Macroscopic and symbolic representation used in chemistry instruction to represent chemical changes are unable to visualize chemical changes that occur at atomic and molecular level. The purpose of this study is to develop interactive multimedia to enhance of macroscopic and symbolic representation by providing submicroscopic representation of electrolyte and non electrolyte solutions. The media was developed by using Adobe Flash and validated by experts and used for trial in small and large groups of students before the final product was being used in a real classroom teaching based on Computer Model approach. Providing submicroscopic representation attracts student’s attentions and retention in studying the teaching materials and potentially improves student’s understanding and achievement.

TPACK based learning devices development research on the colligative properties is intended to develop Lesson Plan (RPP) and student’s activity sheets (LKS) in the form of a flip page ebook, apply the RPP and LKS and analyze the relationship among components of TPACK compiler. This research done by applying 4D Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel Model, that has been modified. The results indicated on learning activities at the meeting I 92%, meeting II dan III 93,4%, meeting IV dan V 86,7%, meeting VI 86,1%, meeting VII 91,4%, all of them belong to the category of “highly optimized”. Students gave positive responses to the learning and products developed. The average percentage of student’s critical thinking skills as a whole is 66.3% which includes the category of “good”.

This development research is conducted at SMKN 3 Jambi, the purpose is to develop contextual based chemistry learning material for Xth grade Technological Vocational High School (SMK) with content and contex representative enough for SMKN 3 students. The model used in this research development is the type 1 development mode from Richey by adopting the development model of Dick & Carey. This development research is conducted in four important steps, they are analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The data are collected using openended questionaire. The subjects are students from class X TPM1, X TKR2, and X TKR3. These samples are taken randomly but remain to represent each student ability level, high, medium and very low. The research result shows the positif respond towards the developed product. Based on the collected and analyzed data, it can be concluded that the developed product is interesting, simple and easy to understand, can increase student’s positif characters such as interest, participation, responsibility, and relate to student selected skill.

Local content mediated PBL model is a facility to make students active and also as a media to deliver massages in learning process that make an independent student. By knowing student’s learning style, the teacher can implement the suitable learning model. So it can increase the learning result. Based on the result of this research we found the effect of learning model of local content mediated PBL to the learning result. The learning result is different between students who have kinesthetic learning style and student who have auditory learning style. Given the existence interaction between learning models of local content mediated PBL and learning style to the student’s learning result it can be concluded that by knowing student’s learning style, the teacher can implement the appropriate lesson model that ultimately could increase students’ learning result.

Research was conducted to determine the effect of group learning model investigations and motivation of student to the understanding of biological in class XI science SMA 12 merangintotaling 56 people. The study design consisted of two group: the experiment group and the control group as well as the intruments used were questionnaires and objective test. The result showed that: (1) there is no effect of the use of group learning model of media investigation of students understanding of concepts in biology subject. 2) thereis no difference in the ability of undestanding the concept of highly motivated students when compared to studentswho have motivation the subject of biology. 3) there is no interaction between the use of media investigative group learning model with student motivation.

This study was based on less varied learning model used in chemistry and to practice thinking skills that students can apply the concepts to solve chemical problems. It was done to try out the inquiry training model. The research instruments were used to measure dependent variable which is scientific thinking. Two learning models were applied: inquiry training model applied on the experiment group and lecture method applied on the control group. Critical thinking as the moderator variable that was measured through the critical thinking tests. The experimental research used 2 x 2 factorial design 8 meeting. The data were analyzed using two ways Anova and Tuckey test. The study concluded that: 1) There are differences of the scientific thinking skills between the inquiry training model and the lecture method learning model. 2) There is a significant difference of the scientific thinking skills between low and high level of critical thinking skills. 3) There are differences of scientific thinking skills of low levels critical thinking students between students who were taught by inquiry training model and that of by lecture learning method. 4) There are differences in scientific thinking skills among the group of students who had high level of critical thinking taught by inquiry training model and lecturing learning model. 5) There is no interaction between the application of inquiry training model to the level of critical thinking to the students scientific thinking skills.

The purpose of this study is to create students’ worksheet based on character values. This is an R & D research with model ADDIE instructional design model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The feasibility of worksheet was examined using a questionnaire. Based on the questionnaire results validity tested by the experts, the worksheet was declared to be valid and it is applicable to be used and tested, whereas the response of the teachers and students about the worksheet, it stated that the worksheet categorized as a very good one. Meanwhile the data of character development and students’ skill on doing practical work that gained from the observation sheet. The results of the responses of teachers and students to worksheet in the criteria very good so it has good quality on student interest. While the results of the analysis of observation sheets scientific attitude and skills of students in conducting lab has a good criteria. Keyword: Based Worksheet, Chemistry, Senior High School.

This research aimed to determine the effect of group investigation learning model and motivation on the students' learning result. The research employed a quasi experimental research with nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest design. The research used factorial design of 2x2. The population of this research was the first semester of seventh grade students. The sample used VII A and VII B class, samples were taken by using purposive sampling. The learning result data measured using of the tests and motivation data using of questionnaires. The data are analyzed using two-way(s) ANOVA. Test analysis showed that difference between post-test score of experiment class were higher than the control class. Based on the result, it can be concluded that: 1) the implementation of the group learning model investigation affect the students’ learning result, 2) motivation also influences the student learning result. 3) There is no interaction between the group investigation learning model and motivation on the students' learning achievement. The ability to solve problems is a skill that students need to have in dealing with various problems in life. This study aims to determine the effect of problem based learning models; cognitive styles and interaction between both factors on science learning outcomes of students in class VII of MTs 2 Tanjung Jabung Timur in academic year 2015/2016. This research was conducted with a quasi-experimental research method by applying a 2 × 2 factorial design. The study sample consisted of an experimental class of 30 students and a control class of 29 students. Data collection was conducted using two types of instruments, namely the Group Embedded Figures Test (GEFT) to measure students cognitive styles and students' learning outcomes test in essay forms. The Problem Based Learning model affect the learning outcomes, there is significant difference in science learning outcomes between students who have Cognitive field dependent (FD) style that is taught by the Problem Based Learning model and students who have Cognitive FD style that is taught by conventional learning models. The results show that the value of the experimental class post-test is higher than that of the control class. In short, the experimental class with the application of the Problem Based Learning model in the learning process provides higher learning outcomes than that of the conventional models.

Physics is a science that is partly empirical and mathematical as well as abstract; therefore, it requires innovation to attract students' attention and motivation in learning. One of the suitable changes to be developed is in the form of interactive learning media based on Macromedia Flash. This study aims to develop an interactive learning media based on Macromedia Flash on thermodynamic materials and to find out the responses of teachers and students who use the media. This developmental research adopts the ADDIE development model. Material expert validated the product in two stages with the final percentage of 82.7% (very good/correct category). Media expert approved in two-stages with the final score of 91.2% (valid category). The small group test consisted of 8 students, and a large group test consisted of 18 students. The score of student response analysis in small groups 86.25% (very good categories), and large groups 83.40% (very good categories). The score response of the teacher 93.33% (very good category). The developed interactive learning media based on Macromedia Flash on thermodynamic material for class XI IPA Students of SMA is feasible to use.
