Abstract

This article discusses about a political shari’ah’s view on the implementation of the village’s head election in Daleman-Kedungdung-Sampang. The results of the research conclude that the mechanism of the village’s head election starting from the formation of the committee election, the candidates crawl, the campaign, the voice collecting and counting, and the announcement and the establishment of elected candidates. The election committee has done them according to the procedures and not in conflict with the political shari’ah as well as the Regional Regulation of Sampang No. 5 year 2006 concerning the procedures for the nomination, election, appointment and dismissal of the head of the village. However, in its implementation, there was one of the candidates practiced money politics and intimidation where the money politics is banned by Islamic law, while intimidation violates the basic values of the political shari’ah about welfare. It is not also justified under article 15 of Regional Regulation No. 5, article 15 year 2006 of Sampang. In addition to the money politics and intimidation practice, the village’s head election is also tinged with gambling which is obviously forbidden in Islam. However, the Regional Regulation has not clearly set those practices yet.

Abstract

MSME business actors have a significant role in the Indonesian economy. However, there are still various obstacles faced by MSME business actors, including those related to halal certification literacy. Based on data from the Halal Product Guarantee Organizing Agency (BPJPH), only around 2.8% of MSMEs in Indonesia have been halal certified. The low level of halal certification among MSMEs is caused by a lack of understanding and literacy regarding the procedures and benefits of halal certification. Sipirok Market is one of the traditional markets in Indonesia with the majority of traders selling various food and beverage products, but the majority do not have halal certification. Therefore, it is important to carry out halal certification literacy activities aimed at MSMEs in 'Aisyiyah Branch of Sipirok Market. Data collection was carried out through focus group discussions, observations and questionnaires. Based on an initial survey conducted on 25 MSMEs at Sipirok Market, it was discovered that as many as 18 MSMEs (72%) had not received halal certification from BPJPH. They generally still do not understand the procedures and requirements needed to obtain halal certification. Apart from that, they also don't know the benefits that can be obtained by having halal certification for the products they sell. Based on the results of community service activities, it can be concluded that halal certification literacy for MSME business actors in the Sipirok Market Branch is still relatively low.

Abstract

The Bayan traditional house in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara, exemplifies traditional architecture that integrates Indigenous Knowledge (IK) in building construction. This study aims to analyze the construction techniques of the Bayan traditional house in enhancing earthquake resistance and environmental adaptation while exploring its potential application in sustainable modern architecture. A qualitative research approach with a case study design was employed, incorporating participant observation, in-depth interviews with key informants, and document and visual analysis. Findings reveal that Bayan traditional houses utilize distinctive construction techniques such as nail-free wooden joinery, flexible local materials like bamboo and hardwood, and thatched roofs that adapt to tropical climates. These techniques enhance structural flexibility in absorbing seismic shocks while providing optimal thermal efficiency and natural ventilation. These findings align with previous studies indicating that IK-based structures demonstrate greater resilience compared to modern concrete buildings. This study asserts that IK principles in Bayan traditional houses can be integrated into contemporary architectural design to create more environmentally friendly and disaster-resilient buildings. Therefore, policies promoting the adoption of IK-based construction techniques in modern housing and infrastructure development are essential to enhance sustainability and disaster preparedness in the future.

Abstract

This development research aims to produce a product in the form of an ethnophysics-based learning tool to improve prospective physics teachers' valid and effective self-regulation. The products developed are Lecture Event Units known as SAP, Student Worksheets or LKM, Teaching Materials, and test instruments. The research design used is a 4D model consisting of Defining, Designing, Developing, and Disseminating. Data collection techniques use validation sheets and evaluation tools. Device validity data was analyzed using a Likert scale. Three expert validators assess product validity. Assessment by validators with valid to very valid criteria. The effectiveness of the teaching materials developed by researchers can be determined by increasing students' self-regulation based on the results of the N-Gain test after being given a pretest and posttest. The planning indicators show that the percentage of students who were suitable/suitable before implementing the ethno-physics learning model was 42%. This indicates that more than 50% of students have self-management related to learning planning that still needs to be improved. Applying the ethno-physics learning model as a stimulus to help students manage good learning planning contributed 36%, increasing to 78%. The monitoring indicator also has the same increase in the number of students as the planning indicator, namely 36%. This can be described as more and more students being able to manage their learning by monitoring their learning process. The evaluation indicator shows the largest percentage increase in the number of students, namely 38%, while it is only 28% for strengthening. This indicates that the ethno-physics learning model has the greatest contribution to stimulating students' evaluation abilities

Abstract

This study examines student performance in project-based learning by assessing their tendencies toward divergent or convergent thinking. A questionnaire was developed to help teachers identify and maximize the thinking potential of individual students during the learning process. The research involved 149 junior high school students from West Lombok for validity and reliability testing and 84 respondents for the categorization trial. Instruments were validated by experts using descriptive methods and percentage scores. Validity was determined through product moment correlation coefficients, while reliability was assessed using alpha reliability coefficients. Categorization utilized non-level (nominal) categorization methods. The study employed a pre-experimental approach with a one-shot case study design, involving 33 eighth-grade students in a local natural pesticide project. Student performance was evaluated through practical skill assessments and comprehensive portfolios. Data analysis used percentage and comparative statistical methods. Results showed the questionnaire contained 40 items—20 each for divergent and convergent thinking—with an expert validation score of 89.50, rated excellent. All items were valid, with correlation values exceeding the critical threshold (rtable = 0.16). Reliability scores were high for divergent and convergent groups (0.64 and 0.72) and satisfactory for all items (0.55). The questionnaire effectively categorized up to 20% of subjects into divergent and convergent groups. The study revealed significant performance differences between the two groups and recommends mixing students with divergent and convergent propensity in group projects to enhance outcomes.
