Abstract

Indonesia memiliki keanekaragaman hayati yang dapat dimanfaatkan dalam kesehatan rambut, diantaranya yakni minyak kemiri (Aleurites moluccana) dan minyak zaitun (Olea europaea). Pemanfaatan minyak kemiri dan minyak zaitun dalam hal kesehatan rambut perlu dikembangkan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bahwa sediaan krim kombinasi minyak kemiri (Aleurites moluccana) dan minyak zaitun (Olea europaea) dengan formula optimum memiliki sifat fisik yang baik sesuai persyaratan yang telah ditentukan. Bahan minyak zaitun menggunakan produksi dari PT. Brataco. Minyak kemiri yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari pembuatan mandiri dari biji kemiri basah. Penelitian ini dilakukan sesuai dengan Formulasi 1-5 dengan perbandingan minyak zaitun dan minyak kemiri sebanyak 10g:0g, 7.5g:2.5g, 5g:5g, 2.5g:7.5g, dan 0g:10g. Fase minyak dan fase air dimasukkan kedalam cawan masing-masing kemudian dipanaskan hingga 70oC, kemudian fase minyak dimasukkan dalam fase air dan digerus hingga membentuk masa krim (krim M/A). Formula diuji sifat fisiknya meliputi uji organoleptis, uji homogenitas, uji pH, uji daya sebar, dan uji daya lekat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua Formula memiliki stabilitas fisik yang baik sesuai persyaratan yang telah ditentukan. Formula 2, 3 dan 4 merupakan hasil kombiansi terbaik yang dapat digunakan dalam penelitian selanjutnya.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low level of mathematical problem-solving ability among elementary school students and the suboptimal implementation of learning approaches that connect mathematical concepts with real-life situations. This study aims to examine the effect of the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach and learning motivation, as well as their interaction, on the mathematical problem-solving ability of fourth-grade students at SDN 100590 Air Kanan. The method used in this study is a quasi-experimental design with a treatment by level (2 × 2) design and a pretest–posttest nonequivalent control group design. This study employed a saturated sampling technique with a total sample of 40 students. Data collection techniques included essay tests to measure mathematical problem-solving ability and questionnaires to assess learning motivation, both of which had been tested for validity and reliability. Hypothesis testing was conducted through prerequisite tests, t-tests, two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), and follow-up tests. The results showed that there is a significant effect of the PMRI approach on students' mathematical problem-solving ability. In addition, learning motivation also has a significant effect on this ability. Furthermore, there is an interaction between the PMRI learning approach and learning motivation on students' mathematical problem-solving ability. Further findings indicate that students with high motivation in PMRI learning achieved the highest performance, while students with low motivation still showed improvement compared to those taught using the expository approach.

Abstract

Solar energy, as a renewable energy source, holds significant potential in Indonesia due to its equatorial location, which ensures sunlight throughout the year. However, high temperatures and excessive solar radiation can reduce the efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) modules. The purpose of this study is to design an effective cooling system to improve the efficiency of PV and to develop an IoT-based monitoring system to monitor the system's performance in real-time. This cooling method utilizes a water spray nozzle and DS1820 sensors to monitor both the panel surface temperature and the water temperature. Test results show that PV systems with the cooling system produce an average output voltage of 15.15 V, a current of 2.61 A, and a power of 39.54 W, with a power efficiency of 17.17%. In contrast, PV systems without cooling only produce an average output voltage of 13.52 V, a current of 1.6 A, and a power of 21.63 W, with a power efficiency of 9.38%. The implementation of the cooling system improves power efficiency by 82.89%. The difference in power output between the PV with the cooling system and without the cooling system is 17.91 W.

Abstract

Desa Gejugan, Kecamatan Pajarakan, Kabupaten Probolinggo merupakan wilayah pesisir yang mayoritas masyarakatnya berprofesi sebagai nelayan bagan tancap. Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir terjadi penurunan hasil tangkapan akibat overfishing dan degradasi habitat, yang berdampak langsung terhadap kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat. Permasalahan ini diperparah oleh minimnya pengetahuan konservasi dan terbatasnya inovasi diversifikasi usaha perikanan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan ekowisata berbasis konservasi sekaligus memulihkan stok ikan melalui pemasangan rumah ikan (artificial reef) sebagai habitat buatan. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang melibatkan dosen, pemerintah daerah, dan Kelompok Usaha Bersama (KUB) nelayan. Tahapan kegiatan meliputi koordinasi stakeholder, pelatihan manajemen Marine Protected Area (MPA), perencanaan dan penenggelaman rumah ikan, restocking larva kepiting, serta pelatihan pengolahan hasil laut. Satu unit rumah ikan berukurang 175 x 93 x 55 cm berhasil dipasang di lokasi yang telah disepakati bersama dan diharapkan berperan sebagai habitat buatan serta  nursery ground bagi ikan dan biota lainnya. Kegiatan restocking dilaksanakan dengan melepas 1.000 ekor larva kepiting di sekitar lokasi penenggelaman. Program ini menginisiasi pengembangan paket ekowisata pancing sebagai alternatif mata pencaharian masyarakat pesisir.  . Secara keseluruhan, seluruh tahapan kegiatan telah terlaksana sesuai rencana dan memperkuat sinergi antara pelestarian lingkungan dan peningkatan lokal Desa Gejugan.   Gejugan Village, located in Pajarakan Subdistrict, Probolinggo Regency, is a coastal area where most residents work as lift-net fishers. In recent years, fish catches have declined due to overfishing and habitat degradation, directly affecting the socio-economic condition of the community. Limited knowledge of conservation practices and a lack of fisheries business diversification have further aggravated the situation. This community service program aimed to develop conservation-based ecotourism while supporting fish stock recovery through the installation of artificial reefs. The program applied a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach involving academics, local government agencies, and fisher groups. Activities included stakeholder coordination, Marine Protected Area (MPA) management training, artificial reef construction and deployment, crab larvae restocking, and seafood processing training. One unit of artificial reef measuring 175 × 93 × 55 cm was successfully installed at an agreed location and is expected to serve as an artificial habitat and nursery ground for fish and other marine organisms. A total of 1,000 crab larvae were released near the installation site as part of the restocking effort. The program also initiated the development of crab-fishing ecotourism packages as an alternative livelihood for the coastal community. Overall, all planned activities were successfully implemented, strengthening the synergy between environmental conservation and local economic improvement in Gejugan Village.

Abstract

Strengthening rahmatan lil ‘alamin character among MTs students is essential because learners at the early adolescent stage require concrete role models to understand and practice Islamic values in a polite, tolerant, caring, and responsible manner. This study aims to describe the strengthening of rahmatan lil ‘alamin character among students at MTs Al Hasanah Palabuhanratu Sukabumi through the exemplary conduct of Islamic Religious Education teachers. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings show that the exemplary conduct of Islamic Religious Education teachers is reflected in polite communication, discipline, fairness, care, educative correction, and active involvement in religious activities at the madrasah. The values strengthened include politeness, care, tolerance, peacefulness, responsibility, and discipline. In conclusion, the exemplary conduct of Islamic Religious Education teachers serves as an effective medium for internalizing rahmatan lil ‘alamin character because students learn through observation, imitation, and habituation. The implications of this study highlight the importance of strengthening the madrasah’s religious culture, maintaining consistent teacher role modeling, and enhancing collaboration between the madrasah and families in fostering students’ character.

Abstract

Tingginya angka pengangguran lulusan SMK di Gorontalo mendorong penguatan employability skill untuk meningkatkan kesiapan kerja. Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh employability skill terhadap kesiapan kerja siswa SMK konsentrasi pemesinan. Metode: Penelitian asosiatif kuantitatif dengan sampel jenuh 64 siswa dari 3 SMK; data dikumpulkan lewat angket yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitas, diolah menggunakan regresi sederhana (SPSS 27). Hasil: Employability skill berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kesiapan kerja (r = 0,710; r² = 0,504; b = 0,399; t = 7,943; p < 0,001), artinya 50,4% variansi kesiapan kerja dijelaskan oleh employability skill. Implikasi: Penguatan program pengembangan keterampilan kerja pada SMK perlu diprioritaskan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the optimization of public services at the East Numfor District Office, Biak Numfor Regency and identify the factors that affect its implementation. The research uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research informants consisted of district officials, honorary staff, village heads, and community leaders. Data analysis is carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and descriptive conclusion drawing based on five dimensions of service quality, namely reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and real evidence. The results of the study show that public services at the East Numfor District Office have been optimally pursued through the commitment of the apparatus in providing services to the community. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen institutional capacity through the provision of adequate service facilities, improve the discipline of the apparatus, and develop a service system that is more adaptive to the characteristics of the archipelago to improve the quality of public services.

Abstract

Abstract The realization of professionalism within the Indonesian National Police must be supported by effective supervision. This study examines the implementation of supervision by the Regional Supervisory Inspectorate in realizing police professionalism within the West Kalimantan Regional Police, along with the factors influencing it. The research is a normative-empirical legal study with descriptive-analytical analysis, combining qualitative analysis of normative data with primary data analysis. The results indicate that supervision by the Regional Supervisory Inspectorate of the West Kalimantan Regional Police is conducted through a performance audit method conducted in two stages within one fiscal year, as well as ongoing operational evaluations. Factors influencing the implementation of supervision include: limited authority, personnel availability and capabilities, geographic factors, organizational culture, and limited public understanding of the complaint mechanism. Keywords: Police; Profesionalism; Supervision Abstrak Perwujudan profesionalisme anggota Kepolisian Negara Republik Indonesia harus ditunjang dengan pengawasan yang baik. Penelitian ini mengulas pelaksanaan pengawasan oleh Inspektorat Pengawas Daerah dalam mewujudkan profesionalisme anggota kepolisian di lingkungan Kepolisian Daerah Kalimantan Barat beserta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Adapun bentuk penelitian berupa penelitian hukum normatif-empiris dengan analisis bersifat deskriptif-analisis yang menggabungkan analisis kualitatif dari data normatif dengan analisis data primer. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan hasil bahwa pengawasan oleh Inspektorat Pengawas Daerah Kepolisian Daerah Kalimantan Barat dilakukan melalui metode audit kinerja yang dilakukan dua tahap dalam satu tahun anggaran serta evaluasi operasional yang berkelanjutan. Adapun faktor yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan pengawasan, yaitu: keterbatasan kewenangan, ketersediaan dan kemampuan personel, faktor geografis, faktor budaya organisasi, serta minimnya pemahaman masyarakat akan mekanisme pengaduan. Abstract

Chemistry is often considered difficult by high school students because many of its concepts are abstract, technical, and require the retention of factual information. One fundamental topic that students need to master is the periodic table, as it supports their understanding of element symbols, element groups, periodic trends, and other chemistry concepts. This community service activity aimed to improve students’ understanding of the periodic table through mnemonic and visualization approaches. The activity was conducted at SMAN 2 Banjarbaru and involved 36 students from class X-6. The program consisted of interactive training on the Periodic System of Elements, a Chemical Elements BINGO game, and a short socialization session about the Chemistry Department. Students’ learning outcomes were evaluated using pre- and post-tests, while their responses to the activity were collected through a questionnaire. The average percentage of correct answers increased from 82.22% in the pre-test to 93.33% in the post-test, with an overall normalized gain (g) of 0.625, which falls within the medium category. A paired-samples t-test showed that the increase was statistically significant, t(35) = 2.76, p = 0.009, with a moderate effect size (Cohen’s dz = 0.46). Students also reported positive responses to the mnemonic method, visual learning media, and interactive learning process. These findings indicate that mnemonic and visualization approaches have the potential to support more engaging and interactive learning of the periodic table.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an interpretive Decision Tree model to identify depression levels in college students using Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) data. Depression in college students is a growing mental health issue, while most machine learning models are still difficult to interpret. Therefore, this study uses Decision Tree as an explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) approach that is able to produce transparent and easy-to-understand decision rules. The research method uses a supervised learning approach with PHQ-9 data represented in text form and converted into numeric using Label Encoding. The target variable is formed based on the depression level category from the total PHQ-9 score. The model was evaluated using a 5-fold cross-validation technique with accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score metrics. The results showed that the model achieved an accuracy of 54.4% in cross-validation and 68% in training data, with a macro F1-score of 0.67. Feature importance analysis showed that the PHQ2 variable was the most dominant factor in classifying depression. In addition, the Decision Tree structure was able to provide a clear interpretation of the pattern of depressive symptoms in college students. This study shows that Decision Tree has the potential to support early detection of student depression in a more transparent and interpretable manner.
