Abstract

The management of capitation funds in the National Health Insurance (JKN) system required competent individuals to ensure transparency and financial accountability at primary healthcare facilities (FKTP). The JKN treasurer held a strategic role in planning, fund distribution, and reporting, making it necessary for the selection and assessment processes to be conducted comprehensively. This study aimed to evaluate the competencies of a JKN treasurer candidate based on analytical skills, planning, accuracy, communication, and work responsibility to ensure effective capitation fund management. The subject of this study was one treasured candidate, referred to by the initials AS. The research employed a multi-instrument assessment approach consisting of the Intelligence Structure Test (IST), DISC, Kraepelin, Papikostik, structured interviews, as well as the DAP (Draw-A-Person) test and Holland Self Inventory to understand the individual's personality traits and career interests. The results showed that the subject possessed strong intellectual potential and a personality profile compatible with administrative roles, based on Holland’s theory. However, aspects such as work responsibility and task planning still need improvement. The implications of this study emphasized the importance of an adaptive, competency-based assessment system and the need for continuous development programs. As a follow-up, a monitoring period of at least three months was conducted to observe the implementation of assessment recommendations and to ensure measurable improvements in the subject’s job performance.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology during the periods of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, Society 5.0, and Policing 5.0 has resulted in indistinct shifts that diverge from previously recognized patterns, thus necessitating innovative leadership approaches. A notable deficiency in self-motivation has contributed to subpar performance. As of 2016, a significant number of Indonesian National Police personnel were implicated in disciplinary infringements, breaches of ethical standards, and even criminal transgressions. Specifically, in that year, 6,662 cases of disciplinary infractions were recorded, with 2,772 subsequently addressed. Moreover, transgressions against the professional ethics of the Indonesian National Police saw an escalation from 1,041 cases in 2015 to 1,671 in 2016. The objective of the present research is to discern and evaluate the influences of motivational enhancement and innovative leadership on the performance of the Indonesian National Police. The study employs a qualitative paradigm, drawing insights from a case study-oriented literary analysis. It is discerned that in addressing internal shifts in the Indonesian National Police, there is an imperative to bolster motivation and cultivate innovative leadership in order to attain exceptional, efficacious, and competitive outcomes. Pioneering leaders deploy diverse strategies to guide and inspire their teams, fostering active participation and collaboration towards the realization of organizational goals and peak performance. Given the evolving dynamics within the Indonesian National Police, a leader's role transcends mere adaptation to external innovative trends; truly effective leaders position their institutions as benchmarks for peers. An implication of contemporary advancements is the emergence of more intricate criminal modalities, pressing the Indonesian National Police to evolve in tandem. Concurrent with the digital age, there has been a heightened national cognizance of the need to rectify disparities and rejuvenate standards, driving a transition towards a society that is dynamic, forward-thinking, and technologically proficient.

Abstract

This article examines the growing influence of identity politics and polarization in contemporary Muslim countries, focusing on the impact of elections, the widespread role of social media, and global dynamics. As political systems in the Muslim world become more fragmented, identity-based movements—often rooted in ethnic, religious, or sectarian affiliations—have gained significant prominence. These dynamics have heightened political polarization when intertwined with electoral processes, shaping voter behaviour and policymaking. The rise of social media has further transformed political engagement, both as a platform for grassroots activism and a tool for spreading misinformation that deepens societal divisions. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature analysis to explore the relationship between identity politics and polarization in contemporary Muslim countries, focusing on elections, social media, and global dynamics. The findings highlight the urgent need for effective strategies to reduce polarization and promote inclusive governance. Often fueled by identity-based divisions and amplified by social media, polarisation poses serious threats to political and social stability. In today's interconnected world, these divisions extend beyond local and national politics, influencing international relations and regional security. Addressing these challenges requires a comprehensive approach that fosters open dialogue, strengthens democratic institutions, counters misinformation, and raises public awareness to bridge societal gaps. Inclusive governance also demands policies that engage marginalized groups, ensuring fair representation and addressing the root causes of polarization. By adopting these measures, Muslim-majority countries can work toward more excellent political stability and social cohesion.

Abstract

The concept of islah in Islamic law emphasizes peaceful conflict resolution through mediation, compromise, and forgiveness—principles that align closely with the restorative justice approach in modern legal systems. This article aims to explore the integration of islah values into the restorative justice framework, as well as how the concept of reconciliation in both positive law and Islamic law can be recontextualized in the contemporary era. This study employs a qualitative method using a normative-juridical and comparative approach based on a literature review of primary and secondary sources, including classical Islamic legal texts (turath), statutory regulations, and policy documents on restorative justice practices in Indonesia and selected Muslim-majority countries. The findings indicate that islah values hold significant potential to enrich restorative justice practices, particularly in strengthening participatory justice and the restoration of social relationships. The recontextualization of reconciliation not only opens space for dialogue between positive law and Islamic law but also offers a more humanistic, contextual, and community-responsive model of conflict resolution. The article recommends enhancing legal regulations to incorporate islah-based approaches within Indonesia's criminal justice system as part of a broader effort to harmonize national legal norms with Islamic values. Its academic contribution lies in providing a constructive foundation for the theoretical and normative integration of islah values into the national legal system through restorative justice while offering a new paradigm for resolving criminal cases in a more contextualized manner.

Abstract

Identifying children's learning styles during the golden age period is very important to support optimal learning development. Every child has a different learning style, such as visual, auditory, or kinesthetic, and by recognizing these learning styles, educators or parents can adjust the most effective teaching methods as an effort to improve children's learning styles in the golden age period. In this research, the author uses a qualitative method by limiting the object of discussion through problem formulation, namely: How are children's learning styles different in the golden age period and how are efforts to improve and support children's learning styles in the golden age period. The results of the discussion show that each child has a different learning style. The different learning styles include: auditory learning style, visual learning style, kinesthetic learning style, social learning style, independent learning style, emotional learning style and mixed learning style. After identifying the differences in children's styles in the golden age period, efforts that can be made to improve and support children's learning styles in the golden age are encouraging children's learning style methods, adapting teaching materials to learning styles, designing activities that accommodate various styles, evaluating and adjust the approach and create a supportive learning environment, and wisely limit children's use of technology to support their social, emotional and cognitive development.

Abstract

The police profession is one of the professions that faces great challenges in crisis situations. Police members are required to make the right decisions and adapt to stressful conditions quickly and effectively. This study aims to analyze the influence of emotional intelligence on decision-making and self-adjustment in police members who serve in operational functions. The research method used is a correlational quantitative approach with data collection through questionnaires distributed to 100 personnel of the Riau Islands Police Directorate. Emotional intelligence is measured based on five dimensions: self-awareness, self-management, motivation, empathy, and social skills. Decision-making and self-adjustment are measured using a standardized scale that has been validated. The results of the study show that emotional intelligence has a significant influence on decision-making and self-adjustment of police members. The dimensions of self-management and empathy contribute the most in supporting quick and rational decision-making skills, while self-awareness plays an important role in self-adjustment to crisis situations. These findings underscore the importance of developing emotional intelligence through training to improve the performance of police members, especially in dealing with stressful situations. This study concludes that emotional intelligence is a key factor that affects the effectiveness of decision-making and self-adjustment in police members. The practical implication of this study is the need to integrate emotional intelligence training in human resource development programs in police institutions.

Abstract

Self-esteem is an important aspect of adolescent mental health and can be influenced by various factors related to social media use. Through a literature review and interviews, data were collected and then analyzed using the Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM) approach to build a structural model depicting the interactions among these factors. The literature review identified nine key factors: Feelings of Loneliness, Types of Social Media Interactions, Content Consumed, Social Support from Social Media, Social Comparison, Cyberbullying, Control over Social Media Use, Parental Involvement, Intensity of Social Media Use, and Identity Development. The ISM model revealed that the factor of feelings of loneliness (F1) is at the fourth or most fundamental level in the hierarchy of factors, while the intensity of social media use (F9) is at the highest level. Therefore, the role of parental involvement (F8) is a crucial foundation to address feelings of loneliness (F1), because if adolescents feel lonely, they may turn to social media as an escape, which can negatively impact self-esteem if not properly controlled. These findings are expected to contribute to the development of effective intervention strategies to enhance adolescent self-esteem.
