Abstract

Meaningful understanding becomes the goal of the learning process. Science as a scientific discipline not only includes theory but also practicum implementation as proof of the theory that has been taught. The implementation of practicum is a demand in the science learning process. Introducing and training students with practicum activities is still rarely done in schools in Gowa district. It is necessary to impose international educational standards that lead to more specific learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to analyze planning and carrying out investigation skills using the NGSS-oriented inquiry learning model. This research is a qualitative descriptive research. The sample in this study was class VIII E students of SMP Negeri 4 Sungguminasa, Gowa, totaling 31 people. Sample determination is carried out by purposive sampling. The instrument used is in the form of a multiple-choice question test to determine the planning and carrying out investigation skills of students. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be seen that the planning and carrying out investigation skills of students are in the medium category with indicators determining the title to get the highest percentage, with 66.66% and the indicator of choosing tools and materials got the lowest percentage, which is 31.91% is in the low category on the material structure and function of plants

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are still infrequently tested in science classes. This study aims to identify students' thinking skills in integrated science learning with subject temperature and conversion. This type of research uses descriptive quantitative—data sampling using a purposive sampling technique. The subjects of this study were 30 students of class VII SMP Negeri 2 Mlati, Sleman, DIY. The instrument used to identify students' critical thinking skills is within the form of 10 multiple choice tests, with indicators of critical thinking skills consisting of (1) categorizing, (2) concluding deductively and inductively, (3) stating the results, (4) providing solutions and (5) explaining reasons. Data analysis techniques were processed with descriptive statistical data and analysis of each item in critical thinking indicators based on the multiple-choice test results. The results showed that the overall critical thinking skill was 79,33% in the high category. Among the indicators measured, the "categorizing" indicator has the highest percentage, while the “providing solutions” indicator has the lowest percentage. Integrating designs and strategies in further learning media needs to increase student learning activities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out various kinds of science learning innovations and educational developments using the STEAM approach. The method used in this research is a systematic literature review by analyzing 23 Scopus-indexed articles and 7 Sinta-indexed articles. The results of the study show that science learning is developed on the STEAM approach implementing learning applications that are integrated with traditional musical instruments, integration strategies, SSIT-based, traditional sciences, professional development pathways, implementation PjBL Learning model, and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). The development of education in the STEAM approach is very rapid, it is evident that the level of success of teachers in STEAM-based learning increases the ability of students both in terms of cognitive, psychomotor, and affective. It can be interpreted that the application of the STEAM approach is very important to improve the success of the quality of education on a small or large scale.

Abstract

The STEM approach to learning helps prepare students with the skills needed for the future. Concrete and real-world problems can be solved by training students in STEM education. This research aims to analyze the influence of STEM on problem-solving abilities in education. The research method used is meta-analysis. The research process begins with determining the topic, data criteria, article search, data classification, analysis, and conclusion. The topic used is STEM and problem-solving, and the data criteria used are effect sizes. Articles used in the analysis are published in Scopus-indexed journals, ERIC, DOAJ, and SINTA-accredited journals. The articles analyzed are from the years 2018-2023. The result of the study shows that the use of STEM has a significant impact, with an average effect size of 1,709. STEM education has a very large influence on problem-solving abilitie.

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a serious mental disorder that can affect individual thoughts, feelings and behavior. Schizophrenia is part of a psychotic disorder which is primarily characterized by loss of understanding of reality and loss of self-view. Thought stopping is one of a cognitive behavioral psychotherapy technique that can be used to help clients change their thought processes. Sources of data obtained using primary and secondary data, primary data obtained by means of interviews with respondents, while secondary data related to case studies obtained from medical records.The subjects of this case study were schizophrenic patients with sensory perception disorders at Prof Dr Soerojo Psychiatric Hospital, with the number of case study subjects 3 patients who experience sensory perception disorders. The instrument is a measuring tool to measure what will be measured. The instrument for this case study method uses the PYSRAT (Psychotic Symptom Rating Scale). The nursing actions applied to three schizophrenic clients with sensory perception disorders in this case study focused on the application of thought stopping. The intervention was carried out 3 times with a duration of 10-15 minutes at each visit. Based on the application that has been done on clients, it is known that thought stopping can help reduce signs and symptoms and control sensory perceptual disorders. The results of sensory perception getting better. .

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas zeolit alam sebagai media penyerap ion logam tembaga dalam air kolam renang. Pengaruh ukuran partikel zeolit dan waktu kontak tertentu terhadap efektivitas zeolit mengadsorpsi ion logam tembaga juga dipelajari dalam penelitian ini. Efektivitas zeolit dilihat dari nilai efisiensi penjerapan yaitu perbandingan antara konsentrasi ion logam tembaga yang teradsorpsi dengan konsentrasi ion logam tembaga sebelum adsorpsi. Konsentrasi adsorbat (ion logam tembaga) ditentukan menggunakan Spektroskopi Serapan Atom (SSA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan adsorpsi zeolit terhadap ion logam tembaga cukup tinggi. Zeolit A (10 mesh) mampu menurunkan konsentrsi tembaga hingga 37,1698% sedangkan zeolit B (5 mesh) hingga 35,9976%. Ukuran zeolit cenderung tidak memperlihatkan pengaruh yang signifikan. Air yang dihasilkan telah memenuhi baku mutu air kolam renang sesuai Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Nomor: 416/MEN.KES/PER/IX/1990 yaitu konsentrsi tembaga sebagai Cu kurang dari 1,5 mg/L.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi optimum metode elektrokoagulasi dengan elektroda alumnium - grafit dan kualitas air kolam renang, meliputi nilai pH dan TDS yang berhubungan dengan efektivitas elektrokoagulasi untuk pemisahan polutan pada air kolam renang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah alumunium dan grafit. Objek penelitian ini adalah penurunan kadar polutan dalam air kolam renang setelah dilakukan elektrokoagulasi. Uji optimasi tegangan listrik dilakukan pada variasi 1, 5 dan 10 volt. Uji kadar alumunium, pH dan TDS dilakukan pada tegangan listrik 10 volt dan variasi waktu 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 dan 24 jam. Efektivitas elektrokoagulasi dilihat dari nilai pH dan TDS. Sampel dianalisis menggunakan Spektroskopi Serapan Atom (SSA), pH meter dan TDS meter. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa kondisi optimum metode elektrokoagulasi ini pada tegangan listrik sebesar 10 volt dan waktu selama 24 jam. Penggunaan metode elektrokoagulasi sebagai metode pengolahan air tidak efektif, karena kandungan logam Al3+ dalam air kolam renang semakin bertambah dan melebihi syarat baku mutu air. Namun nilai pH air semakin mengarah ke netral dan TDS semakin turun.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas zeolit alam sebagai media penyerap ion logam alumunium dalam air kolam renang yaitu dengan mengetahui pengaruh ukuran partikel zeolit dan waktu kontak terhadap efektivitas zeolit mengadsorpsi ion logam alumunium Efektivitas zeolit dilihat dari nilai efisiensi penjerapan yaitu perbandingan antara konsentrasi ion logam alumunium yang teradsorpsi dengan konsentrasi ion logam alumunium sebelum adsorpsi. Konsentrasi adsorbat (ion logam alumunium) ditentukan menggunakan Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan adsorpsi zeolit terhadap ion logam alumunium sangat rendah (tidak efektif). Zeolit A (10 mesh) mampu menurunkan konsentrasialumunium hingga -0,558% sedangkan zeolit B (5 mesh) hingga 6,84%. Ukuran zeolit cenderung tidak memperlihatkan pengaruh yang signifikan. Waktu paling efektif zeolit dapat menerapion logam aluminium adalah menit pertama. Air yang dihasilkan belum memenuhi baku mutu air kolam renang sesuai Peraturan Menteri Kesehatan Nomor : 416/MEN.KES/PER/IX/1990 yaitu konsentrasiAlumunium kurang dari 0-0,2 mg/L.

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine the optimum potential and optimum time of elektrocoagulationprocess, with aluminum and graphite electrodes to reduce hypochlorite ions form the water pool anddetermine the concentration of hypochlorite ions before and after electrocoagulation process. Thesubject of this research was optimum electric potential and optimum time of electrocoagulationefficiency against hypochlorite reduction. The Object of this research was hypochlorite ions in poolwater Hercules Maguwoharjo Yogyakarta. The Optimization of the electrical voltage was done onvariation 4, 6, 8, 10, and 12 volts and optimization of the time electrocoagulation process was doneon variations 2, 4, 6, and 8 hours. Parameters used are concentration of hypochlorite ions in thewater. The Effectiveness of electrocoagulation was seen from the graph of changes in theconcentration of hypochlorite ions after electrocoagulation process. The determination ofhypochlorite content was using uv-vis spectrophotometry with wavelength 556 nm. The resultsshowed that the highest electric potential is 12 volt and the longest time of electrocoagulation processis 8 hours. The Use of electrocoagulation method for pool water treatment effectively decreases theconsentration of hypochlorite ions.Keywords : elektrocoagulation, hypochlorite, aluminum, graphite.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) kategori kelengkapan alat danbahan laboratorium kimia di SMA Negeri 1 Pleret, Bantul, DIY, 2) kategoriketerampilan praktikum kimia peserta didik kelas X semester genap SMA Negeri1 Pleret, Bantul, DIY, dan 3) hubungan antara kelengkapan alat dan bahanlaboratorium dengan keterampilan praktikum kimia dan prestasi peserta didik.Materi praktikum yang dipilih dalam penelitian ini adalah materi larutan elektrolitdan non elektrolit.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan populasi peserta didikkelas X semester genap di SMA Negeri 1 Pleret, Bantul, DIY, dan sampel pesertadidik kelas X-A dan X-B yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling.Instrumen yang digunakan berupa daftar cek atau checklist kelengkapan alat danbahan laboratorium kimia, lembar observasi keterampilan praktikum, dan lembarangket. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis deskriptif untukkategori dan uji korelasi product moment.Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah kelengkapan alat dan bahan laboratoriumkimia di SMA Negeri 1 Pleret dikategorikan lengkap dengan nilai 116.Keterampilan praktikum kimia peserta didik kelas X semester genap di SMANegeri 1 Pleret dikategorikan sangat terampil dengan nilai 65,11. Terdapathubungan antara kelengkapan alat dan bahan laboratorium dengan keterampilanpraktikum peserta didik, tidak terdapat hubungan antara keterampilan praktikumkimia dengan prestasi peserta didik, dan terdapat hubungan antara kelengkapanalat dan bahan laboratorium dengan prestasi peserta didik.
