Abstract

The common problems faced by students include feeling bored, lacking concentration, and being unmotivated in learning due to the lack of collaboration among students and monotonous learning activities. Therefore, this study aims to implement ice-breaking techniques in Islamic Religious Education to improve students' learning outcomes. This research was conducted using Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles, each consisting of two meetings. Each cycle followed four stages: Planning, Implementation, Observation, and Reflection. Data collection techniques included tests in the form of questions and non-test techniques such as interviews, observations, questionnaires, and documentation. Based on the results of the Classroom Action Research, it was concluded that the implementation of ice-breaking techniques in Islamic Religious Education positively influenced students' learning motivation, leading to improved learning outcomes among fifth-grade students at UPT SPF SD Inpres Perumnas 1 Makassar. The study results showed that in the pre-test, the students' average score was 68.9 (Low), with six students achieving mastery, resulting in a 30% mastery level (Low). In the first cycle, applying the ice-breaking technique to students' understanding of Islamic Religious Education resulted in an average test score of 79 (Moderate), with 13 students achieving mastery, reaching a 65% mastery level (Low). In the second cycle, the implementation of ice-breaking techniques led to an improvement in students' learning outcomes, with an average score of 89.6 (High), and 18 students achieving mastery, reaching a 90% mastery level (High). The success indicators in this study, using the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, demonstrated an improvement in students' understanding, as evidenced by the increase in mastery learning percentages from the pre-test, first cycle, and second cycle, ultimately reaching 80% of the total number of fifth-grade students as the final learning achievement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of changes in the sanad-based learning approach in modern Islamic boarding schools on students, teachers, and the schools themselves. Additionally, this research aims to investigate whether this approach provides a positive contribution to the understanding of religion, character development, and the relevance of Islamic boarding schools in contemporary society. The research method used is a literature review with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained from relevant literature sources, including scholarly journals, books, articles, and documents related to sanad-based modern Islamic boarding school education. Data analysis was conducted using a content analysis approach to identify common patterns in the accessed literature. The results of the literature review indicate that the sanad-based learning revolution has a positive impact on students' understanding of religion. Furthermore, this approach also has the potential to assist in shaping students' character by emphasizing ethical and moral values. Islamic boarding schools that implement this approach also tend to be more relevant in contemporary society, attracting student interest and gaining broader support from the community. In conclusion, based on the results of this literature review, it can be concluded that the revolution in sanad-based learning in modern Islamic boarding schools has a positive influence on enhancing religious understanding, character development, and the relevance of these schools in society. This approach has helped Islamic boarding schools remain relevant in the face of modern challenges. The contribution of this study is to provide a better understanding of the changes in the approach to learning in modern Islamic boarding schools and its positive contribution to Islamic education in Indonesia. This study can serve as a foundation for further development in the field of Islamic boarding school education and sanad-based learning.

Abstract

The Quarter Life Crisis phenomenon generally occurs between the ages of 20 and 30, when individuals feel depressed and anxious about their future, including their career, social relationships, and personal life. During this phase, individuals often feel that their lives are controlled by fate and cannot be changed. The concept of suffering in this study is seen as a physical and psychological experience involving mental reactions to external conditions. This study aims to understand the essence of suffering and the process of self-transcendence among UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya students experiencing the Quarter Life Crisis phase. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations of respondents who met the criteria of age, experience of suffering, and involvement in social organizations. Wong’s Self-Transcendence Theory analyzes how individuals can overcome suffering by focusing on positive aspects of their lives and finding meaning through self-reflection and meaningful activities. The results of this study indicate that suffering experienced during the Quarter Life Crisis can serve as a means for self-reflection and improving the quality of life, as well as helping individuals achieve a higher level of understanding of their life goals and spiritual relationships.

Abstract

Perkembangan zaman dan teknologi yang semakin maju, tuntutan terhadap dunia pendidikan berbarengan dengan tuntutan kemajuan tersebut, pendidikan dituntut untuk berdinamis, oleh karena Pendidikan merupakan bentuk paling substansi dalam kehidupan manusia. Selain itu juga, faktanya semakin nampak bahwa pendidikan Islam selama ini dilakukan dengan melalui metode lama (ceramah) yang lebih banyak (dominan). Sehingga menimbulkan penilaian atau stigmatisasi adanya kebekuan (stagnasi) konsep Pendidikan Islam yang menyebabkan pendidikan Islam kian tertinggal. Selain itu, penggunaan metode pembelajaran dalam proses belajar mengajar yang digunakan diantaranya metode ceramah, tanya jawab, demonstrasi, diskusi dan pemberian tugas dan metode latihan dirasakan perlu adanya penyegaran agar peserta didik/siswa tidak merasa bosan dengan proses pembelajaran. Melalui kegiatan gerakan literasi digital diharapkan menjadi langkah awal bagi peserta didik/siswa dan guru-guru di MTS AiAi dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran khususnya Pendidikan Islam. Oleh karenanya, diharapkan pengabdian ini dapat menjadi solusi konkret terhadap moderasi pendidikan islam di MTS AiAi. Metode pelaksanaan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini terbagi menjadi 3 tahapan kegiatan yaitu tahapan persiapan, pemberian materi dan pasca pelaksanaan kegiatan, dengan estimasi waktu pelaksanaan kurang lebih selama 4 bulan dari bulan Juni - September 2024. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan memberikan sosialisasi dan edukasi kepada murid-murid dan guru-guru MTS AiAi di Sungaiselan mengenai pembelajaran literasi digital di Era Modern pada Pelajaran Pendidikan islam.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the halal industry as a solution to increase economic growth in West Nusa Tenggara. The research approach uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interview methods. The findings in this research are that economic growth in a province can be increased, one of which is through optimizing the halal industry. By optimizing sharia-based industry, it will become an attractive brand for investors, tourists and creative economy players to improve the economy in NTB. This labeling of the halal industry must of course be supported by binding and sustainable provincial government regulations. So the existence of a halal park industry roadmap designed by the provincial government really helps accelerate the halal industry so that economic growth in NTB can grow and be strong. The halal industry not only pays attention to halal tourism, halal food, halal cosmetics and medicines but also pays attention to the facilities and infrastructure of the sharia financial industry, where the growth of sharia industrial assets in NTB is currently still relatively slow. The role of the OJK as well as financial and non-bank institutions is very much needed so that this halal industry can develop well.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana penyebaran dakwah melalui aplikasi TikTok. Kemudian untuk mengetahui dampak penyebaran dakwah melalui aplikasi TikTok. Dan untuk mengetahui apa saja faktor penghambat dan pendukung penyebaran dakwah melalui aplikasi TikTok terhadap remaja di Desa Tonro Sepe'e Kecamatan Liliriaja Kabupaten Soppeng. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yakni penelitian yang menggunakan data kualitatif misalnya pernyataan, kalimat dan bukan angka. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini berlokasi di Tonro Sepe’e Kelurahan Appanang Kecamatan Liliriaja Kabupaten Soppeng. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama bulan Agustus-Oktober 2023. Adapun hasil penelitian ini adalah mayoritas remaja yang ada di Tonro Sepe’e menggunakan media sosial TikTok dan sering melihat video dakwah yang dibagikan menggunakan short video. Remaja di Desa Tonro Sepe'e telah menggunakan media sosial TikTok selama kurang lebih 3 tahun dan mayoritas dari mereka menonton konten dakwah secara teratur atau sesekali. Mereka melihat penyebaran dakwah melalui media sosial TikTok sebagai sesuatu yang positif dan bermanfaat bagi pemahaman agama dan moral mereka dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Menonton konten dakwah di media sosial TikTok telah memberikan dampak positif pada pemahaman agama dan moralitas remaja, dengan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan agama Islam dan upaya untuk meningkatkan perilaku positif serta menghindari perilaku negatif. Konten dakwah yang menarik, kreatif, dan disajikan dengan cara yang menghibur menjadi faktor pendukung utama dalam menarik minat remaja untuk menonton dan mengakses konten dakwah di media sosial TikTok. Namun, keterbatasan jaringan dan kualitas perangkat seperti jaringan yang buruk, hp yang lemot, atau keterbatasan kuota internet, menjadi faktor penghambat utama yang menyulitkan akses dan menikmati konten dakwah dengan lancar

Abstract

Plant damages caused by leafhopper, Empoasca terminalis Distant (Homoptera: Cicadellidae) on soybean were first encountered in 2007 in Makassar, South Sulawesi. The insect has been constantly associated with soybean crops in the province ever since. The purposes of the present study were to (i) evaluate potential yield loss attributable to the leafhopper in an experimental set up, (ii) seasonal abundance of E. terminalis, and (iii) distribution of E. terminalis in all major soybean-producing areas in the province. Potential yield loss due to the leafhopper was assessed in a field experiment using two large plots. One of the plots was kept leafhopper-free by weekly insecticide sprays; and the other plot was left unsprayed to allow leafhopper infestation to occur. Adult abundance was weekly monitored using a sweep net throughout the season. Nymph abundance was determined by direct count on the plant leaves. Leafhopper distribution was assessed through surveys conducted in all major soybean-producing areas in South Sulawesi, from 2009–2013. The results of the study showed that E. terminalis caused an average yield loss of 26% on susceptible crops without insecticide use. First leafhopper infestation in all planting seasons occurred two weeks after the plant emergence. Rainfall negatively correlated with the leafhopper abundance. The leafhopper existed in all major soybean production areas in the province. Therefore, our results confirmed the status of E. terminalis as an important soybean pest in the region. In addition, crops planted early in the dry season could escape from heavy leafhopper infestation.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Kota Kapur, Bangka, dengan tujuan memperkuat moderasi beragama melalui pendidikan multikultural berbasis sinkretisme agama yang berpijak pada tradisi lokal. Latar belakang program ini adalah tingginya keragaman budaya dan agama di Kota Kapur yang berpotensi menimbulkan gesekan sosial apabila tidak dikelola dengan baik, sekaligus memiliki kekuatan sebagai modal sosial dalam membangun kohesi masyarakat. Metode kegiatan meliputi dialog lintas komunitas yang mempertemukan tokoh agama, adat, dan etnis; workshop pendidikan multikultural bagi guru, mahasiswa, serta pemuda; serta produksi media edukasi berupa booklet dan video tentang tradisi lokal yang sarat nilai toleransi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat menyambut positif inisiatif ini, dan tradisi sinkretik dipahami sebagai kekuatan yang memperkuat identitas lokal dan kebersamaan. Generasi muda juga memperoleh wawasan baru tentang pentingnya moderasi beragama sebagai benteng menghadapi arus intoleransi global. Program ini memberikan kontribusi nyata bagi pengembangan model pendidikan multikultural berbasis tradisi lokal yang dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain di Indonesia.

This article intends to examine the concept of scientific ethics in Islamwith a focus on the thoughts of Harun Nasution.Harun Nasution is a controversial Islamic reformer. His idea was born as a response toand against the traditional ideas that developed at that time, evenHarun Nasution dared to go against the flow of traditional thoughtethics that had long been rusty and difficult to remove. The emphasisof this paper is on the presentation of Harun Nasution's progressivethinking in various main issues in the study of Islamic ethical thought,such as the idea of progress, coexistence between the Absolute-Textual (qath'i) and relative-contextual (zhanni) regions as afoundation the development of science in Islam, rational andtraditional categorization, inclusive attitudes: accepting culture orknowledge from outside, freedom and development mentality: freedomof thought and action, cosmology: belief in causality as a source ofsuccess, moral problems and Harun Nasution's criticism ofmaterialistic / hedonistic culture. This paper is presented consideringthat in a dynamic society, scientific ethics and community educationplay a role in determining the existence and development of society.Likewise with the role of scientific and educational ethics which is oneform of manifestation of the ideals of Islamic life to preserve, transferand instill (internalization) and transform Islamic values to thepersonal of the next generation, so that cultural-religious values areaspirated in society over time.

Abstract

Background: In the digital era, social media has become a dominant force shaping how students communicate, express religious identity, and experience mental well-being. Purpose: This study investigates the influence of social media on three interrelated dimensions—religious behavior, social interaction, and mental health—among students in Islamic education. Method: Employing a quantitative correlational method, data were collected from 96 students at MTs Muhammadiyah Panaikang, South Sulawesi, using structured Likert-scale questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted through Pearson correlation tests and descriptive statistics. Result: The findings show a moderate positive correlation (r = 0.48, p < 0.05) between social media use and religious behavior, indicating that online Islamic content may reinforce students’ spiritual practices. A strong positive correlation (r = 0.62, p < 0.01) was also found between social media and social interaction, highlighting its role in strengthening peer communication and digital community building. Conversely, a moderate negative correlation (r = –0.55, p < 0.01) emerged between social media and mental health, suggesting that excessive use contributes to stress, anxiety, and emotional fatigue. These findings underscore the dual role of social media as both an enabler of digital religiosity and a source of psychological strain. Conclusion: The study concludes that while social media offers educational and spiritual benefits, its overuse necessitates the integration of digital literacy and ethical guidance grounded in Islamic values. Educators are encouraged to embed Islamic digital ethics and mental health awareness into the curriculum to promote balanced online engagement. Future research should explore long-term behavioral patterns and develop integrative digital ethics frameworks suited to Islamic educational settings.
