Abstract

This study aims to determine the scientific literacy ability profile of students through science learning based on the Pacu Jalur Kuantan Singingi. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive research. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Depok, Yogyakarta. The data collection technique used scientific literacy questions in the form of multiple choices totaling 5 items. The results showed that 67% of the indicators identified scientific facts or information were in the high category, the indicators analyzed data were 84% in the very high category, the indicators identified 100% of the scientific aspects in the very high category, the indicators justified the data 72% were in the medium category and the indicators provided arguments in a logical manner. scientific 94% with very high category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe students’ digital literacy after learning science using android-based Edusan learning media. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Mlati using descriptive analysis research method.  Edusan application based on android is used as a medium for delivering teaching materials and evaluation tools in the learning process. The data collection technique in this study was a questionnaire.  The dimensions of digital literacy analysed in this study are creativity, collaboration, communication, the ability to find and select information, critical thinking and evaluation, e-safety, functional skills and beyond. Results The research shows that students have a very good category in the digital literacy dimension. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of   Edusan android-based learning media can foster and train students' ICT literacy

Abstract

Zinc Layered hydroxide (ZLH) is a layered material easily synthesized with a structure identical to brucite-like material. Due to the exchangeable anions in the interlayer compensating for the positive charge of a brucite-type layer, ZLH provides a wide application in many fields. This review focuses on the properties and method of synthesis of ZLH by giving an overview of intercalated guest anion in the interlayer of ZLH. The further discussion involved the application of intercalated guest anion in zinc layered hydroxide layer and its properties as a sensitizer, controlled release biomedical, and agriculture to provide the scientific community for research and development by giving current findings. This brief review also presents the success of anion intercalation for controlled release along with the kinetic model involved, which increases the bioavailability and effectiveness of the nanocomposite on its target. It shows the development of research on ZLH nanocomposites toward the sustainability of human life and the environment. This study implies that it is a source of knowledge for researchers about zinc-layered hydroxide materials involving synthesis methods and their application to produce more beneficial nanomaterials.

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a medical diagnosis that has mental problems in individuals with abnormal social behavior. Schizophrenia has negative symptoms, one of which is low self-esteem. Low self-esteem is a negative view that is owned by himself so that his self-confidence and self-esteem are lost. The aim of the research is to describe the application of Indonesian nursing intervention standards with the promotion of self-esteem, namely motivation to accept challenges or new things. Motivation to accept challenges/new things aims to restore self-confidence and explore one's abilities. This research uses a descriptive method in the form of a case study. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in low self-esteem in patients.

Abstract

Learning has now gradually recovered from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic with the start of limited face-to-face learning. This makes educators need to innovate so that students still have independent learning. Online learning that is less than optimal causes students to be too passive when learning offline. The use of technology, the selection of interesting learning models, and media according to the characteristics of the material, especially abstract material, are still needed to answer the challenges of 21st-century learning. The use of technology and the development of students' learning independence is very important to face real life and make learning more effective. The purpose of this study is to analyze the learning independence of students through the implementation of LKPD discovery learning assisted by augmented reality. This research is descriptive qualitative research with 28 students of class VIII at SMP N 2 Karangnongko. The data collection technique used a student learning independence questionnaire, which was triangulated with learning observation sheets and interviews with science teachers. The data analysis technique according to Miles Huberman (1992) goes through three steps, namely data reduction, data displaying, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the learning independence questionnaire were analyzed using the percentage technique. Based on the learning independence questionnaire data, the average percentage is 70% in the medium category

Abstract

The scientific literacy ability of students in Indonesia, whether measured by PISA or by several Indonesian researchers, is known to be still in the low category. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of STEM-based Water Pollution LKPD and the 6E learning cycle model on scientific literacy skills. The type of research used is descriptive. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with a total sample of 43 students from class VII-B SMP Ma'arif Karangawen Demak. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and scientific literacy tests. The instrument used consisted of an interview guide with the teacher, an observation sheet on the implementation of learning, a learning observation note sheet, and a scientific literacy test instrument with 13 questions. The data analysis technique used is validity test, reliability test, and analytical descriptive. The results obtained for the aspect of identifying scientific issues get an average value of 69,77 (good category), explaining natural phenomena scientifically 86,05 (Very Good), interpreting data and evidence scientifically 45,35 (quite good), integrating science in technology and society 56,98 (good), using scientific knowledge in solving problems 48,84 (good enough), and aspects of designing and evaluating scientific investigations 66,28 (good). The average value of scientific literacy as a whole gets 62,21 in the good category so that through the implementation of the STEM-based Water Pollution LKPD and the 6E learning cycle model, it gave good results for students' scientific literacy skills

Abstract

Changing times in the 4.0 era requires humans to utilize technology in all activities to make it more accessible. One way that can be done in the world of education is to increase students' technological literacy. The purpose of this study was to determine students' technological literacy abilities in science learning class VII A and VII B of SMPN 1 Depok, especially on global warming material. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type. The population in this study were students in class VII A and VIII B of SMPN 01 Depok Yogyakarta for the 2022-2023 academic year consisting of 30 and 28 students using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques consist of interviews, observation and questionnaires. The instruments consist of interview sheets, observations and technological literacy questionnaires that have been validated by expert lecturers. The results obtained from the questionnaire get 3.00 in the high category. However, the results of observational research show that the level of students' technological literacy in science learning still needs to be improved, especially on indicators of knowing the advantages of various technologies and indicators of using multimedia features in learning. The level of ability that is less than optimal in several indicators is due to technological literacy that has not been integrated with the learning and assignment of science subjects. This research is important because it can be used as input for teachers to carry out learning by supporting students' technological literacy

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran IPA dengan pendekatan STEM yang dikembangkan. Perangkat pembelajaran IPA yang dikembangkan berupa RPP, LKS, dan assessment keterampilan critical thinking dan scinence process skill. Metode penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R & D). Metode R & D yang digunakan menggunakan model ADDIE yaitu Analysis, Design, Develop, Implementation, Evaluation. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berupa angket validasi kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran IPA dengan pendekatan STEM yang dikembangkan. Analisis data yang dilakukan meliputi analisis kelayakan perangkat pembelajaran oleh dua dosen ahli, tiga guru IPA, dan lima belas orang siswa pada uji lapangan terbatas untuk mengetahui respon siswa terhadap LKS yang dikembangkanHasil penelitian berupa hasil validasi pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran IPA dengan pendekatan STEM oleh dosen ahli, dan guru IPA. Rata-rata hasil validasi RPP yang dikembangkan yaitu 97% yang berada dalam kategori sangat baik. LKS yang dikembangkan juga memperoleh skor validasi 3.36 yang berada pada kategori baik. Hasil kelayakan lembar observasi untuk menilai keterampilan critical thinking dan science process skill siswa masing-masing memperoleh skor 95.5% dan 88.9% yang berada pada kategori sangat baik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA dengan pendekatan STEM layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA.

Abstract

Currently science learning has several problems including the lack of contextual material discussed, thus making science learning considered less interesting, monotonous, and difficult. This study aims to analyze the need for science learning contents used in schools to solve those problem. The research method used is a qualitative type of survey research. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews with science teachers, student questionnaires, scientific literacy tests, and observations. The number of samples was 3 teachers and 47 students through cluster random sampling. The instruments used in this study included interview guidelines, questionnaires, learning observation sheets, and scientific literacy tests. Data analysis in this study used descriptive qualitative. Based on this needs analysis, the results obtained recommend the development of integrated science textbooks containing cultural content on the Pacu Jalur Kuantan Singingi, to be able to increase scientific literacy and cultural concern of students

Abstract

The 21st century is a century where knowledge has increased drastically. Science and technology are growing rapidly and related to human life. Project-based learning is considered as an innovative approach for use in learning in many countries today. So that in the last decade it has raised a lot of interest in researchers to research related to this learning model. Although PjBL is becoming increasingly popular, to date there have been no reviews providing information on the use of PjBL across a wide range of disciplines and at various levels of education. Therefore, this review aims to find out where Project-Based Learning is used, adapted, and researched; and how Project-Based Learning has been used in learning to facilitate 21st century skills over the last 6 years. This systematic literature review used the PRISMA-P 4-step process and bibliometric analysis for 69 appropriate journal articles from 47 journals in 18 countries published from January 2016 to December 2021. A database search was performed with Scopus. The results of this review cover a variety of educational institutions. This review identifies the methods used and their developments over the last 6 years which were published in 69 journal articles in 47 journals in 18 countries and 8 disciplines. The findings are summarized bibliographically and thematically so as to provide important information for educators, researchers and software developers
