Abstract

Judgment Number 1423K/Pid.Sus/2018, relates to the defendant's commission of the criminal act of sexual intercourse through deception against a minor. This study aims to assess and analyze whether the judge's decision in case number 1423K/Pid.Sus/2018 complies with the criminal sanctions under Article 81 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection. It also seeks to examine and analyze why the judge disagreed with the public prosecutor's indictment. The research method used is normative juridical research, employing a statutory approach, conceptual approach, and case approach. The legal materials used include primary, secondary, and tertiary legal sources. The data collection method used is literature review. The analytical technique employed in this study is prescriptive analysis. The results of this research indicate that Judgment Number 1423K/Pid.Sus/2018 fulfills the juridical elements. However, the imposed sentence is still not in accordance with Article 81 paragraph (2) of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection because the punishment imposed is below the minimum threat of punishment. Additionally, the judge disagreed with the public prosecutor's indictment, which charged the defendant under Article 88 paragraph (1) of Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection. The judge believed that the defendant only fulfilled the element of sexual intercourse and not exploitation.

Abstract

Abstract

According to data from the Central Bureau of Statistics, the agricultural sector is the business field that absorbs the most elderly workers. However, elderly farmers actually become vulnerable to musculoskeletal disorders when doing agricultural work. This is because agriculture requires a lot of lifting activities, carrying heavy loads, working in bent and squatting positions, there is a risk of slipping and there is a risk of falling from the slippery paddy fields. This study aims to identify agricultural risks for elderly farmers. Data collection was carried out using Focus Group Discussions, to identify complaints with the Nordic Body Map (NBM) and risk assessment with the Agricultural Whole-Body Assessment (AWBA). Complaint data obtained, namely respondents stated that they had Gotrak complaints (muscle and skeletal disorders) on the waist and legs. Results questionnaire NBM, namely the level of complaints of pain in the highest part of the body that is felt, namely the waist. While the results of the AWBA risk assessment show that most of the work postures of elderly farmers are at high risk (high) with a percentage of 53% and a risk level of work duration of 73% of agricultural activities has a risk of 4 (very high).

Abstract

Abstract

Periodontitis is a chronic inflammation of the periodontal tissues caused by periodontal pathogens, such as Porphyromonas gingivalis (P. gingivalis). P. gingivalis possesses several virulence factors that enable it to invade and spread through the bloodstream to other organs, including the ovaries. It triggers inflammation, which may impact the number of primordial follicles. The aim of this study was to assess the effects of P. gingivalis infection on the number of primordial follicles in the ovaries. This study was a laboratory experiment with a post-test control group design. The rats were divided into control and periodontitis groups. The periodontitis group consisted of rats induced with P. gingivalis in their sulcus gingiva of the first mandible molar every three days for 19 days. Therefore, control groups were without P. gingivalis induction. Seven days after the last induction of P. gingivalis, the rats were euthanized, and their ovarian tissues were collected for histological preparation. The primordial follicles were counted under 400x magnification. The results indicated that the treatment group had a significantly lower number of primordial follicles (2.2 ± 2.61) compared to the control group (12.4 ± 2.41). The study concludes that P. gingivalis infection led to a reduction in the number of ovarian primordial follicles in periodontitis models.
