Abstract

This study uses a qualitative method to explore how social media listening, combined with a machine learning approach, can be utilized to predict consumer trends in modern marketing strategies. In today’s digital era, social media serves as a rich data source for capturing consumer preferences, needs, and behaviors in real time. With machine learning algorithms such as natural language processing (NLP) and sentiment analysis, data from platforms like Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok can be processed to identify patterns that indicate market trends. This approach not only enables companies to respond quickly to consumer dynamics but also allows them to craft more targeted and data-driven marketing strategies. This study examines five major brands that implement social media listening as part of their digital strategy by observing consumer conversations, dominant emotions, and viral issues. The findings show that the integration of social media listening and machine learning can serve as an effective predictive tool in developing adaptive and contextual marketing campaigns.

Abstract

This study uses a qualitative method to analyze the dynamics of the business environment within the context of the digital economy, specifically focusing on the impact of platformization on industry competition. Rapid digital technological developments have given rise to various digital platforms that disrupt conventional business models and reshape market structures across multiple sectors. Platforms such as marketplaces, ride-sharing services, and fintech companies have become dominant actors influencing competitive patterns, value distribution, and relationships between large and small enterprises. This research aims to understand how digital platforms affect industry competition through vertical integration, network effects, and data control. The findings reveal that platformization enhances transaction efficiency and market access but also creates imbalances in market power, digital monopolies, and dependency on algorithms. In this context, government regulation and business adaptation strategies are essential to maintaining competitive balance and ensuring the sustainability of the digital ecosystem. The study recommends the adoption of adaptive regulatory approaches and multi-sector collaboration to foster healthy competition in the digital era.

Abstract

This study employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach to examine how the optimization of marketing skills contributes to enhancing customer loyalty in Islamic banking. Based on a review of various national journals and theoretical references, it was found that personal selling skills, interpersonal communication, understanding of sharia-compliant products, and the ability to build long-term relationships with customers play a significant role in maintaining loyalty. Amidst the competition between digital and conventional banking, Islamic banks are required to prioritize service values aligned with sharia principles and optimize human resource capabilities in delivering educational, solution-oriented, and consistent approaches. Effective marketing skills not only create a positive customer experience but also enhance trust in Islamic financial institutions.

Abstract

This research uses a qualitative method to explore the role of digital marketing skills in enhancing the competitiveness of Islamic banking institutions in the era of digital transformation. The rapid development of information technology requires financial institutions, including Islamic banks, to adapt to digital-based marketing strategies to remain competitive in the market. Digital marketing skills such as social media management, search engine optimization (SEO), content marketing, and digital data analysis have become essential in effectively reaching customers and building strong brand awareness. This study was conducted through in-depth interviews with Islamic banking practitioners and analysis of documentation related to digital marketing strategies. The findings reveal that mastering digital marketing skills significantly helps Islamic banking institutions expand their market reach, improve customer engagement, and strengthen their competitive position in the financial industry. Moreover, the proper implementation of digital marketing also enhances promotional cost efficiency and encourages product and service innovation based on customer needs. These findings serve as a vital reference in developing more relevant Islamic marketing strategies for the current era.

Abstract

: The economic development paradigm in Ibn Khaldun's economic development model is based on the interdependence of economic and political variables. The model emphasizes the importance of justice and development in maintaining the stability and prosperity of a country. The aim of this systematic literature review (SLR) is to analyze how Ibn Khaldun's economic development model relates to the Preferred Reporting Items for the Systematic Review method. Data was obtained from online databases, namely Crossref, Google Scholar, Semantic Scholar, and Scopus (2018-2023), and 19 articles were obtained that were relevant to the research. By using the keyword search "Ibn Khaldun's economic development model" the model developed in this research provides a better understanding of the interdependence of economic and political variables and can be used as a basis for developing development models in the context of his theory. The article concludes that Ibn Khaldun's economic thinking in the circle of equity theory shows the existence of a dynamic relationship and interdependence between these variables, where the government cannot be implemented without the implementation of sharia, as well as the quantity and quality of human resources, especially those working productively will be able to improve the economy and development of a country

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) based on the creative economy play a strategic role in driving national economic growth and creating inclusive employment opportunities. However, amid the post-pandemic economic dynamics and accelerated digital transformation, the development of creative MSMEs faces complex structural and cultural challenges. This study aims to identify key barriers and formulate effective development strategies for creative economy-based MSMEs in Indonesia. Utilizing a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this research reviews and synthesizes 42 relevant academic publications sourced from reputable databases such as Google Scholar, DOAJ, and SINTA. The analysis employed meta-synthesis and content analysis techniques to reveal thematic patterns and relationships between strategic variables. The findings indicate that the primary obstacles include limited access to financing, low levels of digital and entrepreneurial literacy, and inadequate institutional support. Meanwhile, the most effective development strategies encompass business digitalization, entrepreneurship training, multi-stakeholder collaboration, business model innovation, and policy reforms based on intellectual property rights. This study contributes conceptually by mapping thematic strategies for the development of creative MSMEs, while also offering a foundation for formulating more contextual, responsive, and sustainable empowerment policies and practices. The article is expected to serve as a vital reference for scholars, policymakers, and practitioners in promoting the sustainability and competitiveness of creative economy-based MSMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract

The digital transformation in payment systems has encouraged micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to adapt to technology, one of which is through the implementation of QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard). This study aims to analyze the perceptions of MSME actors and consumers regarding the ease and benefits of using QRIS, identify the obstacles in its implementation, and evaluate its contribution to business efficiency and the independence of the national financial system. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method by conducting interviews with five informants, consisting of three MSME owners and two university students in Kelurahan Durian, Tebing Tinggi City. The results show that QRIS is perceived as a practical, fast, and secure payment method. Its use facilitates financial record-keeping for business owners and increases customer trust. The obstacles encountered are mostly technical, such as network issues and device limitations, but do not reduce users’ interest. Furthermore, QRIS contributes to maintaining domestic cash flow and reducing dependence on foreign payment systems, thus supporting national economic sovereignty. Overall, QRIS has proven effective as an inclusive digital payment solution for both MSMEs and consumers.

Abstract

In response to growing consumer awareness of halal products and increasingly competitive markets, halal certification has emerged as a vital strategy for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to enhance competitiveness and expand market access, particularly in countries with a predominantly Muslim population, such as Indonesia. This study aims to explore in-depth how the implementation of halal certification contributes to the development of micro businesses by focusing on a case study of Dapur Reunion, an MSME operating in Medan City, Indonesia. Employing a qualitative approach and case study strategy, this research investigates processes, strategies, and impacts of halal certification through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis involving business actors and their operational environments. The interviews were conducted with five respondents, including Dapur Reuni business actors and loyal consumers who consistently purchase products from Dapur Reuni MSMEs in Medan City. The findings reveal that halal certification plays a significant role in building consumer trust, strengthening brand image, widening market reach, and promoting innovation and operational efficiency. Additionally, the certification process encourages business owners to implement more structured production standards and maintain sustainability through consistent internal monitoring. The primary contribution of this study lies in providing empirical evidence on post-certification strategic dynamics from the perspective of MSME actors, which remains underexplored in existing literature. These findings are expected to serve as a practical reference for other MSMEs and inform policymakers and support institutions in developing a more inclusive and sustainable halal certification ecosystem.
