The percentage of poor people in September 2022 was 9.57 percent, an increase of 0.03 percent from March 2022 and a decrease of 0.14 percent from September 2021. Many people are experiencing unemployment due to reduced job opportunities. This research was conducted using the path analysis method and SPSS version 22 software. This research used quantitative data obtained from data from the Central Bureau of Statistics. Data were tested using the Classical Assumption Test, Hypothesis Test, and Correlation Coefficient Test. The research results obtained have a direct influence on the Independent Variables and Dependent Variables namely; Total Population (X1) and Average Spending (X2) on Unemployment (Y) where there is a significant value less than 0.05, which means it has a significant effect. The results obtained in the analysis model equation Y = 0.385X1 + 0.117X2 + 0.233Z + 0.905.

Abstract

The Human Development Index (IPM) measures human development achievements based on a number of basic quality of life components. As a measure of quality of life, HDI is built through a basic three-dimensional approach. These dimensions include a long and healthy life; knowledge, and a decent life. These three dimensions have a very broad meaning because they are related to many factors. To measure the health dimension, life expectancy at birth is used. Furthermore, to measure the dimensions of knowledge, a combination of literacy rate indicators and the average length of schooling is used. This study aims to determine the relationship or influence between variables on the human development index. These variables are the average length of schooling, life expectancy, and the percentage of poor people. This research uses survey data from BPS North Sumatra for the 2021-2022 period. Data processing uses path analysis with the help of SPSS version 23 software. The path equation obtained in this study is Y = 0.672X1 + 0.297X2 − 0.223Z + 0.081. The results showed that there was a significant influence between the average length of schooling, life expectancy, and the percentage of poor people on the human development index.

Abstract

This paper shows the commodification process that occurs in Kampung Adat Sijunjung to support the development of rural tourism. The commodification process can be seen in the use of Rumah Gadang as a homestay place for guests. Rumah Gadang for the Minangkabau people is not just a place to live but a space and cultural symbol. So that if it is used as a homestay it will cause a dilemma, on the one hand Rumah Gadang needs to be maintained as a distinctive Minangkabau cultural monument and on the other hand the tourism aspect can have an economic impact on the people of Sijunjung. The dualism of Rumah Gadang as a cultural product and tourism product is what results in commodification to develop tourism in rural areas. The method used was thorough observation of Rumah Gadang and interviewing 15 residents and Ninik Mamak (traditional ruler) as members of the tribe that owns Rumah Gadang. In addition, Rumah Gadang continues to function as a place and space for social and cultural activities of the Sijunjung community. So that the values and norms that exist in Rumah Gadang as a symbol of Minangkabau culture continue to run and through homestays, the Sijunjung community can obtain additional economic benefits from the tourism sector.

Abstract

Health is regarded as a basic human need Health is a fundamental right recognized in various international human rights instruments, such as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared COVID-19 a global public health pandemic on January 30, 2020. Based on the data collected, there are still members of the community who have not received the Covid-19 Booster vaccine even though it is urgently given as an antiviral. Therefore, as part of an effort to increase the coverage of vaccination, it is necessary to implement a Covid-19 public dedication as the fulfilment of the right to health. The method of community-based participatory research (Community Based Participatory Research, CBPR) is implemented. The results of the vaccination activities carried out at Tanjungpura University Faculty of Law can contribute to the vaccine coverage that exists in the community. As for the number of participants of the activity was 172 (one hundred seventy-two) people consisting of 117 (a hundred seventeen) students and 61 (sixty-one) the general public. In addition, there are students and members of the community who have not received the Covid-19 Booster Vaccine while the delivery is very urgent as an anti-virus, even there are those who have never received the vaccine at all.

Abstract

Inclusive education is an approach that seeks to provide access to quality education for all learners, including those with special needs. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has been recognized as one of the tools that can advance inclusive education by providing a variety of adaptive and interactive learning tools. This research aims to explore how ICT can be integrated in inclusive education and the impact it has on community service. The research method used in this study was a literature review. The findings show that ICT provides innovative ways of adapting learning materials that support various learning needs and facilitate early intervention and individualized education. The use of assistive communication devices, accessible educational software and interactive media contribute to a more inclusive learning experience. In addition, there was an improvement in teachers' positive attitudes and readiness to implement ICT-supported inclusive learning methods. However, the study also identified barriers, including limited infrastructure availability, lack of training for ICT use, and the need for more adaptive content.
