Abstract

The development of publications in sports medicine has never been mapped, what themes are trending from year to year, and there are opportunities for interesting themes to be studied in the future. This study aims to determine the trend of publications in the field of sports medicine in Indonesia until 2022. This study was a quantitative study with a bibliometric analysis approach using Vosviewers software using keywords co-occurrence approach on secondary published bibliographic data from the Scopus database and manual exploration of distribution frequency of some variables in the CSV file. The search results found that 260 articles were published in both journals and proceedings indexed by Scopus from 1994 to 2022. The findings showed that there had been an increase in scientific production in the last five years. The University of Indonesia, with a total of 27 documents, became one of the affiliates that contributed the most documents on sports medicine in the Scopus database, while one of the most productive authors was Andri Maruli Tua Lubis, with a total of 5 documents. IOP Conference Series Materials Science and Engineering were the dominant source of documents in the field of sports medicine, with 19 documents. The mapping indicates that injury prevention and increasing physical activity are among the major clusters of research in the area of sports medicine. Finally, the bibliographic analysis also indicated that the integration of sports medicine with technology is still the direction of the future.

Abstract

Background: The smoking trend has now infected school-age children, with 19.2% of students aged 13-15 years in Indonesia and 2,859 children in Malang City recorded as active smokers, which is influenced by a lack of understanding of the dangers of smoking. Educational interventions such as Snakes and Ladders game-based health promotion media must be developed to build a culture of not smoking from an early age. Objectives: The purpose of the study was to develop educational game media in the form of snakes and ladders as a tool for delivering health information about the dangers of smoking to students of Oro-Oro Dowo Malang State Elementary School. Methods: Research and Development (R&D) type research with a one-group pretest and posttest trial aims to determine the effectiveness of the Snakes and Ladders game as a health promotion media on the dangers of smoking behavior. The subjects needed in this study are media experts, material experts, and students aged 9-13 years as research samples. Results: The average result of increasing knowledge is 0.000 using the Wilcoxon test, so there is a difference in the average value of knowledge in the pretest and posttest data. In the feasibility test results, the assessment results were obtained in the very feasible category. Game media is effective and very feasible to be a health promotion media in efforts to promote the dangers of smoking in children. Conclusions: The Snakes and Ladders game media developed is feasible to be a health promotion media in efforts to promote the dangers of smoking behavior in children. The Snakes and Ladders game media influences increasing students' knowledge of Oro-Oro Dowo Malang State Elementary School about the dangers of smoking. Further research needs to evaluate media's long-term impact and adaptation in various socio-cultural contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimization of the role of Sunan Kalijaga Mosque in developing the religiosity of the community in Kertosuko Village, Krucil District, Probolinggo Regency. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation involving mosque administrators, religious leaders, mosque youth, and congregants as informants. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that Sunan Kalijaga Mosque plays a significant role in enhancing community religiosity through three main aspects: worship, religious education, and socio-religious activities. The optimization of the mosque’s role is supported by strong backing from religious and community leaders, deeply rooted religious traditions, and congregants’ awareness of the mosque’s importance as a center for religious development. However, limitations in human resources, insufficient funding, and the lack of long-term program planning hinder the sustainable development of the mosque’s role. This study concludes that strengthening mosque management and strategic planning is essential to enable mosques to function more optimally in fostering the religiosity of rural communities.

Abstract

Writing is one of the four skills in Arabic language acquisition. Improving writingproficiency can be achieved through spelling instruction. Dictation, an exercisecommonly used in Arabic instruction, involves the teacher reciting a text or passage, and the student transcribing it. This study aims to delineate the fundamental types ofwriting errors among first-grade students in a religious school. Employing a qualitativedescriptive research approach, the study utilizes error analysis as its methodologicalframework. Multiple data collection methods, including tests, observations, interviews, and documentation, were employed by the researcher. The results of this study showthat the errors identified in this study encompass mistakes in writing hamza, hamzaomission, letter deletion, letter addition, as well as errors in letter substitution and thewriting of taa. The primary factors contributing to these errors include students'unfamiliarity with correct writing forms, inadequate Arabic writing practice, anddeficiencies in grammar and morphology skills.

Abstract

Background: The health conditions of the community, particularly in relation to the physical fitness of junior high school students, require serious attention, especially in rural areas that differ significantly from urban areas. Previous research findings on dietary patterns and physical fitness still show inconsistent results. Objectives: This study aims to investigate the relationship between healthy eating habits and physical fitness among junior high school students residing in rural areas. Methods: This study used a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The research subjects consisted of 27 students from public junior high schools in rural areas, selected through a balanced stratified random sampling process that involved all grade levels. Eating habits were measured using a 24-hour food recall, as it is an effective method for monitoring food intake over a short period. Physical fitness was measured using the Nusantara Student Fitness Test (TKPN), a national standard instrument. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, Spearman's correlation, and linear regression. Results: Most of the study participants were underweight with varied eating patterns. The analysis results showed no significant relationship between physical fitness and healthy eating patterns, as indicated by a correlation coefficient of 0.061 and a p-value of 0.764. The small effect size suggests that eating patterns did not have a significant impact on fitness levels in this group of participants. Conclusions: The study shows that rural junior high school students achieve their physical fitness through exercise and their exercise-rest patterns and their inherited characteristics rather than their diet.

Abstract

A sedentary lifestyle among adolescents represents a major risk factor for the development of prediabetes and metabolic syndrome, which may affect long-term health outcomes. This condition highlights the importance of comprehensive and sustainable health promotion strategies. This study aims to systematically review health promotion strategies for preventing prediabetes associated with sedentary behavior among adolescents. This study employed a literature review method by analyzing ten selected primary research articles. The articles were screened based on topic relevance, study design, and their focus on health promotion and metabolic syndrome prevention. Data were analyzed using descriptive and thematic approaches to identify key intervention characteristics and outcomes. The findings indicate that multilevel interventions based on socio-ecological models are more effective than passive educational approaches. School-based, community-based, and digital health interventions were shown to increase physical activity levels and improve metabolic indicators. Moreover, habit-based interventions and targeted programs for high-risk groups demonstrated greater sustainability of health outcomes. In conclusion, integrative, adaptive, and multisectoral health promotion strategies are effective approaches for preventing prediabetes among adolescents with sedentary lifestyles.
