Abstract

Pandemic Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) is a non-natural disaster that occurs globally. Disaster mitigation efforts need to be made when entering a new normal life after the physical distancing policy is relaxed. The purpose of this study was to describe the knowledge and participation of students in disaster mitigation activities during the new normal period. The research method used descriptive, data collection techniques through Google Form with a sample of 54 students. The results showed that learning of disaster mitigation education is not maximally taught at the university level with a percentage of 57.4% for students, who did not receive disaster mitigation education. However, as many as 51.9% of students had attended training in disaster education. Disaster mitigation education was important to do when a new normal period. That is because students are one component that has a role to convey various information about the disaster, especially COVID-19. This study concludes that knowledge and student participation in disaster education still needs to be improved. The suggestion from this research was necessary to develop innovative learning tools for disaster mitigation education in the new normal era of COVID-19.

Abstract

Procurement of goods/services is an activity to obtain goods/services by other Ministries/Institutions/Regional Work Units/Institutions whose process starts from planning needs to completion of all activities to obtain goods/services. The goods/service procurement activities are financed by the APBN/APBD, either carried out independently or by goods/service providers. The procurement of goods/services is essentially an attempt by the user to obtain or realize the goods/services it needs, by using certain methods and processes in order to reach an agreement on specifications, prices, time, and other agreements. The President of the Republic of Indonesia, in the process of dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic, has given instructions that were forwarded to the Deputy Attorney General for Civil and State Administration through circular number SE-02/G/Gs.2/04/2020 to carry out the stages quickly, precisely, focus integrated and synergistic among Ministries, institutions and local governments in the process of procuring goods and services. In the procurement process in an emergency, there are at least four important phases, namely planning, implementing, settling payments, and auditing. One of the duties and functions of the Junior Attorney General for Civil and State Administration is Legal Considerations consisting of Legal Opinion, Legal Assistance, and Legal Audit. Legal Assistance is a legal service provided by the State Attorney in the form of a legal opinion on an ongoing basis on an activity proposed by the Petitioner and ends with a conclusion on the provision of such Legal Opinion in the form of Legal Assistance Official Report.

Abstract

The study aims at investigating whether there is an effect of short animation video on the EFL narrative writing achievement of the secondary school EFL learners in the circumstance where web meeting was becoming the class. The study was an experimental study using Static Group Comparison Design. Respondents participated in the study were the 8th Graders of SMP Negeri 18 Samarinda, Indonesia. There were 32 students in the experimental group and the other 32 students in the control group. The data were collected by conducting writing tests, i.e. post-test for both the experimental and control groups. Independent sample t-test was used to test the significant difference for pre and post-test scores. The results revealed that the students under the experimental group (M = 83.22, SD = 7.979, N = 32) performed higher in scores on their narrative writing achievement than the students under the control group (M = 76.00, SD = 9.824, N = 32), t(32) = 3.227, p < .002, two-tailed. It means there is a significant difference between narrative writing achievement of the students under the experimental group and those under the control group. This finding implies there is a significant effect of short animation video on the narrative EFL writing achievement of the secondary school EFL learners.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze the improvement in critical thinking skills and self-confidence using contextual teaching learning (CTL) and quantum learning (QL) models for fifth graders. This study employed a quasi-experimental research design. The population of this research was fifth graders of SDN Mento involving 28 students, SDN Muntung 30 students, and SDN Canggal 28 students. These samples were selected using random sampling technique. The data in this study was obtained from tests and observation. The data analysis in this study included t-test by using SPSS 23.0 software. The results indicated that there was improvement in the critical thinking skills using CTL learning model with t-score 20.868 at sig. 0.000 as well as in the self-confidence with t score 2.845 at sig. 0.006. There was an improvement in the critical thinking skills using QL learning model with t score 3.061 at sig. 0.003 and in the self-confidence with t score 4.724 at sig. 0.000. The conclusion of this study is CTL and QL models are effective to enhance critical thinking skills and self-confidence of fifth graders.

Abstract

Bahan resin timbal menjadi bahan alternatif dari bahan proteksi radiasi. Scanning Electron Microscopy Electron Dispersive X-ray (SEM EDX) banyak digunakan sebagai karakterisai suatu material karena mampu mendapatkan hasil topologi dan nilai konsentrasi atomik dari suatu bahan. Dalam penelitian dilakukan uji SEM EDX dengan sampel resin timbal berbentuk serbuk dengan variasi komposisi resin dan timbal asetat sebesar 0;100, 90;10, 70;30, dan 50;50. Hasil scan EDX menunjukkan komposisi 50;50 memiliki kandungan timbal lebih besar sehingga mampu menjadi bahan proteksi yang baik. Sedangkan uji SEM menghasilkan data berupa citra yang dilakukan perbesaran sebesar 3000, 5000 dan 10.000x. hasil analisis citra SEM menggunakan metode Contrast to Noise Ratio (CNR) menghasilkan rata-rata nilai CNR pada perbesaran 3000, 5000 dan 10.000 kali adalah 8.085, 11.0425, dan 18.495. Dari hasil rata-rata nilai CNR dapat disimpulkan bahwa nilai CNR paling besar pada citra dengan perbesaran 10.000 kali dan dari hasil pengamatan visual citra dengan perbesaran 10.000 kali memiliki detail yang lebih baik dibandingkan perbesaran lainnya sehingga peneliti lebih mudah menentukan objek dan background.

Abstract

Pelaku  utama kegiatan ekonomi tambang batubara  koridor 3 MP3EI di Kalimantan Timur adalah orang dewasa. Dampak perilaku kegiatan ekonomi tambang batu bara koridor 3 MP3EI di Kalimantan Timur terkait masalah lingkungan,   ikut dirasakan orang dewasa. Selama ini upaya instasi terkait  mengatasi masalah lingkungan tidak efektif karena tidak sesuai  akar permasalahan.  Akar masalah adalah Perilaku orang dewasa yang dapat diubah melalui pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan. Penyebab ketidak efektifan program mengatasi masalah lingkungan, karena tidak disesuaikan dengan pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan orang dewasa sebagai sasaran program mengatasi masalah lingkungan setelah  kegiatan tambang batu bara. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, menjadi urgen mengelola permasalahan lingkungan terkait pelibatan orang dewasa dalam implementasi program mengatasi masalah lingkungan akibat  tambang batu bara. Mengacu pada permasalahan di atas maka tujuan akhir (Tahun 3) penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan manajemen pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan berbasis pendekatan androgogi (orang dewasa) sebagai solusi masalah lingkungan akibat kegiatan ekonomi tambang batu bara koridor MP3EI di Kalimantan Timur. Makalah ini menyajikan hasil penelitian tahun 1 terkait analisis kebutuhan untuk pengembangan manajemen. Metode penelitian adalah Penelitian pengembangan diawali analisis kebutuhan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi dan FGD untuk mendapatkan data  lembaga pemerintahan dan perusahaan batu bara dalam memanajemen program mengatasi masalah lingkungan selama ini. Analisis data secara kualitatif melalui reduksi data, display data, dan interpretasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa permasalahan lingkungan sebelum dan setelah kegiatan tambang batu bara terjadi peningkatan baik dari macam kerusakan maupun kategori kerusakan, karena manajemen program mengatasi masalah lingkungan oleh pemerintah maupun perusahaan tambang batu bara, belum berdasarkan pada akar permasalahan. Adapun menejemen program yang diterapkan bersifat top down dan tidak sesuai dengan  penyebab kerusakan lingkungan yakni prilaku orang dewasa.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa modul IPA terpadu berbasis mastery and meaningful learning pada tema manfaat cahaya bagi kehidupan di kelas VIII SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan penelitian dan pengembangan (Reseach and Development)). Hasil penelitian dengan menggunakan modul IPA terpadu berbasis mastery and meaningful learning yang dilaksanakan di SMP Muhammadiyah Cilongok dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil uji kelayakan modul IPA terpadu oleh pakar isi sebesar 3,5, pakar penyajian 3,76, dan pakar bahasa 3,5. Tingkat ketuntasan klasikal siswa 100% dengan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa sebesar 85,43 dan keaktifan siswa secara klasikal sebesar 86,05%. Angket tanggapan guru memiliki presentase sebesar 100%, angket tanggapan siswa dalam uji coba skala kecil sebesar 95%, dan uji coba skala besar sebesar 97%. Uji keterlaksanaan pembelajaran memiliki skor rata-rata 3,32. Hal ini berarti modul IPA terpadu yang dikembangkan layak, efektif, dan praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA di sekolah yang diteliti. Berdasarkan hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa modul yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak, efektif, dan praktis The purpose of this research is to develop instructional materials in the form of an integrated science module mastery and meaningful learning based on the theme of light benefits for life in junior high school. This study uses a design research and development (Reseach and Development). Results of studies using science module integrated based on mastery and meaningful learning which was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah Cilongok is  analyzed descriptive quantitatively. Results of validity integrated science module by expert of content is 3.54, 3.76 presenting experts, and linguists 3.5. Students’s target achievment is 100% by  average of 85.43 students’s activities generally is 86.05%. Teachers questionaire present 100%, and students respondents in the small-scale validity show 95%, while in large-scale show 97%. Test feasibility study has average score of 3.32. This means that the integrated science module which has been developed is feasible, and simple to be used in teaching and learning science at the schools under study. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the module dveloped is feasible, effective, and practical.

Abstract

This research was proposed on the problems of: a) the learning process of biology which lack integration to context, knowledge, competence, and scientific behavior. It affects students’ learning outcome, where 59.6 % still did not pass the passing grade. b) lack of students’ activeness in the learning process. In fact, not all students give questions in the learning process. Students were also unable to identify and know the key concepts of the materials. And c) teacher had difficulty and limited time to develop the learning process. This research aimed to produce valid and effective learning tools based on discovery learning. It referred to the stage of research of 4D, by Thiagarajan (1974) consisted of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The made products were the syllabus, lesson plan, handout, students’ worksheet, and scoring instrument. From the research, it can be concluded that the tools were valid with the average score of 87.49 %. It was considered as very practice with positive responses of students in 84.33 %. Discovery learning model integrated with science literacy can improve the effectiveness of learning process based on the value of Normalized gain (N-gain) in the experiment class in 0.74 (high) while the control class got 0.30 (medium).
