Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan mutu sekolah di SD Negeri 75 Palembang. Mutu sekolah merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam dunia pendidikan karena berhubungan dengan kualitas pembelajaran, prestasi peserta didik, serta kepercayaan masyarakat terhadap lembaga pendidikan. Kepala sekolah sebagai pemimpin memiliki peran utama dalam merancang, mengarahkan, dan melaksanakan berbagai program peningkatan mutu sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode observasi dan wawancara. Data diperoleh melalui pengamatan langsung terhadap kondisi sekolah serta wawancara dengan kepala sekolah dan guru sebagai narasumber. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif melalui tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan mutu sekolah dilakukan melalui beberapa upaya, yaitu meningkatkan disiplin warga sekolah, membina dan meningkatkan kompetensi guru, menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang nyaman, melengkapi sarana dan prasarana, serta menjalin kerja sama dengan orang tua dan masyarakat. Selain itu, strategi kepala sekolah dalam pelaksanaan, pengawasan dan juga hambatan dalam pelaksanaan dan pengawasan. kepala sekolah juga mendorong pengembangan kegiatan akademik dan nonakademik guna meningkatkan prestasi siswa.

Abstract

This study evaluates the implementation of the Digital Smart Classroom program at MAN 3 Palembang using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. The research is driven by the disparity between rapid technological infrastructure expansion and educators' actual pedagogical readiness. Employing a qualitative-dominant mixed-methods approach, data were gathered through in-depth interviews with 18 key informants, participatory observations, and questionnaires distributed to 72 respondents. The findings reveal that while the Context and Input phases show strong institutional alignment and infrastructure readiness (score 3.70–3.90), teacher digital pedagogical competence remains a critical bottleneck (score 3.60). Process evaluation indicates that digital transformation has successfully fostered an active learning environment (score 4.05), although it is frequently hindered by network stability issues (score 3.45). Ultimately, the Product evaluation demonstrates that the program significantly enhances student motivation and satisfaction, placing it in the "Very Good" category (score 4.21). The study concludes that successful digital transformation in madrasahs necessitates a strategic shift from hardware-oriented procurement to sustainable human resource development, with a focus on innovative digital pedagogical strategies.

Abstract

Institutional transformation in higher education has become unavoidable in response to regulatory changes, organizational demands, and socio-cultural developments in the Society 5.0 era. In Indonesia, private universities affiliated with faith-based organizations face additional challenges in governance, cultural integration, and institutional legitimacy. This study investigates the transformation process of Aisyiyah higher education institutions through a case study of Universitas Aisyiyah Palembang, which evolved from a health-focused college into a comprehensive university. The research aims to examine change management practices, identify internal and external challenges, and evaluate strategic initiatives undertaken during the transformation process. A qualitative approach was used, including in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, to explore organizational experiences and leadership strategies. The findings indicate that institutional change followed a structured process involving preparation, transition, and stabilization phases. Key obstacles included financial constraints, human resource readiness, regulatory compliance, and cultural adaptation. These challenges were addressed through collegial leadership, strategic institutional development, and the internalization of Al-Islam and Kemuhammadiyahan values as a foundation for organizational sustainability. The study concludes that successful institutional transformation requires strong leadership commitment, cultural alignment, and long-term strategic planning.

Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of a professional development program for Islamic education teachers organized by the Palembang City Government, Indonesia. Despite the growing number of teacher-training initiatives, empirical evaluations of programs specifically designed for Islamic education teachers remain limited, particularly at the local government level. Therefore, this study aims to examine the program’s effectiveness in improving teachers’ competencies using the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) evaluation framework. The study employed a sequential explanatory mixed-methods design. Quantitative data were collected through questionnaires from 66 Islamic education teachers, while qualitative data were obtained through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The quantitative results indicate very high levels of agreement across all CIPP components: 94.53% for context evaluation, 95.53% for input, 97.02% for process, and 98.51% for product evaluation. The findings also indicate improvements in teachers’ professional, pedagogical, personality, and social competencies after participating in the program. These results suggest that the program effectively enhances teachers’ instructional capacity and supports improvements in the quality of Islamic education. This study provides empirical evidence on the effectiveness of local government-led professional development programs and contributes to the application of the CIPP evaluation model in Islamic education policy contexts.

Abstract

Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi di era globalisasi saat ini memicu pergeseran paradigma yang masif di sektor edukasi. Institusi pendidikan Islam, yang meliputi madrasah, pondok pesantren, hingga universitas keagamaan, dituntut untuk segera beradaptasi dengan disrupsi ini agar tidak tergerus oleh perkembangan zaman. Dunia pendidikan, termasuk ekosistem pendidikan Islam, telah diubah secara dramatis oleh transformasi digital. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk mempelajari dinamika transformasi digital di institusi pendidikan Islam, melihat masalah yang dihadapi, melihat peluang, dan membuat garis besar reformasi kebijakan yang akan datang. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, dengan pendekatan deskriptif untuk mengeksplorasi data dari berbagai sumber literatur ilmiah, regulasi pemerintah, serta dokumen strategis terkait penerapan teknologi pada pendidikan berbasis agama. Berdasarkan hasil analisis konten, ditemukan beberapa kendala krusial, seperti ketimpangan fasilitas teknologi antarwilayah, kompetensi literasi digital guru yang belum merata, hingga adanya keengganan sosiokultural dalam mengadopsi kurikulum digital karena kekhawatiran memudarnya tradisi luhur. Kendati demikian, digitalisasi membawa angin segar berupa kemudahan perluasan akses sumber belajar, sistem pembelajaran mandiri yang lebih fleksibel bagi siswa, serta pembaruan strategi syiar pendidikan agar lebih memikat generasi muda. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa untuk mengoptimalkan potensi tersebut, diperlukan reformasi kebijakan yang holistik, mencakup peningkatan kompetensi digital guru, integrasi teknologi dalam kurikulum berbasis nilai (value-based education), serta penguatan kolaborasi lintas sektor. Fokus dari rekomendasi kebijakan adalah untuk membangun lingkungan pendidikan Islam yang inklusif, fleksibel terhadap perubahan zaman, sambil tetap mempertahankan identitas Islam.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the dialectical relationship between education and power throughout the history of civilizations, and to explain the strategic role of education as an agent of social transformation. This research employs a literature study method (library research) by examining various academic literatures, books, and relevant scientific journals. The findings indicate that in ancient civilizations, education was elitist and designed to maintain existing power hierarchies. In Islamic civilization, education played a dual role: as a center for scientific advancement supported by rulers, and simultaneously as a tool for political legitimation. During the colonial era, education functioned as a mechanism for social control, yet paradoxically fostered nationalist consciousness among the oppressed. In the modern era, education has become a crucial state policy instrument, while simultaneously possessing the potential to critically challenge oppressive power structures. In conclusion, education inherently possesses a dual function as both a tool for power reproduction and a vehicle for social change. Therefore, educational management must be conducted inclusively, fairly, and democratically to truly empower society and build a more just and advanced civilization.
