Abstract

The current study investigates the relationship Information Communication Technology (ICT) and social media adoption, with Small Medium Enterprise (SME) performance in West Java, Indonesia, utilizing digital literacy as a mediator variable.   The Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) paradigm was utilized in conjunction with Diffusion of Innovation (DOI) theory to evaluate the impact of nine technological, organizational, and environmental features on ICT adoption.  To collect data, an online questionnaire was distributed to 396 small business owners, executives, and supervisors in West Java, and the results were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling. According to the findings, organizational and contextual variables had a substantial impact on both ICT acceptance as well as digital literacy, but technological factors only influenced ICT adoption. The study found that ICT usage improves SME performance both directly and indirectly through the mediation of digital literacy.  The study broadens the TOE framework by incorporating previously underutilized factors like interactivity, visibility, and the bandwagon effect, while also providing empirical evidence of digital literacy's critical role in improving the relationship between technology adoption and business performance.  These findings provide useful insights for SME stakeholders in emerging economies looking to capitalize on digital transformation for a competitive advantage, emphasizing the significance of complete digital literacy development alongside technology adoption efforts.

Abstract

Rapid changes in the educational environment require schools to have adaptive and visionary leadership strategies. Competition between educational institutions and increasing public expectations for service quality add to the complexity of the challenges of managing educational institutions. In this context, the strategic role of school executives becomes crucial as the determinant of direction and the main driver of institutional transformation. This study aims to analyze how school executives design and implement strategies in building competitive advantages amidst the ever-evolving dynamics. This study uses a qualitative approach by relying on data from various relevant sources, such as previous research and institutional strategic documents. The data obtained are analyzed interpretively to reveal patterns and tendencies in strategic leadership practices in schools. The results of the study indicate that school executives have a central role in determining the direction of policies and program priorities that impact the quality and competitiveness of institutions. Success in building competitiveness is greatly influenced by the leadership's ability to respond to change, manage resources, and involve stakeholders. Although there are various challenges in implementing strategies, consistent and reflective leadership can maintain the continuity of planning and implementation on an ongoing basis.

Abstract

Objectives: The coffee industry is characterized by intense competition, shifting consumer preferences, and vulnerability to external disruptions, creating challenges for businesses aiming to maintain sustainable performance. This study investigates the role of dynamic capabilities in shaping program uniqueness and enhancing business performance, with strategic flexibility examined as a mediating factor.Methodology: Adopting a quantitative research design, the study utilizes a structured questionnaire distributed among decision-makers in small and medium-sized coffee enterprises across Indonesia, and analyzes the data using Structural Equation Modeling with AMOS.Finding: The findings provide both theoretical advancement and practical implications for SMEs in the coffee sector by highlighting the importance of resource orchestration and adaptive strategies in sustaining competitive advantage. This research contributes to the broader discourse on strategic management and SME development, offering valuable insights for academics, practitioners, and policymakers aiming to enhance resilience and innovation in dynamic industry environments. Bottom of FormConclusion: The results demonstrate that dynamic capabilities specifically sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring resources positively influence the development of unique programs and contribute to improved business outcomes. Furthermore, the presence of a flexibility strategy significantly mediates the effect of dynamic capabilities, enabling firms to adapt more effectively to environmental changes and align their strategic initiatives with market demands. By integrating the Conservation of Resources (COR) theory into the dynamic capabilities framework, this study offers a novel theoretical perspective on how firms can protect, allocate, and optimize resources under conditions of uncertainty.

Abstract

The rapid growth of e-commerce in Indonesia has increased the strategic role of e-logistics services in shaping customer experience and competitiveness, particularly in West Java as one of the largest logistics markets. This study aims to examine the effect of e-logistics service quality on customer loyalty, with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable. A quantitative research approach was employed using a survey method. Data were collected from 200 e-logistics service users in West Java through structured questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0. The results reveal that e-logistics service quality has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. Customer satisfaction also has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. However, e-logistics service quality does not directly influence customer loyalty. Further analysis confirms that customer satisfaction fully mediates the relationship between e-logistics service quality and customer loyalty. These findings indicate that improving service quality alone is insufficient to foster customer loyalty unless it is translated into perceived satisfaction. This study highlights the strategic role of customer satisfaction as a key mechanism linking service quality and loyalty in the e-logistics context. The results provide theoretical contributions to service quality and loyalty models in digital logistics, as well as practical implications for e-logistics providers and e-commerce platforms in designing customer-oriented service strategies to enhance long-term customer retention in West Java.

Abstract

Objectives: In the context of rising global competition and shifting consumer demands, coffee enterprises face increasing pressure to innovate while maintaining consistent business performance. This study investigates the role of dynamic capabilities in enhancing business performance through the mediating mechanism of ambidextrous innovation within the Indonesian coffee industry. Methodology: Adopting a quantitative, explanatory research design, the study collected primary data from 362 decision-makers representing various types of coffee businesses, including cafés, roasteries, and producers. Using structural equation modeling with Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM), the study tested both direct and indirect relationships among dynamic capabilities, ambidextrous innovation, and business performance. Finding: The findings reveal that dynamic capabilities—specifically sensing, seizing, and reconfiguring—positively influence both exploitative and explorative innovation strategies, which in turn significantly improve multiple dimensions of business performance. Moreover, ambidextrous innovation was found to partially mediate the relationship between dynamic capabilities and performance outcomes, underscoring its strategic importance in resource-constrained environments. The study contributes to the theoretical development of dynamic capabilities and innovation management by extending the application of Conservation of Resources (COR) Theory to the context of small and medium-sized enterprises in emerging markets. Conclusion: It also offers practical insights for managers and policymakers seeking to foster innovation-driven growth in the agri-food and service sectors.

Abstract

This study investigates how specific spreadsheet characteristics influence Shadow IT emergence in e-government implementations, examining the digital literacy and organizational context in rural and urban government settings. Employing a mixed-methods approach, this research surveyed 285 government employees across 45 government offices implementing e-government systems in Indonesia. Structural Equation Modeling analyzed relationships between spreadsheet characteristics and Shadow IT adoption. Qualitative interviews with 32 participants provided contextual insights through thematic analysis. Results reveal that spreadsheet flexibility (β = 0.42, p < 0.001) and user autonomy (β = 0.38, p < 0.001) significantly predict Shadow IT adoption. Digital literacy negatively moderates these relationships (β = -0.23, p < 0.01), with lower literacy strengthening the spreadsheet-Shadow IT link. Rural contexts show 34% higher Shadow IT prevalence compared to urban settings.

Abstract

Education in remote island regions, such as the Kepulauan Seribu, faces unique challenges due to geographical isolation, limited infrastructure, and unequal access to technology, creating disparities in learning quality compared to urban areas. Teachers in this region often lack access to professional development programs. This community service (PkM) program was designed to improve the competence of 15 teachers (Elementary, Junior, Senior High) in implementing creative and innovative learning strategies adapted to the local context. Using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, the program involved five stages: needs identification, innovative model design (including blended learning and project-based learning), intensive training via workshops and micro-teaching, implementation, and mentoring and evaluation. The results showed that teachers became more confident in utilizing available simple technology and were able to design contextual learning strategies based on local potential, such as marine ecosystems or tourism. Teachers also successfully applied interactive methods to increase student engagement and found the mindful, meaningful, joyful learning approach highly suitable for creating a positive classroom atmosphere. This program concludes that strengthening teacher capacity through adaptive strategies effectively enhances competence and offers a replicable educational empowerment model for other remote (3T) regions.
