Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of internalizing Islamic moral values from an early age to build children’s character based on Islamic teachings. The research problems focused on the forms of internalization of Islamic moral values through habituation based on the exemplary conduct of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and the supporting and inhibiting factors at PAUD Kasih Bersama Central Bengkulu. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the internalization of Islamic moral values was carried out through habituation activities such as greetings, smiling, daily prayers, honesty, politeness, compassion, and helping others based on the example of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Supporting factors included consistent habituation, interesting learning methods, and a conducive school environment. Inhibiting factors included the influence of gadgets, differences in parenting styles, and differences in children’s characteristics. Habituation based on the exemplary conduct of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had a positive impact on children’s moral development.

Abstract

Background: Digital developments have a very important impact on educational aspects. This impact also causes transformational changes in aspects of education, as in aspects of approaches to understanding religious concepts for students. The learning method called the flipped classroom is relatively new. With the development of digitalization, such as internet access as well as software and other supports, the flipped classroom method is increasingly developing. In conventional education, teachers only give lessons, then to increase knowledge about these lessons, students complete work at school and are given homework. In flipped classroom learning, students play a role in designing the teaching and learning process, including film shows, studying PPTs and looking for learning resources provided by teachers through online media such as e-learning. Studies show that using a Flipped Classroom can foster student enthusiasm. Objective: To provide a brief review of the latest explanation of the flipped classroom strategy in increasing understanding of religious concepts in the digital era. Method: In preparing this journal, the author used a literature study approach, using various reference sources related to the Flipped classroom in increasing students' understanding of religious concepts. Results: Technological developments have a very important impact on educational aspects and also have an impact on other aspects. This impact triggers a transformation in aspects of education, such as instilling religious concepts in students, so that teachers need to create active forms of learning that are in harmony with the personalities of students in this era, so that students can easily understand various concepts.

Abstract

A comparison between Islamic educational practices and the emergence of multicultural principles during three major phases of Islamic civilization: the era of the Prophet Muhammad, the period of the Companions, and the Islamic Golden Age. Using a qualitative-historical approach, this study analyzes classical Islamic texts, historical sources, and contemporary academic works. Findings reveal that Islamic education has been inherently multicultural, emphasizing tolerance, justice, equality, pluralism, and intellectual openness. During the Prophet’s time, multicultural values were implemented through the teaching of Qur’anic ethics and the Charter of Medina. The Companions institutionalized these values through governance and public education. Meanwhile, the Islamic Golden Age demonstrated the highest multicultural expression through knowledge translation, cross-cultural academic collaboration, and institutional learning spaces such as Bayt al-Hikmah. This research concludes that Islamic education historically practiced multicultural frameworks long before the formation of modern multicultural educational theories.
