Abstract

The potato stick-cutting machine is a device that cuts potatoes into long pieces (sticks). This machine can achieve consistent cutting outcomes and rapid cutting times. This is certainly difficult to accomplish manually using hands and knives, especially if the person is inexperienced. This machine's components include a frame, a blade, a knife nest, a cutting disc, a pulley, a V-belt, a pressing lever, a speed regulator, and an electric motor. The potato stick-cutting machine measures 500 mm in length, 300 mm in width, and 700 mm in height. It is driven by a 1 HP motor that is linked to a speed controller to limit its speed. The motor can produce 135 kg of potato sticks per hour using a 2-inch and an 8-inch pulley. The manufacturing cost of this machine is Rp. 4,827,488.00.

Abstract

Security disturbances are events that cause disruption of security stability in the community, both criminal and social problems, which are now familiar to some Indonesian people, so it is deemed necessary to adopt the concept of Community Policing (Community Policing) or commonly abbreviated as "Polmas". In order to create security in the community, the National Police are given the task according to the law so that the Police are able to create comfort and security in the community. The spearhead of the implementation of community policing is the Bhayangkara Supervisor of Community Security and Order (BHABINKAMTIBMAS) who is a Community Officer (Police Officer) who is a member of the National Police in charge of fostering Bhabinkamtibmas and is also a Polmas officer in the Village/Kelurahan. The main problem examined in this study is 1. How Bhabinkamtibmas in fostering security in the Matur community; 2. What is the impact of the presence of Bhayangkara, the builder of public security and order (Bhabinkamtibmas) of the National Police in handling minor crimes (Tipiring) in the jurisdiction of the Matur Police, Agam Regency. The research method used in this research is empirical juridical also known as field research. Data sources consist of primary data and secondary data. Data was collected by means of interviews and document studies. Then the data collected was analyzed qualitatively. The results of the study indicate that Bhabinkamtibmas has the main task of fostering security and order in the Matur community and the impact of the presence of Bhabinkamtibmas Polri in handling minor crimes at the Matur Police

Abstract

Remaja merupakan individu pada tahap peralihan anak-anak menuju dewasa, pada fase ini ada banyak sekali tantangan kehidupan yang dihadapi remaja. Terutama pada era digital, yang di mana remaja harus mampu beradaptasi pada perkembangan teknologi informasi yang masih sering disalah gunakan. Dalam hal ini, pola asuh orang tua sangat berpengaruh terhadap karakter anak remaja. Beberapa perilaku menyimpang yang sering dilakukan oleh remaja seperti tawuran, minum-minuman keras, judi online, bolos sekolah, balap liar, seks bebas (di luar nikah), pencurian, dan merokok berkaitan dengan pola asuh orang tua. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa besar dampak pola asuh orang tua terhadap perilaku menyimpang anak remaja dengan menggunakan metode kajian pustaka. Studi pustaka memperoleh hasil bahwa pola asuh orang tua memberikan dampak yang signifikan pada perilaku menyimpang remaja di era digital. Pola asuh orang tua sangat menentukan menjadi apa, bagaimana dan siapa anak nanti ke depannya, sehingga sangat penting bagi orang tua harus menyesuaikan pola asuh yang diberikannya pada anak dengan kebutuhan anak.

Abstract

Seismic response analysis is a key aspect in earthquake geotechnical engineering, as it provides important insights into the behavior of soils when exposedtoseismic forces. This research compares equivalent linear and non-linear models in the central coastal region of Bengkulu, which is known for its complex geology and high seismicity. By evaluating the accuracy and reliability of each model in predicting ground motion amplification, this research aims to provide useful recommendations for seismic design. The research method uses one-dimensional equivalent linear and nonlinear propagation modeling, namely Pressure Dependent Hyperbolic (PDH). The analysis resulted in the parameters of Peak Ground Acceleration (PGA), time history acceleration, spectral response acceleration, and amplification factor. The equivalent linear method consistently produced higher values for peak ground acceleration (PGA), spectral response acceleration, time history acceleration, and amplification factor compared to the nonlinear method. The analysis results show that the equivalent linear PGA values are in the range of 0.32g to 0.63g, while the nonlinear values range from 0.20g to 0.52g. The resulting spectral responses are averaged over the design spectrum within 0.2 s to 0.9 s, which can affect low- to high-ceilinged buildings. The equivalent linear amplification factor has a range of 1.59 to 1.91, while the nonlinear has a range of 0.80 to 1.59. Both methods have their advantages, with the nonlinear approach offering greater accuracy for large seismic events, while the equivalent linear model remains useful for preliminary analysis. Hopefully, these findings will improve the understanding of ground response in coastal areas and provide valuable data for improving infrastructure resilience in earthquake-prone areas around the world.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of MSMEs performance on poverty rates and income inequality in Jambi province. Using panel data from 11 regencies/cities during the period 2013-2022, the analysis model applied to estimate the functional relationship between variables is a fixed effect panel regression approach. The results of the study indicate that MSMEs performance can positively and significantly reduce poverty rates and improve income distribution in the region. The higher the performance of MSMEs, the lower the poverty rate and the lower the income inequality. This finding has implications that local government efforts to reduce poverty rates and improve income distribution in the province can be carried out through policies related to improving MSMEs performance

Abstract

Applying STEAM-based learning methods is challenging for early childhood (EC) educators because most of them need help to develop media and learning activities. This study aims to improve EC teachers' proficiency in implementing STEAM learning methods with loose-part materials through project-based learning (PjBL) models. This action research uses the Elliot model, which consists of 7 steps: initial idea identification, fact analysis, general planning, implementation, observation, evaluation, and idea improvement. The participants in this study were 15 preschool teachers from different institutions in Langsa, Aceh. Data collection techniques used observation and the instruments consisted of observation sheets and project assessment sheets. The results showed that the average score of teacher competence in cycles one and two increased. 80% of the total 15 teachers have reached the minimum success indicator. Therefore, the PjBL method is concluded to improve the competence of EC teachers in implementing STEAM method learning with loose parts. From the results of this study, it is hoped that teachers can apply it in their respective institutions to provide more comprehensive benefits to students. This study suggests that early childhood institutions should help EC teachers implement the STEAM-based loose parts. Further research can be conducted in ECE on the extend of STEAM implementation.

Abstract

Sistem e-learning memiliki peran penting dalam menunjang proses pembelajaran di masa era digital saat ini, namun, efektivitas sistem ini sangat bergantung pada tata kelola dan manajemen teknologi informasi yang baik dalam bidang Pendidikan. Sistem e-learning menjadi solusi alternatif yang relevan, terutama dalam kondisi di mana pembelajaran tatap muka tidak dapat dilakukan secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan audit terhadap sistem informasi e-learning di SMAN 2 Binjai menggunakan kerangka kerja COBIT 5.0. Metodologi penelitian meliputi identifikasi permasalahan, studi literatur, pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, kuesioner, dan analisis dokumen, serta evaluasi tingkat kapabilitas berdasarkan domain COBIT 5.0. Fokus penelitian adalah menilai tingkat kapabilitas proses dan mengidentifikasi gap antara kondisi saat ini dengan target yang diinginkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beberapa proses masih berada di bawah tingkat kapabilitas yang diharapkan (level 3 – Established Process). Untuk itu, diberikan rekomendasi perbaikan seperti peningkatan dokumentasi, evaluasi risiko yang lebih terstruktur, serta pelatihan sumber daya manusia. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam membantu institusi pendidikan meningkatkan pengelolaan dan efektivitas sistem e-learning, sehingga mampu mendukung tercapainya tujuan organisasi secara optimal.Kata Kunci: Audit Sistem Informasi, E-learning, COBIT 5.0 ABSTRACTThe e-learning system plays an essential role in supporting the learning process in today's digital era. However, the effectiveness of this system largely depends on proper information technology governance and management in the education sector. E-learning systems have become a relevant alternative solution, particularly in situations where face-to-face learning cannot be conducted optimally. This study aims to audit the e-learning information system at SMAN 2 Binjai using the COBIT 5.0 framework. The research methodology includes problem identification, literature review, data collection through interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis, as well as capability level evaluation based on the COBIT 5.0 domains. The study focuses on assessing the process capability levels and identifying gaps between current conditions and desired targets. The results indicate that several processes remain below the expected capability level (level 3 – Established Process). Recommendations for improvement include enhancing documentation, implementing more structured risk evaluations, and providing training for human resources. This study provides significant contributions to assisting educational institutions in improving the management and effectiveness of e-learning systems, thereby supporting the achievement of organizational goals optimally.Keywords: Information System Audit, E-learning, COBIT 5.0

Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the challenges encountered in the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy in Islamic Religious Colleges (PTKI) in Aceh and to propose strategies to address these challenges and enhance the effectiveness of policy implementation. The study focuses specifically on implementing the MBKM policy in PTKI in Aceh, which is noteworthy due to the unique obstacles relating to infrastructure and human resources in this region. The study offers strategic solutions that can be employed to improve the effectiveness of MBKM policy implementation. Furthermore, it provides valuable insights for other universities in Indonesia that may confront similar challenges in implementing the MBKM policy. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach to investigate PTKI subjects, using interviews, observations, and policy document analysis. The findings reveal that significant obstacles, including a lack of understanding and awareness, limited technological infrastructure, insufficient internet access, and financial constraints impede the implementation of PTKI in Aceh. To overcome these challenges, strategic efforts are needed to raise awareness and educate stakeholders about MBKM, upgrade technology and internet infrastructure, enhance human resource readiness and training, revise internal policies to support the flexibility of MBKM better, streamline bureaucratic processes, and explore additional or alternative sources of funding to support program implementation.

Abstract

Introduction/Main Objective: Poverty remains a significant challenge for local governments in achieving economic development goals in Jambi Province. To address this issue, local governments have undertaken efforts to improve the quality of education and healthcare. Additionally, development initiatives are expected to enhance income distribution within society. This study aims to examine and analyze the effects of education and healthcare on poverty reduction in Jambi Province. Unlike previous studies, this research incorporates the Gini ratio as a predictor variable for poverty rate. Research Methodology: The data utilized in this study are secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Jambi Province. The data comprise panel data from 11 regencies and cities for the period 2011–2023. The analytical model employed is panel regression using the fixed-effects approach. Findings/Results: The study reveals that education and healthcare have a significant and negative impact on poverty rate. Improved education and healthcare quality are associated with lower poverty rate. Conversely, income inequality, has a significant positive effect on poverty, where an increase in the Gini ratio leads to higher poverty rate. Conclusion/Recommendations: Poverty rate in Jambi Province are significantly influenced by the quality of education and healthcare, as well as income inequality. Therefore, local governments in Jambi Province should implement integrated and actionable policies by simultaneously intervening in the areas of education, healthcare, and income distribution.

Abstract

Urban farming merupakan salah satu solusi ketahanan pangan masyarakat perkotaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1. menganalisis keberlanjutan urban farming ditinjau dari lima dimensi, yaitu ekologis, ekonomi, sosial, teknologi dan kelembagaan, serta 2. menganalisis tantangan dan upaya pelaku urban farming mengatasi kendala yang dihadapi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif  kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui survei dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menemukan kelima dimensi urban farming perlu ditingkatkan untuk mendukung keberlanjutan urban farming di Kota Pekanbaru. Tantangan utama urban farming adalah keterbatasan lahan, permodalan dan teknologi. Upaya yang dilakukan pelaku urban farming untuk mengatasi kendala antara lain: proaktif dalam belajar mandiri, membangun jejaring dan kemitraan, bergabung dalam kelompok, memaksimalkan sumber daya yang tersedia, memperluas lahan, mengakses bantuan dari pemerintah, dan melakukan inovasi. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan untuk meningkatkan akses dan kualitas pelatihan, memberdayakan kelompok dan komunitas, mengembangkan teknologi ramah lingkungan, mengorientasikan kegiatan urban farming pada ekonomi pasar, serta meningkatkan dukungan kelembagaan dari pemerintah. Selain itu, optimalisasi penggunaan lahan terlantar juga perlu dilakukan melalui skema sewa atau bagi hasil dengan pemilik lahan.
