Abstract

One important activity for tourism promotion is organizing various MICE (Meeting Incentive Conference Exhibition) events on both local and international scales. MICE is a business primarily supported by SMEs, both as organizers and suppliers/vendors. However, MICE business owners often don't understand how to keep their businesses sustainable, and suppliers often just hope their businesses continue without understanding how. This research aims to identify factors that can support the business continuity of MICE industry players. The study was conducted using the grounded theory model, starting with in-depth interviews with event organizers and suppliers in Yogyakarta to identify factors that would be used to develop a theory, with the assistance of coding in NVIVO software. These factors, which were transformed into a theory, were then directly tested on business actors (80 respondents) using multiple regression analysis. Based on the results of the regression test, it was found that the 8 keywords generated from NVIVO data processing do indeed have a significant influence on supporting the sustainability of the MICE business, both partially and simultaneously. The eight keywords are Commitment & Contract, Innovation & Novelty of Event; Mutual Partnership; Payment; Portfolio & Experience; Product Quality; Profit; Zero Complaint.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of product quality, social media marketing, and price perception on consumers' intention to purchase electric vehicles, with brand awareness serving as a mediating factor. Conducted in Bogor City, the study employed a quantitative method involving 385 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was performed using SEM-LISREL 8.80. The findings reveal that product quality has a significant impact on both brand awareness (t = 3.48) and purchase intention (t = 3.61). Social media marketing also significantly influences brand awareness (t = 2.02) and purchase intention (t = 4.24), while price perception affects brand awareness (t = 2.36) and purchase intention (t = 3.44). Furthermore, brand awareness mediates the relationship between these variables and purchase intention (t = 4.20). The findings indicate that social media marketing is the most dominant factor affecting purchase intention, highlighting the importance of developing intensive and interactive digital marketing strategies. Practically, companies should focus on enhancing brand awareness and building positive consumer perceptions through social media, supported by high-quality products and competitive pricing, to accelerate electric vehicle adoption in Bogor.

Abstract

Achieving genuinely equitable and sustainable national progress depends on understanding and effectively measuring inclusive economic development, a complex and often elusive goal. Despite Indonesia's sustained economic growth over the past decade, questions persist about the extent to which this progress has translated into inclusive outcomes across regions and dimensions of well-being. This study addresses the empirical gap in comprehensive measurement by developing and applying a rigorous quantitative framework to estimate the Inclusive Economic Development Index across 34 Indonesian provinces from 2011 to 2023. Using national data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and supplementary records from other government bodies, we construct province-level inclusive development scores that encompass multiple dimensions of inclusive economic development, including economy, social factors, political aspects, ICT, governance, and the environment. The findings reveal significant variation in inclusive development across provinces, with West Sumatra, West Java, and Bali leading in the 4-dimensional model; West Sumatra, Maluku, and Aceh in the 5-dimensional model; and Maluku, East Nusa Tenggara, and East Kalimantan in the 6-dimensional model. Despite these provincial disparities, overall inclusivity levels demonstrate relative consistency. Nationally, the index fluctuated during the period, peaking at 4.65 in 2011 and hitting a low of 3.75 in 2022, resulting in an average of 4.18. These results underscore that inclusive development remains a persistent systemic and structural challenge for Indonesia.

Abstract

Delays in construction projects often lead to cost increases, reduced quality, and even the risk of penalties. This was the case in the Rehabilitation Project of the Regional Inspectorate Office Building of Tuban Regency, which experienced a 4.735% progress deviation in the 14th week. Such delays could affect the overall completion and increase project costs. This research aims to analyze the relationship between project time and cost using the Time Cost Trade Off method to find an efficient way to speed up the project. The study was carried out by collecting field data, analyzing the S-curve, identifying the critical path with the Critical Path Method , and simulating different overtime scenarios. From the three overtime options tested, adding 3 extra hours per day turned out to be the most effective choice. This scenario successfully shortened the project duration and achieved a 0.207% cost efficiency without causing significant changes to the work structure. This means that the application of the Time Cost Trade Off method is effective in optimizing resources, reducing the negative impact of delays, and maintaining a balance between time and cost in similar construction projects

Abstract

Human resource development is a key focus in the development of the Indonesian capital city. Elementary and secondary schools in Sepaku Regency, Penajam Paser Utara Regency, are the closest buffer zone to the New Capital City. Therefore, the quality of these schools is crucial in facilitating the development of the younger generation around the New Capital City. Adjustments to curriculum documents serve as guidelines for school administration, ensuring the quality of educational services provided. Therefore, training and mentoring in school curriculum development are crucial and have become the aim of this program. The method of this mentoring program was implemented through five phases from 2024 to 2025, with 12 elementary schools and two junior high schools in Sepaku District participating. The mentoring result demonstrated that each school was able to create comprehensive and aligned curriculum documents with a focus on in-depth learning. Challenges encountered during the training process included changes in the number of school representatives present at the training and mentoring activities. In early 2025, there was a shift in the curriculum guidelines toward in-depth learning. The finalization process for mentoring, incorporating key elements of in-depth learning into the curriculum documents, has been completed. It can be concluded that mentoring could support schools to re-focus their curriculum.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze the influence of tourism sector to regional revenue of Malang Raya. In this case, tourism sector used the number of tourist arrival, hotel's room occupancy rate, the number of restaurants, and the sum of PDRB (Gross Regional Domestic Product) during the period of 2006-2016. The secondary panel data from three Local Governments in Malang Raya is analyzed by using fixed effect model of multiple regressions. The result shows that all independent variables simultaneously give significant influence to regional revenue. Partially, the number of tourist arrival and hotel's room occupancy rate give the significant influence to regional revenue. The other two variables, i.e. the number of restaurant and sum of PDRB did not give significant influence. A regression model of 97.76% is generated to predict regional revenue of Malang Raya. The conclusion gives an insight that local governments in Malang Raya should pay more attention to the effort of promoting Malang Raya to encourage tourist to come and stay longer, in order to increase the regional revenue and also to increase the share of the tourism sector to regional revenue. Keywords: Malang Raya, regional revenue, tourism.

Abstract

Background:  This study explored how students with high and low English reading proficiency employed online reading strategies when engaging with academic texts. It focused on sixth-semester of undergraduate students in Kalimantan Island. Guided by metacognitive theory, which highlights learners’ ability to monitor and regulate reading processes, this study addressed the growing importance of online academic reading in higher education.  Methodology:  A comparative qualitative design was employed. Six students were purposively selected based on their TOEFL reading scores to represent different proficiency levels. Data were gathered through semi-structured interviews and analyzed thematically to identify strategy use, reasons behind their choices, and the difficulties encountered. Findings:  Students applied global, problem-solving, and support strategies differently based on proficiency. High-proficiency students read with clear goals, adjusted pace, and used contextual clues. Low-proficiency students focused on task completion, avoided long texts, and depended on external tools. While both slowed down when necessary, high-proficiency students showed more control. In support strategies, high-proficiency students used selective notes and minimal translation, while low-proficiency students relied on full translation. Conclusion:  Strategy use was shaped by reading habits, learning experience, and proficiency level. Common difficulties included eye strain and lengthy texts, while vocabulary and technical problems varied. These findings highlight the need for proficiency-sensitive strategy instruction that also supports effective use of digital reading tools and helps students manage screen-based reading challenges. Originality:  This study fills a gap by comparing online reading strategies across proficiency levels in academic contexts. It provides insight into how cognitive and contextual factors shape digital reading behavior
