Abstract

Religious education is an integral part of the curriculum that guides students in developing morality, ethics, and spiritual values. This study aims to examine the challenges of religious guidance at SMPN 8 Palangka Raya. The research employed a descriptive-qualitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study were Islamic Religious Education teachers and students at SMPN 8 Palangka Raya. The findings reveal that religious guidance activities include spiritual counseling, social development, and cultural programs. However, several challenges were identified in the implementation process, including time constraints, limited external environmental support, and low student interest. This study is expected to provide insights and practical recommendations for schools, particularly teachers, in formulating more effective and innovative strategies for religious education.

Abstract

The veil, often perceived as a simple piece of clothing, holds complex meanings within urban society, serving as both a social phenomenon and a potent religious symbol. This article delves into the intricate dynamics of the veil within the context of contemporary urban life. It explores the dual nature of the veil, where it is not merely a garment but also a profound symbol of religious identity, modesty, and devotion. By examining the urban context, this research provides insights into how the veil is embraced, interpreted, and experienced by diverse communities residing in cities. The article discusses the complex social, cultural, and religious dynamics surrounding the veil and highlights its role in shaping personal and collective identities. Furthermore, it explores the challenges and debates faced by urban communities in accommodating the diversity of veiling practices and their implications for social cohesion and integration. This study offers valuable insights into the broader discourse on religious expression and cultural diversity within urban environments, emphasizing the need for a deeper understanding of the significance of the veil in contemporary society.

Abstract

Background: The role of Islamic religious education teachers in fostering religious moderation among students has become increasingly urgent in today's diverse and dynamic social environment. Objective: This study aims to determine the urgency of the role of Islamic religious education teachers in fostering religious moderation in students at school. Method: The research uses a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive method. It was conducted at SMK Karsa Mulya Palangka Raya in 2024. The research subjects include religious education teachers, principals, subject teachers, and students. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The process of data validation used triangulation. Result: Religious moderation in students can be successfully instilled through collaboration between religious education and subject teachers, supported by the principal and regulations that promote religious moderation. Conclusion: Religious moderation coaching is more effective when there is a cohesive effort between various school stakeholders, including teachers and principals. Effective communication and a supportive school environment are key to promoting religious moderation in students. Contribution: This research contributes to understanding the role of Islamic religious education teachers in fostering religious moderation in schools and emphasises the importance of collaboration and institutional support in achieving this goal.

Abstract

Membangun kebahagian diri perlu dilakukan dalam rangka menanggulangi perilaku menyakiti diri sendiri. Hal ini mengingat kebahagiaan merupakan tujuan yang ingin dicapai dalam kehidupan semua orang. Berbagai cara dan usaha dilakukan manusia untuk memperoleh kebahagiaan hidup Oleh sebab itu tujuan penelitian ini adalah self happines sebagai media menanggulangi self harm di kalangan mahasiswa. Jenis penilitian adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, sedangkan subjek penelitian ini sebanyak 5 mahasiswa FTIK IAIN Palangka Raya. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara secara mendalam dan dokumentasi serta teknik pengabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa self happines dapat menganggulangi self harm di kalangan mahasiswa sebesar 84,55% termasuk kategori efektif, hal ini dikarenakan dengan membangun ekspektasi positif, afirmasi diri, emosi yang positif dan penyesuaian diri dapat menanggulangi self harm.

Abstract

Pelatihan pembuatan poster melalui aplikasi Canva di SMA Negeri 2 Palangka Raya dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya keterampilan desain grafis di kalangan siswa, yang berpotensi menghambat kemampuan mereka dalam menyampaikan informasi secara visual. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan desain grafis siswa serta kreativitas mereka dalam menggunakan teknologi sebagai media pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah service learning, yang melibatkan siswa dalam pengalaman praktis dengan pendekatan berbasis proyek. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami peningkatan keterampilan dalam merancang poster yang informatif dan menarik. Selain itu, siswa menunjukkan kreativitas yang lebih baik dalam menggabungkan elemen visual dan teks. Umpan balik positif dari siswa mengindikasikan bahwa pelatihan ini memenuhi kebutuhan mereka, dengan banyak yang berharap ada sesi lanjutan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan lebih lanjut. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah bahwa pelatihan pembuatan poster menggunakan Canva memberikan dampak signifikan dalam peningkatan keterampilan dan kepercayaan diri siswa. Program ini tidak hanya bermanfaat dalam konteks akademik, tetapi juga mempersiapkan siswa untuk menghadapi tantangan di dunia kerja yang semakin membutuhkan keterampilan digital. Keberlanjutan pelatihan semacam ini sangat direkomendasikan untuk mendukung perkembangan kompetensi siswa ke depannya.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of Kyai and Ustadz in implementing religious moderation education at Pondok Pesantren in Central Kalimantan. The study was conducted at four Pondok Pesantren in Central Kalimantan, namely Pondok Pesantren Hidayatul Insan, Pondok Pesantren Hasanka, Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum, and Pondok Pesantren Darul Amin Sampit. This study is a qualitative study with an interpretive paradigm. The study was conducted from April to September 2021. Data was obtained through observation, interviews and documentary studies. Informants in this study were educators in Pondok Pesantren, namely Kyai, Ustadz, and teachers who teach. The data obtained were then analysed using interactive qualitative analysis techniques: data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. This study found that there are five roles of Kyai and Ustadz in religious moderation education, namely the role of conservator, innovator, the role of transmitter, the role of a transformer, and role of organiser. Departing from these findings, it can be concluded that there is a connectivity between academic and managerial dimensions in implementing religious moderation education at Pondok Pesantren in Central Kalimantan. At this level, Kyai and Ustadz not only play a role in providing understanding and knowledge regarding religious moderation but also carry out managerial activities so that religious moderation education can be carried out and be successful.Keywords:

Abstract

This research is qualitative with the research subjects being 3 families of the Dayak Ngaju tribe. Data collection techniques were carried out using disguised observation techniques, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the implementation of the values of moderation in religion in the Dayak Ngaju family such as the value of tawassuth (taking the middle way) is implied by mutual friendship during major religious celebrations; the value of tawazun (balance) by maintaining harmonious relations between family members; i'tidal values (justice) through mutual respect for one another without any discrimination between family members; the value of tasamuh (tolerance) by giving family members the freedom to embrace their beliefs; the value of musawah (equality) by always being friendly in entertaining family members, Muslim and non-Muslim guests without any discrimination; and the value of shura (deliberation) by building good communication or dialogue between family members.

Abstract

Khotmul Qur'an activity is an important activity as a sign that a santri has completed his learning. Therefore, this service was carried out with the aim of assisting Khotmul Qur'an Santri at TPA Sholawat Ummi to run solemnly through the service learning (SL) method with several stages carried out by the service team, namely 1) preparation and coordination. 2) opening of activities. 3) implementation of activities. 4) closing activities. The evaluation results prove that 1) preparation and coordination have been carried out in a planned and good manner, such as providing a comfortable and conducive place for the implementation of Khotmul Qur'an and various other preparations that have been well coordinated. 2) the opening of the activity is carried out by conveying the stages in carrying out Khotmul Qur'an activities and conveying advice to continue to be istiqomah in reading the Qur'an. 3) the implementation of activities has been carried out systematically in accordance with the stages that have been previously conveyed. 4) closing activities are carried out by reading prayers, distributing food and taking photos together to strengthen the relationship between students, ustadzah, and TPA Sholawat Ummi administrators.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui cara membangun efikasi diri melalui intimasi pertemanan (intimate friendship). Subjek penelitian merupakan mahasiswa PAI FTIK IAIN Palangka Raya tahun angkatan 2021. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun teknik analisis datanya menggunakan analisis data kualitatif menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa upaya dalam membangun efika diri melalui intimate friendship dapat dilakukan dengan cara: seorang mahasiswa harus memiliki rasa kepekaan terhadap situasi emosional orang lain sehingga dalam suatu kelompok dapat saling berbagi dan menyemangati sehingga dapat membangun efikasi diri seseorang untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang dihadapi, seorang mahasiswa harus menunjukkan sikap terbuka dan mampu mengambil pengalaman dari seseorang yang telah berhasil sebelumnya dari kelekatan pertemanan sehingga akan muncul persepsi bahwa ia juga dapat menyelesaikan tugas yang ada, seorang mahasiswa dapat menunjukkan sikap kesetiaan dan pengorbanan dalam pertemanan, sehingga ketika ada salah seorang teman kesulitan belajar dapat saling membentuk kerjasama untuk menyelesaikan masalah perkuliahan, seorang mahasiswa dapat menunjukkan sikap jujur agar pertemanan terhindar dari toxic friendship sehingga hubungan pertemanan didasari emosional yang positif akan membangun efikasi diri semakin meningkat..

Abstract

Most students struggle with independent learning due to low motivation, which typically arises only when completing homework or preparing for exams. This issue is closely related to the concept of self-regulated learning (SRL). This study aims to explore how Islamic education at MTs Mumtaz fosters the development of SRL among students. A qualitative approach was employed, with 16 eighth-grade students as research subjects. Data were collected through structured interviews, direct observation, and documentation. Data analysis followed four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing or verification. The findings reveal that Islamic education at MTs Mumtaz Palangka Raya effectively promotes SRL through the internalization of Islamic values, which serve as the foundation for self-regulation. These values include sincerity (ikhlas), discipline, and responsibility. The internalization process strengthens students’ awareness and independence in managing their learning actively and continuously. These findings align with the theory of Islamic value-based education as a foundation for the development of self-regulation in learners. This study offers important insights for schools in designing value-based learning strategies that support SRL and opens opportunities for further research on the role of Islamic values in promoting autonomous learning.
