This study discusses students' passive participation, understanding challenges, and limitations in case-solving skills in Learning and Pedagogy lectures. This study aims to address critical gaps in pedagogical research and offer evidence-based recommendations for improving teaching practices across academic disciplines. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach. The design used is pre-experimental with a one-shot case study model. This study involved two data collection techniques, namely questionnaires and structured observations. The population in this study were all students of Malang State University who took the Learning and Pedagogy course in the Odd Semester of the 2022/2023 academic year. The researcher selected the B1 Offering class by purposive sampling, with the following inclusion criteria: active students, attending all lecture meetings, and willing to fill out the questionnaire and take the posttest. The findings indicate that the application of the case method is effective, with a sig value of 0.000. In particular, students who scored above 75 showed an average posttest score of 83.5688. This underlines the positive impact of the case method in encouraging students' active participation and case-solving skills.

In the evolving landscape of education, the fusion of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) disciplines with literacy education emerges as a pivotal strategy for fostering comprehensive learning. Despite its significance, elementary schools face obstacles in seamlessly incorporating STEM principles into their curricula, highlighting a gap in effective STEM- based educational practices. This research endeavors to pinpoint the hurdles impeding STEM integration and to devise strategic interventions aimed at bolstering STEM-centric learning, with a special emphasis on enhancing student literacy. Through detailed observations and dynamic discussions with key school stakeholders including Principals and faculty members the study identified foundational challenges such as a limited grasp of STEM concepts among teachers, a scarcity of relevant instructional materials, an absence of innovative strategies for teaching literacy and technology, and a general unfamiliarity with STEM-focused pedagogy. Responding to these challenges, the study orchestrated a series of targeted interventions. These included Focus Group Discussions (FGD). The post-intervention phase unveiled significant progress: educators exhibited a more profound understanding of how to develop STEM-focused learning materials and acknowledged the critical role of literacy and numeracy in student education. The strategic interventions not only mitigated the initial barriers but also equipped educators in elementary schools with the essential tools and knowledge to guide their students through an integrated learning journey in literacy and numeracy, underpinned by the core tenets of STEM education.

Background: Transformasi pembelajaran matematika bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi bagaimana penerapan deep learning dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya materi bangun datar, mendorong siswa kelas 3 SD Negeri Sumbertaman 2 dalam membangun pola pikir yang kritis sekaligus kreatif. Metode: Pendekatan kualitatif dengan subjek 26 siswa dan guru kelas 3 SD Negeri Sumbertaman 2. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode wawancara, observasi, serta studi dokumentasi. Untuk menjamin validitas data, digunakan triangulasi baik dari segi sumber maupun metode, sementara proses analisis mengacu pada model interaktif Miles & Huberman (1994). Hasil: Penerapan deep learning pada materi bangun datar dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa dengan menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih interaktif dan menyenangkan. Kesimpulan: Rekomendasi dari kegiatan ini adalah agar sekolah dapat terus mengintegrasikan teknologi dalam pembelajaran matematika, serta memberikan pelatihan kepada guru untuk memaksimalkan potensi deep learning.

The fading character of politeness and cooperation among elementary school students encourages the need for innovation in teaching materials. This research focuses on Canva and Heyzine-based digital teaching materials to strengthen character and citizenship education at SDN Pisangcandi 3. The aim is to analyze the effectiveness of teaching materials in improving students' character values. The case study method was used with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, document analysis, and questionnaires. Thematic analysis was conducted in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed an increase in students' understanding of the value of politeness and cooperation through interactive and interesting digital teaching materials. However, there are challenges in optimization related to teacher skills and resource availability. In conclusion, the innovation of digital teaching materials is effective in shaping student character, with recommendations for teacher training for further effectiveness.

Implementation of character education must be familiar from an early age, especially religious character. A religious character is a human character based on religious aspects. One example of religious character planting activities is the dhuha and istighosah prayers. Semiotics is interpreted as a description of ideas, objects, and situations related to media, messages, culture, and society. The purpose of this research is to find out the message of cultivating religious character in SDI KHA. Wahid Hasyim is based on signs (icons, indexes, and symbols). This study uses a qualitative research approach presented in a descriptive form and analyzed by studying Charles Sanders Pierce's semiotic theory with the triangle theory of meaning, namely Icons, Indexes, and Symbols. The results of this study are 1) SDI KHA. Wahid Hasyim, as one of the Nahdlatul Ulama-based schools, implemented a religious character outside of the learning process by habituating the Dhuha prayer in congregation and regular istighosah every Thursday. 2) Dhuha and istighosah prayer activities have messages and culture that want to be instilled and conveyed to students from an early age. 3) signs such as body posture, setting of the place, and time have their meaning related to the cultivation of religious character.

Learning using interactive learning multimedia is more effective and easy to understand by students so it can be used to increase students' motivation and thinking skills. Therefore, this study aims to produce media in the form of interactive learning multimedia that is valid, practical, and effective in improving students' critical thinking skills. This type of research is an R&D research using Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of the small group test in this study were 10 students while the subjects of the large group test were 24 students. The object of this study is the quality of media in the form of interactive learning multimedia for social studies learning as seen from the results of validity, practicality, and effectiveness of media. The data collection instruments used in this study are using qualitative and quantitative approaches that include interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The results of the study showed that 1) the results of the validation of media experts obtained very valid and material experts obtained very valid; 2) the results of the student response questionnaire obtained very practical and the results of the teacher response questionnaire obtained very practical; 3) The effectiveness of the media can be seen in the results of the t-test calculation where the sig value is 0.00 < 0.05, which means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. From the results of these acquisitions, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference after using interactive learning multimedia. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that interactive learning multimedia using Canva is declared valid, practical, and effective to improve students' critical thinking skills.

Effective teaching methods are essential to facilitate students' cognitive, social, and emotional development. One of the approaches proposed in the Merdeka Curriculum is Project Based Learning (P5), which invites students to be directly involved in the learning process through real projects. The research method used is a causal quantitative method with a population of 5th grade students at SDN Karangesuki 4 with a sample size of 54 students. The data analysis technique uses a t-test with a significance level of 5%. The T-test used is a separated variant or polled variant with a calculation tool in the form of SPSS. Based on the results of the research and discussion, several conclusions can be put forward. The conclusions that will be put forward in this research are as follows. 1) There is an increase in collaboration skills between students who learn using project-based learning and students who learn using LKPD (Learner Worksheets) on the theme "Use of Used Goods" class 5 at SDN 4 Karangbesuki, Malang City. It can be seen that the post-test average for the experimental group using project-based learning was 19.058, while the post-test average for the control group was 14.117. Based on the average increase in students' collaborative learning skills, it can be concluded that the increase in students' collaborative learning skills is higher in children who use project-based learning. 2) The results of the analysis of student responses on collaborative learning skills showed that the final percentage of student responses was 81.18% which was classified as very positive. In the world of education, science learning is less effective if it is only done by rote memorization or passively listening to the teacher explain. In science learning activities, there must be a scientific process, producing scientific products by carrying out trials/experiments and forming students' scientific attitudes. The purpose of this research and development is to create Flashcard media by utilizing peer teaching strategies on material on the influence of heat on temperature and shape of objects, which is included in the valid category, which is approved by material experts, media experts, and teachers as users, and is practical and effective when used with science learning. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The research was carried out in trials at SDN 2 Plosokerep and testing at SDN 1 Kepanjenlor with subjects as fourth grade students. Data was obtained based on the results of observations, interviews, questionnaires and test evaluations. The Flashcard media validity test obtained an average score of 94.1% in the very valid category. The practicality test got an average of 89.1% in the very practical category and the effectiveness test with an average of 81% in the effective category. With the conclusion that this research and development can produce Flashcard media that meets the categories of validity, practicality and effectiveness tests.

Early abilities in recognizing numbers and understanding vocabulary serve as a fundamental foundation in developing literacy and numeracy skills among first-grade elementary students. Unfortunately, the conventional subject-separated approach to learning often leads to a lack of student interest and difficulty in grasping concepts holistically. This study aims to explore the use of the Webbed-type integrated learning model based on educational games as a fun and developmentally appropriate method to improve students' understanding of numbers 1–10 and vocabulary mastery. Learning activities were conducted using media such as number snakes and ladders, number hopping, and number cards, under the theme “Let’s Play While Learning Numbers.” The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, documentation, and learning outcome tests. The study involved 32 first-grade students of SDN Klampok II, Tongas District, Probolinggo Regency. The results showed an increase in learning interest, active participation, and comprehensive understanding of numbers and vocabulary. These findings support the application of the Webbed model based on educational games as an effective and enjoyable alternative approach for early-grade elementary education.

This qualitative study, employing a case study design, aims to describe the implementation of character education values at SD Negeri 5 Dampit, particularly in supporting students from broken home families. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The data analysis was conducted through individual case analysis and cross-case analysis to ensure comprehensive findings. The results reveal that character values, such as discipline, responsibility, empathy, and religiousness—are instilled contextually through daily school activities and integrated into the learning process both inside and outside the classroom. The holistic approach applied by teachers and school staff proves effective in fostering personal resilience and positive behavior among broken home students. As a result, the school serves as an alternative nurturing environment that significantly supports the character development of these students.
