Abstract

The research aims to determine Brahman cross (BX) cattle's heat resistance at the UPT Aia Pacah, Padang, West Sumatra. The research variables were the “Temperature Humidity Index (THI)”, calculated based on changes in environmental temperature and air humidity, and “Heat Resistance” measured according to the Benezra and Rhoad coefficients. The calculation of heat resistance is based on physiological characteristics (body temperature, heart rate, and respiratory rate). Data was collected twice a day, in the morning and afternoon, on 40 BX cattles. The results of the morning and the afternoon research showed that the average THI was respectively 75.5 + 2.03 and 82.68 + 1.06, the average body temperature was 37.79 + 0.27 and 38.28 + 0.29 degrees Celsius, the respiratory rate was 19.04 + 1.87 and 25.68 + 1.33 breaths per minute, the heart rate was 52.80 + 6.09 and 59 + 5.96 beats per minute, heat resistance Based on the Benezra and Rhoad coefficients, they were 2.35 + 0.28 and 96.40 + 1.52. The conclusion is that BX cattles kept at the UPT Aia Pacah, Padang is in moderate stress conditions during the day, while the heat resistance of 2.35 is slightly above the normal value of 2 and the Road coefficient is 96.04.

Abstract

The high demand for jewellery products increases significantly every year, but the export requirements of the products demand high quality. So, efforts are needed to improve quality, support cost savings, reduce energy needs, and improve work safety, especially in the casting process of jewellery products. This study aims to analyze the implementation of practical quality control standards to improve the quality of jewellery product casting. This research method uses a Plan-Do-Check-Action process approach that refers to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 standards. Implementing the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Action) process approach adopted in developing quality control methods in the jewellery casting process proved effective, resulting in casting shrinkage of 0.2 kg below the established standard of 0.7 – 1 kg. Controlling temperature casting below the melting point can also provide energy savings and heat control of the casting process to reduce occupational safety and health hazards. PDCA quality control methods can improve the quality of casting jewellery products by reducing porosity defects and shrinkage, saving energy, and reducing occupational safety hazards. This research provides an effective quality control method for the jewellery casting production process regarding quality improvement, environmental management, and safety to achieve the Company's sustainability.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the lack of teachers' understanding in implementing appropriate learning models to enhance thinking and critical reading skills in Indonesian language learning. The study aims to examine the effect of the SQ3R learning model on the thinking and critical reading skills of fifth-grade students in Madang Suku II District, OKU Timur. This research employs a quantitative method with a true experimental design (Pretest-Post-test Control Group Design). The population consists of fifth-grade students from 25 elementary schools in Madang Suku II District, with a sample of 39 students from SD Negeri 1 Riang Bandung selected using probability sampling. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation and analysed using a t-test with SPSS. The results indicate that the implementation of the SQ3R model has a significant effect on thinking skills (t-value = 4.195 > t-table = 2.021) and critical reading skills (t-value = 3.533 > t-table = 2.021). Additionally, the SQ3R model assisted by storybooks has a strong impact on thinking skills (Cohen’s d = 1.12) and critical reading skills (Cohen’s d = 0.99). Therefore, the SQ3R model is effective in enhancing the thinking and critical reading skills of fifth-grade students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini ditulis bertujuan guna mengetahui pesan-pesan dakwah apa saja yang terkandung di dalam film Hafalan Shalat Delisa sehingga dapat teruraikan mengenai pesan-pesan dakwah yang ada di dalam film Hafalan Shalat Delisa. Pesan dakwah adalah segala sesuatu yang ditransmisikan dari sejarah kepada pemiliknya atau hal dakwah, yaitu segala sesuatu yang ada dalam ajaran yang ada dalam kitab dan sunnah rasul.. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini ialah apa saja pesan-pesan dakwah yang ada di dalam film Hafalan Shalat Delisa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode kualitatif deskriptif, karena metode ini digunakan untuk mengkaji sesuatu yang bersifat deskriptif dalam mencari teori atau pengetahuan dalam suatu penelitian. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam film Hafalan Shalat Delisa mengandung beberapa pesan dakwah seperti pesan ibadah, pendidikan,dan akidah.

Abstract

Wheel Loader adalah salah satu alat berat yang biasa digunakan untuk membantu mengerjakan pekerjaan yang bersifat berat atau susah. WA-200 adalah traktor dengan roda yang dilengkapi perlengkapan kerja yaitu bucket yang berfungsi untuk menggali, membawa, dan memuat. Wheel Loader akan memberikan hasil efektivitas yang optimal jika dilakukan pemeliharaan rutin yang baik dan benar. Efektivitas kerja Wheel Loader adalah tingkat kecapaian terhadap suatu pekerjaan yang dilakukan alat berat Wheel Loader berdasarkan dengan target efektif yang diharapkan bisa dalam bentuk persentase atau lainnya. Maka , Jika pemeliharaan alat berat tidak dilakukan secara rutin akan mengganggu operasional alat sehingga kerja Wheel Loader tersebut akan terkategori kurang efektif sampai dengan tidak efektif. Hasil pengamatan pada bulan Agustus-September 2022 didapatkan rata-rata persentase efektivitas Wheel Loader 67,38 %. Menurut tabel kriteria efektivitas adalah kurang efektif dan lama waktu pemeliharaan rutin rata-rata 1 minggunya itu 101,60 menit, berarti tidak cukup mengganggu jam efektif Wheel Loader dari setiap hari.

Abstract

Limbah pertanian, khususnya bonggol jagung, sering kali tidak dimanfaatkaan secara optimal oleh masyarakat pedesaan dan hanya dibiarkan penumpuk atau dibakar. Padahal limbahtersebut memiliki potensi sebagai bahan bakar alternatif yang ramah lingkungan. Program Kerja Nyata (KKN) di Desa Cabbeng melaksanakan kegiatan pembuatan briket dari bonggol jagung sebagai upaya diversifikasi energi. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh ibu-ibu PPK dan Kader Posyandu melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan praktik langsung pembuatan briket, mulai dari pengeringan bonggol, penghancuran, pencampuran perekat, pencetakan, hingga pengeringan akhir. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mampu menghasilkan briket bonggol jagung yang menyala dengan baik dan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai energi alternatif pengganti kayu bakar. Program ini tidak hanya memberikan keterampilan baru bagi masyarakat, tetapi juga menghadirkan solusi pemanfaatan limbah pertanian untuk mendukung kemandirian energi di Desa Cabbeng.

Abstract

This article discuss issue law about urgency of reform of Article 4 of the Law Eradication Action Criminal Corruption in relation with recovery loss state finances and effectiveness enforcement law. Focus study directed at the problems implementation Article 4 which in practice does not provide incentives for perpetrators to recover state financial losses, because even though the losses have been recovered, the legal process continues without any different consequences. The research method used is a normative juridical approach by examining relevant laws and regulations, court decisions, and law enforcement practices. The results of the analysis indicate that the criminal system that emphasizes the retributive aspect is not fully in line with the objectives of national law, namely realizing the benefits and recovery of state finances. As a solution, this study proposes a reformulation of Article 4 by setting a limit of the value of losses below IDR 1 billion, the investigation of which can be stopped if the perpetrator has returned the entire principal loss along with interest and consequences. This approach aims to streamline law enforcement, encourage perpetrators' awareness in recovering state losses, and emphasize the orientation of criminal law on corruption towards restorative fiscal justice. Thus, this reformulation is expected to be able to balance legal certainty, benefits, and justice in efforts to eradicate criminal acts of corruption in Indonesia paragraph.

Abstract

The effectiveness of communication is a crucial component in healthcare services, significantly contributing to patient satisfaction. In conventional contrast examination procedures, effective communication is essential for conveying information about the methods, benefits, risks, and preparation required for the examination. A survey conducted through interviews with 30 patients and their families at the Radiology Department of RS XYZ revealed that 23 respondents expressed dissatisfaction with the communication provided by radiology staff. They reported difficulties in understanding instructions and explanations, noted that explanations were poorly structured, some components were omitted prior to the examination, and the language used was often difficult to comprehend. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of radiographer communication in relation to patient satisfaction during conventional contrast examinations at RS XYZ. Employing a quantitative descriptive design with a survey method, data were collected via questionnaires distributed to 30 respondents undergoing conventional contrast examinations or their family members. The data were analyzed using the Percentage Index formula to measure satisfaction levels. The study was conducted between May and June 2025. Key factors assessed included respect, empathy, listening ability, clarity, and humility. The results showed that respect scored 68% (categorized as fairly satisfied), empathy 81% (satisfied), listening ability 88% (satisfied), clarity 85% (satisfied), and humility 75% (satisfied). The lowest score was for respect, while the highest was for listening ability. Overall, the effectiveness of radiographer communication in relation to patient satisfaction during conventional contrast examinations at RS XYZ reached 61%, categorized as satisfied.

Abstract

Sumpit merupakan senjata tradisional suku Dayak yang saat ini telah mengalami perkembangan, terutama dalam proses produksi sumpit atau peluru sumpit. Selama ini proses produksi khususnya untuk peluru sumpit masih dilakukan secara tradisional. Kelemahan sistem produksi secara tradisional adalah kurang presisi dan tidak seragam. Upaya penyelesaian masalah dilakukan dengan mengembangkan mesin pembentuk ekor peluru sumpit menggunakan sistem pemakanan otomatis. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang bangun dan menguji kinerja mesin pembentuk ekor peluru sumpit dengan pemakanan otomatis. Tahapan penelitian meliputi proses pembuatan mesin, penulisan koding program, uji verifikasi mesin, uji kinerja mesin, pengambilan dan analisis data. Uji kinerja yang dilakukan pada mesin berupa pengukuran kapasitas produksi dan keseragama ukuran. Mesin hasil rancang bangun memiliki dimensi panjang 62 cm, lebar 60 cm, tinggi 110 cm. Mesin terdiri atas 3 motor yaitu motor pemutar ekor peluru menggunakan motor listrk 125 watt, motor pemotong menggunakan motor listrk 125 watt dan motor penggerak eretan menggunakan motor stepper. Pergerakan motor dikontrol oleh mikrokontroler Arduino UNO. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa mesin pembentuk ekor peluru sumpit memiliki kapasitas produksi rata-rata 18,10 butir/jam. Hasil pengujian keseragaman ukuran menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata keseragaman dimensi A dan B masing-masing sebesar 98,93% dan 98,94%, sedangkan dimensi C dan D mencapai 97,85% dan 96,89%.

Abstract

Persian silk (Albizia julibrissin) is a medicinal plant known to contain active compounds such as alkaloids, phenolics, flavonoids and quinones which have the potential as antioxidants and natural toxic compounds. Phytochemical screening showed the presence of these compounds in the leaf extract. In addition, a toxicity test using the Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method on Artemia salina larvae showed that the extract had an LC₅₀ value of 0.000007 ppm, which is included in the very toxic category. These results indicate that Persian silk leaves (Albizia julibrissin) have the potential to be developed as natural bioactive agents.
