Abstract

Break even point analysis as the basis for determining the right selling price policy to optimize profitability in the CV cracker industry. Devi Laros Banyuwangi. The purpose of this study is to determine and analyze the effect of selling prices based on break even points (break even point) on company profitability. The object used in this study is the CV. Devi Laros Banyuwangi. In this study the problem raised is the determination of the product selling price. Data obtained from this study analyzed its profitability optimization before using the break even point selling price method, then selling price and net profit planning the following year using a break even point analysis and analyzed profitability optimization. The data analysis method uses a quantitative method that is to calculate data with cost-volume-profit analysis to analyze the effect of break even points on company profitability. Based on the calculation results, it can be seen that in 2017 the calculation of the quantity of 28,080 balls with a selling price of Rp. 80,000 get a break even point of Rp. 545,078,058. The level of profit or profitability of the company during the period 2015 - 2017 tends to increase. The profitability of the company increases after setting its selling price using cost-volume-profit analysis. The old selling price of Rp. 80,000, while the new selling price of Rp. 82,000. The ratio of operating profit using the old price of 0.2777 while the ratio of operating profit using the new price of 0.2929 means an increase in the ratio of operating profit from the old price to the new price.

Abstract

This research aimed at comparing mind mapping technique and semantic mapping technique in teaching reading comprehension. It was intended to find out which technique (mind mapping or semantic mapping) was more effective to strengthen the reading comprehension and which technique was more interesting in learning process to the second graders of SMAN 5 Makassar, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. It was an experimental research. There are two classes taken as sample, XI IPA1as experimental 1 class, and XI IPA2 as experimental 2 class. Researcher collected the data through reading test and questionnaire as research instrument. The result revealed that (1) students obtained higher score after being taught under mind mapping technique as opposed to those who studied under semantic mapping technique (2) students who studied narrative text under mind mapping technique showed great reading interest.

Abstract

Utilizing organic waste as a source of material to produce economically valuable and environmentally friendly products is a very positive initiative. One of the superior products that can be produced from organic waste is Eco-enzyme. This activity aims to provide students with an understanding of the process of making Eco-enzyme and its various benefits. Training and practice in making Eco-enzyme is an effective means of conveying this information to students at SMKN 5 East Kolaka. The evaluation results via questionnaires show the positive impact of this community service activity. As many as 80% of respondents stated that Eco-enzyme was in accordance with community needs, while 95% stated that their insight had increased after participating in this activity. The presence of 90% of respondents stating the benefits of this activity also reflects success in conveying information and skills to the community. In fact, the percentage of those interested in carrying out Eco-enzyme manufacturing practices increased significantly from 20% to 95%

Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education has gained considerable attention for its potential to enhance teaching and learning experiences. This study examines the perceptions and practices of English teachers in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, regarding AI integration in English language teaching. Data were collected from 145 English teachers across public and private secondary schools using a structured questionnaire covering demographic information, perceptions of AI, and current AI integration practices. The findings indicate that most teachers hold a positive outlook on AI, with 65% recognizing its potential benefits, such as improving student engagement and personalized learning. However, challenges remain, as 55% of respondents expressed concerns about the complexity of AI tools, while 45% feared potential job displacement. Although 58% of teachers reported using AI tools, only 20% fully integrated AI into their daily teaching routines. Further analysis highlights that demographic factor, such as teaching experience and prior AI training, significantly influence teachers’ readiness to adopt AI. Teachers with more experience and relevant training exhibited greater confidence and a higher tendency to integrate AI tools effectively. These findings emphasize the need for targeted professional development programs to support AI adoption in English language teaching.

Abstract

For some students learning a foreign language, comprehending information in that language, especially in English is important. Active reading comprehension is one method of comprehending the content. Two components of language learning are reading comprehension and vocabulary mastery. The purpose of this study is to find out how students' reading comprehension in the second semester at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur and their vocabulary mastery relate to one another. The researcher collected the data for this quantitative study with correlational analysis using a vocabulary test. The reading comprehension test and the questionnaire were used to assess students’ reading comprehension. Overall second-semester students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur (UMKT) became the population used in this study. The population was 2,362 students with a 5% margin of error therefore the table size sample was 428 students. the results of the Hypothesis of the level of correlation between Vocabulary Mastery and Reading Comprehension have a strong effect on students because it is proven by a score of 0.608 and has results that follow the variable or standard coefficient of 0.60 - 0.799. in other words, there was a strong correlation between reading comprehension and vocabulary mastery among students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur. This study is considered relevant from time to time as the students need to increase their vocabulary mastery to comprehend reading skills

Abstract

In the digital age, rapid technological advancements have introduced various Artificial Intelligence (AI), significantly influencing education, particularly in language learning. This study focuses on ChatGPT, a Natural Language Processing model developed by OpenAI, exploring its transformative potential in language generation tasks, including writing. Ethical considerations in AI development, emphasized by organizations like OpenAI, are crucial for responsible deployment. ChatGPT promises to modernize language learning, particularly in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) context, by aiding learners in writing tasks. Writing skills are essential for language proficiency, encompassing cognitive, emotional, and social dimensions. The integration of AI in language learning not only enhances writing proficiency but also fosters creativity and critical thinking. However, student perceptions of AI tools like ChatGPT vary, with concerns about creativity hindrance and reliance on technology. Employing a mixed-methods approach, this study investigates EFL students' perceptions of ChatGPT's impact on writing skills, revealing predominantly positive responses alongside challenges such as internet connectivity issues and reliance on paid versions. Overall, ChatGPT offers opportunities to enhance writing skills, although ethical deployment and user dependency considerations are paramount.

Abstract

Dalam perkembangan era digital, penguasaan teknologi menjadi suatu keterampilan yang penting. Teknologi memungkinkan guru mempersonalisasi materi pembelajaran sesuai dengan kebutuhan masing-masing siswa.. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk media pembelajaran berupa video dan kuis berbasis Wordwall pada materi Dinasti Abbasiyah untuk kelas VIII sebagai media interaktif yang dapat meningkatkan minat dan motivasi siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan R&D (Research and Development) dengan model yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 4D. Yang meliputi beberapa tahap yaitu Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate. Namun dalam penelitian ini hanya dibatasi pada 3 tahap yaitu Define, Design, dan Develop. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini meliputi 2 orang validator ahli materi dan 2 orang validator ahli media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan berupa video pembelajaran dan kuis berbasis Wordwall memperoleh nilai sebesar 76,15% dengan kategori layak, sedangkan materi yang dikembangkan memperoleh nilai sebesar 86,95% dengan kategori sangat layak. Dan jika dirata-ratakan diperoleh nilai sebesar 81,5% yang jika dijabarkan termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak.

Abstract

Analisis perilaku fisik maupun mekanik komposit polimer yang sering ditampilkan oleh para peneliti lebih banyak didasarkan pada kondisi lingkungan normal. Sementara penggunaan material komposit seringkali berada pada situasi yang tidak normal atau agresif seperti kelembaban dan temperatur yang selalu berubah. Artikel ini membahas mengenai bagaimana pengaruh lingkungan agresif terhadap sifat fisik dan mekanik komposit polimer epoksi yang diperkuat dengan serat sisal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen yang datanya dianalisis lebih lanjut secara deskripstif. Pengujian sifat fisik dilakukan dengan cara mengukur perubahan berat selama masa ekspose pada lingkungan agresif. Sementara sifat mekanik komposit ditinjau dari dua parameter; perilaku tarik dan lentur. Pengujian kuat tarik dilakukan berdasarkan standar ASTM D-3039 dan uji lentur berdasarkan standar ASTM D790, dengan pembebanan menyesuaikan dengan ketentuan pada standar. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa             Lingkungan agresif akan memperlemah sifat fisik komposit. Hasil pengukuran perubahan berat komposit mengindikasikan bahwa semua komposit yang diekspose pada 3 jenis lingkungan agresif mengalami pengurangan berat setelah diekspose selama 8 minggu. Selanjutnya sifat mekanik komposit akan mengalami degradasi apabila diekspose pada lingkungan yang agresif. Kuat tarik dan modulus tarik lebih tinggi dimiliki oleh komposit yang tidak diekspose; dengan kuat tarik sebesar 46,165 MPa dan modulus elastisitas tarik sebesar 1742,606 MPa. Kuat tarik terendah ditemukan pada komposit yang diekspose pada ruang terbuka, sebesar 14,628 MPa, dan modulus elastisitas terendah ditemukan pada komposit yang diekspose dengan cara ditanam, yakni sebesar 1502, 277 MPa. Temuan yang senada diperlihatkan pada perilaku lentur komposit. Tegangan dan modulus elastistas lentur tertinggi dimiliki oleh komposit kontrol yang tidak diekspose pada lingkungan agresif, sebesar 83,728 MPa dan 3397,5 MPa. Kuat lentur terendah dimiliki oleh komposit yang diekspose dengan cara ditanam (30,607 MPa), sementara modulus elastisitas terendam dimiliki oleh komposit yang diekspose pada ruangan terbuka, yakni sebesar 3397,5 MPa.

Abstract

Pancasila merupakan dasar negara yang dibentuk setelah bangsa Indonesia meraih kemerdekaan. Pancasila sebagai dasar negara digunakan untuk mengatur seluruh tatanan kehidupan bangsa dan juga negara Indonesia. Serta segala sesuatu yang berhubungan dengan pelaksanaan sistem ketatanegaraan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI) yang wajib berdasarkan Pancasila. Gagasan fikih siyasah dapat dijadikan landasan utama bagi semua hukum yang berkaitan dengan urusan negara agar sesuai dengan cita-cita syariah. Dengan berlandaskan fikih siyasah dapat dijadikan acuan dalam menjawab permasalahan mengenai konsep negara pancasila perspektif fikih siyasah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis konsep Negara Pancasila dari perspektif fikih siyasah, yaitu cabang ilmu hukum Islam yang membahas tentang tata kelola pemerintahan dan politik. Penulis menggunakan metode penulisan library research dan internet searching. Dengan tujuan para pembaca dan juga para peneliti selanjutnya dapat memahami secara mendalam mengenai negara pancasila dalam perspektif fikih siyasah.

Abstract

Social media is a digital platform product that has received a positive response from people. Social media is no longer part of tertiary or primary needs but secondary needs. For users, social media has become part of their daily lives, and teenagers to young adults are the largest group of users, causing addictive behavior towards their users. Addiction to social media can be influenced by several factors such as psychosocial. Many researchers use the cross-sectional method in their research. This systematic review aims to analyze 12 international journals regarding the factors that influence social media addiction, and psychosocial (depression, anxiety, FoMO, and so on) are reported to have the most influence on social media addiction. The other variables are bullying, cyberbullying, self-esteem, and cultural influence. Types of social media addiction used in educational research are associated with decreased academic achievement due to poor sleep quality. The aspects of social media addiction are emotional, behavioral, affective, and cognitive. These findings provide recommendations for conducting more experimental research related to social media addiction in students.
