Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate the validity and reliability of a conflict management scale specifically designed for students of Muhammadiyah senior high schools in Yogyakarta City. The development process began with constructing indicators based on Robbins and Judge’s five dimensions competition, collaboration, avoidance, accommodation, and compromise followed by content validation by nine experts using Aiken’s V. The analysis produced V values ranging from 0.638 to 0.972 (>0.50), indicating that all items were suitable for further testing. The scale was then administered to 363 students aged 14–19 years from seven Muhammadiyah senior high schools. Participants were selected through purposive sampling based on the criteria of being active students in grades X, XI, and XII. Data were analyzed using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with LISREL to verify the factor structure. The results demonstrated good model fit (χ²/df = 1.24; RMSEA = 0.028; GFI = 0.92; AGFI = 0.90; CFI = 0.99). Construct reliability was achieved, with Composite Reliability values ranging from 0.840 to 0.890 and Average Variance Extracted values above 0.50 across all dimensions. Descriptive findings showed that accommodation was the most dominant conflict management style among students. Overall, the scale is valid, reliable, and suitable for psychological assessment and for supporting character education programs in schools. These findings guide readers to consider how conflict management patterns shape student character development in educational settings.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between self-acceptance and flourishing among students working in Yogyakarta. Flourishing is the focus because it reflects optimal psychological well-being, which includes positive emotions, engagement, healthy social relationships, meaning in life, and achievement, all of which are important aspects for students facing the dual burden of academics and work. Self-acceptance is a primary concern because it serves as the foundation for psychological well-being, helping individuals accept their strengths and weaknesses fully, thereby increasing their resilience to pressure and stress. The study used a correlational quantitative approach with 244 student respondents aged 18-27 years. Data were collected using the Flourishing scale based on the PERMA model (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.886; 17 items) and the Self-Acceptance scale (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.793; 19 items). Analysis used normality tests, linearity tests, and Spearman's correlation. The results showed that the majority of respondents were in the moderate category for both variables, namely 89.34% for flourishing and 61.89% for self-acceptance. Spearman's correlation showed a significant positive relationship between self-acceptance and flourishing (r = 0.558; p = 0.000), with self-acceptance explaining approximately 27.7% of the variation in flourishing. These findings confirm the important role of self-acceptance in supporting the psychological well-being of working students. This study is expected to serve as the basis for developing interventions that target increasing self-acceptance to improve student flourishing.

Abstract

Sustainability issues are increasingly becoming a major focus in the modern business environment, prompting companies to disclose their social and environmental responsibilities through Sustainability Reports (SRs). This study aims to analyze the impact of sustainability report disclosure on company value among companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2023–2025 period. Company value is measured using the Price to Book Value (PBV) ratio, while SR disclosure rate is assessed based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) index. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis, with control variables including company size, profitability (ROA), and capital structure (DER).The results of the study show that the disclosure of sustainability reports has a positive and significant effect on the company's value. In addition, company size and ROA were also found to have a significant effect on company value, while DER did not show a significant influence. These findings support legitimacy theory and stakeholder theory, which suggest that sustainability disclosures can increase market confidence and strengthen a company's valuation. The study concludes that SR is not just a compliance document, but a strategic tool to shape investor perceptions and create long-term economic value.

Abstract

This study investigates the evolving role of communication in shaping Indonesia’s mass demonstrations in 2019 and 2025, two pivotal episodes reflecting civic discontent and the transformation of the digital media landscape. Grounded in agenda-setting theory, framing theory, and Habermas’s public sphere theory, this research examines how digital communication has shifted from rational discourse to affective and algorithmic mediation. The study hypothesizes that changes in media ecology influence not only public mobilisation but also the legitimacy of civic movements. Employing a comparative digital ethnography, this research analyses online communication practices, visual narratives, and misinformation across platforms such as Twitter (2019) and TikTok/Instagram (2025). Data were collected from user-generated content, hashtags, and visual artefacts, followed by interpretive coding to explore evolving communication logics and the algorithmic amplification of affective messages. Findings reveal a transformation from the networked public sphere of 2019—dominated by text-based civic idealism—to the algorithmic public sphere of 2025, characterised by visual storytelling, emotional contagion, and platform-driven visibility. While digital networks expanded participatory opportunities, they simultaneously fostered misinformation, algorithmic manipulation, and emotional polarisation. These dynamics illustrate how classical communication theories require integration with affective and algorithmic dimensions to explain contemporary activism. The results align with previous studies on digital democracy, highlighting both empowerment and control in mediated civic engagement. The study concludes that Indonesia’s evolving digital public sphere embodies both the promise and the peril of democratic communication. It underscores the dual function of communication—as a vehicle for civic empowerment and as a mechanism of algorithmic governance—in shaping public trust and deliberation.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana pengalaman patah hati berhubungan dengan tingkat depresi di kalangan Generasi Z yang tinggal di Kota Magelang. Generasi Z cenderung rentan terhadap depresi akibat tekanan emosional dari hubungan sosial yang kompleks. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 100 orang partisipan Generasi Z yang telah mengalami patah hati, yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) untuk mengukur tingkat depresi dan Skala Perasaan Putus Cinta yang berdasarkan teori Lavie (2004). Proses analisis data dilakukan melalui uji korelasi Pearson Product Moment dengan bantuan SPSS versi 16. Hasil uji reliabilitas menunjukkan nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,893, yang menunjukkan bahwa konsistensi internalnya sangat tinggi. Distribusi data adalah normal (Asymp. Sig = 0,669 > 0,05) dan hubungan antara variabel adalah linear (Sig. Deviation from Linearity = 0,150 > 0,05). Analisis menunjukkan nilai korelasi (R) sebesar 0,674 dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05, menandakan adanya hubungan positif yang signifikan antara pengalaman patah hati dan depresi. Nilai determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,454 menunjukkan bahwa 45,4% variasi dalam tingkat depresi dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman putus cinta. Temuan ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya dukungan sosial dan intervensi psikologis bagi mereka yang mengalami patah hati.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the competence of teachers at SDN 1 Sumber Agung in utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) and educational games as innovative learning tools. The program was conducted through workshops, mentoring sessions, and hands-on practice using various AI platforms and simple educational game development aligned with classroom content. Evaluation using a Likert-scale questionnaire indicates that teachers responded positively in several aspects, including understanding the material, ease of technology use, ability to apply AI media and educational games, and increased creativity in designing learning activities. The results demonstrate that the training effectively strengthened teachers’ technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge (TPACK) in an integrated manner. The program also increased teachers’ enthusiasm for adopting digital innovations and broadened the variety of learning strategies used in the classroom. Overall, this program successfully supported a shift toward more interactive, engaging, and student-centered learning practices.

Abstract

This article presents the results of a community service program focused on training teachers of SDN 1 Sumber Agung in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and gamification to enhance teaching performance. The training included developing digital learning media using Canva, Wordwall, and Zep Quiz as practical examples of simple and applicable gamification strategies. The method was implemented through workshops, hands-on practice, and evaluation using teacher feedback questionnaires. The results indicate that teachers rated the training highly in terms of relevance, ease of use, and usefulness in improving creativity and classroom instructional effectiveness. The findings align with the TAM and UTAUT frameworks as well as gamification theories, which emphasize the role of perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness in technology adoption. Overall, the program significantly improved teachers’ digital competencies and fostered an innovative, technology-driven learning culture within the school.

Abstract

This study focuses on the relationship between social support and self-acceptance levels in individuals living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA). This study was conducted using a quantitative approach with a correlational design, involving 60 PLWHA respondents from a foundation in Yogyakarta, selected through purposive sampling. Data collection used the self-acceptance scale instrument by Bernard (2019) and the social support scale developed by Zimet and colleagues (2021). Statistical testing results showed a significant positive correlation between the two variables (r = 0.528), where social support contributed 36.2% to the variation in self-acceptance. This finding suggests that support from the immediate environment plays a crucial role in helping PLWHA achieve better self-acceptance. This study highlights that social support, including emotional and practical assistance, contributes significantly to the psychological well-being of PLWHA. Furthermore, these findings underscore the need for professional and family support systems in fostering self-acceptance among individuals facing the challenges of HIV/AIDS. This study provides valuable insights into psychosocial interventions that can improve the quality of life of PLWHA, emphasizing the crucial role of social networks in the acceptance process.

Abstract

Data Data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2022 shows that Indonesia ranks second in terms of the highest number of malnutrition cases among 84 countries, with a total of 812,564 infants. In South Kalimantan, based on 2020 data, the prevalence of stunting reached 11.9% and underweight infants reached 6.5%. The highest prevalence of underweight infants was found in Banjar District at 10.9%, while the highest prevalence of malnutrition reached 14.5%. Isap Buyu is a term in the beliefs of the South Kalimantan community referring to the condition of underweight infants who have difficulty gaining weight and face developmental delays. Isap Buyu is believed to be a disease caused by disturbances from supernatural beings, so its treatment often involves traditional Isap Buyu rituals. This study aims to analyze the relationship between belief in Isap Buyu and the occurrence of malnutrition in infants. The study uses a qualitative method with semi-structured interviews with four informants selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis was conducted through reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate a relationship between community beliefs about Isap Buyu and an increased risk of malnutrition in infants. These beliefs lead the community to prefer traditional treatments over healthcare services, which may worsen the infants' condition. Additionally, factors such as breastfeeding, dietary patterns, and the presence of comorbidities also contribute to the occurrence of malnutrition.   ABSTRAK Data World Health Organization (WHO) tahun 2022 mencatat Indonesia menempati urutan kedua kasus gizi buruk tertinggi dari 84 negara dengan jumlah 812.564 balita. Di Kalimantan Selatan, berdasarkan data tahun 2020 prevalensi stunting mencapai 11,9% dan balita kurus 6,5%. Kasus tertinggi balita kurus ditemukan di Kabupaten Banjar sebesar 10,9%, sedangkan kasus gizi kurang tertinggi mencapai 14,5%. Isap Buyu merupakan istilah dalam kepercayaan masyarakat Kalimantan Selatan yang merujuk pada kondisi balita kurus, sulit gemuk dan mengalami hambatan dalam tumbuh kembang. Isap Buyu dipercaya sebagai penyakit akibat gangguan makhluk halus, sehingga penanganannya sering dilakukan dengan ritual tradisional Isap Buyu. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan kepercayaan terhadap Isap Buyu dengan kejadian gizi buruk pada balita. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan wawancara semi terstruktur terhadap 4 orang informan yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi, penyajian dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap Isap Buyu dan meningkatnya risiko gizi buruk pada balita. Kepercayaan tersebut membuat masyarakat cenderung lebih memilih pengobatan tradisional dibandingkan layanan kesehatan yang dapat memperburuk kondisi balita. Selain itu, faktor pemberian ASI, pola asupan makanan, serta adanya penyakit penyerta juga turut berkontribusi terhadap terjadinya gizi buruk.

Abstract

Pelaku usaha mikro sering menghadapi permasalahan pengelolaan keuangan akibat rendahnya literasi pencatatan, perencanaan arus kas, serta pemisahan keuangan usaha dan rumah tangga. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kapasitas manajemen keuangan pelaku usaha melalui pelatihan pembukuan sederhana, pendampingan, dan simulasi praktik. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis kebutuhan, pelatihan partisipatif, praktik terbimbing, serta evaluasi melalui pengukuran pemahaman sebelum dan sesudah kegiatan. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap pencatatan keuangan, kemampuan menyusun buku kas sederhana, serta perubahan perilaku dalam memisahkan keuangan pribadi dan usaha. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi pada penguatan ekonomi keluarga dan keberlanjutan usaha mikro, sehingga pendampingan literasi keuangan perlu dilakukan secara berkelanjutan.
