Abstract

AbstractThe study aimed to prove positive correlation between pedagogical competence and classroom management skill to public elementary school teachers in Pacitan Sub-district and to measure the contribution of pedagogical competence and classroom management skill to elementary school teachers in Pacitan Sub-district. It was correlational quantitative method. The population were 222 elementary school teachers of first to sixth grade and the samples were 144 teachers. Data collection techniques used questionnaire. The prerequisite test used linearity and normality tests. Data analysis used a simple correlation test and adjusted R square. The results showed that there was positive correlation between pedagogical competence and classroom management skill. The correlation value was 0,335 and it indicated as moderate correlation. Pedagogical competence contributed 11.2% on classroom management skill. High pedagogical competence was closely related to how teachers:  understanding student characteristics, understanding theories and learning principles, developing curriculum, presenting enlightened learning, developing student potency, having good communication to students, and conducting evaluations and assessments measuring the success of learning process. Therefore, if teacher’s pedagogical competence was good, the classroom management would be maximized.

Abstract

Abstract The COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected various sectors of people's lives in Indonesia, especially in the food sector. Many people are afraid to buy food from stall due to the COVID-19 pandemic conditions and the implementation of Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) set by the government in early 2021, making conditions more difficult and restricted. Because of this, innovation is needed to start a healthy lifeso that people have a strong immune system and can avoid the COVID-19 virus, one wayto start a healthy life is to consume vegetables that are grown by themselves. The farmingtechnique that has begun to be developed is the hydroponic technique, the hydroponic technique is a method of farming using planting media other than soil, such as pumice, gravel, sand, coconut fiber, foam, or pieces of wood with flowing on water containing a nutrient solution. The hydroponic technique is expected to be an alternative for people who have limited land or yards, so that they can be used as a source of food security during the pandemic. On this occasion the author would like to provide counseling andtraining on hydroponic planting techniques to the community in Dukuh, Mojolaban Sukoharjo which is the location for the continuation of the UNS Thematic Community Service Program activity group 239. Abstrak Pandemi COVID-19 sangat berpengaruh terhadap berbagai sektor kehidupan masyarakat di Indonesia, terutama dalam bidang pangan. Banyak masyarakat yang takut untuk membeli makanan dari luar akibat kondisi pandemi COVID-19 ini dan adanya Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat (PPKM) yang ditetapkan pemerintah pada awal tahun 2021 membuat kondisi semakin sulit dan terbatas. Oleh karena hal tersebut, maka diperlukan adanya inovasi untuk memulai hidup sehat agar masyarakat memiliki imun tubuh yang kuat dan dapat terhindar dari virus COVID-19, salah satu cara memulai hidup sehat adalah mengkonsumsi sayuran yang ditanam sendiri. Teknik bercocok tanam yang mulai dikembangkan adalah teknik hidroponik, teknik hidroponik merupakan metode bercocok tanam dengan menggunakan media tanam selain tanah, seperti batu apung, kerikil, pasir, sabut kelapa, busa, atau potongan kayu tetapi dengan mengalirkan air yang berisi larutan nutrient. Teknik hidroponik diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif bagi masyarakat yang memiliki lahan terbatas atau pekarangan, sehingga dapat dijadikan sebagai sumber ketahanan pangan di masa pandemi. Pada kesempatan penulis ingin memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan teknik tanam hidroponik kepada masyarakat di Dukuh, Mojolaban Sukoharjo yang menjadi lokasi keberlangsungan kegiatan KKN Tematik UNS kelompok 239

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh kemandirian dan fasilitas belajar pada pembelajaran online terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SDN se-Kecamatan Kebumen tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode korelasi. Uji prasyarat menggunakan uji normalitas, uji linieritas, dan multikolinearitas. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi berganda dan korelasi berganda dengan taraf signifikansi sebesar 5%. Sumbangan variabel kemandirian dan fasilitas belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPA yaitu 34,13 %, sisanya 65,67% dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain dan memiliki tingkat korelasi sedang yaitu 0,584. Penelitian menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara kemandirian dan fasilitas belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SDN se-Kecamatan Kebumen tahun ajaran 2020/2021.

Abstract

The study aimed to improve natural science learning outcomes about ‘’Heat Transfer’’ applied problem based learning to fifth grade students. It was classroom action research carried out in three cycles. The subjects were teachers and students of fifth grade at SDN 2 Katerban. The data were qualitative and quantitative. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, and tests. The data validity used triangulation of sources and triangulation of techniques. Data analysis were data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results indicated that problem based learning improved natural science learning outcomes about ‘’Heat Transfer’’. The percentages of students’ mastery learning were 86.2% in the first cycle, 87.05% in the second cycle, and 94.82% in the third cycle. It concludes that the application of problem based learning improves natural science learning outcomes about ‘’Heat Transfer’’ to fifth grade students of SDN 2 Katerban in academic year of 2021/2022

Abstract

National school library standard is one the efforts to develop a love of reading. The study aimed to describe the efforts to develop a love of reading in students through national school library standard, to describe the impact of efforts to develop a love of reading in students through national school library standard, and to analyze the obstacles and solutions faced in SD Muhammadiyah 1 Alternatif Kota Magelang. It was a qualitative research with case study method. The collection techniques were observation, interviews, document studies, and questionnaires. The results indicated that six components to develop a love of reading in students through national school library standard were the collection components, facilities and infrastructure, library services, librarian, library administration, management, and performance strengthening. The positive impacts of school library in developing a love of reading were divided into six indicators which each indicator achieved high percentage: visiting the library had 61.1%, library utilization got 68%, borrowed books had 54.9%, having interest in books and libraries got 87.4%, having books owned by the students got 56.6%, and the frequency of students in reading books had 83.4%. In addition, there was a positive impact in improving the Indonesian learning outcomes to fifth grade students from 86.12 to 86.96. The positive impacts of library affected on students’ skills observed from the work on the wall magazine. The students developed in reading activities, writing activities, observing activities, and analyzing activities.   Keywords: national school library standard, a love of reading, knowledge, skills.

Abstract

AbstractUnderstanding concepts is crucial for elementary school students since it effects the next concept. Communication is the main key in the learning. This study aims to improve students' understanding of science concepts and communication about force by applying the Scientific Reading Based-Project (SRBP) model. The method was classroom action research conducted in two cycles. The research subjects were teachers and fourth grade students of SDN Wironatan. Data collection techniques used observation, interviews, tests, and questionnaires. The data validity used triangulation of techniques and triangulation of sources. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results showed that students' understanding of science concepts and communication increased after applying the SRBP model. It concludes that the application of the Scientific Reading Based-Project (SRBP) improves understanding and communication the concept on natural science about force.Keywords: Scientific Reading Based-Project (SRBP) model, understanding concepts, science communication AbstrakPemahaman konsep menjadi hal yang penting untuk dikuasai siswa sekolah dasar dikarenakan konsep yang dikuasai akan mempengauhi penguasaan konsep selanjutnya.Komunikasi menjadi kunci utama dalam berjalannya pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan Komunikasi IPA siswa tentang gaya dengan mengggunakan model Scientific Reading Based-Project (SRBP). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dengan dua siklus. Subjek penelitaian adalah guru dan siswa kelas IV SDN Wironatan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, tes, dan angket. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi teknik dan sumber. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemahaman konsep dan komunikasi IPA siswa mengalami peningkatan setelah menggunakan model Scientific Reading Based-Project (SRBP). Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah  penerapan model SRBP dapat meningkatkan komunikasi dan  pemahaman konsep IPA tentang gaya. Kata kunci: model Scientific Reading Based-Project (SRBP), pemahaman konsep, komunikasi IPA

Abstract

AbstractParental participation and learning motivation are efforts to improve student’s natural science learning outcomes so that those need to be applied at the elementary school level. The study aimed to examine the effects of parental participation and learning motivation on natural science learning outcomes to fourth grade students of public elementary schools in Kebumen Sub-district in academic year of 2020/2021. It was a quantitative research with multiple regression method. Data collection techniques used questionnaires and tests. The prerequisite test used normality, linearity, and multicollinearity tests. Data analysis used multiple regression test and Pearson product moment correlation with a significance level of 5%, adjusted R square, and relative contributions. The results indicated that Parental participation and learning motivation had positive effects on natural science learning outcomes to fourth grade students of public elementary schools in Kebumen Sub-district in academic year of 2020/2021. The F arithmetic value was 42.421 > F table 3.023 and r arithmetic value was 0.457 > r table 0.108. It meant that the higher parental participation and learning motivation, the higher natural science learning outcomes.Keywords: parental participation, learning motivation, natural science learning outcomes AbstrakPartisipasi orang tua dan motivasi belajar merupakan upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa, sehingga perlu diterapkan pada jenjang sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh partisipasi orang tua dan motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SD Negeri se-Kecamatan Kebumen tahun ajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode regresi berganda. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan tes. Uji prasyarat menggunakan uji normalitas, linieritas dan multikolineritas. Analisis data menggunakan uji regresi berganda dan korelasi pearson product moment dengan taraf signifikansi 5% serta menggunakan sumbangan efektif dan relatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan partisipasi orang tua dan motivasi belajar berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas IV SDN se-Kecamatan Kebumen tahun ajaran 2020/2021 dengan nilai F hitung 42,421 > F tabel 3,023 dan r hitung 0,457 > r tabel 0,108, artinya semakin tinggi partisipasi orang tua dan motivasi belajar maka semakin tinggi pula hasil belajar IPA siswa.Kata kunci: partisipasi orang tua, motivasi belajar, hasil belajar.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the positive influence of: (1) the involvement of parental assistance on learning achievement; (2) learning motivation on learning achievement; and (3) the involvement of parental mentoring and motivation on learning on the learning achievement of fourth grade elementary school students in Bayan District for the 2021/2022 academic year. This research is quantitative research with correlation using multiple linear regression analysis. The sampling was carried out using a cluster random sampling technique, with a sample of 288 students from a population of 642 fourth grade students at State Elementary Schools in Bayan District for the 2021/2022 academic year. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive influence between: (1) the involvement of parental assistance in learning on learning achievement (tcount = 4,588 > ttable = 1,968) with a contribution of 10.18%; (2) learning motivation on learning achievement (tcount = 2,998 > ttable = 1,968) with a contribution of 5.80%; and (3) parental assistance and motivation in learning on learning achievement (Fcount = 28.238 > Ftable = 3.027) with a contribution of 15.98%. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the involvement of parental assistance and motivation in learning has a positive effect on the learning achievement of fourth grade students of State Elementary Schools in Bayan District in the 2021/2022 academic year.Keywords: Parental Assistance, Motivation, Learning Achievement  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh positif dari: (1) keterlibatan pendampingan orang tua dalam belajar terhadap prestasi belajar; (2) motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar; serta (3) keterlibatan pendampingan orang tua dan motivasi dalam belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa kelas IV SDN se-Kecamatan Bayan tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif antara: (1) keterlibatan pendampingan orang tua dalam belajar terhadap prestasi belajar (thitung= 4,588 > ttabel = 1,968) dengan sumbangan 10,18%; (2) motivasi belajar terhadap prestasi belajar (thitung= 2,998 > ttabel = 1,968) dengan sumbangan sebesar 5,80%; serta (3) pendampingan orang tua dan motivasi dalam belajar terhadap prestasi belajar (Fhitung= 28,238 > Ftabel = 3,027) dengan sumbangan sebesar 15,98%. Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the feasibility and the effectiveness of teaching materials to improve natural science leaning outcomes about style to foster the entrepreneurship for fourth grade students of SD Negeri Kemiri in academic year of 2019/2020. It was Research and Development (RnD). Development model or 4-D model was developed by Thiagarajan, Semmel, and Semmel (1974). The subjects were a teacher and students of SD Negeri Kemiri. The data were quantitative and qualitative. Data collection instruments used interviews, observations, questionnaires, and tests (pre-test and post-test). The data analysis techniques were descriptive analysis, prerequisite analysis test (normality test and homogeneity test), and effectiveness test of teaching materials (N-gain and effect size). The results indicate that the teaching materials based on local potential about style have feasibility for learning, improve leaning outcomes, and foster the entrepreneurship.
