulnerability with a greater focus on farmers to find out how vulnerable farmers in Sempu Village are and what characteristics farmers are most vulnerable to. This research uses scoring and weighting methods using AHP (analytical hierarchy process) to analyze data and survey methods to collect data. The results of the vulnerability assessment show that 77% of farmers in Sempu Village have low social vulnerability. As many as 52% of farmers have moderate economic vulnerability, 31% have high economic vulnerability. Elderly farmers in Sempu Village have the highest level of social vulnerability. Farmers who have limited land and loan capital have the highest level of economic vulnerability. Women farmers show higher levels of social and economic vulnerability than all farmers.

Abstract

ABSTRAKKesalahan GPS (Global Positioning System) dalam menentukan titik koordinat dipengaruhi faktor terhalang oleh bangunan, kondisi cuaca, dan hal lain yang dapat mengurangi akurasi dari GPS. Penelitian ini, digunakan tapis Kalman untuk meminimalisir kesalahan pada alat GPS tipe BN-220 ketika menentukan jarak. Tapis Kalman dirancang dengan dua tahapan yaitu proses prediksi dan koreksi. Pada tahap prediksi, data mentah dari koordinat akan diihitung varian kesalahannya dengan mengatur matriks Q. Kemudian, pada tahap koreksi dilakukan perbaikan dengan menentukan penguatan Kalman berdasarkan matriks R dan hasilnya digunakan untuk mengestimasi data keluaran. Berdasarkan pengujian pada delapan titik uji, diperoleh bahwa penggunaan tapis Kalman menghasilkan rata-rata selisih kesalahan sekitar 5,27% terhadap Google Maps jika dibandingkan dengan tanpa tapis Kalman sebesar 7,56%.Kata kunci: GPS BN-220, tapis Kalman, Haversine, Google Maps ABSTRACTGPS (Global Positioning System) error in determining the coordinates is influenced by factors obstructed by buildings, weather conditions, and other things that can reduce the accuracy of GPS. In this study, the Kalman filter was used to minimize errors in the BN-220 type GPS device when determining the distance. Kalman filter is designed with two stages, namely the prediction and correction process. In the prediction stage, the raw data from the coordinates will be calculated for the error variance by adjusting the Q matrix. Then, in the correction stage, improvements are made by determining the Kalman gain based on the R matrix and the results are used to estimate the output data. Based on testing at eight test points, it was found that the use of the Kalman filter resulted in an average error difference of around 5.27% against Google Maps when compared to without the Kalman filter of 7.56%.Keywords: GPS BN-220, Kalman filter, Haversine, Google Maps

Abstract

Research is an effort made by teachers to increase the effectiveness of learning carried out at SMPN 6 Pontianak. This research aims to test the effectiveness of learning by combining two methods, namely Jigsaw and Auditory, Intellectual, and Repetition (AIR). This research is classroom action research (PTK) with the objective being 27 students in class IX of SMPN 6 Pontianak, consisting of 15 male students and 12 female students. Meanwhile, the subject of this research is a class IX social studies teacher who acts as a researcher and observer in the learning process. The data collection method used is in the form of test techniques, observation, interviews, and documentation. This classroom action research was carried out in two cycles. The average class result in cycle I was 24.8 with a completion percentage of 3.7%, while the results in cycle II showed an average class score of 94.8 with a completion percentage of 88%. This means that the average class score has increased from 24.8 to 94.8 and the percentage of classical learning completion has increased from 3.7% to 88%. This shows that the combination of the two Jigsaw and Auditory, Intellectual, Repetition (AIR) methods is effectively used in the learning process and can even improve student learning outcomes.
