Abstract

This study examines the influence of Holistic Marketing on the Sustainability of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Sukabumi Regency, with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) as the mediation variable. This topic is very crucial because even though MSMEs are the backbone of the national economy, the majority still face significant obstacles in internalizing the sustainability values needed to maintain competitiveness in the digital economy era. In particular, this study fills a gap in the literature by exploring how a holistic marketing approach can be a key driver of ESG adoption in developing countries. Using a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) technique, data was collected from 200 MSME actors. The results of the analysis showed that Holistic Marketing had a significant positive effect on ESG (β = 0.566; p <0.001), indicating that comprehensive and digital-centric marketing strategies successfully improve ethical awareness and practices. ESG has a positive effect on Business Sustainability (β = 0.375; p <0.001) and has been shown to play a role as a partial mediator that strengthens the direct influence of Holistic Marketing on Business Sustainability (β = 0.329; p <0.001). The primary novelty of this study lies in the empirical evidence that the integration of digital-based holistic marketing and ESG represents a vital mechanism for MSME resilience in developing regions, a model that has been rarely explored in empirical research in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Islamic hospitality industry faces a tough challenge in maintaining repurchase intentions amid increasingly fierce competition. Although social media marketing activities (SMMAs) have become the dominant strategy, the psychological mechanisms that explain the conversion of these activities into repetitive buying behaviors are still not optimally internalized; This is reflected in the empirical paradox in which increased digital investment successfully attracts new visitors, but fails to prevent a drastic decline in retention rates. This causal explanatory research aims to analyze the role of brand awareness (BA) mediation in the relationship between SMMA and buyback intention (RI) in the context of Islamic boarding houses, as well as validate relevant theoretical frameworks. Using the Partial Smallest Square Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) on a sample of 98 respondents who are actual customers of Islamic boarding schools in West Java, the results of the study prove that SMMA has a significant effect on the Republic of Indonesia, both directly and indirectly through the mediation of BA. In particular, Brand Awareness has been shown to act as a significant partial mediation mechanism, while also confirming the Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) Framework in the sharia hospitality market. These findings provide crucial practical implications for sharia lodging managers to shift the focus of their social media content strategy: optimizing efforts that consistently build brand recall and brand recognition instead of simply pursuing reach metrics), thus being able to transform brand awareness into continuous repeat buying behavior.

Abstract

Objectives: The coffee industry is characterized by intense competition, shifting consumer preferences, and vulnerability to external disruptions, creating challenges for businesses aiming to maintain sustainable performance. This study investigates the role of dynamic capabilities in shaping program uniqueness and enhancing business performance, with strategic flexibility examined as a mediating factor.Methodology: Adopting a quantitative research design, the study utilizes a structured questionnaire distributed among decision-makers in small and medium-sized coffee enterprises across Indonesia, and analyzes the data using Structural Equation Modeling with AMOS.Finding: The findings provide both theoretical advancement and practical implications for SMEs in the coffee sector by highlighting the importance of resource orchestration and adaptive strategies in sustaining competitive advantage. This research contributes to the broader discourse on strategic management and SME development, offering valuable insights for academics, practitioners, and policymakers aiming to enhance resilience and innovation in dynamic industry environments. Bottom of FormConclusion: The results demonstrate that dynamic capabilities specifically sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring resources positively influence the development of unique programs and contribute to improved business outcomes. Furthermore, the presence of a flexibility strategy significantly mediates the effect of dynamic capabilities, enabling firms to adapt more effectively to environmental changes and align their strategic initiatives with market demands. By integrating the Conservation of Resources (COR) theory into the dynamic capabilities framework, this study offers a novel theoretical perspective on how firms can protect, allocate, and optimize resources under conditions of uncertainty.

Abstract

The current study investigates the relationship Information Communication Technology (ICT) and social media adoption, with Small Medium Enterprise (SME) performance in West Java, Indonesia, utilizing digital literacy as a mediator variable.   The Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) paradigm was utilized in conjunction with Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) theory to evaluate the impact of nine technological, organizational, and environmental features on ICT adoption.  To collect data, an online questionnaire was distributed to 396 small business owners, executives, and supervisors in West Java, and the results were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling. According to the findings, organizational and contextual variables had a substantial impact on both ICT acceptance as well as digital literacy, but technological factors only influenced ICT adoption. The study found that ICT usage improves SME performance both directly and indirectly through the mediation of digital literacy.  The study broadens the TOE framework by incorporating previously underutilized factors like interactivity, visibility, and the bandwagon effect, while also providing empirical evidence of digital literacy's critical role in improving the relationship between technology adoption and business performance.  These findings provide useful insights for SME stakeholders in emerging economies looking to capitalize on digital transformation for a competitive advantage, emphasizing the significance of complete digital literacy development alongside technology adoption efforts.

Abstract

Rapid changes in the educational environment require schools to have adaptive and visionary leadership strategies. Competition between educational institutions and increasing public expectations for service quality add to the complexity of the challenges of managing educational institutions. In this context, the strategic role of school executives becomes crucial as the determinant of direction and the main driver of institutional transformation. This study aims to analyze how school executives design and implement strategies in building competitive advantages amidst the ever-evolving dynamics. This study uses a qualitative approach by relying on data from various relevant sources, such as previous research and institutional strategic documents. The data obtained are analyzed interpretively to reveal patterns and tendencies in strategic leadership practices in schools. The results of the study indicate that school executives have a central role in determining the direction of policies and program priorities that impact the quality and competitiveness of institutions. Success in building competitiveness is greatly influenced by the leadership's ability to respond to change, manage resources, and involve stakeholders. Although there are various challenges in implementing strategies, consistent and reflective leadership can maintain the continuity of planning and implementation on an ongoing basis.
