Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan desain pelatihan pembelajaran IPA berbasis DIGICOM serta mengukur tingkat pemahaman guru fisika Kab. Demak setelah mengikuti pelatihan penggunaan. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan subyek penelitian guru fisika Kabupaten Demak sejumlah 16 orang. Instrumen pengambilan data berupa angket dan obervasi pelaksanaan pelatihan. Hasil penelitian ini adalah 1) telah dihasilkan desain materi pelatihan pembelajaran IPA berbasis mikroskop digital, 2) Sebanyak 94 % peserta pelatihan pembelajaran IPA berbasis DIGICOM mampu memahami materi pelatihan dengan baik. Sedangkan sebanyak 6 % belum mampu memahami materi pelatihan sebab media yang digunakan adalah kamera DLSR sehingga membutuhkan pelatihan dan pendampingan lebih lanjut. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pelatihan pembelajaran IPA berbasis DIGICOM mampu dipahami dengan baik oleh guru fisika Kabupaten Demak.   The research aimed to design a workshop for science learning process using DIGICOM as well as to determine participant’s understanding about DIGICOM after following the workshop.  Participants were teachers of physics subject in Demak, Central Java.  The research method is qualitative method by using questionnaire and observation during the workshop.  The results of the research are 1) design of material for workshop on learning process using digital microscope, 2) 94% of the workshop participant comprehend the material well.  Meanwhile, 6% of the participants could not understand the material clearly so that more intensive workshop is required.  As conclusion, the workshop for  science learning process using DIGICOM could be followed and understood well by Physic teachers in Demak.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Scratch-based learning media on the subject of optical tools and measure the properness of learning media. Learning media developed with 4D development model by Thiagarajan. The research subjects were Scratch-based learning media which tested for their properness. The properness test process was carried out by using a questionnaire consist of validating  questionnaires of visual communication design aspect, software engineering aspects, material substance aspects, quality test questionnaires of learning media by the teacher, and responses questionnaires of student. The questionnaire respondents were expert lecturers for each aspect, physics teachers, and high school students in XI MIPA grade. Questionnaire data were analyzed by descriptive statistical  analysis and average value of statistics described according to the properness criteria of learning media. The results of the properness of learning media on the visual communication design aspects obtained a percentage of 94% with very proper categories, aspects of software engineering obtained a percentage of 83% with very proper categories, material substance aspects obtained 70% with a proper category, percentage of learning media quality test 91 % with a very proper category, and students responses obtained a percentage of 79.84% with a proper category. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that Scratch-based learning media on the subject of optical tool is proper to be used as a medium for physics learning in the learning process at school.

Abstract

The reason to do this research is because the creative thinking ability, motivation and mastery concept still less than optimal. The purpose of this research is to analyze the improvement of creative thinking ability, motivation and mastery of students’ concepts through cooperative discovery learning model. This research is quantitative research and design experimental with nonequivalent control group. The population in this research is the fifth grade students’ of Rejosari 02 and Rejosari 03 elementary schools. The sample of this research is choosen by using purposive sampling technique. The are 5a obtained 51 students as a control class and class 5b, 50 students as an experimental class. The research instrument is in the form of tests of creative thinking ability, questionnaire of learning motivation and concept of mastery test. The hypothesis test using the N-gain test and independent sample t-test. The result showed as follows: (1) the improvement of students’ creative thinking ability taught by using cooperative discovery learning of, is in category and those who average are in medium category. (2) the improvement of students’ learning motivation that taught by using cooperative discovery learning is of 82.12 and that of conventional learning is of 76.69. (3) There is a difference in the mastery of students' concepts that taught by using cooperative discovery learning and the conventional learning. So it can be concluded that by using cooperative discovery learning are the students’ creative thinking, motivation and concept mastery higher than that of conventional learning. This research gives the implication that cooperative discovery learning is suitable to use in the fifth grade of elementary school to increase the students’ creative thinking, motivation and as.

Abstract

The Administrative of research area has been in Tanjung Medan, Rokan IV Koto, Rokan Hulu, Riau Province and geographically located at 0 ° 37 '28.488 "- 0 ° 40' 10.3692" LU and 100 ° 24 '55.6884 "- 100 ° 27 '37.5804 "BT. Research method used approach method and laboratory analysis to get data of geology modeling and re-construction of geological history in research area. Based on surface observation, the geology of research area consists of Slate (Permian-carbon), Granite intrusion (Permian-Trias) with distribution SouthWest-SouthEast on the center of map. Arenite Sandstone unit (Easly Eocene) unconformity with slate on the bottom. Alluvial Rokan river crosses all type off rocks from north to south of map. While structure growth  in the research area have been joints structure with main stress Southwest-NorthEast, its similar with trend tectonic setting of Sumatra island, on the other hand reverse fault indicates the formation of a basin of extension stress in the early Eocene. the formation of basins in basement rocks begun at the time of the formation of the north-south trending northern form of the fault block forming horst and graben as well as accommodated the precipitation of pre-tertiary clastic materials. Whereas the Oligocene trans-tensional compression system accommodating the sedimentation system in the formed of arenite sandstone (SBPa) unconformity above the basement rocks simultaneously on the basin base decrease. The distribution of arenite sandstones based on the geological reconstruction covering all parts of the rock distribution which then undergoes the same weathering process of the formation of Bukit Barisan volcanic path that controls the development of geological structure up to the present.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the effect of academic supervision on the performance of rayon 4 elementary school teachers in Rimau Island sub-district. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey. The technique of data collection uses a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The sample used is a saturated sampling technique or also called a census, the population is sampled in the study the number of samples that the author took as many as 34, where the total population is equal to the number of samples of all teachers of Rayon 4 Elementary School District of Rimau Island. Processing data using simple linear regression and multiple linear regression to find out the effect together. Data collected using questionnaires made percentage. The data collected is tabulated. The results of the study show that the supervision of the principal has a positive effect on the performance of teachers at the Rayon 4 Elementary School in Pulau Rimau District.

Abstract

This was a survey study involving 156 pre-service teachers taken from three local universities in Indonesia, investigating whether or not different L2 learning environment of English teacher education affect the NNES pre-service teachers’ teaching skills, intercultural sensitivity, exposure to foreign culture, and English proficiency. The data were collected through observation scaling checklist, and 2) questionnaire. Descriptive analysis and a series of one-way ANOVA were used to analyze the data. The results showed that: 1) the effect of L2 learning environments on teaching skills was not significant F (2) = 2.831., p = 0.062; 2) the effect of L2 learning environments on intercultural sensitivity was not significant F (2) = 4.991, p = 0.008; 3) the effect of L2 learning environments on exposure to foreign culture was not significant F (2) = 1.577, p = 0.210., and 4) the effect of L2 learning environments on English proficiency was significant F (2) = 56.153, p = 0.000.

Abstract

This study aims at investigating the kinds of turn-taking mostly used by EFL learners, how the turn-takings are portrayed as a process of EFL learning, and how the EFL learners differ in making their turn-takings according to their gender. This study was qualitative in nature, using 10 members of English Club of English department students, Mulawarman University as the participants. The procedures of data collecting were video-tape recording observation and semi-structure interview. The data were analyzed by using conversational analysis and percentage frequencies. The result revealed that: 1) the kinds of turn-taking mostly used by the participants were adjacency pair and insertion sequence from the sequence type of turn-taking, almost all kinds turn-taking from the overlap turn-taking except the third party mediation, and other-repair and self-repair from the repair turn-taking; 2) all members of the English Club felt they acquired  their languages as they practiced them in either written and spoken communication; and 3) the female members dominated talk than the male ones.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the teacher's understanding of application 2013 curriculum assessment, describes the teacher's problems in implementation2013 curriculum assessment, teacher constraints and the efforts made by the teacher in overcoming the problem of the implementation of the 2013 curriculum assessment. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of this study were 7 teachers and 1 head of Rimau Island SDN 8 in Rimau Island District. Data analysis is carried out through the steps of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that; (1) The teacher has understood the assessment and has implemented the 2013 curriculum curriculum 2013 evaluation quite well; (2) Problems faced by teachers in the application of the 2013 curriculum assessment are on the assessment of attitude competencies, knowledge competencies, and skills competencies; (3) The efforts made by the teacher to overcome the problems in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum assessment are teachers learning together and utilizing internet media, giving assignments to students to take notes of activities every day outside the classroom, the teacher asks participants to watch other friends while outside class, the teacher makes an effort toguide students who are less than the achievement, the teacher conducts a re-examination to match the students' answers.

Abstract

This study has the purpose of analyzing the effectiveness of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model with the Open-Ended approach on students' problem-solving abilities. This type of study was an experimental research with a non-equivalent pre-test – post-test control group design. The population of the study was grade IV students of  Elementary School in Cluster of Jenderal Sudirman, Kebonagung District, Demak Regency in 2018/2019. Samples were taken by using a random sampling technique. Problem-solving ability as a dependent variable. And the Open-Ended approach as an independent variable. The method was used as an essay test item. The data analysis techniques were using Validity, Reliability, Difficulty test, Normality test, Homogeneity test, t-test, and N-gain test. Problem-solving ability can be improved by applying the PBL model with the open-ended approach. This can be shown based on the results of N-gain test is the average value of an experimental group is higher than the control group (0.7029 > 0.5118). The average N-Gain problem-solving ability of students taught using the PBL model with Open-Ended approach is higher than average N-Gain problem-solving ability of students taught using the PBL model.

Abstract

Pengujian kolimator merupakan salah satu program Quality Control (QC) pesawat sinar-X, salah satu pengujian kolimator dengan menggunakan unit RMI. Tujuan pengujian kolimator adalah untuk mengetahui kesesuaian luas lapang kolimator dengan luas lapang berkas sinar-X dalam toleransi ≤ 2% Focus Film Distance (FFD) yang telah ditentukan oleh Keputusan Menteri Kesehatan No. 1250/SK/XII/2009. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan variasi FFD pada jarak 117cm, 107cm, 97cm, 87cm,  dan  variasi faktor eksposi yang dibedakan pada besar tegangannya (kV). Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan unit radiograf digital (DR), tidak lagi menggunakan radiograf konvesional seperti penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya. Penyimpangan atau ketidaksesuaian luas lapang kolimator dengan luas lapang berkas sinar-X dilakukan dengan cara mengevaluasi batas tegas garis yang dibentuk oleh sumbu X dan sumbu Y, kemudian menentukan titik tengah antara batas tegas garis dan batas radiasi hambur. Hasil penyimpangan disimpulkan bahwa pesawat sinar-X tersebut mengalami penyimpangan melebihi toleransi ≤ 2% FFD yang terjadi pada bagian vertikal.Testing collimator is one program of Quality Control (QC) plane of X-rays, a collimator testing using RMI unit. The purpose of testing is to determine the suitability collimator spacious airy spacious airy collimators with X-ray beam in tolerance ≤ 2% Focus Film Distance (FFD), which have been determined by the Ministry of Health Decree No. 1250 / SK / XII / 2009. Studies have been conducted using variations of FFD is at a distance of 117cm, 107cm, 97cm, 87cm, and a variety of factors that distinguished the great eksposi voltage (kV). What distinguishes this study using digital radiographs unit (DR) is no longer using conventional radiographs as previous studies. Deviations or nonconformance spacious airy spacious airy collimators with X-ray beam is done by evaluating well defined line formed by the X axis and Y axis, and then determine the midpoint between the firm boundaries and boundary lines scatter radiation. The results concluded that the irregularities plane X-rays are experiencing deviations exceed the tolerance ≤ 2% FFD that occurs in the vertical (Y_n).
