Abstract

Social Studies (IPS) learning in elementary schools plays a strategic role in shaping students' social values, such as mutual cooperation, tolerance, empathy, and social responsibility. One approach that is considered effective in achieving these goals is the integration of local wisdom into IPS learning. This study aims to systematically examine how local wisdom-based IPS learning contributes to strengthening the social values of elementary school students. The method used was a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with reference to the PRISMA guidelines. Articles were collected from national and international journals published between 2019 and 2025, focusing on social studies learning, local wisdom, and the social values of elementary school students. A total of 22 articles that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed and classified based on the study theme. The results of the study show that local wisdom-based social studies learning is consistently able to strengthen students' social values through the integration of cultural traditions, social practices, and contextual learning activities. Local wisdom serves as a concrete learning resource for internalizing the values of mutual cooperation, empathy, tolerance, and responsibility, which can develop students' social identity, social skills, and solidarity in the community. In addition, the findings also reveal implementation challenges, particularly related to teacher readiness, availability of teaching materials, and understanding of local culture. Overall, local wisdom-based social studies learning has proven to be relevant and effective as a pedagogical approach in strengthening the social values of elementary school students and supporting the development of contextual and sustainable social studies learning.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPS di SD perlu mengintegrasikan teknologi digital untuk meningkatkan kesadaran sosial, namun efektivitasnya belum disintesis secara sistematis. Tinjauan pustaka sistematis ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi dan efektivitas model Inkuiri Sosial berbasis digital dalam pendidikan IPS dasar. Mengikuti pedoman PRISMA, dengan menelusuri Google Cendekia menggunakan kata kunci “Inkuiri Sosial”, “pembelajaran digital”, “studi sosial”, “kesadaran sosial” untuk artikel yang diterbitkan tahun 2017-2025. Sepuluh studi memenuhi kriteria inklusi: fokus sekolah dasar, implementasi Inkuiri Sosial, dan publikasi yang telah melalui tinjauan sejawat. Lima studi (50%) mengintegrasikan teknologi digital melalui multimedia interaktif, modul berbasis web, dan aplikasi seluler. Lima studi (50%) mengukur hasil kesadaran sosial, melaporkan peningkatan dalam empati, tanggung jawab sosial, dan kesadaran lingkungan. Bukti awal menunjukkan bahwa Inkuiri Sosial berbasis digital menjanjikan untuk mengembangkan kesadaran sosial, meskipun studi yang lebih mendalam diperlukan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and the improvement of understanding of Social Studies (IPS) concepts in elementary school students through a literature study. The research method used is a literature study by reviewing various scientific sources such as journals, books, and relevant and credible research reports. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis techniques to identify patterns of findings, advantages, and challenges in the application of PBL in social studies learning. The results of the study indicate that PBL is consistently related to an increase in understanding of social studies concepts, because students are directly involved in an authentic problem-solving process, thus being able to connect social concepts with real situations in their environment. PBL has also been shown to increase learning participation, curiosity, critical thinking skills, and higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). In addition, interaction and collaboration in groups make students more skilled in communicating ideas and developing solutions to social problems. However, the implementation of PBL faces several challenges such as the need for longer time, teacher readiness in designing contextual problems, and limited supporting learning resources. Overall, this study confirms that PBL is an effective, meaningful, and relevant learning strategy to improve the quality of social studies learning while supporting the development of 21st-century competencies in elementary school students.

Abstract

Pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di Sekolah Dasar menghadapi berbagai tantangan dalam menghubungkan konsep akademik dengan pengalaman konkret peserta didik. Pendekatan Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dianggap sebagai solusi yang menekankan keterkaitan antara materi pelajaran dan konteks kehidupan nyata agar proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan CTL dalam pembelajaran IPS di Sekolah Dasar melalui analisis literatur kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data terdiri dari buku, artikel ilmiah, dan hasil penelitian yang relevan mengenai CTL dan pembelajaran IPS. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa CTL sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa pada tahap operasional konkret serta efektif dalam meningkatkan partisipasi, kemampuan berpikir kritis, dan hasil belajar siswa. Pendekatan ini juga sejalan dengan prinsip Kurikulum Merdeka dan berkontribusi pada pembentukan Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Oleh karena itu, CTL direkomendasikan sebagai strategi pembelajaran kontekstual yang aplikatif dan relevan di Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the publication of Digital Media-Based Conflict Resolution Education Trends as a Peaceful School Program in Elementary Schools using VOSviewer with the Publish or Perish application. This research has been published for ten years (2018 to 2023), finding 996 articles relevant to the research. The results of this research found five areas pertinent to the study that were explored, namely the terms conflict resolution skills, digital media, programs, peacebuilding, and schools, with details of publications from 2013 to 2014 experiencing an increase. Publications from 2014 to 2015 had the same number of publications, namely 119, and increased in 2016. However, the number of articles from 2017 to 2022 continued to decline until only 15 articles were published. However, there will be an increase in 2023, reaching 29 articles. Data shows that the trend of digital media-based conflict resolution education as a peace school program in elementary schools is decreasing. Through VOSviewer, this research analyzes many published articles related to this topic. The impact of this review will be a reference for conducting further research on this topic in the future.

Abstract

The phenomenon of corruption in Indonesia has become a complex and systemic social problem , transcending moral, legal, and cultural boundaries. Corrupt practices not only cause material losses and undermine the governance system, but also have a significant impact on the character formation of the younger generation. This study aims to analyze the relationship between corrupt practices and the formation of moral values, ethics, and integrity of Indonesia's younger generation through a mixed literature study approach. This method combines systematic review ( Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with theoretical analysis of morality and social issues. The study results show that corruption causes a degradation of the values of honesty, responsibility, and social trust among adolescents and young adults. The crisis of public role models reinforces moral dissonance, which hinders the development of post-conventional character. The main findings confirm that anti-corruption character education based on the social ecosystem—including family, school, media, and community—plays a crucial role in building the moral immunity of the younger generation. This study suggests a Social -Moral Immunity model. Framework (SMIF) which emphasizes collaboration between the government, educational institutions, and civil society to form a generation with integrity and resilience against the normalization of corrupt behavior.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a tropical country, possesses abundant biodiversity, including medicinal plants that hold great potential in supporting both public health and economic resilience. This community service program was conducted in Pegagan Village, Cirebon Regency, in response to the economic downturn and limited employment opportunities faced by local youth due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The main objective of this program was to empower youth through training in the construction and utilization of a Green Lapak (a sustainable planting structure) for cultivating herbal plants that can be processed into traditional health beverages. The methods included several strategic stages: socialization, technical training, field practice, and structured mentoring and evaluation using Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and checklist forms. The results showed that youth participants, organized under the BhoBand community group, gained sufficient knowledge and skills to independently cultivate herbal plants using eco-friendly materials such as bamboo and paranet. This program effectively enhanced local skills, environmental awareness, and economic opportunities. With a collaborative and participatory approach, this initiative has the potential to be expanded as a sustainable economic empowerment model based on local herbal resources.   Abstrak Indonesia sebagai negara tropis memiliki kekayaan hayati, termasuk tanaman herbal yang berpotensi besar dalam menunjang kesehatan dan perekonomian masyarakat. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Desa Pegagan, Kabupaten Cirebon, sebagai respons terhadap dampak pandemi COVID-19 yang menyebabkan penurunan pendapatan dan keterbatasan akses pekerjaan bagi pemuda setempat. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah memberdayakan pemuda melalui pelatihan pembuatan Green Lapak sebagai media budidaya tanaman herbal yang dapat diolah menjadi produk minuman tradisional bernilai ekonomi. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian meliputi beberapa tahapan strategis, mulai dari sosialisasi, pelatihan teknis, praktik pembuatan Green Lapak, hingga pendampingan dan evaluasi melalui diskusi kelompok terfokus dan lembar ceklist. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pemuda yang tergabung dalam komunitas BhoBand mampu memahami dan mempraktikkan budidaya tanaman herbal secara mandiri, memanfaatkan bahan lokal seperti bambu dan paranet dalam pembangunan Green Lapak. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan, partisipasi, dan kesadaran lingkungan masyarakat, serta membuka peluang ekonomi baru berbasis potensi lokal. Dengan pendekatan kolaboratif dan partisipatif, pengabdian ini berpotensi dikembangkan lebih lanjut sebagai model pemberdayaan ekonomi berkelanjutan berbasis tanaman herbal. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap materi keragaman budaya di Kelas V SD. Hal tersebut terlihat dari keterbatasan siswa dalam menjelaskan berbagai bentuk keragaman budaya secara menyeluruh. Hal ini disebabkan media pembelajaran yang digunakan masih terbatas dalam penggunaan buku cetak dan powerpoint sederhana, sehingga siswa kesulitan dalam memahami materi yang bersifat abstrak dan penyajiannya masih terbatas pada teks. Upaya yang dilakukan yaitu menggunakan e-book interaktif yang mampu memvisualisasikan materi secara lebih inovatif dan efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh e-book interaktif pada pembelajaran IPS terhadap pemahaman materi keragaman budaya siswa, pengaruh powerpoint interaktif. serta perbedaan pengaruh kedua media. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain non-equivalent control group design, melibatkan 20 siswa SDN 002 Karang Mulya dan 28 siswa SDN 197 Karang Taruna. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata pada kedua kelas, dengan posttest kelas eksperimen (75,30) lebih tinggi dibanding kelas kontrol (70,68). Nilai signifikasi sebesar <0,001 lebih kecil dari 0,05 sehingga Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dapat disimpulkan tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman antara siswa yang menggunakan e-book interaktif dan powerpoint interaktif.
