Abstract

Filsafat pendidikan berperan penting dalam pembentukan karakter siswa dengan menyediakan landasan konseptual untuk integrasi nilai-nilai moral, etika, dan tujuan hidup dalam pendidikan. Penelitian ini mengkaji pengertian, tujuan, dan fungsi filsafat pendidikan serta peran berbagai alirannya, seperti idealisme, pragmatisme, dan eksistensialisme, dalam membentuk karakter siswa melalui. Setiap aliran memberikan pendekatan unik, mulai dari penekanan pada nilai-nilai moral universal hingga pengembangan kebebasan dan tanggung jawab individu. Strategi implementasi filsafat pendidikan meliputi pendidikan berbasis nilai, keteladanan guru, pendekatan holistik, dan refleksi diri, yang menghadapi tantangan dari berbagai faktor eksternal. Adapun upaya dalam mengatasi tantangan implementasi tersebut perlu kerja sama antara sekolah, keluarga, dan masyarakat untuk memastikan keberhasilan pembentukan karakter siswa melalui filsafat pendidikan.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the high-level thinking skills of sixth-grade elementary school students in answering HOTS questions in science subjects. The research method used was quantitative descriptive. The data collection technique was using test techniques. The research sample was sixth-grade students in Wates sub-district, Kediri Regency who had completed the magnet material with a sample size of 243 students. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS. The critical thinking skills of elementary school students in Kediri Regency in solving HOTS science questions were included in the sufficient category with an average of 49.03. The average for female students in solving HOTS science questions was 48.20 while male students obtained an average of 49.84. T-test and correlation data from SPSS stated that gender differences were not a factor that influenced students' abilities in solving HOTS questions.

Abstract

Cultural awareness enables individuals to behave following social norms in various cultures. This research describes the practice of character cultivation by strengthening the Pancasila Berkebinekaan global student profile project at SDN Pagentan 3, focusing on recognizing and appreciating cultural diversity. A qualitative descriptive method was employed, utilizing data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that cultivating character through the Pancasila Berkebinekaan global student profile project at SDN Pagentan 3 is centered around introducing and understanding values through traditional Indonesian dances, Indonesian cuisine, and traditional attire. This character cultivation involves three stages: 1) the moral knowing stage, achieved through the integration of the curriculum and global diversity values from relevant sources such as images and videos; 2) the moral feeling stage, where students are directly engaged in experiences such as sharing Indonesian cuisine, participating in traditional dances, and wearing traditional attire to foster pride in Indonesian culture and respect for cultural differences. 3) the moral action stage is fostered through activities encouraging students to express their opinions, collaborate, and acknowledge one another's achievements. This research is a reference for educators in designing character education programs to help students internalize global diversity values at the Elementary School level.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability to write narrative essays of fifth grade elementary school students. In this study, there are 2 types of narrative essays, namely expository narrative essays and suggestive narrative essays. In this study used a descriptive research method, a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were 20 students of class V at SDN Cemorokandang 4, Malang City. The instrument used is the instrument for students' ability to write narrative essays. The data analysis technique used is the Milles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and verification/conclusion. Based on the results of an analysis of the ability to write narrative essays for fifth grade students at Cemorokandang 4 Elementary School, Malang City, the assessment guidelines for writing narrative essays consist of 6 aspects, namely plot, characters, setting, content, style (choice and vocabulary structure), and spelling and punctuation. The results category for writing expository narrative essays showed 15 students had good criteria, 4 students had enough criteria, and 1 student lacked criteria. The category of students' suggestive narrative writing results showed 2 students with very good criteria, 9 students for good criteria, 3 students for sufficient criteria, and 6 students for poor criteria.

Abstract

This study explores students' perceptions of using Jenni AI to improve their ability to write scientific arguments in English classes. Involving 67 students as respondents, this study used a quantitative survey method through Google Forms to collect data related to students' experiences and views on the advantages and disadvantages of Jenni AI. The results showed that most students felt significant benefits from Jenni AI, especially in helping to develop stronger arguments, improve writing structure, and overcome writing obstacles such as writer's block. On the other hand, there were concerns about potential negative impacts, such as over-reliance on technology that could inhibit critical thinking and creativity and the risk of unintentional plagiarism. The findings reflect that while AI can enhance the writing process, its use needs to be balanced with an awareness of the risks involved. The implications of this study emphasize a balanced approach to AI in education, as well as the need for learning strategies that optimally integrate technology without compromising students' independence of thought.

Abstract

This research aims to identify how the realism philosophy is applied in students' mathematics learning and skills in elementary schools, understand the concrete benefits of the realism philosophy in improving the quality of mathematics education, identify the principles of realism philosophy in learning, improving mathematics learning, and elementary school student involvement. The method used in this research is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) which is descriptive. Data collection was carried out by reviewing all articles related to the philosophy of realism in mathematics learning in elementary schools in the period 2019 - 2024. The articles used in this research were 20 accredited national journal articles obtained from Google Scholar, SINTA, which were accessed through the Google Scholar database. The results of this research show that integrating realism philosophy emphasizes understanding mathematical concepts as representations of observable reality, which are used to design more effective teaching strategies. Through this realism philosophy, students are invited to connect mathematical concepts with their daily experiences, thereby increasing relevance and understanding. Research shows that the application of learning methods based on the philosophy of realism, such as the use of teaching aids and real contexts, can increase student motivation and learning outcomes in elementary school mathematics learning.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of teachers in building student character in elementary schools, seen from the perspective of the philosophy of idealism. Character education is an integral part of the educational process which aims to form individuals with noble character. In the philosophy of idealism, character education does not only focus on aspects of the academic curriculum, but also on the formation of moral and ethical values that must be implemented by teachers as role models. This research used a qualitative descriptive method with interview and observation techniques with several teachers at MI Riyadlul Ulum, Pasuruan City. The research results show that the teacher's role in building character education is based on 4 approaches, namely exemplary, habitual, integrative and collaborative approaches. Overall, the idealist perspective in elementary school education emphasizes the importance of character education, the role of teachers as role models, effective educational management, and the integration of idealistic values in all aspects of learning.

Abstract

This research aims to 1) develop e-book LKPD, 2) determine the validity of e-book LKPD, 3) analyze the effectiveness of Project P5 e-book LKPD with Local Wisdom Theme in supporting students' critical thinking. Type of development research with the ADDIE model. The development steps consist of 5 stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The research sample was 29 small group students and 28 large group students. Data was collected through observation, interviews, expert test instruments, and student questionnaires. Qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. The results of the research show that the development of the P5 e-book LKPD project with the theme of local wisdom is one contribution to the development of e-book LKPD innovation to support students' critical thinking. Therefore, it can be concluded that the P5 project e-book LKPD with the theme of local wisdom is valid from the validation results of media and material experts, obtaining a percentage of 85% and the percentage of calculation of questionnaire results obtained at 86.64%, so it needs to be developed.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum is an intracurricular curriculum in which the material is maximized so that students have more time to develop learning ideas and expand their competency. The Mobilizing School's role in implementing the Independent Curriculum is to create an operational curriculum that satisfies the learning requirements of students. Schools also provide infrastructure and human resources to facilitate the Independent Curriculum's implementation. In this study, a qualitative descriptive approach was used to describe the topic about the circumstances and information gathered during the observation, as well as the challenges encountered, so that it became valuable knowledge and input to policymakers in revising the curriculum. The findings of this study reveal that the Independent Curriculum has been implemented maximally and stably in Mobilizing Schools, albeit there are still numerous inadequacies and challenges to its implementation. The ability of school leaders and teachers to implement changes is critical in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum in Mobilizing Schools. The principle, as a leader and facilitator, must be able to influence the mentality of the human data source staff in order to carry out reforms at the school and ensure that the Independent Curriculum is implemented efficiently.
