Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui 1) Kelengkapan alat dan bahan laboratorium kimia di SMA Negeri 1 Sleman, 2) Keterampilan praktikum kimia, 3) Prestasi belajar peserta didik, 4) Korelasi kelengkapan alat dan bahan laboratorium kimia dengan keterampilan praktikum, 5) Korelasi kelengkapan alat dan bahan laboratorium kimia dengan prestasi belajar, 6) Korelasi keterampilan praktikum dengan prestasi peserta didik kela XI MIA materi pembelajaran titrasi asam basa.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 1 Sleman dan sampel penelitian ini adalah peserta didik yang diambil dari keseluruhan peserta didik kelas XI tersebut dengan purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah daftar cek, lembar observasi, dan angket penilaian diri. Prestasi belajar diperoleh dari nilai ulangan harian peserta didik. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah dengan analisis kualitatif dan kuantitatif.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kelengkapan alat dan bahan laboratorium termasuk dalam kriteria Lengkap, keterampilan berkriteria Terampil, dan prestasi belajar berkriteria Baik. Kelengkapan alat dan bahan laboratorium juga berkaitan dengan keterampilan dan prestasi belajarpeserta didik. Uji korelasi menggunakan korelasi product moment untuk hubungan antara keterampilan dengan prestasi belajar, menunjukkan bahwa keduanya tidak memiliki hubungan (tidak berkaitan) karena nilai r hitung (rxy = 0,217) lebih kecil dari r tabel (r tabel = 0,2732).

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interactive electronic module product with a contextual approach and determine the effect of its use on students' learning motivation on conductor and insulator material. This study uses the R&D method with a 4D model. The research instrument is a questionnaire. The product was tested for feasibility, material validity, readability test, and measurement of student's learning motivation. The research subjects were seventh-grade students of MTsN 8 Banyuwangi and 5 validators. Data were analyzed qualitatively. The results of the study are the average product score is 3.9 with very good criteria and the percentage of 98% is very feasible, the validity of the material with a score of 3.8 with very good criteria and the percentage of 95% is very valid, the readability test obtained a score of 3 with very good criteria and percentage of 75% and learning motivation of students obtained a score of 3 and a percentage of 100% with high criteria. It can be concluded that the contextual approach interactive electronic module affects students' learning motivation on conductor and insulator material

Abstract

Learning retention is the ability of students to remember learning material after some time. The use of videoscribe animation-based science e-modules that can increase learning retention is rarely developed. The research aims to determine students' learning retention after using the videoscribe animation-based science E-module. This research is quantitative descriptive. The sample selection using cluster random sampling selected students from class VII.B of SMPN 5 Depok, Yogyakarta with a total of 32 students. The data collection technique is a test technique using a pretest and posttest question instrument totaling 6 questions. The test instrument is in the form of multiple-choice questions, to determine student retention, a retest is carried out one week after the posttest activity. The data analysis technique is quantitative descriptive to determine the score presentation. The pretest score percentage was 43.31% in the fair category, the posttest was 79.17% in the good category, and the retest score was 91.14% in the very good category. The use of videoscribe animation-based science e-modules influences student learning retention with the average being in the good category, indicating that student retention has increased after being taught using videoscribe animation-based e-modules

Abstract

The ability to think critically is one of the profiles of Pancasila students that students must possess in the independent curriculum. Critical thinking skills are one of the abilities that students need in solving problems. This research aims to describe the implementation of interactive Science ebooks based on PBL to enhance the critical thinking skills of students in the topic of environmental pollution. The research design used is quantitative descriptive. The research design used a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population of the study is all seventh-grade students of SMPN in Yogyakarta. The sample of this research is the seventh-grade student’s one of the junior high schools in Yogyakarta, selected through simple random sampling technique. The research instrument used is a multiple-choice critical thinking test with five indicators. Indicators of critical thinking abilities are explaining, evaluation, concluding, analysis, and designing strategies. The results showed an improvement in critical thinking skills through the N-gain test of 0.8, indicating a high category. The average indicator of students' critical thinking skills who obtained the highest score was the explaining indicator with an average of 90.5%, while the indicator with the lowest average among students' critical thinking skills was the analysis indicator with an average of 70.01%. This indicates that the use of Science Ebook Innovation Based on Project-Based Learning (PjBL) can enhance the critical thinking skills of students. It is expected that this research can provide references for future researchers, and innovations related to interactive teaching materials can be developed not only for one subject but for all subjects in middle school science.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the teacher's strategy in managing ideal and effective chemistry learning time to improve students' learning achievement. The method used is literature research using secondary data reviewed from books, articles, and journals. The results show that chemistry learning conducted during the day has an ineffective impact on students in participating in learning, such as students not focusing, tired, sleepy, hungry, thus disrupting students' learning concentration. The hot classroom conditions during the day also make it difficult for students to accept the material taught by the teacher. Thus, morning time is considered an effective time or a good time to absorb chemistry learning materials. Students can also repeat or study the material again so that they understand better in the afternoon or evening. Thus, teachers can prepare teaching materials that have been adjusted to the time allocation so that learning is expected to run well and effectively

Abstract

Pesisir DI Yogyakarta, Kalurahan Poncosari memiliki potensi sumberdaya perikanan dan kelautan  yang belum dioptimalkan, yang disebakan oleh kurangnya jumlah   dan   keterampilan nelayan.  Kegiatan Pengabdian masyarakat Desa Binaan melaksanakan pengembangan profesi nelayan bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan masyarakat, terutama generasi muda, terkait profesi nelayan. Kegiatan yang dilakukan berupa sosialisasi profesi nelayan dan magang nelayan untuk menambah jumlah (regenerasi atau pengkaderan nelayan). Hasil kegiatan sosialisasi diikuti oleh sekiat 40 orang pemuda, yang terdiri dari nelayan muda, petani, penambang pasir dan karang taruna. Hasil kuisioner sosialisasi menunjukan pengetahuan dan ketertarikan peserta terhadap profesi nelayan meningkat. Sosialisasi dilanjutkan kegiatan magang nelayang yang diikuti oleh 7 peserta dan dilaksanakan selama 4 hari, dengan hasil peningkatan kemampuan sangat baik, dimana peserta magang telah memiliki 90% kemampuan yang ditargetkan, sehingga dapat di klasifikasi pada nelayan pemula, berupa adaptasi dengan pelayaran, peningkatan keberanian dan keterampilan  procedural pengoprasian dan penangkapan ikan dengan pendampingan

Abstract

This study aims to enhance the targeted delivery of a powerful antioxidant, ferulate (FA), by developing a controlled release formulation (CRF) based on the incorporation of layered double hydroxide and Tween-80 polymeric surfactant. The layered double hydroxide-ferulate (LDH-FA) synthesized by co-precipitation method was homogenously mixed with the Tween-80 coater under continuous stirring. The successful Tween-80 coating was verified with PXRD analysis and supported by FTIR. No changes in interlayer distance between LDH-FA (at 17.4 and 8.7 Å) and LDH-FA-T80 (at 17.6 and 8.6 Å) were observed in the PXRD pattern. TGA/DTG analysis demonstrated good thermal stability of LDH-FA-T80, with the ability to withstand extreme temperatures up to 460 °C. The association of Tween-80 with LDH-FA progressively sustained the release time of FA in each aqueous solution, with a release time of up to 440 min. For both LDH-FA and LDH-FA-T80, the release of FA is through dissolution and anion exchange release mechanism (regulated by pseudo-second-order kinetic model). The study's findings suggest practical applications of FA in the pharmaceutical industry by implying the retarding effect triggered by Tween-80, offering new insights for the application of CRF to enhance the therapeutic effect of FA.

Abstract

Currently science learning has several problems including the lack of contextual material discussed, thus making science learning considered less interesting, monotonous, and difficult. This study aims to analyze the need for science learning contents used in schools to solve those problem. The research method used is a qualitative type of survey research. Data collection techniques were carried out through interviews with science teachers, student questionnaires, scientific literacy tests, and observations. The number of samples was 3 teachers and 47 students through cluster random sampling. The instruments used in this study included interview guidelines, questionnaires, learning observation sheets, and scientific literacy tests. Data analysis in this study used descriptive qualitative. Based on this needs analysis, the results obtained recommend the development of integrated science textbooks containing cultural content on the Pacu Jalur Kuantan Singingi, to be able to increase scientific literacy and cultural concern of students

Abstract

Changing times in the 4.0 era requires humans to utilize technology in all activities to make it more accessible. One way that can be done in the world of education is to increase students' technological literacy. The purpose of this study was to determine students' technological literacy abilities in science learning class VII A and VII B of SMPN 1 Depok, especially on global warming material. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type. The population in this study were students in class VII A and VIII B of SMPN 01 Depok Yogyakarta for the 2022-2023 academic year consisting of 30 and 28 students using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques consist of interviews, observation and questionnaires. The instruments consist of interview sheets, observations and technological literacy questionnaires that have been validated by expert lecturers. The results obtained from the questionnaire get 3.00 in the high category. However, the results of observational research show that the level of students' technological literacy in science learning still needs to be improved, especially on indicators of knowing the advantages of various technologies and indicators of using multimedia features in learning. The level of ability that is less than optimal in several indicators is due to technological literacy that has not been integrated with the learning and assignment of science subjects. This research is important because it can be used as input for teachers to carry out learning by supporting students' technological literacy

Abstract

Square wave voltammetry, cyclic voltammetry, chronocoulometry, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy were employed to assess ascorbic acid’s electrochemical behavior in multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs)/carbon paste electrode (CPE) modified by 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-metafluorobenzoyl-5-pyrazolone (HPMmFBP). The ascorbic acid’s irreversible oxidation peak appeared at approximately 0.5 V. The shifting of the peak potential at the pH range of 6.0–8.4 showed the involvement of protons in the ascorbic acid oxidation. Moreover, the shifting of the peak potential with scan rate in the range of 0.07–0.4 V/s confirmed that the oxidation reaction was irreversible. Under optimized conditions, the oxidative peak current showed linear dependence on the ascorbic acid’s concentration between 1 and 1000 μM with limit of detection (LOD) and quantification (LOQ) at 0.1 and 0.34 μM, respectively. HPMmFBP/MWCNT/CPE exhibit good antiinterference ability, reproducibility, repeatability, and stability and was utilized for the accurate and rapid ascorbic acid detection in commercial tablets. Therefore, it has good potential for practical application.
